The Best Restaurants In Sheepshead Bay

"Located in the building that once housed the popular Lundy’s Restaurant, which dominated the neighborhood from 1926-1979, Cherry Hill Gourmet might just become your new favorite grocery store. The Spanish Colonial-style building is a designated landmark, and it’s worth coming here for the decor alone, which includes original casement windows and cherry blossom detailing on the ceiling. The selection here skews Eastern European, though they carry specialty ingredients from all over the world. The deli counter is home to an impressive array of sliceable jellied meats, as well as heart and star-shaped salame. If you like rare oils and vinegars, they have dozens. Stop by the pastry case and try to pick just one thing to take home. If you can’t decide, the Kiev case is not to be missed, a layered meringue and cream cake that’s a perfect marriage of crispy, crunchy, and creamy textures. There’s also a dedicated parking lot, so if you have a car, you can really stock up." - carina finn koeppicus

Good morning. Yesterday purchased some products from famous store . Same as other groceries without quality control. Do not buy any meat here as dangerous for your health. They replacing dates as usual. Bought salami with mold inside . Owner should proud of his store for sure .

Beautiful supermarket arranged flawlessly. Huge inventory of beautiful produce, breads and meats. Subdued lighting, creative ceiling and layout. Cramped parking lot but a spot is almost always available; attendants help. Plenty of polite cashiers. One star deducted only because prices are very high. But quite a shopping experience nonetheless.

This is a clean pleasant store, but there are positions at prices that are a little higher than in other grocery stores. Confectionery products look very appetizing!

Watch out not to be CHARGED DOUBLE when they scan your items. DISGUSTING!!!!! I got a 3 pack of salmon for $7.99 which the cashier rang up for $14.99 . When I caught that on the screen, a woman next to the cashier (who introduced herself as Lilly) told me Cherry Hill mislabeled it and that the correct price is double of what was labeled. (FYI the small can is around $2-3 everywhere else). I explained to her that it is simply not possible and that they should properly label their items and properly scan them. Lilly seemed unsurprised and not even remotely apologetic - clearly indicating that such practices of double charging are intentional. What a SCAM!!!!! Do yourself a favor and drive to Whole Foods or Wegmans where quality meets trust and respect for customers!!!! PS. I typically don’t write reviews but it appears that all these local guides posting 5 stars reviews with tons of pics and praises, appearing totally fake to me, whereelse all other real people who complain and provide a real feedback get ignored by their management (check out 1 star feedbacks).

I absolutely love this place! They have such a large and unique selection of items, things I wouldn’t normally find in a regular grocery store. Their bakery section is my favorite because there’s always so many things to choose from, I try something new each time I go. And if you’ve ever had a Mille crepe cake from Lady M, they sell slices here! Now I won’t have to go all the way to Manhattan if I’m craving some Lady M 💕

This place is like a historical art gallery, for grocery shopping. It's as much a feast for the eyes and nose, as for the belly! This is a must stop-in, even if you just browse. The cakes are our go to, for celebrations! 🎂 I have never had one I didn't like. Some are light, fluffy and elegant, and some are fruity, colorful and whimsical! The organic and sustainably made food options are excellent as well and the deli and cheese counters are abundant and inviting! This place is a must see!

Always the best products mainly Russian and some Polish. Cake selection is just unreal. Delicious and not too sweet.
