"Pioneer Square’s Occidental Park spinoff of the Cherry Street Coffee chain maintains a coffeehouse vibe but adds a short menu with a Persian theme, reflecting the heritage of owner Ali Ghambari. The specialty is khoresh, a stew that allows diners to mix and match meats, vegetables, and seasonings. Available for takeout." - Eater Staff

SerpAPI
Average environment place that you can easily find a public parking place for $4 (0-4 hrs). Kinda busy for work day, I guess it’s one of the popular place to get coffee. They have daily special tea to order, but you have to ask … poor worker have to answer it every single time. Well, for the coffee is perfectly good, the ice or hot latte definitely use some good coffee beans. But the ice tea just kinda average stuff so if you are coffee lover, you can try this place, could be one of the good options for you:)

After a long flight and already exhausted from a couple hours of walking around the shops in Belltown, I decided to grab a quick coffee from Cherry Street. This place is presumptively one of the few “real” Seattle coffee shops in downtown. I ordered an Americano and it was pretty good, although a little acidic for my taste. I really like the late 90s vibes of this place though. They have a big selection of baked goods (that we were too full to try) and they even appear to have a little sake bar upstairs. There was also ample artwork on the walls that really set the mood. If you are looking for something that’s not Starbucks to Pike Place Coffee but right near the hustle and bustle of downtown, stop in here. It’s not cheap but it is fancy and authentic. It’s easy to find with the bright neon sign outside.

First time in Seattle for work. Super chill place to have some coffee and maybe work a little. I liked how the side seating towards the window had outlets below the tables, that was really neat. I can't remember the name of the person that helped me but she had piercings and tattoos, she was SUPER nice! Asked me where I was from and what I was doing in Seattle! She was awesome. I had forgotten to get a receipt then rush hour came and then I got up and asked that I forgot it and they quickly pulled it up for me. Overall, super nice spot with very friendly staff, and great coffee and food! Highly recommended it. Great impression for a first timer in Seattle!

Pleasant stop for coffee in the morning! Really good cherry smoothie and their cold brew is smooth. Their breakfast sandwiches and bakery items are good too

Had breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Coffee (Americano) was good and bacon egg and cheese was good on bagel. Quick service and good food. Seating inside was basic and upkeep was just OK, but that's all right.

The environment was wonder and the coffee is delicious. They also have wonderful breakfast options. I had some egg bites which were surprisingly filling for what I expected. A rose oat milk latte is to die for.

Stopped by for a coffee with a freind before touring downtown Seattle. Got a cold brew and it tasted great and gave me the energy I needed. This place also has food/breakfast sandwiches. Service was prompt and coffee was great!

Needed a pick me up early afternoon. Service was great, atmosphere was inviting, and the coffee was very nice. Also the citrus bread was scrumptious. A must try if you like lemon.

Yelp
A Hidden Gem in Seattle I stumbled upon Cherry Street Coffee House during a recent visit to Seattle, and I'm so glad I did. This cozy little spot is a must-visit for coffee lovers and anyone seeking a relaxing atmosphere. The coffee is exceptional. I tried their latte, and it was perfectly balanced, with a rich, creamy texture and a delightful aroma. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, happy to recommend their favorite drinks or food items. Speaking of food, their menu offers a delicious selection of breakfast and lunch options, including fresh bagels, sandwiches, and pastries. I had a smoked salmon bagel that was absolutely divine, with the perfect amount of cream cheese and a generous portion of smoked salmon. The ambiance of Cherry Street Coffee House is warm and inviting. The interior is tastefully decorated, with comfortable seating and plenty of natural light. It's the ideal place to relax, work, or meet up with friends. If you're looking for a truly exceptional coffee experience in Seattle, I highly recommend visiting Cherry Street Coffee House. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
This place had amazing reviews online. As a tourist we wanted to stop by as it was near the hotel, but when we first walked in I mentioned the reviews online and how excited I was to try the place - the barista said we don't have any online orders and then continued her work. I said I'm not here for an online order, I was talking about the online review. We ordered our typical cappuccino (one shot for health reasons) for my mom and a honey late for myself. My coffee looked great when I got it but at first sip it was extremely bitter . At first sip, my mom said her cappuccino was extremely sweet and strong (likely 2 shots) I went To the bar and asked about our drinks and whether the cappuccino was 2 shots and about my latte. The other barista looked at me like I was crazy and said it's always 2 shots . My mom and I switched cups so I can have the sweeter drink and the barista remade a 1 shot cappuccino for her. We couldn't wait to finish and leave

Yelp
This beautiful shoppe at the foot of Cherry Street makes great use of its traditional architecture and location in historic Pioneer Square. Most of their orders are carry out, so they keep the floor in front clear for the steady flow of customers in the order and pickup queues. I got lucky and a table turned just as i stepped close, and the ambiance served my small meeting. I had my bagel toasted with cream cheese, a splendid choice, but the coffee from Counter Culture needed more roasting to burn down the acid in this batch, an easily corrected issue if they hear about it.

