The 30 Best Wine Bars In Paris 2024

"Rive Gauche is generally known for being pretty touristy and old-school, but Chez Nous is anything but. The long, narrow space with exposed stone walls, sharp steel counters, and a wooden bar makes for a great place to go on a date, or with a group if you’re traveling with friends. The owners know their stuff and are happy to talk about the French-focused list that includes many by-the-glass options and a deep bottle selection. This is an excellent bar à vins for cheese or charcuterie, like thinly-shaved slices of truffle-inflected gouda." - sara lieberman, tanisha townsend

Google
Good wine and really friendly staff. Easy to talk to and ask things about wines. It’s small but soft place to sip on a good wine.

Google
It gets pretty packed after 19h. The wine selection is great, and the small plates are solid. The bottle we got recommended was 50+ euros idk if this is average bottle price here - anyways the wine was good.

Daniela Dullius

Google
Great selection of natural wines paired with small bites (cheese and charcuterie) and atmosphere

Apoorva Kamat

Google
One of the friendliest wine bars or anything in Paris! Great wines, amazing tapas- no dinner here Would highly recommend if you are a wine lover. The staff helps you choose if you aren’t very familiar with local wines also!

Veronica Hardy

Google
I cannot recommend this place enough. I love coming here. The food and wine is sensational. As well as the staff being really friendly. All around good atmosphere.

Google
This was a lucky find. Wandered into this small, very well curated wine bar that sits across the street from the Seine. We bought a couple of bottles to go. Staff opened them and gave us plastic glasses so that we could enjoy some high quality but affordable wine down along the river. Went back a few days later and tried the food. Wonderful charcuterie. The people running the bar know their wines and are very well versed. This is a "must visit" for me every time I'm in Paris.

Google
Mega cool vibe. Great selection of wines. Cheese plate was wonderful. Met some cool people from Greece. Fun times.

Google
This place was so great we went two nights in a row! HIGHLY recommend you get the shaved gouda with truffle and olive oil. It was incredible! The employees are all knowledgeable and friendly and encourage you to try different things by offering you tastes. We had the champagne the first night and then tried some different whites the second night! Great, cozy environment :)

Yelp
Amazing olives, cheeses, steak tartare, and jambon. I'd love to come back and try basically everything else on the menu as well. They were also very accommodating to our kids (4 and 2), one of which was melting down when we first came in.

Yunji L.

Yelp
We were sitting at the bar table, ordering wine and talking, but a blond-haired woman who looked like Madame the owner kept pouring wine into our wine glasses to get us out of the store quickly. Her deliberate and calculated behavior of continuing to pour wine, even though it was still there in our wine glasses, was extremely unpleasant. The wine bar is a place where we come to relax and have conversations over wine, and I think it's the worst mindset as a wine bar president to do this rude thing to get customers out quickly

Yelp
On our second night in Paris we found our selves at this lively wine bar. The place was packed and we were turned away until one of the hosts stopped us and said he had a place in the very back. It was just the right spot for us. Our two servers were both pleasant and welcoming and were happy to guide our wine choice for the evening. Had a couple of tastes of varietals I cannot remember (jet lag) and settled on the Medoc which we really enjoyed with the charcuterie. If I ever get to Paris again, I will seek this place out!

Yelp
Our first stop after 24 hours of traveling was to Chez Nous. This teeny little wine bar with a bunch of fab natural and organic wines, includes three, THREE pet nats available by the glass!!! Overall the prices are a little higher for Paris, but still lower than what we are used to in the US. We ordered the cheese and charcuterie board to pair with our wine and it knocked our socks off. The truffle Gouda was shaved so thinly it was transparent enough to see right through. I don't know how I missed capturing a photo of this (all I have is a pretty wonky selfie and that's not helpful so I'll just forgo sharing). The bar was extremely busy when we ventured in around 4pm on a Saturday. Definitely worth squeezing into a corner to experience though!

Yelp
One of the best bar du vin in Paris. Great staff. Wry friendly. Amazing offerings. No wine list, tell them what you like to drink and they will pour you options. Bottles are very fairly priced. We've come twice in one week! All natural and biodynamic wines. Mostly on the lighter side; think burgundy, Beaujolais. They have a small menu of incredible appetizers. Charcuterie is so thin you can see right through it. Staff speak perfect English.

Yelp
This was the only place in Paris where I encountered staff that met the stereotype of rude and arrogant Frenchmen. An avid wine drinker and seasoned in natural and biodynamic wine, I went in looking to try the latest in French natural wine. The bar does not have a wine list so you will need to rely (at your peril) on the judgment of the staff. After asking for whatever was the most interesting wine they were currently pouring, I was dismissively told "all of our wines are interesting", which is simply never the case. There was never an offer of listing the various wines being poured and the waiter was incredibly impatient as I decided on the profile of wine I preferred to drink at that time. I gave up trying to get information and ended up getting an unremarkable glass chosen by the waiter. The waiters also appeared to have better things to do (i.e. standing around outside doing nothing) than to actual pay any attention to the patrons in the bar. Avoid this place like the plague. For a REAL wine bar with staff that actually knows and wants to talk about wine, go to Septime La Cave.

