Chez Adele

We had a wonderful time going for the first time for a friend’s birthday. Our server Micky was so friendly and accommodating! The owner generously comped some drinks for us as first time customers. The plantains with the onion-forward dipping sauce were phenomenal. The Brussels sprouts had a lovely balsamic glaze topped with creamy goat cheese. Several of us ordered burgers with side salads, and the greens were of high quality. The standard vinaigrette offered was a wonderful blend of tangy and subtlety sweet. The smash burger patties were cooked well with crisp edges while maintaining a juicy interior. The garlic parm fries had a crisp exterior and fluffy texture. Everything was phenomenal, and Micky even helped us with the cake our friend made and brought. Do yourself a favor and come check this spot out!

Went for anniversary and staff was so sweet and kind!!! They were so fun and you can tell they care a lot about the food and customers. The food itself was so good- def recommend the burger! Wanted fried plantains but we went during brunch so it wasn’t available- they were so kind and made it for us anyway :’). It was also delicious! Thank you so much to Bart and the rest of the team for a great start to our day (I will be thinking about that rum cake all year).

The food, service, and everything was incredible! I highly recommend Chez Adele. This was one of the best smash burgers I’ve ever had. We also had the chimmichuri chicken sandwich, which was PHENOMENAL!! The chicken was extremely flavorful and had a great crisp. I will be coming back!!

Went here for Happy Hour on the Thursday. A few of my friend's were there ahead of me and ordered wings. I wanted to order wings, too, but for some reason they didn't have anymore. So, I decided to order the plantains. I was expecting them to be flattened but they were cubes. Regardless, they were plentiful and good. I wanted something else so I asked for the Deviled eggs on the Happy Hour menu. Its two sliced eggs but the flavors were delicious! Its a must try. The super nice waitress was telling me about the West African spice used and that I need to try it on another dish they serve. Next time! For drinks I had their margarita, plain and one mango, which were decent. The vibe of the place was also cool: clean and modern. The 90s R&B and Hip Hop Music was bumpin. I plan on returning soon.

10/10 - I definitely recommend. Bart was extremely welcoming as soon as we walked in. The atmosphere and music were perfect after a long day of driving We ordered the Brussel Sprouts and Plaintains for appetizers. They came out perfectly hot and absolutely delicious. I also ordered the house sangria, which was perfectly balanced and refreshing. I ordered the Mr. Blue burger with a side of fries. The burger was perfectly flavorful and juicy. The bleu cheese was even and balanced with the rest of the toppings, so it wasn't overwhelming. I can't wait to visit again!

Lunch was bomb today! I highly recommend Chez Adele if you're craving something flavorful and satisfying! I ordered the chimichurri burger with fries, and it was absolutely delicious. The burger was juicy, packed with flavor, and the chimichurri added the perfect kick. Fries were well-seasoned. On top of that, the service was fantastic, friendly and attentive. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to! And you should too! They also have a spacious patio!

Went for dinner tonight, plantains were fantastic, and we both agreed our favorite smash burgers in the city! My partner got the house one, I got the GOAT, both top notch. Can't wait to come back and try the deviled eggs as well!!

I had the chimichurri chicken sandwhich, and my husband had the sunrise burger and all i can say is that the food was 10/10 the fries met my expectations if my fries aint crispy enough then that aint good but their fries were crispy so that's 10/10 and fyi it was my first time trying ginger beer too, i'm glad i listened to the guy that took care of us to try it. I will definetly come back here!

I stopped at Cafe Adele last night after a recommendation from a friend. I was greeted immediately by staff and welcomed. Made my to go order and was given ice water and asked a couple times if I needed anything else. It was clean, adorable, has a great drink menu and a varied menu. Thanked for my order when leaving and had door held open. Ok, got home started eating the smash burger. It was fantastic with crispy edges and tasty beef. The hand cut fries didn't even need ketchup, and I'm a ketchup person. They were perfectly cooked. Run to try this place. Food exceptional, service nice and owner is very thankful for your business.

Highly recommend this little spot. Large gorgeous patio in the back. Cute front restaurant. The food was terrific. Menu has sandwiches and burgers, traditional, West African dishes, and even a kids menu. Tonight I had the chicken maafe and it was wonderful. The flavors did not disappoint, the portion size is perfect, and the price was affordable. My friends had smash burgers and said they were terrific. The owner was an amazing host and the staff really nice Working on their liquor license so BYOB right now. Greg, the Karaoake KJ, is a hoot for Wednesday night karaoke!!! I will be back and recommend you go too!! Update: they received their liquor license, and he can make cocktails that aren't on the menu!

First off their smash burger is so delicious! When I'm craving this I make sure to come here! There is other food options and they are good as well. Service is great. It's a neighborhood restaurant but the owner Bart is very personable & friendly! The restaurant is very simple and clean. We've been here quite a few times I hope this places sticks around for a while. Good addition to the neighborhood!

The smash burger was very good and decadent but there's should be an option for a 1 Pattie hamburgers-and without fries for some customers that watching their calorie intake.

My experience was amazing. The waitress was very intentional with listening to what I was looking for and making recommendations. The Chef greeted us and ensured that we enjoyed our food. The food was tasty, flavorful, and fresh. I also enjoyed the music. I appreciated that the waitress continuously checked on us, refilled our water without a request, and asked if we needed anything else. I will be back !! Ps. The drinks weren't weak :)

Great place for a BYOB dinner. Food was great and the people working there were awesome. Their burger was great and everything that came with it was also. I saw them bring out an ice bucket for a few couples that brought wine and glasses to match. Please check it out.

Everything went very well as we discovered this sweet spot this afternoon and went for dinner tonight. I was excited about the West African influenced dishes and my wife was looking for a great burger. Bingo! We started with the incredible Brussels Sprouts, super flavorful, and mixed that with the fried plantain. My wife loved her classic smashburger, and I relished the Maafe. Very toned down and not spicy dish, but lovely flavor. Our waitress, Alissa, did a great job. Bart, chef and owner, is from Burkina Faso. Applause for this place!

We had a very pleasant experience at Chez Adele. We ordered the Chi Philly and the Chimi Chicken. Both were delicious and came out steaming hot. The plantains were amazing, topped with some sea salt. We plan to return. Perk it's BYOB. Fast and friendly service. Happy to see new business in the neighborhood.

Chez Adele is the best kept secret in North Park that needs to get out. I've never had a bad meal from chicken sandwich, smash burger, fish tacos, to Japanese ribs The environment is laid back and family friendly.

Great food and vibes. Great Smash burger! I had they're special chicken Philly and truffle parmesan fries. Only knock is that the fries 10$ but not many was giving.

Great neighborhood addition to the Bryn Mawr corridor. The menu options span Asian, African, and American cuisine but not in an overwhelming way - the selections are complementary to each other so you won't feel like the combos don't mix. The Maafe was delicious and I especially like the fried plantains. Have a hankering for a burger? Guess what, they do them wonderfully! Smash burgers are excellent both size and taste - appetites will be challenged! Great to have this option and the family that runs it have been super kind and friendly with excellent service. I wish them continued luck!

Ordered the G.O.A.T. burger and the chef came out to ask me how it was- really nice guy. That burger was the only thing I thought about for the 10 minutes I was eating it. So so good.

The smash burgers and wings are delicious. Big portions! Made fresh! I highly recommend it!
