"This wine bar is known for its rooftop, adorned with white metal garden furniture, with plenty of space for big birthday parties. Happy hour here is until 7 p.m. daily, and a roving pop-up program allows for new bites upon each visit." - Eater Staff, Melissa Kravitz Hoeffner
"Run by Cerise Zelenetz, a restaurant illustrator, Cherry on Top, which opened last summer, is not one of those cavernous, dark wine bars — instead known for its sprawling rooftop bar. Downstairs the — yes, cherry red — room is more intimate, well-suited for dates. But the upstairs has a decidedly Bushwick feel, perfect for birthday parties or other group occasions, no matter if you’re sipping by glass or bottle." - Eater Staff
"When in doubt, choose a wine bar. At Cherry on Top in Bushwick, you can sit in a little room with ambient red lighting and drink a pinot blanc blend out of the sort of stubby glassware that’s now a requisite at all places that serve low-intervention wine. There are often events like film screenings and themed nights with DJs, and there’s a spacious rooftop for warm weather outings." - bryan kim
"A good deal of natural wine drinking happens on Bushwick rooftops, usually involving some combination of climbing a fire escape and a janky bluetooth speaker. At Cherry On Top, things are a little more professional, although hanging out here does feel a bit like being at a friend’s place. The list of wines includes plenty of glasses under $15 and bottles under $50, and there’s also a small food menu. You can drink your orange wine on a large rooftop or in a tiny indoor area that we’d describe as extremely cute." - will hartman, bryan kim, kenny yang, carina finn koeppicus
"A good deal of natural wine-drinking happens on Bushwick rooftops, with Bluetooth speakers doing most of the heavy lifting as far as ambience is concerned. Things feel a little more magical at Cherry on Top, a wine bar near the Jefferson L with a large, open-air roof and weekly musical guests. The rooftop is open year-round with shade and heat lamps, but you can also hang out downstairs. In keeping with the theme, everything in the room, including the lighting, is either cherry red or white. It makes us feel like we’re in a Vogue spread from the ’80s, and we appreciate that—as well as their reasonable prices. The funky wine list has plenty of glasses under $15, and bottles under $50.
