Just plain ol' good!!! What an incredible addition to the montreal food scene. Was able to try this place out soon after it opened, staff was so kind, vibe was great and design so cool. Best lox bagel ive had in the city, and ive tried many! Today, i ordered on uber eats- im recovering from surgery and was so happy to see this place on there.Food was incredibly fresh still and delicious. Tried the Larry ( best of both worlds- love that option!) trying white fish for the first time. Easy to try something new when everything there is always so tasty. On top of that, Jake left the sweetest message on my bag. Wonderful spot, sweet people- just try it out yourselves!

I literally can’t say anything bad about this place! To start off with, the food was IMPECCABLE! The quality of every ingredient is so present. Secondly, the coffee was fantastic. I have no idea where they get their roast/if it’s homemade, but my double long espresso was absolutely delicious. Lastly, the owner was so friendly, and the vibes of the entire spot were great! I would recommend this place to anyone! I definitely will be coming back. The white fish salad was something new to me, and I would highly recommend it as well!

Chez Greenberg is THE place for lox and bagels in Montreal. With everything but the bagel being done in house, Chez Greenberg is the easy choice. They source their bagels fresh, daily from a nearby boulangerie. The rich family history and the warm, friendly atmosphere invited us in, the food delighted us. My wife and I split the Sandwich bagel avec lox et schmear, this was the best lox and bagel I’ve ever had! They cure their salmon in-house. Owner Jake Greenberg stopped by our table to have a friendly chat. Stopping here totally made our trip!

It seems so ordinary, a bagel lox & cream cheese but WOW. And the whitefish? Mind blowing. I was truly taken aback by how delicious these bagels were. Didn’t have a chance to try the knish or babka but will forsure be back.

From the moment i walked in, Jake greeted me with a smile and a genuine kindness that’s hard to find these days! You come for the food, but you stay for the warmth. Jewish cuisine elevated to a new level. Flavors are rich yet balanced, presentation is simple. The vegetables they serve are grown on set using a hydroponic system, ensuring freshness and quality. I don't forget to thank the beautiful girl who followed my order 🤩 💘 I tried their smoked vegetables bagels it was incredible😋👏🏻 For all book lovers they have a small library but most are in English so I suggest to add some French books 😉 And more vegetarian food on the menu 🙏🏻 ’ll definitely come back to try their coffee 😀 Keep up the good work 👍🏻

This place serves hands down one of the best bagels I’ve ever had. The flavor, the texture, everything was just perfect. What makes it even more special is their dedication to quality they use local ingredients and even grow many of their own. You can truly taste the freshness in every bite. This is the next best thing to your parents buying bagels on Sunday morning and serving them with all the accoutrements. I can describe the vibe as warm and "heimish", with the affable Jake Greenberg making sure that every guest eats well and leaves as a family member. After two visits, I felt as at home as I did at the old Brown Derby. As for the food, ahhhh!! Fresh bagels, flavoured cream cheese to schmear on said bagels, and impeccable lox. Plus, my slice of tomato was literally the diameter of the bagel. That's no small feat to source! But the star of the show was the Poutine Knish. Not too doughy, delightfully carby and carrying the flavours of two of my favourite foods. I'll have the whitefish salad next time I go, and there WILL be a next time. Don't sleep on this spot, but save a table for me.

Nice sandwiches with house-smoked salmon on St Viateur bagels. Also yummy crunchy-on-the-outside pressed knishes.
