"The Metairie location of Chez Pierre is the only one open for now, but you can still order its from-scratch cakes online or by phone and a team member will bring your cake out curbside. Flavors like white chocolate Chantilly, chocolate ganache, and red velvet are just a few of the popular options. The bakery is keeping designs pretty basic for now, but no harm in asking about a custom cake when you call. All medical care professionals receive a 30% discount with I.D." - Beth D'Addono

I ordered their 8-inch Fruit Chantilly Cake for my mom’s birthday ($34.90 excluding tax), which serves about 8-10 people. The cake was so delicious! The taste was very smooth and was not overly sweet. I had pre ordered them on the phone a couple days ahead. Pricing was not bad at all considering the good quality of it. Service was nice when I picked up the cake. The inside was neat and organized as well. I also ordered an additional Mini Mocha Cake ($6.25) and Medium Fruit Tart ($5.05) during my pick up. Both desserts were tasty as well. I’ve never tried their actual savory dishes here, but I’ll gladly say that Chez Pierre is a classic spot in Metairie when it comes to Viet/French pastries and desserts

I came in today to get a fruit cake for my mom and dad’s birthday. The only fruit cake available on display were the really large sized ones so I asked the worker if there was anything smaller and she said that there was. She rang up the cake with only strawberries on top. I asked her if that was the fruit cake just to be sure and she said it was. This is my first time buying cake here since my parents are usually the one to buy it, so I bought it and went home. We just cut up the cake and it was just strawberry only. This was probably just some miscommunication since strawberry is a fruit but I was looking to get the cake that had a variety of fruits on it. I thought the strawberry cake would be called strawberry cake and the variety cake would just be called a fruit cake but I guess not? I’ll be honest and say that I didn’t read the names of the cake so idk what they’re called in store lol Overall the strawberry cake looked great and the taste was decent (just a bit dry), but we would’ve enjoyed the fruit one more. I’d still come again but would make sure that I’m clear with what I’m looking for next time I’m there

One of our work vendors brought a cake from this bakery for my birthday, not sure of the name but it was one of the best cakes I’ve ever had! The cake inside was chocolate, perfectly balanced not too sweet and the texture was amazing. It had slices of strawberries and icing in between the layers. The icing on the outer part was like a chocolate mousse and then topped white chocolate covered strawberries. Absolutely AMAZING job, one of the best cakes I’ve ever had!

This is a Vietnamese owned bakery- I had no idea there was a history there. Excellent food. I wish I had bought more and my next trip down, I will be certain to. The pastry was super flaky and so good! You could taste the butter. Cream cheese was perfectly sweetened and soft. Everything was scrumptious! Highly recommend.

Google
"Wow, this coffee shop is a true find! Their Vietnamese iced coffee is exceptional – the perfect balance of strong coffee and sweet, creamy condensed milk. It's honestly one of the best I've ever had. But that's not all; their selection of pastries, cakes, and food items is truly impressive and everything looks absolutely delicious. I grabbed a "giant " slice of Chocolate Chantilly cakeand it was heavenly. The atmosphere is also lovely and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a treat. If you're looking for fantastic coffee and a tempting array of goodies, look no further!"

Google
Amazing!!! I have been to Nola several times and usually hit up cafe du monde because I usually have new people with me. But I woke up early before anyone else so I could actually check out some new places. And this little café was worth it! The lady at the counter was very polite and answered all of my questions and didn’t rush me at all. The displays were beautiful and I got one of each flavored croissants, all of which were amazing! Definitely check this place out if you get the chance to!

Great, warm service. Ordered several items and each one delicious! Thank you Chez Pierre. The coconut chantilly cake tasted like our paradise guava cake from back home. Great place and clean.

Google
This is a pleasant little café which was a nice surprise when I came in. I really, really wish that places like this would serve coffee in ceramic cups rather than paper ones. I cannot stand espresso being served in full-sized cups - how hard would it be to have a few demi-tasse cups for espresso when you go to the trouble of being able to serve the stuff? Nevertheless, the coffee - whilst not specialty - is perfectly adequate. There is a huge range of cakes and patisserie available. The staff are very polite and attentive.

Yelp
What a treat! I love this place! Fresh selections of quality and taste! I had the almond croissant and it was phenomenal! I tried the broccoli quiche, it was under seasoned but so very fresh and very good. I enjoyed an iced latte with oat milk, and got some to go items! Very happy I stopped!

