Superb! This restaurant is a gem in the middle of Glebe. It is perfect for special occasions. The atmosphere is great, and in the lounge area, there was live music. The pianist was playing the selected pieces really well. We pretty much tried all the dishes in the menu. Everything was delicious. 🤤🤤 All the staff is amazingly kind, friendly , and super professional. They know what they are doing. We will come back for sure.

The service and atmosphere at Chez Beckett was amazing! The food was good but not exceptional. Overall, we recommend this venue for a special occasion, especially for a romantic date night.

Cyril absolutely deserves the highest recognition! From the very moment we sat down, he went above and beyond…guiding us through wine selections, offering spot-on food suggestions, and even presenting dessert in such a fun, memorable way. His friendly personality, sense of humor, and wealth of knowledge made the evening unforgettable. While the food and ambiance at Beckett’s were excellent, it was truly Cyril who elevated the entire experience and made it extraordinary. I would come back again and again just for his outstanding service!

The place is beautiful from the moment you arrive outside to when you walk into a romantic dimly lit huge space (even tho I just went with a friend) and the service is very good and attentive just like a classic French restaurant normally is. I did find it odd tho, the wine isn't poured at the table and brought out in glasses, so you have no idea if you actually got what you asked for. The souffle we started with was very nice, the other pate terrine entree could of done with a flakier crunchier warm pasty, having a room temperature soft pastry reminded me of a pie out of the fridge. The mains were ok, decent but not outstanding. Overall an enjoyable experience.

The ambience of this place was wonderful - what a gem! My friend and I came here for a girl's dinner out and the moment we stepped in we were welcomed, and once seated our wait staff was so friendly, welcoming and happy to recommend dishes to us. We started with caviar (who can say no), had escargots in pie form which we had never tried, but now avid fans. The cheese soufflé was a dreamy cloud of goodness and the beef tartare was seasoned perfectly. For our mains we had the bouillabaisse and duck breast which were delicious. We ordered a peach dessert and a chocolate mousse dessert which were the perfect dishes to end our meal on. Highly recommend coming here for delicious French fare.

We had such a lovely dinner at Beckett’s Glebe! My partner started with the strawberry foie gras. Honestly, I didn’t expect to like it, but after I had a bite, I got pleasantly surprised. It was my favorite dish among all the food we had. I’ll definitely order that next time instead of the escargot for my entrée. For my main, I had the roasted Canadian clawed lobster. It was cooked perfectly, flavorful, with just the right amount of chew, and not overdone at all. My partner had the Scotch fillet, which he said was spot on. I’m not a huge foodie, so it wasn’t really my thing, but he’s all about food and cooks himself. When he said it was great, I knew it was the real deal, compared to the last couple of French restaurants we’ve tried. For my entrée, I went with the escargots en cocotte. Normally, I like my snails the classic way on the snail plate, but cracking open the pastry lid was kind of fun. I mostly ordered it out of curiosity since it’s such a popular dish. For dessert, I chose the honeycomb and vanilla crème brûlée, but it ended up being a bit too sweet for my taste. But that's just my taste buds. My partner’s coffee cherry crush, though, was amazing. Wish I’d ordered that instead! There will definitely be next time. Also, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The manager was knowledgeable about wines and had a great sense of humor, not in a trying-too-hard way, just naturally funny and easy to chat with. The atmosphere at the restaurant was warm and inviting, and it really made the whole dining experience special.

Great ambience and a perfect place for a date if you’re looking to impress. The live pianist added an upmarket touch. The food was excellent though dessert could be served a little quicker as we waited at least 45mins before it was served. Our waitress Julie was incredible. Very friendly and professional and very efficient. She also recommended a great wine. Any place would be lucky to have her on their staff. Looking forward to going back.

It was an absolute pleasure dining at Becket's Restaurant. The service was truly exceptional—special recognition to Jessica for her outstanding professionalism and attentiveness. The food was exquisite, complemented by a delightful atmosphere and the charm of a live piano bar. The wine selection was impressive, and the bar team showcased remarkable skill in crafting cocktails tailored to individual preferences. An all-around excellent experience! Please note we may have spent a bit more than average as we went heavy on the cocktails:))))))
