Spend a 24-Hours Eating and Drinking in Fort Worth at These Bars and Restaurants | Eater Dallas

"A cozy, inclusive coffee shop on Magnolia Ave with house-roasted beans run by women roasters who source coffee from women-owned producers. Seating ranges from picnic tables outside to velvet couches, bright yellow chairs and a long shared table; dim, moody lighting makes it a quiet spot to linger. The shop carries an explicit message of welcome and community and is well suited for people-watching or settling in with a cup." - Courtney E. Smith

Google
I'm a true coffee snob and love high quality coffee. I won't give a good review if I don't love it. I ordered a Gesha pour over and it was incredible. The lady who made it did a wonderful job. The flavor profile began as a pomegranate, and morphed into peach toward the end. I do not like over roasted coffee like all Starbucks. I prefer light to medium roast. This was perfect. I also got an almond crescent. It was pretty good, pretty flaky and buttery. It was not the best I've had but pretty good and worth it. If you are looking for a great barista, so far with the Gesha and Guji, this place is an excellent pick. If you want a perfect baked good, this is a pretty good place and you won't be disappointed. On a scale the coffee is better than baked goods, but the coffee was truly superb, so it's hard to compare. I highly recommend this place.

Google
Service was top-notch. Aroma of shop was inviting. Barista was very knowledgeable of beans and flavors. Beans are roasted locally. I sampled Day Break drip, which was light and sweet. Coffee shop had plenty of seating, but they were busy, so no seating was available while I was there. I will definitely come back!! Highly recommend.

Google
first time visiting from out of town and i love it! it’s pretty quiet in the back area, which was perfect for studying (the main reason i came). i got the signature iced cappuccino and it was delicious. pretty standard prices for local coffee joints. also, they have free feminine hygiene products in the bathroom which drove me to make this review. all around super pleasant experience and i hope to be back!

Google
I absolutely love this coffee shop and its people. Most of them are so friendly and I get the absolute best almond milk cappuccino in all of fort worth made here. Their place is aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. Between my daughter and i think we spend hundreds of dollars a week here and my daughter does all her studying here. The food itself is ok, not super impressed but occasionally they have breakfast tacos and that really helps especially when youre here so long (2hrs) and you end up drinking two drinks and need some substance. But they usually dont have any. Every once in a while you have to deal with one snooty guy, but he’s normally not here when i go so not enough of a deterrent. :)

Google
The coffee was absolutely superb! Line picks up sometimes but gets cleared super quick, shoutout to the very nice and efficient Baristas! This place is an absolute recommendation in my opinion! If you ever get the chance, make a stop here and you won’t regret it!

Google
I love this place, if you’re looking for AFFORDABLE EATS and an amazing atmosphere, this is the place to be!! Pros- The atmosphere is great, good vibes, nice music in the background, the interior design is cozy and even the outdoor area looks great, the bathroom is stocked with tampons and pads, ample seating but it was quite packed when i went all through the day (11-5:30), i ordered the matcha latte with honey, it is amazing and tastes earthy, not like the chemically artificial taste other cafes have, i also ordered almond croissant and it was delicious, flaky and was even complimentary toasted for my convenience it was delicious, will order many times more. And the baristas are kind and extremely welcoming, Oatmilk option Cons- parking is tricky, but not directly the cafe’s fault, just something to consider if you have a car, The bathroom could have been a little cleaner, just minor discards on the floor, fruit fly issue, everywhere i went there was one to accompany me

Google
we always have the best time at cherry! our coffee is delicious, snacks, scrumptious, and the staff is so wonderful. i always get compliments when i come in, and thats one sure way to make a repeat out of me! plus the very cherry latte supports The Welman Project and i love supporting local organizations through women owned businesses. love you, cherry!

Google
One of my absolute favorite coffee shops in Fort Worth. Spacious and cozy, which is great for getting work done, reading, or socializing with friends. Coffee is very good and the staff is nice.