Yelp
My friend and I came here for lunch on Sunday. We arrived about 11:45 and the place was empty. You place your order at the counter. They have their menu posted on the wall. There are pictures of each item with no prices listed. We both ordered the grilled Shrimp Vermicelli. Both women working there were unhelpful, unfriendly and unspeaking. They acted like they didn't want to be there. I felt like leaving right there. I think we should have. No thank you to us and no smiles whatsoever. We took a seat at a table and they eventually brought our food out. It was edible, but not that great. And for the high price ($20!!), you don't get very much. We watched as people came in to buy the big cakes and all. The display case was full of pretty looking items. My friend and I narrowed our choice down to about 3 and then decided to split the Mocha Chantilly piece. We again dealt with the rude workers. We brought the cake back to our table and tried it. It seemed stale or old. It was completely dried out and had no taste. The frosting was inedible. I tried to eat some of the cake part since I just spent $7.00 on it, but it was tasteless. We threw it away uneaten. It was a complete waste of money. I don't see myself coming back here.

Yelp
I visited this bakery for the first time just an hr ago. I was underwhelmed. The two ladies working in here did not go out of their way to be friendly. They seemed like they really didn't want to be working there. The lady who I was asking about the bakery items seemed a bit annoyed that I was asking questions even though there was no one else inside. So there shouldn't have been a rush. I purchased a slice of vanilla cake. It was a fluffy light cake with a light cream-like icing on top and between the layers. There was fruit on top. Overall, it wasn't bad but it didn't excite me at all. It didn't have much flavor. I wouldn't order it again. They did have several other baked items. I wouldn't mind returning to give a different item a try.

Cathy K.

Yelp
Best Vietnamese iced coffee - nothing like it. You'll say that you tried them all, but this one is different. Almost thick, perfectly sweet, full body flavor, coffee is not bitter or acidic in the slightest. Only complaint was it was almost entirely ice...definitely get the large when in doubt. Pork and crawfish pastries were amazing. Not a huge crawfish fan but theirs had some type of spice, peppery type sauce that was surprisingly good and masked any fish taste nicely, for those who feel the same about "seafood" taste

Jeanne A.

Yelp
The chocolate Chantilly cake had little to no taste. I ordered a large Vietnamese coffee which was $8 and got a 8 oz plastic cup that was filled 3:4 the way with ice. When I said something the clerk said "people complain that it is strong so we put more ice to water it down" I said I wanted more coffee and less ice and she said we don't offer that. So for $15 I got a cake with no taste and about a 1/2 cup of coffee! I will never come here again. Also while sitting here I watched both employees be straight out rude to the next 5 customers, acting as if they couldn't be bothered to answer questions!!!

Lori M.

Yelp
Very overpriced, poor quality "French Bakery", strange flavors, and stale products! Should have $$$ sign for price!

Jacob C.

Yelp
I am a sucker for a good bakery, and this place did not disappoint! We just moved to the area, and I will definitely be coming back. They have a wide assortment of pastries on display as well as a custom order process. They have outdoor seating and clean restrooms. Will have to try the food selection next time.

Gina H.

Yelp
First time we tried here, everything was so good! We tried the pineapple meringue, cannoli & assortment of pastries (see picture), petit fours. Their cream puff was very good & the custard inside was delicious. Another time we came we had their mini linzer cookies-these were delicious. Unfortunately, the cream puff was not as good as the first time. They are creative. Staff is friendly. Try them out!

Sophia N.

Yelp
I was in town for a quick business trip and stumble across the bakery. Since I was on the go, I had order something quick to eat. I ordered the combination special banh mi and pate chaud (meat pies). The meat pies was worth remembering! It outside was so buttery, flakey & lightness on the outside and so savory in the inner part of the pastry. Definitely would come back for the pastries.

Ken M.

Yelp
The staff is wonderful af. The food is great. I found it strange to have a shrimp bahn mi po-boy with sautéed shrimp and without pickled vegetables. I think they should fix the po-boy and strengthen their coffee but everything else was great. They even have military discount. I will be going back EVERY-TIME I come back home to Louisiana!!

Hannie L.

Yelp
Not very welcoming, this place is not the same as it used to be. The desserts used to be really fresh. For the last few times I went, the tarts and cannolis has been soggy. The prices are on the higher end as well.

