"Sporting his checked shirt and blue apron, Rémi officiates behind what was likely the counter of this former betting shop, which has been turned into a cosy little bistro. On the menu for lunch today: a tasty chicken liver terrine; redfish bream with its delicious fumet; poached peach, financier and creamy house-made vanilla ice cream. One of the major draws is the restaurant's friendly atmosphere. Photos of the chef and his past co-workers adorn the walls, and a blackboard features the day's set menus. Customers collect their wine from the wine cellar, whether to accompany their meal here or to take home. Welcome to Rémi's!" - Michelin Inspector
We are new in town and had our first dinner with the wonderful people at Chez Remi. Our waiter was outstanding gave us a tour of their wine cellar and was helpful with our broken French. Remi was very generous with his time and a quite colorful and charming host/chef. We will be back!

Chef Remi is a sauce genius. I love the menu here. 2 starters - no choice. 1 main and you get to choose from 3 or 4 things. You can add cheese or dessert. I wouldn’t miss the chocolate dessert…not ever. They will pair wines for you or they have a well curated cellar you can enjoy a bottle. One of the things I like most is that Chef usually has a couple of very traditional French dishes that aren’t commonly at restaurants. Back to the sauces. I think OMG was heard at the table related to fish and butter sauce.
Chef Remi is not downtown. We took the bus there and the tram back. We usually walk off our meal, but….
Remi has the pedigree and we go as often as we can.

Great evening at this place, would give 6 stars if there would be a vegetarian main dish option

French restaurant in Angers :). No vegan options in menu but I was never disappointed by the chef surprise option - yes I'm always asking for surprise. Lots of natural wines.

This is a little gem. All dishes served were smart, well balanced and full of flavours. Big crush on the riz de veau with langoustine which I found amazing. The pistachio financier are a killer as well. Makes you feel like eating in France every day.... well you are in France but you really feel the warmth and the culture.