Abhinav S.

Yelp
Good: pretty delicious bagel Bad: service is stupid slowwwww. This was in the wee morning where there were very few people and a simple bagel still took over 30min. Hate to see how their wait time is during rush times. Like 1.5 hours for a bagel during rush? The people who make them are super slow and chatty with no concept of efficiency. Price is ridiculously high. I understand that the location is near the ferries but for a small bagel with not so great amount of cream cheese, it comes to a crazy $14. Blazing bagels is way more loaded and still lower cost. The bagel felt cold and barely toasted.

Dusk D.

Yelp
Excellent coffee, friendly people, and overall great vibes at this place. A great spot to relax and read or grab a quick cup before sightseeing.

Rex K.

Yelp
Fantastic bagels, worth every penny. Dreadful coffee that's bitter and barely drinkable. I'd give 5 stars for the food, 1 star for the coffee.

Celine K.

Yelp
the iced vanilla latte tasted pretty watered down, so i asked for additional vanilla syrup and added cinnamon powder for more flavor. my friend enjoyed her cold brew. our barista didn't give the best service both in the beginning with ignoring us and then when asked for the additional vanilla, she never got back to us so i had to ask another barista.

Yelp
I was in Seattle for a few days and had an opportunity to visit some of their coffee shops. We came here since we were going on a tour and had a 30 minutes to spare. It was the perfect time for a cup of coffee and a piece of coffee cake. This is a medium size shop, cozy interior with plenty of seating. The team here were busy and very attentive to the customers in the shop. I ordered a regular 'Americano' coffee. That's slang for a plain cup of joe... I must admit that it was very good coffee, full body with a wonderful taste. It paired beautifully with my simple piece of coffee cake. For those who desire a fancier cup, they are already to put that together for you. I heard some people ordering some pretty sophisticated coffee while we were there. You definitely want to stop by for a cup of your choice. I am confident you'll be happy with it. KUDOs to the team at Cherry Street Coffee House.

Jenny E.

Yelp
The coffee was delicious! I really enjoyed the milkyway -- it didn't taste too caramel-y but was still sweet. The wait for the coffee did take awhile, but not too long. The food seemed to come out fast as well. Plenty of seating and free WiFi.

Marcus S.

Yelp
Stopped by here for a morning warm up on a chilly morning before heading to one the neighboring islands for the day. The line moved quickly, and the order taker was thorough about I got my drink - for this visit a Hot mocha. Not the best Mocha I've had, more of a hot chocolate than a Mocha as the chocolatey-ness should give way to the coffee-ness if that makes sense. Another sort of oddity is there is no overhead menu. So, for a couple minutes of standing in line and laminated menu was passed to me. That's fine but if you want to look at specials or anything unique to Cherry Street, and you happen to not have a menu kindly end up in your hands, you wouldn't even know it. The ambience is nice, with a fair amount of seating, add-ons for your beverages as well as outdoor seating, but being one of the Coffee capitals, Cherry's impressions to me are average.

Janet L.

Yelp
Cute, lively place and service was nice. We ordered their seasonal specials - some iced blackberry cider and a dark coconut cold brew. The iced tea was good but the cold brew was disappointing. I could barely taste any other flavor except the watered down and slightly acidic cold brew. Maybe their standard coffee drinks taste better.

Shay K.

Yelp
A very nice place, I had a delicious coffee and the baristas are so nice. It's kind of a big and spacious place. Thru had delicious pastries too. It's a cute historic building. I visited twice and I'll go a couple more times while I'm working in this area.

Yelp
Get ready, because these next several reviews that I will be leaving will be from my trip to Seattle. I was surprised to learn that there are SO MANY coffee shops within walking distance from my hotel! One of them ended up being Cherry Street Coffee House, which is literally right around the corner. My dad and I stopped in after dropping off our luggage at the hotel. I was also in need of some lunch, so this place was perfect for grabbing a late lunch and a coffee! We entered about an hour before closing time, so they weren't too busy. I ordered a white mocha and a traditional turkey sandwich and my dad ordered a coconut caramel cold brew and a BLT sandwich. My dad said that the coconut caramel cold brew was the best he's ever had on this trip, though this was on our first day there. My white mocha had a ton of flavor to it and the sandwiches we both had filled us up so quickly. I thought that I wouldn't have room for dinner later on that day. We did walk a whole lot after our visit here and I ended up with plenty of room to spare for dinner later that night. The interior is adorable, with a ton of quotes and paintings hanging on each wall. They also have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. You literally cannot miss this place!