Yelp
Y'all have to try Chez Pierre's life-changing pate chaud (aka Vietnamese savory puff pastry with a meat filling)!!! Imagine a golden, flaky, layered, buttery puff pastry stuffed generously with the most tasty, well-seasoned and juicy ground pork filling. For many years, I had to settle for sub par pate chaud from a rival bakery in New Orleans East because I had no idea such pate chaud perfection existed! Insider tip: you can pre-order pate chaud ahead of time as they usually sell out early because apparently, it is a big favorite of the locals too! In the past, I have pre-ordered a dozen pate chaud and they even survived an 8 hour road trip to TX. In case you're wondering, they taste just as delicious when you heat them up again in the oven or toaster oven. Give in to temptation while you're at Chez Pierre. Live life to the fullest and keep that belly of yours full and happy! You might as well try some of their wonderful treats- a variety of whole cakes, cake slices, fruit tarts, cookies, pastries, etc. They're well known for their amazing, incredibly moist and delicious Chantilly cake (meticulously decorated with fresh fruits & a light/airy cream filling) which far outshines other competitors and even comes in individual sizes. I only recently sampled their cream cheese King cake and got hooked! My first bite felt like I was eating a light, melt in your mouth, not too sweet piece of heavenly goodness! I hope you'll visit Chez Pierre soon and enjoy everything this bakery has to offer! Chez Pierre has my heart and I hope it will have yours pretty soon too! Since it's Mardi Gras season, be sure to go on an empty stomach so that you can feast like a king or queen! EDIT 2/21/22: Just found out they have a very yummy bo luc lac (shaken beef/cubed flank steak) rice platter! Will have to try it on my next visit!

Joy L.

Yelp
I was surprised by the French pastries and Vietnamese food combo being offered. However, I stopped in for 1st time being in the area and very pleased. Crawfish and meat pies were flaky outside and yummy inside. You can even purchase the crawfish or meat pies to go frozen and bake at home. I enjoyed the fruit tart and personal size king cake was delicious too. King cakes (cinnamon or filled) sizes being offered were personal, small, medium, and large. The personal size was perfect for my family of 4 dinner dessert.

Katrina N.

Yelp
Shut this nasty place down!! First gave us an attitudes selling the cakes. Keep in mind we always buy pastries/dessert/cake from them. We brought 12 slices of cake. Came home to eat them... 6 of them were molded!!! I immediately called them to complain how molded it was. The audacity of that lil girl on the phone to put the blame on us for the reason on why it's molded. "Did y'all leave the cake out the fridge because we cut the cake fresh every morning." Sweetie, the cake may be cut every morning but the cake may not be baked fresh every day. If y'all cut that disgusting cake every morning and didn't see that mold on that cake, it must be normal for y'all to sell molded cake or maybe you need to get some glasses. Get out my damn face with all that. Ofc we got our refund bc they wanted us to to drive at least 45 mins to show them their molded cake.. just shut this disgusting place down. They have been going down hill ever since Covid. Selling people old ass molded cake with an ugly ass attitude.. People do not have time for this. t's really an inconvenience for everyone.. spent over $100 just to be disappointed and sick. Save your money, your gas, and your stomach because it ain't worth it.

Genevieve F.

Yelp
I saw that they are a patisserie as I drive by to go to the bank and I had to go back. I got the Shrimp Banh Mi and it was the bomb dot com Banh Mi. There was cilantro, jalapeños, cucumbers, etc on a sautéed shrimp with lovely spices. The bread was delish too. Note to return and eat pastries.

W. L.

Yelp
This place is a gem. On a super busy intersection but they've created such a calm, welcoming interior that you scarcely notice. Pastries are straight out of a classic French pâtisserie. The Vietnamese food is divine. Great place for a meeting, family meal and dessert or just to stop by for a snack. Have lost count of how many times I've been there--highly recommended!

Lexus P.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best slices of cake I have ever eaten! Pandan is my absolute favorite flavor and they nailed it! It's super fluffy, soft, and not too sweet. Also, the people there are amazing. Can't wait to go back!

Maeve G.

