I was so excited when I passed this restaurant in the Phoenix airport awhile ago -the big sign in the window promised that they were pouring local Arizona wines! The Arizona winemakers are doing some very exciting things, so I couldn't wait to try a glass and see what they had on their wine list. Unless my geography is off, most of the wines were from Napa, New Zealand, and Sonoma - only two were from Arizona! What a missed opportunity, and the airport advisory should hold them to more local offerings. The University of Arizona is on top of the Arizona wine industry, and Rachel DelRocco Terrazas in Tucson is quickly becoming a go-to resource for AZ wines. Please use your visibility to promote your state and it's local industries.

Nice bar and restaurant in the airport before you go through security. Nice selection of wines as well as a full bar. I had the chili fog and Nachos. Nachos were great! Chili dog was only ok. Staff was helpful and friendly. I will definitely add this place to my list of go to places to grab food and a drink at the airport. Next time I will try their French dip sandwich.

Small airport with a wonderful bar/restaurant. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Had a glass of wine while waiting for our flight. Very clean area and well taken care of

You know if you are in an airport and need a good glass of wine, check this joint out.

I was here recently to watch the NFL conference finals and the atmosphere was great and fun. In particular, the bartender, Brian Lynch, went above and beyond. I know this because I saw and heard people come up to personally thank him for making difficult travel days better for them. If you're flying through Phoenix, Terminal 4 and the Cheuvront Wine Bar is a great place to kill some time!

Google
An okay bar before security but the employees allow friends to come and play video games on their phones so you can hear them 20 feet away over the music and having earphones in. Go any where else !!

Erika V-N was greater us with smiling eyes a nice up beat attitude she served us quickly and made a great atmosphere to relieve stress. Told a couple jokes too she’s funny but professional... I really look forward to her serving us at 4 peaks next time

Flight delays allowed for an extra Margarita. Heather’s hospitality was infectious. She was a real joy during our travel disruption.

Yelp
Rough day... my flight was cancelled while I was en route to the airport and I decided to continue to see if I could find a flight that was sooner than the one I got rescheduled to. When that didn't happen, I decided a nice lunch and a cocktail was just in order for the first day of my vacation and that's when Cheuvront appeared on my walk through the terminal. Chris artistically prepared me a fabulous and delicious Buffalo Trace old fashioned. I initially ordered a Manhattan but didn't realize that they made the special with Mezcal. I hate tequila,... so that would've been a tragedy, but fortunately they were out of Mezcal... hence my second choice order of the old-fashioned. I ended up ordering the roast beef sliders, and they were absolutely fantastic ... very tender and very flavorful. Of course I had another old fashioned. Yeah... it's a little pricey... But this is the airport. The real dilemma here is that it was my first day of vacation and part of that vacation is to head to my childhood home and deal with some parents who are suffering from Alzheimer's. So really it had all the makings of a pretty crappy day with the addition of the canceled flight. Thank you to Cheuvront and Chris for good food, great drinks and great conversation, and an awesome place to people watch. If my first flight had to be canceled and my second one had to be delayed.... This was the place for a perfect attitude adjustment.

Yelp
Giving them a 4 star review because my Mango Margarita is damn good. Not sure on the price since the cocktail prices aren't listed which is strange. I also ordered chicken nachos which are okay. It's airport food so I wasn't expecting a life changing experience when placing my order but they're good. The chicken is tender and juicy, the chips are probably tostito, the salsa is definitely Pace Picante which I like so I'm not upset. Overall, the vibe is chill, the bartender is nice and the food is decent. If I came back to Phoenix, I would come here again. UPDATE: the margarita is $24 which is insane but again, I'm at the airport so the prices are always outrageous so this is not too surprising

Yelp
This stop is strictly a bar now, no kitchen. If you want to eat they only offer prepackaged cold sandwiches wraps and salads. The bar still has a wide variety of drinks and the bartenders are still super pleasant. But if you want a snack you'll have to wait till you get through security.

Yelp
Rudely told they had no food menu. Why bother with this place? I'll know not to waste my time next time

Yelp
This place was bad even by airport standards. Our bartender/ server was completely unfocused. There were less than 10 people in this place at around 1:30 PM today. Literally had to ask 3 times for a menu. Can't tell you how the food was bcuz by the time we got a menu we had severe reservations about waiting forever to get food. Several requests made to get water. Didn't have typical ingredients for a mai tai. The only positive thing I can say is that it's outside of the security area. Save your money for a different bar/ restaurant. The doctor ( Notorious MD) is declaring this place terminally inadequate.

