Service was great for takeout but there were 2 rocks in my breakfast platter (I think in the corned beef hash). I didn't finish it. Moved on to my slice of cheesecake that I ate while working at my desk before I noticed the bottom was moldy. $26 down the drain and I'm ready to vomit. This place is too new to serve molded food and there's never a good time to bite down on cement. Very upsetting! Update: I took the uneaten food back, recieved an apology and refund. In exchange a man (who I believe is the owner) asked me to take down the review.

The food here is terrible. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie via Grubhub and it's supposed to have ground beef, peas and carrots with a layer of mash potatoes on top, in tight container. What I got was mess that looked like dog food mixed with broccoli and corn. WTH!!

Food was fabulous and portions were good- sized (enough to bring home for the next day’s lunch)! So many choices - from salads to wraps to burgers to entrees to “breakfast all day” ( I think)! Homemade cheesecake was so light and delicious. You will also find baked goods in the case for purchase by the entrance door ... waiter we had was great - super friendly and attentive to our needs without being overdone - everything was perfect! We went for dinner - can’t wait to go back to try their breakfasts! Welcome to the neighborhood!

A warm and friendly place with warm and friendly food. A big, satisfying menu full of tasty delights. The best meatballs and french fries in the neighborhood. A roasted half-chicken is probably about 1.5 pounds. Tasty burgers, wonderful Sweet and Sour Chicken over Rice, a deep dark chocolate layer cake, rich ice cream, lightly delicious baklava, and sides of vegetables cooked in interesting ways. Very satisfying, and very reasonable. A big breakfast or lunch for under $10, a big dinner well under $20. What more can you ask for? A beautifully lit decor that lights your eyes and your spirit. Friendly staff, friendly owner, but I don't think the ice cream was Friendly's, because it was much better. I hear a lunch buffet is coming, on the spacious second floor.

What a great place. The environment open, bright and clean. I am putting up a picture of the Chicken Marsala I had. Turk is awesomely friendly. Ralph is really nice too. Much of the same crowd from the other local diners. It was really good.

Exactly what Center City needed after the loss of Midtown & Little Pete's. Apps & entrees were excellent, portions generous, pricing reasonable. Great value! Service was attentive--Bernadette's a dear. We will be back, and are looking forward to you being open 24/7.

This is a new place where 4 seasons use to be. The portions were large but I am giving 3 stars because of how long it took for the food to come and the chicken in my chicken parmesan panini was a little dry like it was refried. I went for lunch around 1:15 pm but I was on my work lunch break and only had 1 hour. Would definitely give them another try because my crabby fries were very good and I think they are just getting their footings on how downtown service has to go during lunch. The staff was nice and friendly though my waitress did not bring my to go container after I ask I had to ask another waiter after waiting 5 minutes.

I never got a chance to try this place due to the fact that they cancelled my DoorDash order 20 minutes after receiving it. Incredibly inconsiderate given my dasher had already arrived at the store, but I guess the Chestnut Diner wasted both of our time. Also their phone number on google and their website is not in service. Would not recommend whatsoever.