Craig W.

Yelp
This is a very nice coffee house. There is plenty of seating and the interior is spacious but still cozy. Employees were all very friendly. They have all of your usual fancy coffee drinks but they've got good food, too. I particularly liked their bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. They get busy so depending on when you go, there may or may not be a decent-sized line. They move the line pretty quickly though and the drinks also come out quickly. They have several locations but the one is in the Pioneer Square area.

Ceivy M.

Yelp
I really liked this coffee shop! The service was friendly and my hot cider was perfect for the foggy weather.

Paul C.

Yelp
When in Seattle gotta always try the coffee shops. And you gotta try more than just Starbucks. Even though I still love my Starbucks lol! Stopped in the Cherry Street Coffee House while waiting for our underground tour. I'm glad we did. Ordered the white chocolate mocha and it was delicious. Along with that had the egg white bite. I'm not a big morning eater so it was perfect for me. As always, people and service was friendly. And the Ambiance really felt "Seattle" which is something I truly enjoyed since that's the experience my wife and I were totally going for. If you're ever in Seattle and taking the underground tour or even just in the area stop in. Nice little coffee spot. You won't be disappointed.

Grace A.

Yelp
This was a cute lil coffee shop that shares a lobby with the hotel near by. Easy to get to and the service was pretty good. The lady at the register was kind, attentive and answered any questions we had in regards to the taste and about what they offered. We got the sour cream walnut coffee cake, very delicious and a latte with almond syrup and the London fog with a ham and cheese bagel. Everything tasted pretty good from what we had.

John C.

Yelp
Cherry Street Coffee House is the perfect example of a Seattle coffee shop. This place not only has great coffee, but very good breakfast options, including bagel sandwiches with egg, cheese, and a number of other selections. It was so good, I forgot to take a photo of the food. Highly recommended for a cup of coffee or complete breakfast. We also noticed that the service is friendly and fast.

Jack L.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by the coffee here! I don't have high expectations when going to a specialty coffee shop but they had a seasonal blueberry oatcake latte which intrigued me and it was delicious! I love blueberry and it came with oatmilk which is my preferred milk so it was perfect. Great sweetness level, still tasted the lovely coffee taste, with a hint of blueberries.

Annabelle F.

Yelp
Easy spot to get to in Seattle before hopping on our cruise! Not a life changing coffee or food but still pretty decent

Zack H.

Yelp
I've been here 3 times so far. The coffee is pretty good (I liked the white mocha) and their food is not super expensive but pretty good. My complaint is that they haven't said my order was ready both times I got food, so I'd sit and wait only for my food to get cold. Today they gave me the wrong food order (falafel instead of chicken) and it was delicious but definitely not what I ordered.

Emma B.

Yelp
Nice coffee shop. Ordered coffee and bagels, bagels came out before the coffee, definitely needed more bacon for the price, you could hardly detect it in the sandwich, it was still an enjoyable sandwich though. Coffee was good, preferred my husband's latte over the caramelo one I got - too much foam though for my liking.

Cynthia Z.

Yelp
VERY GOOD! the ambiance of the shop is absolutely immaculate, so green and with nice windows to sit at. for a strawberry matcha which was very strong, as well as a breakfast bagel sandwich that got me back into loving bagels!

Nancy S.

Yelp
I suppose this may be the original since it's on Cherry St, but this is a chain shop. Interior is clean and bathroom requires a passcode. Staff was quite nice. Unfortunately that is the end of what I enjoyed about my experience here. Iced americano - I always get this first to test the waters in any coffee shop - if the americano doesn't taste right, I don't revisit. I found the taste to be unpleasant and it didn't taste like the beans were ground fresh. Tomato, basil egg + cheese w pita - next to no seasoning on this. Pita is store bought and heated. Tomatoes were sliced a bit thick and overpowered the wrap. Dirty chai latte - no chai taste, my friend described it as tasting like "water", which was disappointing. Unfortunately this does not beat the coffee chain allegations and I will resume looking for either locally owned or actually worth coffee chain shops

Jasmine N.

Yelp
Quick stop in downtown. Small little shop inside of a building with limited seating. Got a milky way latte which has caramel and chocolate I believe? What it tasted like was a See's Candies cafe latte lollipop. It was just the right amount of caffeine and sugar for the day.

Mark N.