Yelp
I've heard people rave about the pastries here, and honestly I was very dissapointed. I got the almond tart and the mocha chantilly cake. I would've never expected there to be raisins in a tart, so I was quite surprised when they were there. If I had known there were raisins, I would've never ordered it. The raisins ruined it for me. The mocha chantilly barely tasted like coffee or chocolate. Personally the whole appeal of chantilly cake for me is the light and whipped frosting and this was the total opposite, heavy and thick and left a film in my mouth. Everything was also very pricey. Saving grace is the staff was very helpful and kind.

Carolyn L.

Yelp
We have ordered a wedding cake there. To our surprise they offered Pandan cake with buttercream frosting which was a big hit for our guests. However here's the problem we have with the bakery., It was hard to get a hold of the cake designer. There's two locations. And you have to call both to track her down. There were some last min changes but it took almost a week to get in touch with her. Secondly) the bride wanted to include her 3 dogs.. However, the design of the 2 schnauzers and the husky was beyond horrible. We wouldn't mind if she call us to say she can't create those pups in a way that would be presentable. So when it was delivered.. I as the maid of honor have to tell the bride that these pups figurines are a NO GO! We ended up just turn the cake to a different side so people won't see it. But it costed $15 per figurines to create yet we couldn't use it.

Margaret L.

Yelp
the pandan chantilly cake is phenomenal! i love pandan and this cake just blew it out the water!! will def return for more goodies!

Jackie A.

Yelp
This is my Second time coming here and the cashier girl has been rude both times. Talk about a turn off. I'd suggest changing the hours online before catching an attitude with your guest.

Mike H.

Yelp
Great cake! Yum yum yum. The little pecan things are good too. Nothing else to say just yummy!

Dominic N.

Yelp
Came here with Katrina to this "French bakery". It was le caca because my chantilly cake was moldy. The top was beautiful, but we looked deeper and the mold was everywhere. Ew. The cake wasn't the only thing moldy. Service here was moldy and rotten, too. The attitudes of the young girls who served us was so bad that it spread to the cake. How disgusting! I major in biology, but I had no interest to study biology in my cake. Never coming back again.

Victoria H.

Yelp
Very disappointing food. I will no longer be a customer. Earlier this week, I ordered the sautéed shrimp vermicelli noodle plate to-go, which I've ordered many times before. It tasted very bland.. & I realized they forgot the peanut sauce. Then I opted to try the orange sauce they always put in the plate in a container. An immediate foul odor came from the cup once I opened the top. It was clear that it was expired so I threw it away immediately because the odor was so strong. Today, I went in for a cannoli. I asked when they were made & the lady said it was fresh. I ordered one & when I picked it up, I could feel the soggy shell so I went back in & asked if there were any with a crispy shell because mine was extremely soft. The lady said no, they're all the same since it was made at the same time. This place used to be good, but the past several times were a complete waste of money. $20 disappointing plate & $5 disappointing dessert. Save your money & go elsewhere.

Angela S.

Yelp
I do love their chocolate ganache cake but the service is horrendous. Went there two Saturday's in a row and the people behind the counter are rude. The guy DOES NOT use the tongs or any gloves to when he picked up the individual cakes while he touches everything in the store. Was running errands and called earlier in the day by chance to pick up my cake and was told that the pick up was for later in the day. Went to pick up at the exact specified time and it still wasn't ready. What a departure on how nice my cake looked the year prior. The first picture was 2019 and the last two pictures are this years cake of 2020

Victoria H.

Yelp
It's overpriced for the quality. There are a lot of selections but doesn't really stand out for me. I wouldn't go out of my way for this.

Michelle Q.

Yelp
Always a wonderful experience. The service here was excellent! There's nothing like a good flavorful bowl of pho on a cold day. Their mango avocado chicken salad is one of the best. The onion vinaigrette dressing is amazingly delicious. My husband swears by their grilled pork rice dish called Thit Nuong. And the desserts, well, some of the best I've ever had.

Roxanne M.

Yelp
Bakery goods are delicious! I usually go for the Shaken Beef and leave with a pastry. Love the food!

Hoa K.

Yelp
Omg I requested to have rum added to my cake and they accommodated! They don't do run unless it was Christmas but they did it for me! This is the second year we ordered our cake from here for our anniversary and I'm sooo happy I did! Mocha Rum Cake is what I normally get when I was living in Houston and this reminds me of home . Cake was moist and had a rum fragrant when I cut into it. It's a true buttercream frosting! Not super sweet which is why I love the Viet/French pastries!!! Y'all gotta give it a try!