Yelp
A delightful local wine bar that offers affordable but good french and sometimes non french (ie spanish) wine. Close from Notre Dame. Always busy, noisy and crowded. English is not a problem but servers are always busy serving someone. Food is good.

Yelp
I'm giving this 5 stars, cause if it doesn't deserve 5 stars, it doesn't get a review. Walking home from dinner on our last night in Paris and come across this little spot for no other reason than it was open and wifey and I wanted one more glass. Glad we did! Asked to see a wine by the glass menu and was told there wasn't one- you tell them what you like and they recommend. We told the young guy who owns the place we wanted something light to end the evening with and we were drinking a type of champagne I never knew existed that was very crisp, red, and low in alcohol. Great place, cool vibe, passionate owners!

Yelp
We were staying nearby and every time we passed by in the evenings it was filled and seemed to give off a good vibe. We went in for a happy hour drink. The atmosphere was easygoing and enabled great conversation. The owners were great in helping to select your wine. I didn't find what I like right away but he was very patient and helpful in finding me something I'd enjoy. The prices were very reasonable. Although we didn't take in the tapas, the selection look pretty amazing. I think we'll be back before our vacation is finished.

Yelp
This place is nice, but only to locals - to local French people not really something for tourists. A little bit further down the road there's an Irish pub that is open and welcome to tourists. But this place is a local wine bar, a local French wine bar with a lot of familiar faces for the owners so the clientele supports this place not really to welcome or open for strangers

Yelp
I've had a few really lovely evenings at Chez Nous! The guys who work here are great, and are super accommodating and patient for people with specific (i.e. picky) wine tastes. One time I came in and tried 3 or 4 wines before settling on one I enjoyed. I felt bad for being difficult, but was told not to worry, and that they wanted to find something I liked. The wine selection is really good, the snacks are yummy (especially the truffle gouda, it is amazingly good. They buy it at Le Bon Marche just FYI if you're looking for it in a store), and for 6 euros per glass you can't go wrong here!

Yelp
We were staying down the street at the Hotel d'Aubusson and stumbled into this great place on the 3rd night of our 8 night stay in Paris. We LOVE this place. The young owners, Arthur and Robin, are doing an excellent job serving great food (charcuterie, fish and cheese plates) to pair with a very nice selection of wines by the bottle or the glass. Great atmosphere, mainly a younger crowd from our pov, as we are in our 60's. We stopped in every night for a bottle and a bite and enjoyed our interactions with the friendly crowd and the very welcoming Arthur and Robin. It is a small space and can get pretty crowded as the evening goes on, as it is rightfully popular. We went shortly after it opened each evening and had no problem getting a seat. If you are in Paris and like wine bars, you must stop in; you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I have been here a few times with different groups of friends and have always had an awesome time! The servers are super friendly and helpful - patient when you don't know much about wine and allowing you to sample a few to decide which one you would like. At about 6 euros a glass I would highly reccomend Chez Nous for either an after work drink or on the weekends when getting your night started. They not only have a tonne of wine to choose from but they also have some fantastic nibbles one can order as you sip your wine and take in the atmosphere. My friend had the truffle gouda which she loved and said she would come back just for that! The bar is always super crowded but provides a fun and lively feeling - I suggest going with just a few friends to ensure you get a seat!

Yelp
Best part of our dining experience this trip thus far. And it's almost over so that's saying a lot. You walk in and are greeted by the sweetest French man (boy to some). If I wasn't happily married (and pregnant) my girlfriends and I would have been here daily to snag ourselves one of the waiters to take home as a souvenir. He spoke wonderful English, sat us on a fun, long shared butcher table and set out to find what we 'liked'. I told him of an Italian wine I found and he said he knew just what I needed. A light pink bubbly cross of a rose and champagne. He was spot on. We weren't starving but needed food. They have a small tapas menu but it's totally in French and he couldn't explain them, but said we really just had to taste it. They brought us some meat samples before we just asked him to surprise us. A plate of meats and cheeses, salad and chutney and bread was brought out, slightly different than other plates we saw along the table so it seemed to be catered to what we were drinking. The truffle cheese was insane. Absolutely amazing. It's off the Main Street so not noisy even with it's open front to the street. It was empty when we arrived but was filling up when we left around 9. All in all, I want to go back tonight and try more. I bought 2 bottles to take home and delight in later but might need to go back as we already opened one. Whoops.