Yelp
Close to our hotel, clean, hot coffee, good breakfast sandwich! Got the job done! Won't be talking about it for years to come either good or bad! Certainly was decent, with friendly staff taking your order and yelling out your name when food is ready. If you want the ultimate experience, go somewhere else! Maybe biscuit bitch, where they make you wait and really yell at you!

Tracy G.

Yelp
Simply and straightforward menu served by friendly staff in a beautiful vintage space. Not far from the Market district and surrounded by shops and businesses. I orders a 12oz hot Caramello with Almond Milk to fortify me in the drizzle. It did not disappoint! Several tables were occupied by people working on laptops so it seems the sort of place they don't mind if you come in and stay awhile. I love that, it really helps solidify a shop's place in the community when you feel welcomed.

Lindsay C.

Yelp
They still don't fill their cups but they haven't gotten my order wrong in a while and move quicker now than they have typically. Best hot chocolate in the city. Best garlic butter bagel in the city - I've tried a number of bagels. Get out for around $10 each time, super simile pricing to any other local coffee shop.

Kathryn C.

Yelp
The sandwich I had was great and the combo of a jalapeño bagel with eggs, bacon, and cheese is something I'd recommend! However, one downside was that the food options were limited. Out of the 6 or 7 bagel options they had, 3 were unavailable. The latte was okay but nothing too special or notable. The service was great. The atmosphere was okay with a lot of natural light, but the place is small with very limited seating. Def not a place to go to if looking to sit down and chat for a while.

Jon J.

Yelp
Place was delicious and not over the price expensive for a bagel sandwich. The ambience was relaxing and the coffee was great

Valerie Y.

Yelp
Eek, I was excited for Cherry Street but I think my boyfriend and I both ordered the wrong thing. I ordered a Milky Way since I love chocolate and caramel but it was really bitter. I think I expected more of a mocha.... but it wasn't my favorite. My boyfriend got a Gingerbread Chai which was sickly sweet and did not taste remotely like chai :( Unfortunately would probably go to a different coffee shop

Mike W.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this coffee shop while walking around Seattle. It was my first time visiting the northwest and We wanted to try coffee other than Starbucks since Seattle is known for its many coffee shops. The staff greeted us warmly as I ordered the bacon egg & cheese bagel without roasted herb garlic butter, on a jalapeño cheese bagel. Wife ordered the same with the garlic butter. We also ordered two lattes. The food was a good quick breakfast choice and a lot better than the microwave sandwiches that are always still frozen In The middle at the place that Seattle is known for. The latte was very good! I would definitely stop by again when visiting the beautiful city of Seattle.

Jennifer E.

Yelp
Our favorite go-to during our trip. Fantastic drinks - we had lavender London fog lattes and oat milk lattes every morning and they catered to our little boys' palates with warmed milk steamers. Bakery goods were pretty epic too!

Cordell C.

Yelp
I decided to give Cherry Street Coffee House a try while I was waiting to do the Beneath the Streets underground Seattle tour. Encouraged by the positive Yelp reviews, I tried the egg, basil and cheese sandwich on a bagel along with an Americano. I rate the sandwich a solid 6 (out 10); good, but not worth almost $10. And the coffee? Let's just say I'm still searching for the perfect cup of Seattle coffee. I was feeling a little greedy/hungry, so I also ended up also trying the coffee cake. It may have been the best of the trio. While everything was "good" (or a little better than good), the value for what you get here is just not there. I don't understand the reviews that say they might come here everyday if they were local; I don't think I'd come here another day.

Sonia H.

Yelp
Such a great place for a coffee. I ordered the chai latte and a biscotti. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Jack M.

Yelp
I enjoyed a rather good breakfast bagel and cappuccino from this coffee shop during my visit to Seattle. It was the Asiago Bagel with eggs, ham, and cheese. The cappuccino was quite good, smooth and rich I should say, and the breakfast bagel rocked with that Asiago Cheese baked on the outside of the bagel. The egg was well cooked, the cheddar cheese melted, and the ham was tasty. I was glad they put a decent amount of ham in the bagel sandwich, but the best part was how tasty the delicious the bagel was. The staff members were all very nice and welcoming. The offer a good amount of inside seating. This a great coffee shop to pick up a quick coffee or snack or to relax and enjoy it for a bit.

Steve A.

Yelp
Excellent sandwiches at this cheery cafe and coffee shop. The gyro was a perfect combination of super fresh pita, juicy meat, crisp vegetables, and creamy sauce. Three types of iced tea are on offer, too.

J M.

