The Most Anticipated Los Angeles Restaurant Openings, Summer 2025 | Eater LA

"A classic diner project from Phil Rosenthal and Nancy Silverton taking over the former Le Petit Greek Larchmont space, inspired by the Palace Diner in Maine; expect approachable diner classics like a breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, potatoes, and coffee, plus an antique, century-old–found aesthetic with period fixtures." - Matthew Kang

Google
The hours here are listed until 1:00 PM. My dad and I went. We entered into the restaurant at 12:45...it was seat yourself. We sat. After sitting there for about 10 minutes, someone came over to us and told us the restaurant was closed...this was still before 1:00. Disappointing to day the least. My husband is in food service and closing times are understandable, but the signage should indicate that orders end 15 minutes before closing or at least turn off your open sign!

Yelp
I brought my Mom up to Madawaska and we had dinner here. She had the liver and onions and said it was delicious. She also enjoyed the cold slaw very much. I had a Helen favorite- chicken fingers and sweet and sour sauce. Very well done. Friendly quiet atmosphere. Would recommend and hopefully come back either my ATV or sled. Because we were so full we told dessert home. Fried cheesecake with a cherry sauce on top. Well needless to say we both ate it and was delicious. Next time save room while there.

Yelp
Had a couple good meals here when on business trip to Valley. They serve a great breakfast and lunch with a lot of choices. Good homemade pies too. Fast and friendly service.

Yelp
The food is always Excellent. The staff are friendly. It's a small little hideaway. Make sure to stop by Four Corners Park after breakfast and if you're adventurous take a drive up to the Allagash for another amazing diner and spectacular views.

Yelp
Cute little place on a sidestreet in Madawaska. I was in town for a meeting, and looked for a place for breakfast the night before and found lots of glorious reviews for Chez Helen. As it turned out, I had leftovers from the wonderful dinner the night before (see my review for Chantal's in Edmunston!) so I decided to go to Chez Helen after my meeting, for lunch before starting the 5.5 hour drive home. I loved the homey decor, decorated at this time of year for the upcoming St. Patrick's Day holiday. It was sparkling clean, warm and inviting. I sat at a booth and a friendly server greeted me. There were TONS of specials that each looked good, but I'm trying to eat healthier right now (trying to shed winter weight), so I looked at the salad offerings, and amazingly found one with almost all of my favorite salad foods in one bowl - Blueberry Spinach Salad with chicken breast, almonds, blue cheese and balsamic vinaigrette. I wasn't disappointed. The chicken was very nicely grilled and the fruit and veg was fresh and appealing. The vinaigrette was tangy and didn't go perfectly with the salad, but it was good. The cheese was a bit of a disappointment as it didn't have a strong blue cheese taste, but that may be good news for some folks! It needed a bigger plate, and I didn't think I'd finish it all, but I was able to - I couldn't stop eating it! As I looked around I saw that what others were having looked just as appealing as my lunch. And someone came around to greet customers that I can only assume is "Helen" (or another-named owner) herself - so nice when an owner comes out to say hello and appreciate those who visit. If I ever find myself in Madawaska again, I'll surely stop in for a meal. One caveat - the parking lot is tiny and cramped - probably a good idea to park on the street if you have a large vehicle.

Yelp
First time customer at a decent place called- Chez Helen in Madawaska, Me.. It was later in the day, and they offered a breakfast menu which I love ! So I ordered eggs, crispy bacon home fries w/ onions and home toast and coffee. My hubby ordered fish, French fries, and carrots. W/water. (Pictures provided) I really enjoyed my meal. I did ask for my bacon Extra crispy and I ate it all! The over easy eggs were perfectly cooked. My hubby enjoyed his fish but, he thought his French fries could of been cooked a little crispier. He's a fifth generation potato farmer and he's fussy with his potato's! The interior of the restaurant was very clean and the waitress was exceptional! There's one thing I look for in a restaurant, if I see that they can't keep it clean, I'll turn right around and walk the other way, without question. I do find the French/ Acadian American way up here in northern Maine has a lot of pride and I have yet found a place I wouldn't go to . It makes me proud to live up here! We couldn't ask for a better lady to take care of us! She had a room full of customers and she waited on everyone with a smile! I definitely will go back again! The prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is family oriented and comfortable. Check it out. There's parking available next to the building . Go in and enjoy a meal and support the community.

Yelp
Their recent post on Facebook says they deliver but their idea of delivery is whenever they want. Had to wait 2 hours after I ordered. I just don't understand why you'd put "delivery available" on Facebook yet do it only when you feel like it

Yelp
I love Crystal Lynn's. The staff is always on the ball and very friendly, as are the patrons who frequent this lovely restaurant. The food is awesome. Home cooking, very clean and well presented and delicious. It's my favorite place in Madawaska.