Yelp
I love Cherry Coffee Shop! It's everything from the atmosphere to the coffees to the people. I feel at home when I come here. The Very Cherry is one of my favorite go-to drinks here, as the cherry syrup is made in house. They even sell the syrup so you can make it at home. For their namesake beverage, it definitely lives up to its name! As for the other drinks, I always try something on the seasonal menu because they come up with some of the best combinations. I haven't had a single bad drink here. And their pastries are simple and delicious. Love the kolaches. The place can definitely get busy quick, so if you are in a hurry, it can go either way. There have been days where I saw the line and left because I wouldn't have enough time, but to me, that just means the place is good. I just come another day when that happens, no big deal.

Yelp
Community oriented and great service! The vibe is warm and welcoming, and you can tell a lot of love goes into everything they serve. If you go, you have to try the Cherry Iced Latte--it's smooth, perfectly balanced, and has just the right touch of sweetness without being overwhelming. It's easily one of the best iced lattes I've ever had and keeps me coming back. Definitely a must-order!
google avatar

Nedelka C.

Yelp
If you want to enjoy a delicious cappuccino at a nice place, I recommend this lovely and special coffee shop. Great atmosphere, super cozy if you want to study or read for a while. The coffee is absolutely delicious, and the service is excellent.

Yelp
THE BEST! Love me some Cherry Coffee. Fantastic staff, cool atmosphere and amazing cherry lattes. The pastries are great too. Nice seating inside and out, with areas to lounge if you want to work / stay awhile. We love to come on sunny mornings and sit outside with our pup.
google avatar

Yelp
I had a morning off one early fall day, so I treated myself to a visit at Cherry Coffee. I ordered a cafe au lait and a cheese kolache. The coffee was perfectly frothy and just strong enough. The kolache pastry had an unexpected sweetness that perfectly balanced the sausage and cheese, and the texture was crisp but not hard. My barista was exceptionally pleasant. It was cool, so I decided to sit outside. The tables were clean and chairs comfortable. No login guest wifi was the cherry (ahem) on top. I wish I could do this every day! Five stars.
google avatar

Tonya K.

Yelp
I truly love this space! A total FW gem. High quality flavors and a great selection. My friends liked their food options also. It was hopping with chill laid back folks in the morning. Nice staff and classic coffee house vibes. Loved it!

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place after a doctors appointment! They have a vendor for their pig in a blanket but it's so good, the bread is crispy, and it was a perfect size. The matcha drink was amazing! Will definitely come back!
google avatar

Paige S.

Yelp
This coffee shop was so cute! They have amazing drinks with plenty of interesting combinations, with both coffees and teas, so there's something for everyone. The inside was very well decorated, with plenty of seating on a Friday afternoon, but this is probably not a good spot for a large group just because it's so popular, many seats were taken but that wasn't a big deal. I ordered the very cherry latte with oat milk. I enjoyed my drink immensely but the cherry flavor was a bit muted, I would've liked it to be a little stronger but otherwise the coffee itself was very good. Also, I liked that the coffee shop served drinks in reusable glass cups rather than to go cups since we ordered our coffees for consumption on site.

Yelp
The few times I've ordered from Cherry, I've been pleasantly surprised. Cherry's signature lattes are pretty good, the service here is amazing, and the Vibes at Cherry is EVERYTHING.

Yelp
Cherry is such a cute and cozy coffee shop -- and they actually have more seating than it seems, around the corner in the back there are plenty of tables and chairs. Up front they have a few barstools facing the big front window-- it's the brightest best people-watching spot, but fills up fast! You'll find a small but mighty assortment of pastries for sale, including gluten free options from Pinch of Salt (in grapevine, love them). Otherwise it's all about the coffee -- buy freshly ground or whole beans to take home, and make sure you get a drink onsite as well. I had their seasonal special recently (which I think may be gone now that spring has officially sprung) -- an iced "ember glow" latte that's made with ginger, molasses, and nutmeg. I'm very into those warm, spicy, Christmassy flavors all year long. It was so, so good!! Affordable quality coffee on busy Magnolia Avenue. I'm a big fan of Cherry Coffee Shop. Plus it's women-owned!