Yelp
Nice coffee house with a very much student and local catered vibe. The coffee was good and strong, the bacon egg and cheese bagel was hearty, greasy, and super tasty. And the baklava was amazing, a super different take on the treat. Being right next to pioneer square the view can range from picturesque old town Seattle to a bum fight really quick, but that's the charm of the neighborhood. Great place all around

Nick G.

Yelp
Nutty espresso, not bitter. Big open space, with happy service and a chill atmosphere.

Carol M.

Yelp
Check it out - has variety of iced/hot drinks, breakfast/lunch options and bakery items (breads or sweets). Staff is friendly and great at managing the flow of customers. Expect to drop at least $5 for any of the speciality drinks (hot or iced). Visited a few times and tried different drinks - iced lavender/honey latte, caramello, and milkyway. Liked the flavors. Also had ham/egg/cheese sandwich on bagel, which was heated up so was a smidge crispy and delicious. Decent amount of space inside to sit with a couple tables outside.

Marie B.

Yelp
My experiences with Cherry Street Coffee House tended to be the ones in Belltown when I used to work in the vicinity. This particular location at 1st and Cherry, I've past many times going through Pioneer Square headed to SoDo or the International District. I had a 30 minute wait for takeout by the waterfront, so decided to wander along 1st Avenue in search for some coffee (3/17/21). The person there recommended Cherry Street Coffee House. Just as well, since Storyville is temporarily closed, and no to the Starbucks along the way. Despite it being midday on a weekday, the pandemic has changed the vibrancy of the downtown core with more people working from home. It was so desolate, one has to definitely be aware of one's surroundings while on foot. I decided to finally check out this spot out. Definitely masks are required and social distancing enforced. I like the older interior, especially with the pressed tin ceiling. The left side of the cafe where majority of the tables were was a bit dim, so I opted to sit at the sunny counter facing Pioneer Square. Looks like the upstairs is shared with Sake Nomi. The refrigerated case was stocked, but nothing stood out for me personally. The barista and the other counter person looked a bit unenthusiastic being there. But whatever, I was there only briefly and ordered a cortado. It was serviceable and drank half while onsite. Cherry Street Coffee House has nine Seattle locations, good to see that this indie chain is still going strong especially during these uncertain times.

Yannis A.

Yelp
Cherry street cafe is a nice coffee shop in Pioneer Square area offering different types of coffee (hot or cold) and a nice array of breakfast items. The staff is very welcoming, patient while you decide what you want to order, the quality of coffee is very good. The breakfast items need a bit more imagination and/or variety. For example, I ordered bagel with salmon. It was plain and with cream cheese. Making it a true bagel with lox would include tomatoes, red onions and capers. Small details but would totally change the taste experience. Social distancing is enforced, they sanitize the bench by the window before you sit, it is a decent place to start your morning or get a snack mid-day. They close at 5pm so plan accordingly.

Hayden B.

Yelp
Service was great they were really nice, the drinks were not that flavorful and the atmosphere was hippy but it was good, just a bit pricy.

Cami P.

Yelp
During my time in Seattle, I was on a mission to find the best coffee in the city. This was it. Though I was already thrilled with the quality of the coffee, I took two bites of the bagel and very quickly realized that they also had the best bagels I had during my trip. I ventured over early in the morning, ordered, and ate in pioneer square by The Pergola. After hours of exploring, I made my way back around 2:00pm for another fuel-up. It was just as good. It was nowhere near where I was staying, but it was easily worth the commute, and Pioneer Square was a charming area to sip in. The second I landed back in Phoenix, I found myself wishing I'd stockpiled some Cherry Street Coffee bagels to bring home. My advice for other travelers is to do exactly that.

Eric J.

Yelp
It was very short walk from our hotel. We stopped by for a quick breakfast. I had a bacon and egg sandwich on a bagel. The service was very fast and the employees were friendly.

Vishal J.

Yelp
Cherry Street is a nice local coffee spot. They have multiple locations around the Seattle. There was a nice selection of sandwiches and sweets to choose from, and they had a variety of options for drinks as well. The baristas were kind and made the drinks right away even though there was a long line. The sandwich was very filling, and the jalepeno cheddar bagel had plenty of flavor.

David L.

Yelp
I'm in Seattle occasionally on business and stay at the nearby Courtyard. This is my go to breakfast spot. Great egg on bagel sandos and top notch coffee. Service always quick even though they always seem busy. Will be back in my next trip.

Mary C.

Yelp
Breakfast sandwiches are full of flavor. I had the egg and cheese with tomato and fresh basil. Hubby had the bacon, egg, and cheese. Both on soft chewy bagels. Latte was a perfect companion. Service was awesome!
