Google
I hate that I have to write this not so great Review, Because I know how hard these businesses work To keep their establishment running. CHEN’S kitchen Used to be my go to spot very close to me, And service was good as well. Until Recently, I went there And got a particular dish And as I was eating the food, I noticed it taste funny but I tried to bypass it because I was hungry, Then I tasted a bigger piece of the meat and immediately spit it out and everything else that was in my mouth, Earlier I said the food tasted funny, funny is not the word to describe how the food taste. I can’t even explain it. Let’s just say maybe the meat was rotten or whatever and they threw it in some sauce and it kind of hid taste, but you could still taste The Sourness through it. I called back and got a refund, And they admitted the meat was bad and they weren’t paying attention and that they threw it out as much as I appreciate honesty. That is unacceptable. Thank God, I did not get sick. I will never eat here again, or recommend it to anybody, Since that Experience I don’t even feel comfortable eating takeout anymore. Get sick and contract things and you never know where you got it from because you didn’t show Sandra right away where he didn’t get sick right away. These establishments got to do a better job keeping up up-to-date. And safe no cutting corners, if the meat is bad, throw it away take the loss

Pepper steak without steak! Cashiers was friendly and my food was prepared reasonably fast and good flavor. However, the pepper steak I ordered came with less of an ounce of beef. Please see the pictures below.

Google
The food is horrible there now... Looks like it's leftovers from 3 days or more. Pork fried rice had 1 piece of egg and 3 or 4 pieces of pork. Which is why I say it's leftovers. The wings were so salty and extra crispy, I threw them away... wasted my money. The service is nice and fast but tje food is nasty. It wasn't like that few years ago... I'm disappointed 😞

Google
Late dinner and had a craving for Chinese. This place is a miss for me. If you like dry tasteless underwhelming cuisine and Special fried rice without shrimp then this place is for you. Don’t support places like this unless they give us quality; have some respect for yourself and go to Wawa🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

Google
I’ve eaten Chinese takeout from here across the US all the way to SoCal. This place is phenomenal! Even tho I ordered only 20mins til close (I know I’m horrible 😖) the food was fresh and no one gave me an attitude like most places do right before closing. I got something simple, chicken lo mein dinner combo with pork fried rice and egg drop soup. The meat was moist and flavorful, the noodles were saucy and savory, the fried rice was dense but still fluffy. The pork egg roll was the best I’ve had in years! Only reason I gave 4 stars for food is because the spring roll was not the best and the portion of soup was tiny.

Google
Tried this bc rating was a 3.8, idk how bc this taste nothing like Chinese food. Got General Tso it has a strong smell but no salt, no spice, a little sweet. Taste like unreasoned chicken and they must of doused a tone of syrup thinking that would be enough flavor...it wasnt. The rice is firm with little meat. There was Spanish cooks and the food looks Spanish. This is not traditional chinese food & that was the downfall of this plate. There was no air conditioning;it's humid. I'm the only 1 at the register. there was language barrier so the employees I did see couldn't take me I guess. or maybe their just only back of the house workers (not gonna knock them for it but something to think about).

Yelp
Was working in the area and looked for a place for us for lunch and based on reviews, we came here. Once inside, we noticed it was a carryout only place, but they did have a table and four chairs, so we opted to eat our carry-out food there. The restroom is closed to the public and they have a steady stream of people coming in to pick up carry-out food. They even had a homeless guy walk in and start begging from us, inside of the restaurant. The items we ordered were cooked quite quickly but had very little flavor. I ordered chicken and broccoli, and while the ingredients looked good and fresh, there was no Chinese flavor to it, so it was quite bland and boring. The pork fried rice was ok, only slightly better than the chicken and broccoli. The lady working the counter was friendly. Prices were decent. Definitely would not return though.

Yelp
Food is always tasty, I have had it five times and it's consistent and flavor always hold up to expectations. They are fast and always open on days when most are closed, a little gem

Yelp
The food is just not good at all, the rice is not like normal fried rice and there are no veggies in it. The chicken was dry. Wontons had a weird taste. Worst Chinese food experience I've had in south Florida

Yelp
I ordered the Shrimp with Lobster sauce, and was like shrimp swimming in water no taste I was very disappointed. I would never order that dish from them ever.