Yelp
Visited this location last week. I was welcomed by staff and my order was taken timely. The drink was made quickly. I ordered a vanilla cortado over ice. The drink was delicious and well-presented. The espresso-milk-flavor balance was perfect and the espresso was of moderate intensity. The vibes were relaxed. It was very crowded all day. Great place for studying/working, although the noice level was a little elevated. I would definitely return.

Yelp
I recently moved to Fort Worth and have been looking for a new go-to coffee shop. I think Cherry Coffee Shop might be the winner! The shop itself is seriously cozy with lush interiors and a great playlist going. The baristas were all really welcoming, which I appreciated. I ordered a Fiona's Apple and it was exactly the perfect fall treat I was looking for. I also got a cinnamon cruffin which was pretty good too. The little inspirational message on my cup was so sweet - the perfect touch! There is a parking lot around back with plenty of spots. I ended up hanging out for about 30 minutes reading while enjoying my drink. It was pretty crowded, but thankfully, I got there early so there was still seating available. Love Cherry Coffee! I'll be back soon.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! The vibes are through the roof! Beautiful set up. Tons of young people here gathered doing work and socializing with friends. There is free neighborhood street parking behind the coffee shop. Wasn't hard at all to find a spot during 10am. Love this place!
google avatar

Autumn M.

Yelp
it's the quintessential neighborhood coffee shop. I love the quiet side so much. The chai is amazing and spicy. highly recommend!

Yelp
We've been weekly regulars for a while, but twice now I have been denied the ability to simply add cold foam to a cold drink from their menu. My wife likes her cold foam... Both times, I was told, flat out, no. I mentioned that fully understood I would be charged more. Again, a stern "no"! Very strange way to treat customers. We will no longer be stopping on our walks down Magnolia.
google avatar

Yelp
Cherry is one of the coziest coffee shops I've been to in FW. It feels like you're in a vintage home with warm tone colors. I enjoy coming here to catch up with friends or to study. It can get a little loud, so bring some head/ear phones if you plan to study. Heads up, it can get pretty packed really quickly here. I got an iced chai. It came in the cutest glass and was delicious. The servers were so kind! As for parking, they have a small lot right behind the coffee shop. There's also street parking.
google avatar

Khadija W.

Yelp
I really liked this little cafe. I ordered an iced rosemary matcha latte which, at first, sounded like a strange pairing, but it actually works really well. It had the perfect sweet and savoriness. All of the pastries looked delicious and fresh, but I ended up choosing the cinnamon knot. It tasted great, very soft and buttery and paired perfectly with my matcha.

Mr B.

Yelp
This was a very sweet experience. It's next to TCU so definitely offers a college vibe I got myself the London fog which was a very pretty and delicious drink. It's also a good place to study albeit it is difficult to find space given how busy it is. Overall I highly recommend if you need a boost or sit down.
google avatar

Renae C.

Yelp
The coffee is so good here, the staff are friendly and welcoming, it's a great spot for studying, a quick meeting, or just to chill and visit! Great indoor and outdoor spaces, and they also serve some pretty tasty pastries! Love this local coffee spot, highly recommended.
google avatar

Blessing B.

Yelp
The interior is warm and inviting and the staff are friendly and quick with orders. I loved that they had golden girls themed drinks. There seemed to be plenty of seating in the shop and the place was packed. I ordered the chai tea (hot) and the white chocolate raspberry loaf which was drier than expected but flavorful. The chai tea was yummy and paired well with the loaf. The prices are on par with local coffeeshops. The parking appears to be limited, so parking was tricky. Cherry coffeeshop is a nice addition to the magnolia area.

Yelp
Favorite coffee in DFW! My cortado was awesome and the baristas were kind and fast! Words

Yelp
coffee wasnt bad! it was nice sitting with the window view inside. interaction with the cashier felt like forced friendliness, this was made clear when i sat inside and heard her talking to each person after me. just be genuinely nice, not fake nice. and stop asking personal medical questions...
google avatar

Yelp
Came back to town to show my sister TCU - and we HAD to stop by! Things have changed in the area since our last visit, but the coffee (in general) is still great! The matcha drink my sister got was good, but the specialty coffee drink I got was not worth it (peanut butter based). Still a fun try.
google avatar

Sherelle L.