Lynnvi D.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had a rough week, so I decided to treat us to lunch at this bakery. Everything is so clean and the dessert display is beautiful. The cashier recommended the crawfish pie and I also got 2 meatball banh mi's and the vanilla chantilly cake. Service was fast everyone was friendly, and all I can say is whoever is making the food in the back...keep doing what you're doing because it was DELICIOUS. It hit the spot. The crawfish pie was flaky and the filling was so flavorful with crawfish in every bite. The banh mis were crunchy on the outside and so soft on the inside. The meatballs were seasoned to perfection. Then, the star of the show was the cake. It was moist, fluffy, airy, not too sweet and the fruit was so fresh. I will definitely be coming back to try the other desserts and foods there. 10/10 from my boyfriend and I.

Kate D.

Yelp
In a word... Fabulous! I've been a customer of this bakery for more years than I can remember, and I have always loved it. Since they have moved to this larger location they have added to the menu. Now you can come in and sit to eat some of their pho, vermicelli, plus many more items and of course their pastries. The even serve a few breakfast dishes which are excellent. I had an omelet not too long ago and it was one of the best I've ever had. As far as the pastries go my personal favorite is the Napoleon. They sell a wide variety of pastries, so their is something for everyone. They even sell whole cakes and cake by the slice. Their chocolate mousse cake is one of the very best in town. The employees are always helpful and friendly so definitely give this place a try!! My only hope is that you love it as much as I do!

Rozane K.

Yelp
Love Chez Pierre! The breakfast items are so delish and the pastries and cakes are awesome! I ordered a cake for my friend's birthday and it was gone before we knew it!

Marielle S.

Yelp
Ooh tasty! I had had Chez Pierre pastries before at bridal shows I've worked, so they were definitely on my list of places to visit. David brought me here when we were in the mood for something sweet and the spot didn't disappoint. I got a strawberry Napoleon and David got a huge piece of red velvet cake. My Napoleon was delicious with thick cream inside and big piece of strawberry. It wasn't overly sweet and it satisfied my sweet tooth nicely. I only wish that the crust on top had been a little flakier and easier to pierce with my fork- I ended up having to pick it off and eat it like a cracker. David's cake was big and easily big enough for two people, if you're looking to share. They also have a full menu of Vietnamese food here, so you can get lunch along with your dessert, if you wish.

Dana G.

Yelp
I have ordered both Vietnamese food and pastries from this location and have enjoyed them both. The fruit tart is my favorite. My husband loves the Chocolate tart the best. The staff is helpful and friendly. I love all the fresh pastries and there are lots of varieties to choose from.

Sharron W.

Yelp
Great breakfast croissant.... Only drawback is that that's the only option pretty much to choose from.

Michael H.

Yelp
Excellent king cakes. I've had many king cakes from all over the city and theirs ranks near the top.

Alexandria Y.

Yelp
Great tarts. Good sized. I brought take-out lunch as well. It was pricey than I expected. The portion was much smaller than what it served at other Vietnamese restaurants. I loved the bakery selection. I will not be returning for the Cafe.

Susmitha K.

Yelp
Great chantilly cakes Best cakes visited several times with husband So many varieties and mouth watering :)

Zoey N.

Yelp
Love this little place! Food is amazing and the same goes for the bakery goods!! I had shaken beef plate to try. Very flavorful, tender and juicy. I ordered some of the cake slices and everything tastes so good! Very moist but not too sweet. Very balanced overall! Great place!!

Robbyn K.

Yelp
Okay... We stopped for breakfast & coffee... We got Vietnamese Iced Coffee - DELISH. To be noted, don't freak out when you walk in & see that they don't have a million and 3 breakfast items to choose from - THEY DON'T HAVE TO. The selection of croissants they have are each perfectly made - and I mean PERFECTLY MADE, I can't put into words how buttery, flaky, perfection, these croissants are... and you can feel them morphing into one with your derriere. LOL. This location is super clean, staff is REALLY nice & I always love a good Parsons chair. Oh, and I HIGHLY recommend the blueberry cream cheese croissant.

Jovan W.

Yelp
OMG!!! Food was delicious and full of flavor. I was so hungry I didn't get a chance to take a picture of my salad and egg rolls. This was my first time trying this place. I will definitely be back for more!!!

Tasha A.