Yelp
3.5 stars for the food and 5 stars for the price. Chens Kitchen just opened not too long ago located at the plaza where Walmart, Krispy Kreme, Chipolte, WAWA gas is located. So yes you have options just in case. We were hungry after some Christmas shopping at Walmart and walked over to Chens. Chens Kitchen is a small Chinese restaurant. Better for take-out but since they are freshly open, the store is nice, modern, cute and has blackboard like wall with writing on it that can entertain you as you wait for your food. They only have 5 tables; 3 inside and 2 al fresco. You order at their counter and then wait for your meal. Prices are good. Meals range from $6 to $17 more or less. Very affordable for a plastic white to-go container full of food. I went for lunch and took advantage of their lunch specials; $6.95. Jalapeno Chicken - thin chicken strips with different peppers and few jalapenos. On the menu it says spicy but it was far from it and so I was disappointed because I like spicy. Comes with pork fried rice that was ehh OK and an egg roll that was good. The overall flavor is good, it just needed the jalapeno kick that I was expecting. This meal should be called chicken and peppers. Chicken Lo Mein - Basic Chicken lo mein; chicken and noodles with veggies, pork fried rice; again ehh ok and an egg roll. They need a bigger variety for drinks. They have a refrigerator that you can open and grab a drink but the options are few. They only have some basic sodas, water and ice tea. They should carry more variety and having some Chinese sodas, drinks or products would kick Chens Kitchen up a notch. Service was fine, nothing out of the ball park, they are new and they looked busy trying to get the flow of things. I will try again because it was decent and the price was good for a quick nothing fancy lunch.

Yelp
My first time here. The food was very good. I ordered the special fried rice with the fried shrimp appetizer. I was on my way to work and wanted something good to eat. The food was nicely prepared with all the sauces along with a plate, fork and napkins. Will definitely go again soon

Yelp
The best in town! Just found this place driving by and was immediately drawn in by the family atmosphere in the place. Food is cooked on the spot.

Tyler F.

Yelp
I love this place. The food always tastes fresh and is not overcooked. The vegetables are crispy. The rice is done well, not overcooked either. And the woman who runs the show at the front desk is always with a smile, welcoming, and pleasant.I go here about once a week now and get my favorite broccoli and chicken or vegetable lo mein.

Yelp
Food: Greasy Service:Poor Cleanliness Alright Price: Pricey for quality I walked in and the guy working the counter didn't look up from the game he was playing on his phone. He glanced up and I asked to place an order. He asked if I was picking up sesame chicken. I said no I wanted to place an order. He looked annoyed and barely put his phone down. His earbuds were in and he kept saying,"what?!" while I tried to order. He even picked up his phone while I was mid order to continue whatever raid game he was playing. I asked for two combo dinners and when he repeated back the order he said white rice right? And I said no I said fried rice, again he looked annoyed. He then told me the price and to drop my card in the box. He went back to playing his game one handed and literally didn't look at me again. He shoved the report paper at me. When I signed and placed back in box he didn't look up. He didn't give me a time to wait he just proceeded to the corner while chatting on his earbuds and playing his game. When my food was up he pushed through the box barrier and finally looked up to say, "everything good?" I grabbed my food and left. When I got home the general taos was not xspicy as I had asked, it was actually not spicy at all. The chicken quality was rubbery. My wings tasted as if they had been fried in old oil and they looked grayish rather than a nice red brown like I had in the past at other chinese takeout spots. The rice was okay. The best part was the wonton soup. Overall a disappointing experience and I will not be returning.

Yelp
Idk of I can post without changing a rating, but I somehow got a text that my food is ready, and I've never been to or ordered from here. I have no clue if someone else used my number or what, but if it's a way to advertise its definitely backfired. The message sent was the following: Hello, this is chen's kitchen, you order the food was ready, we address: 2630 W Broward Blvd Suite 103 Fort Lauderdale,FL33312. Thank you! Putting 3 stars so it doesn't change the rating much since as I've said, I've never been there.