Yelp
I loved the different seating options. Had the opportunity to sit and enjoy the atmosphere while working. Also their music selection was top tier. My latte was pretty good and such a creative flavor! Peanut Butter Latte like whattttt! Also liked that they had a water station available as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Very chill vibe here for my Sunday late morning coffee. My "Very Cherry" signature iced latte was outstanding and unique. It had a nice flavor and a faint sweetness to it that sealed the deal. Very unique to be served a drink in an actual glass instead of paper/plastic. Plenty of comfy seating around the back. Liked this place. My new favorite coffee shop in town.

Yelp
We visited Cherry Coffee on a Sunday afternoon and there were a lot of people enjoying the atmosphere. It has been open since 2021 and is right on Magnolia, so it is perfect to stop in while you do some shopping. This place has great coffee house vibes as soon as you walk in. We ordered a 12 oz latte with signature cherry syrup and whole milk, an 8oz Old Man Winter with oat milk and a piece of gluten free coffee cake. The total was $16.52 before tip. Atmosphere 5 - cool urban coffee shop vibes. Great historic building renovation. A variety of seating options, low key music and a second room away from the register. There is a reading nook and plenty of couches, and you get the feeling they want you to stay awhile. Service 5 - The people are great! It was steady business the whole time we were here and they smiled and laughed and I saw a few hugs! They answered all of my questions and couldn't be friendlier. Cleanliness 4 - It feels very clean, but no one wiped down tables while we were there and we had to wipe crumbs off ourselves. Parking 4 - There is designated parking in the back, but if it's full you will have to search for parking if you don't want to pay. Taste 5 - The coffee was great. It could be hotter, so you may want to order extra hot. Mine got cold fast. Pastries 4 - There is a limited selection, but pastries are delivered by local bakery and added points for several gluten free options. My wife loved the coffee cake. Variety 3 - Average variety. Drinks are only available in 8 or 12 oz and flavors are limited. Several options for milk alternatives there were some fun seasonal drinks. Latte art/presentation 5 - perfect! We loved the in house mugs and the latte art was on point. Branding is mysteriously missing inside the shop. There is an opportunity to show off their brand more. Cost $16.52

Yelp
Saw many compliments towards this coffee shop and had to come try it out! First off, it's bigger than it looks.. there's a whole other room with tons of seating! That being said, it is a chosen place for meetups and a cozy place to work when you're tired of being home, it seems, since every seat was full! We managed to snag a seat when someone left. The vibe was comfortably buzzy and the views were serene. But most importantly, the coffee was perfection. I got one of the seasonal drinks that involved banana cold foam... it was heavenly. Fun environment, great coffee... overall great location to check out!

jennifer E.

Yelp
This was a great little coffee spot with a great ambience inside. Everybody in there was doing homework at comfortable tables and other seating areas. I am a diehard Starbucks drinker but also enjoy going to small independent coffee shops to try what we have. While here we tried the iced ray of light, which is a latte with simple orange syrup. It was actually very good. We also tried the American hero, which is more of a traditional vanilla iced latte. Service was great barista were super friendly, but if I'm honest, I didn't have my coffee craving satisfied.

Esther P.

Yelp
Visited this place during my trip and their The Very Cherry latte was my fave!! Kind service, awesome interior, and overall vibes were immaculate! I was traveling and wanted to go back the next day for their cherry latte and was super bummed I couldn't due to scheduling.. That's how good it was!
google avatar

Ricardo G.

Yelp
A great coffee shop that knows how to make great drinks. The ambiance is great and welcoming. I had the house cold brew and my friends had a vanilla late and a signature drink, all were amazing! The place was packed but the service moved everyone along quickly and with kindness. There isn't a whole lot of seating but it's a perfect location for a coffee shop that I could why so many people would like to study or get work done while enjoying great coffee. 10/10!
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
What a great spot! Friendly and welcoming staff. Cute set up with a great vibe. And DELICIOUS coffee and baked goods! Will most definitely stop here again!

