Stop looking, book here! Best place in Caen. Our friends staying at the local hotels were envious of our lovely Haussmann style apartment with its lovely high ceilings and tall windows :) get the breakfast and the fire kit. We enjoyed the fire place glowing in the evenings. On Friday mornings the weekly market is right outside your door. Note there is no lift so consider booking the first floor apartment.

We stayed here for several nights and loved it. The apartment, while a bit funky, is very comfortable and very clean. What we really loved about this place was the service. We were given free parking passes to park in a nearby indigo parking garage. We also decided to upgrade the complimentary petit déjeuner of baguette bread. Amazing viennoiserie, baguettes, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, cheese, and eggs were all delivered to our apartment- what a feast! And it was so easy, we just rolled out of bed, picked up our fresh bread and croissants and pain au chocolats by the front door of the hotel, and had our lavish breakfast in our apartment! They even arranged to have two masseuses come to our apartment to give us a great couples massage. And they referred us to an excellent nearby restaurant, Monsieur Louis. If I am ever in Caen again, I will definitely stay here. You really get to enjoy the full French experience here.

When I read reviews, I look to the background of the person providing the review. I have travelled extensively in the US and Europe over the years. I recommend Chez Laurence du Tilly unabashedly. We had a lovely apartment with kitchen in the Old Town of Caen. It was a great base to explore Mont St. Michel, Bayeux and Omaha Beach. On Friday, we walked downstairs and found a wonderful farmer's market, where we purchased wonderful fresh pate and fruits. Their recommendations for restaurants were spot on, and I found Caen to be charming. If I had a regret, we would have stayed longer in Caen. The city feels very French and not touristy. The prices are very good for hotel and drink. Chez Laurence du Tilly is charming, and gives the feeling of living like we were French.

The cutest apartment located perfectly in Caen. The apartment is lovingly decorated and appointed with everything you need. Located a few minutes from the pedestrian zone and the Hotel de Ville, Abbey aux Hommes, etc. Salomé gave us fantastic recommendations for restaurants for dinner and made the reservations for us. Loved our stay.

We had a wonderful stay. A brilliant location - ideal for visiting historical sites, good restaurants and bars. The apartment is beautiful - gorgeous decorations and style.Also very comfortable and well equipped. A lovely welcome from Salomé. She did everything to accommodate us. We definitely plan to return.

This was my favorite place out of four that we stayed in France. The host was amazing and very accommodating. The apartment itself was beautiful, spacious, well maintained, and in a great location. My only caution is that it is close to a bar that remains open until very late on the weekends, so be sure to bring some earplugs if you plan to stay at that time. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to all.

The bottom line is that this is a spacious, clean, convenient and most attractive apartment. The hospitality was outstanding. The location, in the heart of Caen, proved to be both entertaining and interesting. Before arriving you should know the exact location of the building. This is a crowded area and that knowledge will facilitate your registration. ||Laurence greeted us and explained the inner workings of the apartment. Waking up to a baguette was a treat! Should we return, we would not hesitate to stay there again.

Exquisite decor and chic taste throughout! The small touches added a great deal to our stay: the fresh tulips, the bread, and the creative bar downstairs, just to name a few. This was our first visit to Caen, and the apartments are perfectly located to the center of everything. Thank your having us!