Yelp
Shares busy, chaotic Super Walmart parking lot. Small inside seating area, table also outside on sidewalk. Quickly greeted and order taken. Order was ready after brief wait. Lemon pepper chicken wings were good, well seasoned & crispy. Brown rice with combo meal was so-so, undercooked. Beautiful bold wall murals.

Shante C.

Yelp
Great restaurant, the food is always good. You can't go wrong with some good Chinese food. You guys should try it.

Yelp
This was the worst chicken and rice Ever. This place needs to be shut down. Dry chicken and greasy rice. I have heartburn 2 days later. Disgusting. Don't order from here safe yourself from throwing up. Say away.

Yelp
It's new it's clean and definitely ahead of many take outs. The menus are on HD monitors rather than the usual menu style. The wall is dressed in artwork. I ordered General Tso dinner with pork fried rice and egg roll. The chicken was perfectly crispy and sauced well. It's not spicy at all and not too sweet. The fried rice was nearly perfect but needed a little more flavor from the oil. The rice had onion and sprouts which not many places use sprouts. My least favorite was the egg roll. It was something about it that I just really didn't care for. I would definitely eat here again especially if I'm waiting for a few hours at Walmart for my car to be ready.

Yelp
I came here for the first time today I got the honey garlic chicken meal The chicken was fried good and they put the sauce on the side which I like so the chicken won't get soggy The pork fried rice they could've kept it .. I'll give it a -1 star I also got the crab Rangoon which is the reason for 2 of the three stars it's a little more than what I usual pay but it's the best thing I've order Overall will I come back I doubt it (probably for the Rangoon) Would I recommend a friend I doubt it

Amy S.

Yelp
This is my first time ordering from this place. I ordered a big family meal with sweet-and-sour chicken and when I went picked it up and brought it home they had forgot the sweet-and-sour sauce. I sent my husband all the way back to get some and they give him a little a** container and then when I called them back and tell them how is this little container supposed to cover a whole pint of chicken she tries to tell me she's going to charge me a dollar for each small container. I have never been given a small container of sweet-and-sour for a pint of chicken. And by the way the food was not great I've definitely had better will not be back.

Yelp
Food is great! Best sweet and sour chicken and they are very polite. There are only a few tables but it can accommodate a quick lunch. I recommend take out.
google avatar

Gary S.

Yelp
Who doesn't have free water.Only water they have is bottled.Brown rice a little crunchy.Large portion, but no flavor.I would not go back.Really for takeout only.Service not that friendly.
google avatar

George H.

Yelp
Really good Chinese food, wings can get a little soggy if not asked to fry them hard. Great prices. Clean environment.
google avatar

Yaa'Nina P.

Yelp
The worst ever. The basic fried rice was stale and there was nothing about the taste that remotely resembled fried rice. Would never return nor recommend.
google avatar

Ashley P.

Yelp
The restaurant itself is dingy and not very clean. The food was just ok, and made me very sick afterwards. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried again, but the food made me sick that day too. I do not recommend unless you have a strong stomache.

Marcus S.

Yelp
I tried all my local Chinese takeouts and was overjoyed with the discovery of Chen's Kitchen. Best Chinese food in years!

Natalie B.

Yelp
The rice is a little bland but other then that it was a very good place I would eat here again the employees are very nice the orange chicken was very tasty

Neisha R.

Yelp
Called to make an online order, but when the employee who answered the phone continued to be rude; I decided against this place. "What do you want?" in a demeaning tone is not good customer service.

Patrick D.

Yelp
Our food was greasy and not eatable. We complained to the owner and he said to bad we charged your card and yelled at us. We eat Chinese food 3 times a week. From Lottos , chopstick and Dragon Tea Room. Which are all great. This place sucks and treats there customers poorly and don't even speak English. HELL NO BAD RESTAURANT AND PEOPLE. THEY ARE RACISTS !!!!!!

Monique R.

Yelp
This is a new, clean location. The food is great especially their lo mein. I am a bit picky with my Chinese food but they cook good. It would be amazing if they delivered but that's okay. You can take a trip here, sit and dine in.