Yelp
I am giving 5 star rating because of Jessica! She is sharp, beautiful and attentive. I had a bunch of rabbit foods here but it's nice and fresh...exactly what a sicko on the plane needs. I was eyeing on the South African rose but they only sell it by bottle. The rest of the wine by the glass are on a pricey side tho I hope that is changing!

Yelp
We seated ourselves after a worker in the kitchen motioned us to do so. We sat, looked at the menu, and then looked around for a bartender or waiter/waitress. Nothing. We sat some more and waited. And waited. And waited. We finally looked around at two gentlemen who looked like they might work there. My sister approached and one of the gentlemen acknowledged that he did, in fact, work there, but motioned us toward the bar and told us to "Give our order to her." We walked around the bar and found a bartender/waitress talking to two women at the bark. We interrupted and asked whether this was where we should order drinks and dinner. The waitress/bartender looked up and said, "Yeah. You've only been here 2 minutes." We left because (1) we had been there almost 10 minutes; and (2) she was rude. So...if you own Cheuvront Restaurant & Wine Bar and had a server on duty the afternoon of July 21, 2023, my advice is to fire her and get a better server. It shouldn't be hard.

Yelp
We had a long layover and wanted a place to sit and relax, have dinner and a drink. We chose this place, not knowing the airport - made a great choice. Had the bacon and blue burger and the harvest salad. Food arrived to the table quickly (it was a slower time of day) and everything tasted great. Also enjoyed a glass of Zin and a Sierra Nevada. Service was pleasant and friendly. Prices are in the higher end but it's at the airport, so nothing extra ordinary.

Yelp
Well... First I want to say that I have experienced Cheuvront in downtown Phoenix many times and was a huge fan. I loved the restaurant and everything about it. The food was delicious, the wine list was amazing and the cheese selection was out of this world. Not to mention the employees, who were knowledgeable and friendly on 100% of my visits. Then, inexplicably, they decided to close the downtown location in favor it seems of this Sky Harbor location. So they closed a real restaurant to later open in the airport as what I would now call a shadow of it's former self. I am in Sky Harbor pretty frequently, as I travel relatively heavily for business purposes. I had been awaiting the opening of Cheuvrant there for months. Recently, three of us finally had the chance to stop there for some pre-departure adult beverages. We also decided to eat. What we found was that the menu was extremely limited, and although our prime rib sliders were quite good, the empanadas were not (they felt and tasted like they had been frozen previously) with hard and questionable pieces of what appeared to be meat inside them, and the cheese board was considerably overpriced for 3 small pieces of cheese, even by airport standards. Overall, not pleased with the food. The wine menu also disappointed. There's a great bottle menu, but this is an airport! How often are you going to sit down and have an entire bottle of $70 wine immediately before an encounter with the TSA? I venture to say not very. The by-the-glass menu was extremely limited and, in my mind, especially for a restaurant formerly known as "Cheuvront Restaurant & Wine Bar", completely inadequate. In contrast to some of the other reviews, though, the service was prompt, food and beverage delivered quickly, and the bartender (we sat at the bar) was indeed knowledgeable and friendly. This was really the only highlight of the visit. As a former lover of the old Cheuvront, I was really, really disappointed, and will probably not go back to this location, especially since there is a Chelsea's Kitchen almost directly across the concourse. Sorry Cheuvront, I really hate to be giving you a review this bad. I was a huge fan of the downtown location and wish it had never closed. If you ever open up another spot somewhere other than the airport, I'll give it a try, because I loved you that much before the airport......

Yelp
Super elegant place for an airport. The price is just right too, you'd think it would be more expensive since it looks so upscale. The service is great too.

Yelp
I visited here last night with my husband while waiting for our daughter and son in law to arrive back home. It was great! The service was great & the food & presentation was great! The atmosphere was also very nice! We are middle aged empty nesters and now a days it's hard to find a place where you can go & get away from other peoples children! Don't get me wrong, I love kids but when I chose and there is nothing more annoying than getting sandwiched in between two families with children at a restaurant in a booth! I had a salad w/turkey (I can't remember the name) but it was beautiful & delicious! And my husband had the French dip & fries! He was happy! The bread was soft & warm & he said it tasted really good!