Yelp
Cherry Coffee House è un vero gioiello nascosto nel cuore della città. Recentemente ho avuto il piacere di visitare questo incantevole bar e sono rimasto estremamente soddisfatto dell'esperienza che ho avuto. I had an Italian espresso experience when I went to Cherry Coffee Shop. The cup of espresso came with a shot glass of Topo Chico, as is typical in Italy. Great job, Cherry Coffee! I'll be back.
google avatar

Yelp
5 for ambiance, 3 for food, 3 for service. Ambiance: place is adorable. Lots of seating options. Ample natural light. And my favorite thing to see in a coffee shop - plants. Food: I always ask what is recommended at shops and usually that goes well for me - sometimes it doesn't. The poptart looked super cute just so so much sugar. I have a huge sweet tooth, but unfortunately this snack gave me a major headache and didn't have much flavor other than being overly sweet. Service: checking out was fine, but I overheard a barista complaining about my order. Not a huge deal, I wasn't offended, but I'm 2 feet from the counter - like at least whisper if a customer's iced espresso annoys you. Overall - I plan to try again and reevaluate. Like I mentioned, I loved the ambiance. I think I probably just ordered the wrong item for me. And I loved my annoying coffee order!
google avatar

Julie H.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time yesterday! Luckily I found some street parking, otherwise it costs money to park in nearby lots. I went on a Saturday evening and it was surprisingly pretty crowded. I ordered the Clockwork Orange, one of their seasonal drinks, as well as an almond croissant. I was a little bit disappointed as I had ordered my coffee "for here" and they put it in a to-go cup. The to-go cup is cute though! And unfortunately, their oven wasn't working, so they couldn't warm up my croissant. So it was a little hard to eat, but the almond flavor was delicious. And I thought my coffee drink was pretty good! You can appreciate the coffee taste (not like other places where that make coffees really sweet and syrup-y).

Yelp
In all honesty, lotta people on tables with laptops. It was very full in there. Yeah, service is an ok. I mean i don't expect them to chat with me. It was pretty straightforward, which i did appreciate. The drink i got was very mediocre for the price. And i thought about getting a pastry with it but all of them looked pretty dry and old. Don't get why this place gets hyped lot.
google avatar

David F.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place but I can't ever get a seat for my husband and I. There are always people taking all the seats with their laptops. These same people will sit a large table by themselves with a laptop and a cup of coffee water. I would love to come back

Yelp
Was in the neighborhood and wanted to relax and enjoy the sunset. The neighborhood was nice and my companion and I were walking toward magnolia. It wasn't until I saw a hanging sign that said "Cherry Coffee". The title alone made me curious. I went inside and the ambience was super cozy and relaxing. Their menu didn't have a large variety but it gives plenty to work with. They also have seasonal beverages for example the bidi bidi bon bon. I love a good chai latte, mine did not disappoints. The blend is strong cinnamon and nostalgic feeling for me. Sadly this location is in Fort Worth, it it was close by i would totally come and make it my small headquarters. Oh well. Another reason to come. Hehe P.S. We didn't see until we left is that theirs more space, in the back!!!
google avatar

Jenny N.

Yelp
I have not gotten food. Autumn Something was a drink special latte with pumpkin spice, was absolutely amazing. friendly staff, always a line and always pretty full of people working or friends catching up! Cute seating and tables in the back. Small shop!

K C.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop to get your work done. I immediately found a table and sat down so I kept watching the line, but the line continued to stay out the door, which great for them, kind of sucked for me. The hot cherry latte was delicious and I would definitely get it again. I feel like it was a nice size of coffee for the price
google avatar

Tony D.

Yelp
Has potential, i actually like the atmosphere inside, plenty of different seats, very friendly and helpful baristas. They got some good beans for sale as well. Ill start with the problem, is i think they have two sizes in the end, but my oat milk iced vanilla latte ended up being ~$7 so it may have been a large so I did not know why my drink cost that much until I went home and looked at the menu. Drink was not mixed too good so I took a straw and mixed it, its on the less sweet side of things but the beans they used are great, I liked the drink in the end and the atmosphere. Will be back to work on some writing!
google avatar

Alanna V.

