"At Cherry on Top in Bushwick, all the wines are chilled, including the reds. The little indoor bar area is perfect for a first date or quick catch-up with a friend, but the second-story rooftop is the real reason to come here. The white patio furniture and lattice fencing make it feel more like a friend is inviting you over for drinks on their roof. "A good deal of natural wine drinking happens on Bushwick rooftops, usually involving some combination of climbing a fire escape and a janky bluetooth speaker. At Cherry On Top, things are a little more professional, although hanging out here does feel a bit like being at a friend’s place. The list of wines includes plenty of glasses under $15 and bottles under $50, and there’s also a small food menu. "A good deal of natural wine-drinking happens on Bushwick rooftops, with Bluetooth speakers doing most of the heavy lifting as far as ambience is concerned. Things feel a little more magical at Cherry on Top, a wine bar near the Jefferson L with a large, open-air roof and weekly musical guests. The rooftop is open year-round with shade and heat lamps, but you can also hang out downstairs. In keeping with the theme, everything in the room, including the lighting, is either cherry red or white. It makes us feel like we’re in a Vogue spread from the ’80s, and we appreciate that—as well as their reasonable prices.