Yelp
Great wine selection at reasonable prices. The staff working suggested some wine based upon what we like and we were not disappointed. Flavorful tapas that were reasonably priced. Casual ambiance that was fun and intimate. The staff was friendly and even suggested some other neighborhood bars/restaurants. Heard they have only been open a year but whatever they are doing is working

Yelp
Incredible place for a glass of wine. Friendly staff, great wine, great location. What more could you ask for? If you're in Paris and you're looking for wine, look no further. Great cozy atmosphere.

Yelp
came on the early side and got a seat at the back counter. no drink menu. staff asks you what type of wine you prefer and they bring you something they think you'll like. if you don't like it, they'll get you something else easy. foie was a huge portion. very good w the bread. tartare pretty good too. place gets really crowded so don't be offended if you have to flag down a server.

Yelp
Adorable wine bar in st germain de pres. Super cheap, service is extremely friendly and wine variety is huge. We had sauvignons, pinot noirs and Bordeauxs to drink, all which were great. We also ordered a burrata to eat, which was deliiiiiicious and perfect for sharing. Went on a sunday night and place was packed.

Yelp
Right across from the Seine River in Paris, this was an initially completely empty little wine bar that suddenly became full and packed with people with in the hour. Reservations recommended. There were a group of 4 in our party and if we had not arrived early, we would have been unable to get a table. That being said the wine selection was incredibly extensive and the bartenders very knowledgeable. They have a list of tapas on the chalkboard, all of which I wanted to try had it not been for our 8pm dinner reservations. We ordered Truffle Gouda Cheese served with French Bread to pair along with our wine. Pours were generous and in no time our group was having an amazing time, thank you Chez Nous!

Yelp
Absolutely lovely evening, perfect for a relaxed date. The decor is very intimate and cozy, it reminds me a wine cellar, and the wine I had (the recommendation of the bartender, so I don't remember its name) was delicious. Not too loud, not too quiet, the place was bustling with young people and groups for birthday's, dates, etc. There also was an outdoor table that accommodated smokers. Seemed very popular and for good reason. I would definitely return.

Yelp
Amazing wine bar. Servers have a great understanding of wine and a great selection to pull from. Don't be worried if you don't know much about wine. They make it easy for those who can't describe what they want. Come in and enjoy!

Yelp
A hidden gem!! Excellent food, great selection of wines Don't miss this new wine bar! Very affordable prices in this aera I recommend strongly

Yelp
Walked by two nights in a row and decided to stop on for a glass. There was plenty of room at the bar but we were told we couldn't stay. Highly recommend avoiding this bar and it's unfriendly staff

Virginia L.

Yelp
What a perfect fit for a cold night in Paris. After leaving Notre Dame from a concert we wanted some wine and warmth. We got that and more, great wine, great starters and great service! Small but so cozy! Servers are intuitive in knowing what wine works best for you! Just go and enjoy!
google avatar

Emma W.

Yelp
Cute little bar, with a great selection of wines. Bar staff very friendly and helpful, and recommended some lovely reds for us to try. Recommend arriving early, as it's quite a small bar and gets busy very quickly.
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
Amazing place. Good place for a drink for a small group of friends ( 1 to 2 max) as it gets pretty busy later in the evening. A glass of wine is around 6 euro.
google avatar

Heather N.

Yelp
Super friendly staff that knows what they are talking about when it comes to wine and meats and cheeses. The place was packed and we had to stand at the kitchen area counter but it was worth it. The atmosphere is warm and inviting.

Yelp
Very cool wine bar! It gets a bit crowded since it's in a central location and the ambiance of the bar is nice enough to bring people in from the street. There is no menu and so you just tell the server what you're "in the mood for" and he will try to give it to you, which for my experience turned out to be better than what I was expecting! Their charcuterie is also pretty good and not too expensive! Great place to go for drinks with a few friends (only cause the place is a bit small and it gets busy), will definitely come back!

E F.

Yelp
Terrible service. Great if you like being ignored 45 minutes before getting a table and then ignored some more once you get a table. My husband ordered a bottle of "Pinot" after one glass of white just because the service was so bad, and he brought over Pinot noir, red which we both hate. Out of awkward embarrassment I accepted it while my husband was in the restroom. We got a cheese plate, which I could not eat, since everything we cross contaminated with beef, which makes me violently ill. We just paid the check so we could leave. Being my first night in Paris in my whole life, probably the only time I will ever be here in my life, it was so disappointing I went back to my hotel and cried.

Courtney S.

Yelp
Well this place is completely shut down for renovation right now even though they were listed as open on yelp. Not sure if they will reopen or? But at least from Aug 2015 to near future, don't look for a meal here....totally gutted.

Candice V.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this place late one evening and are so glad we did! Fun ambiance, helpful servers, delicious and inexpensive wines by the glass! The best sauvignon blanc I have ever had for 6.50 per glass.
