My husband and I stopped by on a Sat afternoon. I know this had opened recently and it's close to our house, so I was excited to try it.
Since they're new, I'll be giving them the benefit of the doubt re this first experience.
The three stars are for everything but the service and menu.
This place is very cool. I love the set up, layout, ambiance, etc. They have a great selection of beers and wines, HOWEVER, it depends on which menu you're looking at...
Here's the start of my problems. When we sat down, we didn't see any staff other than behind the bars. There were menus everywhere however, which left us wondering if we wait for service or go to the bar. This was after realizing that there were two drink menus. They were similar, so we didn't know if one was old and one was new? Apparently, one is for the bar inside and one is for the bar outside? Mind you they are mere feet apart, but hey.
My husband ordered the food and drinks and declared that their motto should be, "There's no service, like no service!" Bew.
The food. I really can't think of the last time, or anytime for that matter, I've seen a more haphazard, smattering of food offerings on a menu. The online menu shows a picture of sliders, which are not on the online menu and I don't recall them on the actual menu either. Online also lists a bunch of sausage, which i don't recall IRL either. We had just finished brunch so I got their "churro". "Churro" here means a flat bread with cinnamon and caramel. Ok. It was good, just completely not what we expected.
I have high hopes that perhaps whoever did the design and whoever is in charge of staff and menu can have a meeting of the minds to make things more cohesive.
