Cheros Grill

The Cheros bowl was perfect. Fresh veggies, good layering of ingredients, and the right serving size. You can't see from my photo the black beans and rice under all those fresh goodies. I loved that the rice wasn't dry. The service was fast.

The food was amazing and barely took any time for the food to be ready. We got steak tacos and after we finished them, we got seconds. These were some of the best tacos I have ever had! The people are so nice. I would definitely come back.

The steak burrito had: 1. Good beans and rice 2. Crunchy/chewy peppers 3. Soft and squishy tortilla 4. Appropriately flavorful steak It is not a SoCal burrito, but it is arguably the best burrito I’ve had around these parts. I will be coming back! Plus the service was very kind Pull up

So my wife and I were doing our usual dance of "What do you want for dinner?" and I decided to take matters into my own hands and do a search for "food near me". Up pops Cheros Grill. As a proud resident of the People's Republic of Takoma Park, I felt it was necessary to support this local business. So off I went. I have driven past the location for years and never thought about trying it but today was the day and boy oh boy what a day. First, let's start with the clean atmosphere. It may be at a service station but their area is super clean. Upon arrival, you are greeted by the Tia who is very pleasant and about her business. I ordered the steak burrito and the carnitas (pork) for my wife and a carnitas taco on the side for me. The taco is plain just onions and cilantro and doesn't need anything else except the tomatillo sauce. It is small yet powerful. The burrito is chockful of meat, vegetables and well-cooked rice, with the meat thrown on the griddle right there. Overall I would recommend it. I'm going there right now after I post this review.

Pretty mid. Price is good appropriate and location is convenient. The burrito had rice that was a bit hard, and chicken was a bit dry but steak was fine.

Food was quick, good portion, delicious. quesadilla was a little low on the meat but made up for it with tons of cheese. great quesadilla.

Great food, great value, friendly family business. I have been coming here for years, and the burritos and tacos are reliably delicious. Wonderful vegetarian options, too. Strong recommend for reliable and affordable yummy lunch or dinner!

After some iteration, I have concluded that a veggie burrito with rice, extra beans, and no spicy is the ideal combo. The burrito is on the small end, but it is delicious.

Bussin'! Finding the Cheros Chorizo Bowl made my day. Best bowl I've had in a long time, truly made with love by great people. Will definitely be my go-to from now on. I loved the home-style flavor definitely a must-try.

It is always a delight to stop here and grab a few tacos. The toppings are fresh, the hot sauce is delightful and the chefs are so kind making the tacos some of the best around

Yesterday, i was actually planning to get a tuna sandwich from my neighborhood fave, Springmill, when the most delicious smell of grilled meat accosted my nostrils. So i wandered around to this truck that was in the gas station across the street where a line seemed to be forming. I immediately could tell the folks in front of me were regulars--a good sign, especially bc it was cold as heck outside and folks were still in line. I ordered a carne asada burrito, AND YALL--it was friggin delicious. I see why people stand in line! So good in going back today (and adding a pupusa!) Highly recommend. And the pupusas take a little time so if you want one of those, call ahead!

My go-to choice is the burrito, which I have ordered many different ways: chorizo, chicken, veggie... and the care put into preparation along with the quality of the sauce make it an excellent choice each time. Delicious tacos and pupusas, the family who runs the truck are very sweet too! I'll be back soon! Another amazing tacos and pupusas meal from this family run taco truck! To be honest they are our neighbors and my son has been raving about the food he's had when visiting their home for a long time! Always a great choice, so yummy!

**The food truck is located in the parking lot of RS Automotive at 7224 Carroll right across from the co-op. The New Hampshire address is not correct. And their hours are 11-8 Monday through Saturday.** This is a fantastic little food truck that just opened up this summer and I am thrilled that delicious, affordable pupusas are now within walking distance from my house!! As the entire Takoma area becomes more upscale, this humble, little food truck delivers awesome food at great prices. Pupusas are $2, tacos $3, and burritos and quesadillas $8. I ordered three bean and cheese pupusas (which the owner thankfully warned me would take 15-20 minutes in order to hand-make and cook so I went to the co-op in the meantime; the tacos, burritos, and quesadillas take significantly less time). They came out great and the sauce and salad that came with them were particularly delicious, like noticably better than the sauce and salad that I've typically had with pupusas. The sauce was thicker, richer, and more flavorful. The salad tasted really fresh. I will be frequenting this place often! For vegans, while it's not on the menu, I'm guessing the owner could've just as easily made bean pupusas. And just in case anyone's suspicious, no one told me or paid me to write this review. I'm just a Takoma Park resident and foodie who wants this food truck to stay so I'm making sure people know it exists. Also the owner is a Takoma Park resident!