Yelp
I wrote a review on this place almost 4 years ago as the employees were extremely rude to both me & my daughter. The negative experiences have been going on way before the pandemic/hurricane. I see that absolutely nothing has changed!!

Andi F.

Yelp
If you are going to a function that involves other people, let me suggest the Chantilly Cake. Let me tell you, it is the bestest ever! Yes, bestest is a word in my dictionary. Ok, now that I have that off my chest, let's get on with it. Yes, this is a Vietnamese restaurant and a French bakery due to the French influences in Vietnam. I have not ever had a bad item in this place. Their croissants are light, buttery goodness. The cakes are not overly sweet, which is awesome. Their lunch dishes are all very good, I just can't pick out one favorite. Their breakfasts are more Americanized, but still good. This restaurant is located on the south west corner of Clearview and Veterans, with ample parking in front. The service is always wonderful, the interior is neat and clean. They have been around for years (though at this location only a couple of years), and it shows how they have stayed in business. They are amazing.

Thuy D.

Yelp
I ordered an avocado smoothie but the drink tasted more like milk with lack of avocado. The drink was not sweet at all so I asked the lady who made it and she said she put more avocado in it which didn't seem to be true whatsoever. I asked to talk with the owner regarding this circumstance but the lady who made me drink refused to do so. She offered me a refund for my drink but I declined. I wanted to inform the owner about what happened and what they could've done to prevent something like this from happening again. Please accept my humble recommendation. LEARN TO MAKE SMOOTHIE AGAIN!!!

Ron B.

Yelp
My son picked up an expensive traditional Vietnamese Cake" for Thanksgiving desert. The cake had NO taste and all agreed it was nothing short of terrible. The consensus was the business put out more product for the holiday with not quality controls. Luckily, we had other deserts to compensate for the disaster. Never again.

Larissa K.

Yelp
Almond cake is the worst cake that I bought for $65 . We threw away the cake because the cake tasted bad, dry and was too sweet. It's not worth your money. Everything is overpriced in this bakery.

Stephanie G.

Yelp
My family always buys cakes from here for all occasions but this past year it's been awful. I'm not sure if it's the whole covid/hurricane relapse but it's not it. The texture itself was so dry,the icing didn't help at all it was so stiff. The fruits on top didn't have any glaze and looked dry. Overall my family won't be buying from here again because it's not meeting expectations anymore. I had ordered a tiramisu slice and even that was awful. It wasn't even cool it was room temperature and dry. The girl working gave bad service as well. While we waited for the cake to be boxed up,we looked over the first case of pastries and were interrupted rudely"anything else " as if we were keeping her from doing something. She really was inpatient.Really disappointed in how this business changed. The Pandan cake we bought a couples weeks back in May was also awful, you could tell it was still defrosting due to the water on the cake board.

Lindsey B.

Yelp
Love this place! I ordered takeout from there about a month ago and the food was delicious and the employee was so patient and helpful with me! When I got into the store, she offered for me to even wait in the car and she would let me know when it was ready. Dinner and Pastries were delicious!

Cindy T.

Yelp
Finding vegetables and lighter bites in NOLA is a challenge. I stopped on the way to the airport since Vietnamese food has French influences. The prices are great and friendly service. The grilled chicken vermicelli bowl was great and I added extra veggies. I wish it had Thai basil and some mint but other than that it had a good amount of veggies. The fish sauce was okay needed more fish flavor and some lime but there was hot sauce to add more flavor. The shrimp Bahn mi was flavored well and the bread was the right amount of crunch. I was wanting to try the shrimp on sugar cane but they didn't have it. They had amazing looking desserts but I did not have room to try them.

Jessica T.

Yelp
I've never eaten anything other than dessert here, but desserts are definitely what they excel at. I've tried their fruit tarts, mocha cake, fruit topped cake and king cake. Their king cake may not be my all time favorite but it's pretty darn good! I called them on my way home from work earlier tonight and was thrilled to find out that they had cinnamon, cream cheese and Bavarian cream king cakes all in stock. I got the Bavarian cream and it was moist, fluffy, fresh and not overly sweet. There was icing on top as well as the traditional king cake sugar. It was so good that I didn't even need to microwave it, and I had three slices all on my own before I made myself close the box and put it in the fridge. Chez Pierre opens early in the morning and closes late at 10 PM, so I'll keep that in mind the next time I need a dessert fix!
