Came here for dinner in the last week of November with a booking. It was very busy, which actually felt like a great introduction to living in Vienna. The interior is beautiful and really stands out. The bar sits in the centre with tables all around it, high ceilings and hanging plants, and the whole place has a lively but cosy feel.
We were dining with our dog and were initially seated quite close to the bar. When we asked if it was possible to move, the staff were genuinely kind and very accommodating and found us a window table straight away. It was nice to feel welcomed with a dog rather than it being an issue, which isn’t always the case.
The atmosphere is definitely the strong point here. Great energy, lovely lighting, and a strong cocktail menu. It feels like a place people come to enjoy the space as much as the food.
Food was a bit mixed for us. We started with a dozen oysters that were unfortunately quite dry. I very rarely send food back, but asked them to check and the waitress handled it really well and brought out fresher oysters which were much better. The duck main was tasty but quite small.
Overall, we had a really enjoyable evening. It does feel like you’re paying more for the atmosphere and location than the food, and the bill was on the expensive side, although we did have several cocktails. I’d happily come back for drinks and the setting, especially as a dog friendly spot.