Yelp
I stopped by here for a coffee/tea break. It was incredible to see how expansive the area is once you walk around to the back. Great vibes. The workers are nice though the drinks took a little time to make (probably because this place is so popular!). It was worth the wait though because their chai latte was tasty.

Yelp
FOOD INSTAGRAM: @northtx.gemz **** WHAT THEY'RE KNOWN FOR: popular coffee shop located on Magnolia Ave in Fort Worth which is also lined with plenty of other coffee shops too! THE VIBE: woodsy, rustic, library, cozy vibes. If you were to think about a cozy coffee shop, this is exactly that aesthetic. PRICE: ~$7 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! **** Overall Rating: 9/10 - One of the best matchas I've had from a coffee shop. I find that local coffee shops sometimes just add matcha to their menu to keep up with the trends/demand but serve sh*tty matcha. This one is actually good! - The perfect amount of sweetness and the horchata milk elevated the drink by a lot too. The only complaint I have is I feel like the portion is pretty small for $7. - Cozy vibes, it was quiet enough to study, however, they're pretty popular because there was no seating left and I only got seating bc my friend saved me a seat. - Baristas are really nice and welcoming too!
google avatar

Jennifer P.

Yelp
BEST pour over coffee in Fort Worth!!!!! Plenty of seating inside and out. Decor is rustic-modern with the most GLORIOUS artwork. Service is five-star: outstanding baristas and greeter/register staff who can make tasty recommendations if you're undecided. We love Cherry Coffee Shop!
google avatar

Olivia M.

Yelp
A small local coffee shop off of Magnolia. The inside is very pleasing to the eye. Dark wooden furniture, decorated with books and green plants, it provides the energy of what a coffee shop should be; individuals silently working, or casual friendly conversations between friends, and some even with the baristas. The baristas were very knowledgeable of the options, coffee bean assortment, and gave great recommendations. If you need a break from fast, overly sweetened coffee, I would give this place a try. Definitely a great coffee shop to stay and chat Edit: Just a quick note they do not accept cash!
google avatar

Shelby H.

Yelp
I am here just about everyday since I live a block away and never once have I been spoken to with a genuine tone. They're almost annoyed to see me and I tip every single time. I ask for my coffee extra hot and only about 1 out of 5 times it is. Usually it's hardly lukewarm. I kept giving chances thinking it would one day change, and it hasn't. The coffee flavor itself is one of the best in Fort Worth I will say that. I believe today was my last time coming
google avatar

Jamie W.

Yelp
Ton of college kids early on a Saturday. Super friendly staff. Really cute shop. Free parking which is hard to come by in the area
google avatar

Justin S.

Yelp
I needed a quick cold coffee in the AM, and this place was my ideal choice. The service was nice and quick - no complaints. There are a small amount of tables within the shop to study, and this place is still not as well known to the general public. If you're looking for a hidden coffee shop to study for finals and tests, this is a good place. I ordered a cold brew, and it was the perfect wake-me-up drink. I would have liked if they offered more drink options like mocha!

Yelp
Great new coffee shop on West Magnolia offers robust, smooth coffee and Espresso, cozy atmosphere, and friendly service. My first visit to Cherry Coffee was on day 7 after opening, in the space formerly occupied by Craftwork. We came at opening and were greeted with masked, pandemic smiles. The menu is standard, not any surprises really. Swag is available, a few snacks, and a large seating area with plenty of socially distanced tables. Some outdoor tables with built in chess boards lined the Magnolia side as well. I ordered a Black Eye (drip coffee with two espresso shots), my keto drink, sweetened with Stevia. The coffee had an earthy, chocolatey flavor. My drink is pretty strong, and I did not find the coffee too bitter or acidic. We sat near the window on a small sofa. Cushy chairs are available, but had nowhere to set a coffee cup down. A small end table between them would have been helpful. The seating area was a coworking space when Craftwork was here. Opening it up creates a larger room than what I remember. The atmosphere was nice, though it seemed a little underdeveloped. This is a small nit, though. Had a very positive experience and looking forward to future visits to Cherry coffee!

Yelp
Amazing! Friendly staff, fast wifi, clean restrooms! The environment is very chill and spacious but warm. Plenty of personal space but not "cold" like some establishments.