Yelp
I really don't know how to rate it. The only server was also bar tending. She was very helpful for how many things she was doing. The price is what got me $16 for a glass of house wine and $15 for a gin and tonic. Maybe I am just out of touch but the total bill (before tip) was $60. In addition to the two drink mentioned, we had 2 ice teas and a cheese plate.

Yelp
Nice place Friendly service and great selection of wine. A nice refuge in a busy airport. The cheese selection was varied and the burger delicious

Yelp
Oh gosh. That feeling when you make a bad decision and you can change your mind but you follow through with said bad decision. I left the gate area because my flight was delayed and the terminal was crowded for this "wine bar and restaurant." The menu is nothing short of yucky. The wine list is melancholic at best. Unfortunately the service (even though I ordered a bottle of wine and sat at the bar) did not help make me feel welcomed or worthy of the overall theme of melancholy. Yes, yes there were signs - there were signs! But I was hoping for the best... The big screen tv's did not help - gosh i loathe the din of big screen tvs when I am just trying to chill out.

Yelp
I hope you have a layover. You're going to need a big one. This place has average food, and a delivery time about the same as a PHX to LAX flight. I'm sure it's because they're new, but their legacy restaurant in Phoenix was open for 10 years before moving to the airport.
google avatar

Shelby B.

Yelp
Small little bar and eatery pre-security. As a coworker and I were heading to different gates we decided to stop in here for a quick dinner before we took off. The service was okay, maybe a little slow in initially getting us menus and drinks serve. I went with the Meatball Sandwich and have to say for an airport restaurant it wasn't half bad. If you need some food outside of security, this is a decent option.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Expensive, but nice place to enjoy a glass of wine before or after your flight. Large bar with a decent wine list...not sure why they offer so many by the bottle vs. instead of everything by the glass. Friendly service, nice atmosphere and good drinks!

Yelp
So very disappointed the wines by the glass very mundane, no variety all most all chardonnay California with no variety. what wine bar serves Kendall Jackson. Was a great wine bar in the day now it plactes itself to the uneducated palate. So disappointed servers uneducated as well.....

Yelp
Airport location. Melissa was wonderful. I'd suggest your preflight drink be here. Cheers

Eddie G.

Yelp
If your flying out don't stop here. They have no regard for your time. After 20 minutes of waiting we checked on our order. Oh it'll be 15 minute more at least. The cook hasn't started it! No apology from the below average (skill wise) server. There were only 2 of us, she forgot 1 drink order and came back to ask what the 2nd food item was! She should try writing orders down.
google avatar

Rich F.

Yelp
This could be a very bad start. 6 customers, 6 employees and 60 minutes to get your food. Good news is that we were eating AFTER arrival, if not...time to re-book that flight. SUPER SLOW!
google avatar

Nicole J.

Yelp
Service was slow and by the glass wine selection is lacking. Hopefully it improves with time.

Yelp
Great pork sliders! Best tasting margaritas that I had to have 2! The bartender Jeffery makes great drinks and is very helpful with choosing foods.

Jeanette C.

Yelp
Had a late breakfast while waiting for my flight. Chose the traditional breakfast. Oh geez. Danny's would have been a better choice. The bacon tasted like it was five or six hours old and the potatoes were soggy and very greasy. Service was okay but certainly not four-star.

Nora R.

Yelp
My mother nearly died at this restaurant. She ordered pork sliders, and sent the sandwiches back to be warmed. The kitchen must have broiled the meat and the meat became a ball of inedible dried out meat and cheese. My mother did not realize this, took a bite and choked. My mother is 87 years old. There were two people working in the restaurant, and only one server who never came around.; the other just stayed at the bar. Luckily, a man at a nearby table rushed to my mother's aid and used the Himelich maneuver several times. It was so scary. No one from the restaurant came over to see what was wrong even though there was quite a commotion. When the server brought our bill, I told her what had happened, and she was very blase. "Wow, I did not see that happen." I told her she should notify the cook, but I have no idea if she did.

Mari D.

Yelp
Sorry, call me a fool but I do not agree with past reviews! 10 minutes to get my tenderloin sliders with special order attached (horseradish rocks!) prompt service on my drinks, awesome service attitude. Pricing? C'mon, really? If you complain about pricing at an airport restaurant then ya need to stop and grab a bite before you get to the airport!

Linda N.

Yelp
Had a 3 hour layover when the flight was cancelled. Jeffrey, the bartender, made the experience very comfortable. Suggested the Fillet and Blue Salad which was fabulous. Wine suggestions were right on. Definitely my go-to restaurant when flying through Sky Harbor.
