Excellent regional food and very kind service at affordable prices and with a great view on a charming typical medieval Dinan street. I especialy recommend the "cocotte de poissons et crustacé sauce américaine".

This was our first dinner in France, had on our day of arrival in Dinan and it was quite the way to start our incredible trip. A local recommended Le Mere Pourcel and we're so glad he did. The menu is perfect, service incredible, and food absolutely delicious. A couple of us started with the oysters—lovely—then my husband and I had the beef with hollandaise (because how can we pass up hollandaise???) and our friends had the fish—both excellent. The vegetables with our proteins were downright perfection. Cheese plates excellent and my creme brulee was the best I had on our whole trip. Of course the wine selection was wonderful. Can't recommend this place enough! Bon Appetit!

Wonderful food, ranging from french delicate things, to really great crepes, to even a super local hamburger. A must in Dinan! Overwhelming interior design and outdoor seating as well.

Amazing food! The local is very nice and the desert of crepes with chocolate was amazing. 10/10 would recommend! No Wi-Fi

The building burnt down a couple of years ago.

My husband picked out this one and he's usually right on the money. This was by far our best meal so far in France. His filet was superb, I could see the tenderness from across the table. I tried the Andoulle (sp?) sausage casserole, which was amazing. Their open bottle muscadet was very nice. They were full when we arrived at 8 PM on a Tuesday night, but seated us outside and still gave us good service.

I went on holiday nearby with my girlfriend who has been going to the same place for over 20 years with her family! This is her favourite restaurant in the area so I was very keen to go and see what the fuss was about. We hadn't booked as we were on holiday and as such had no internet, and equally couldn't find a card in the cottage, so we just turned up and hoped! They hadn't got any free tables inside, and it was a September evening so fairly cold outside but we braved it and were the only people occupying a table outside the restaurant! It was worth it as the food was exquisite, we mixed and matched between ourselves on the set menu options but the star of my meal was the pork in a cocotte cooked with cider sauce, which was the best meal of the holiday, let alone the evening. It was gorgeous, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone - it would be worth the cost of getting to France just to eat here. We were getting cold towards the end but the service was fantastic and even though we were the only ones outside, the waitresses kept coming out to check on us very regularly. I now have bought myself a couple of cocottes as eating here inspired me to up my cooking skills! 5 stars, if not more!

Wow. Great food in a wonderful atmosphere. Food was excellently presented and friendly staff. Recommend the Montgolfier St Jacques (scallops and veg such as asparagus in a cream sauce topped with a balloon of pastry). Took the fact that we had 2 small children in their stride. Menu Formules at 23 and 29 euros. Nice wines.

Super! Very nice restaurant, exceptional friendly people, which is uncommon in the French restaurants I've been in. You feel welcome here. The food is creative, original and very tastefull. The price is very good for what you get. When in Dinan, go and eat here!
