Was also there this weekend for the "Whose Live Is It Anyway?" show, and this is not a review of the show (which was great) but the venue itself, which was not.
Located in Medford, there is no parking lot and everyone was finding street parking. This didn't end up a huge issue, but we walked several blocks to get to the theater. As others have said, it seems like an old HS Auditorium built in the 40's or 50's. I can't imagine the performers were thrilled to be there.
There are several doors in the front to let people in via, but before the show there is a long metal fence that corrals people past a) the people who stamp your hand if you want to buy drinks, and b) the security people. Once past that, you can go in and we were only aware of the one bar immediately inside the entrance.
The booze line was confusing (not sure how to "get in" and where the lines were being formed from) and slow to boot. Considering the age and condition of the place - hell, regardless - the drink prices were outrageous. $16 for a large Harpoon, $9-$12 for a small drink in a plastic cup, $24+ for a "large" drink. For the price of 2 large drinks, I could have paid for an entire bottle. $5 for a bottle of water. I think this place labors under the illusion that it is Fenway park. Or some venue that had been renovated sometime after the stone age.
Getting up into the theater, as others have noticed, the seating is very old and the place was WARM. It was a cool night out, otherwise it would have been a serious distraction.
Most of the show involved being able to hear the performers, and even though I was 6 rows from the stage, the sound was not good.
As others have mentioned, although there are 6 double doors marked exit, only the 2 at the rear of the theater were opened at the end of the show, and it took a long time to empty, even though it's not actually that large of a place.
I absolutely would not go back to this venue. I'd recommend, at least in the warmer months, opening an outside bar within the metal corral fences so there is less of a traffic jam inside the doors.