Delicious, Fresh & Fast!!! I'm a taco snob. If it's not from a West Coast food truck, my interest barely exists. I was in Takoma Park and happened to be ravenous while running errands. I made a mental note of the Cheros Grill truck while driving down Carroll Ave. On my way back, I decided to grab three tacos (chix, pork, beef) because I knew I'd be too busy to eat in the next several hours. Best. Food. Decision. Ever. I was immediately delighted by the cheerfulness of the owner as well as the swift preparation. The best part of it all was the fresh ingredients. The taco itself was the most amazing texture, the meat was well seasoned and the presentation was on point. Expectations Supremely Exceeded. I cannot wait to go back for more tacos and to try other offerings. Do yourself a favor and stop by Cheros Grill. I assure you, you won't be disappointed!

Amazing, wonderful, delicious!! My go to spot when Im in TP. And the owners are absolutely the nicest people in the world. Plan ahead 20 min for the pupusas because she makes them fresh just for you. DELICIOUS! Call in your order. You need to give Cheros a try... you wont regret it!

Cheros Grill Food Truck came out to our YMCA event and our members LOVED it!! The steak and cheese is to die for. We are so appreciative of Alma and her family for coming out and serving food at our large event!!

Excellent food truck! They catered food for our baby shower and we couldn't be happier with the service and quality of the food. We are happy to support this local business.

A coworker of mine came back from his lunch break and raved about his tacos. When I asked where did he get them from, he said the food truck on Carroll Ave. Me: Wait what?! There's a food truck on Carroll Ave AND they have tacos! I immediately left out to try this gem that I didn't even know existed. Now once I arrived I must admit there tacos options were limited and without a veggie friendly choice, I wasn't able to indulge. So I opted into the pupusas, but when I was told that the wait for pupusas is 20 minutes I had pass. Now onto my third selection which was the quesadillas, I ordered the cheese quesadilla with beans added. The order was accompanied by a side of sour cream and requested jalapenos (I always need a kick!). Although my quesadilla didn't have a lot going on inside it was still pretty tasty. The woman inside the truck recommended that I get the jalapenos inside the next time because it tastes better that way. Either way, it was good to me lol. I would definitely return to this food truck again to try out the pupusas, (they take call in orders which is cool too) and who knows maybe they'll have some veggie or fish tacos by then!

Some of the best tacos I have had in the DMV. I'm comparing these to the tacos I have had in Baja California, Mexico. Carnitas tacos are my favorite. The taco ingredients are always fresh every time I have gone there! I try going once a week. The owners are super nice and friendly.

Super tacos and great service! Love that it's right around the corner and that they also have really good veggie taco option! I sometimes forget about them but I hope they stick around and stay busy through the pandemic!

Everyone in my family likes the steak burritos. And I like the cheese steak too. We pick up lunch every few weeks from the Cheros truck.

I've been enjoying their food for months! Bean & cheese pupusas are delicious. Pork tacos are also a fave. They also make a great steak & cheese if you are really hungry. So happy to have them nearby. Friendly people with great food are essential

I'm a taco snob from LA, and these are by far the best tacos I've had in the DMV. Delicious fresh tortillas, well seasoned marinated meat, and fresh cilantro and onion in top. They aren't spicy but come with a side of delicious hot sauce. I will be coming here at least once a week, I'm so happy this place is here!!

Delicious papusas (made to order, takes about 15 minutes) and tacos! Great addition to the neighborhood. And super affordable. They also sell an assortment of chips and sodas if you're looking for a quick snack.

Very tasty! What sets this truck apart, to me, is the sauces. The pupusa sauce is, for whatever reason, more orange and more comples than the standard red, and the green sauce for the tacos was full of flavor.

Pupusas are excellent and they made custom bean-only ones for my vegan friend. They also made me a custom veggie taco -- it was good but pretty simple. Mostly rice, beans, and a sprinkling of veg and sauce.
