Chez Ric et Fer - Chambres d'hôtes de style - Tables d'hôtes - Bed and Breakfast

My fiance and I were riding the local racetrack and we stayed at this gem of a B&B for two nights. As most other reviews have mentioned already, the owners are exceptionally friendly people. The cats are friendly as well. Breakfast was freshly toasted bread, croissants, juice, yoghurt, cheese, eggs. The hostess also joined us at the table during breakfast, and it's like you're talking with friends you've known for a long time. The house is a bit older, but it adds to the charm. We will definitely come here again

An excellent first night of our holiday. Ric and Fer are delightful and the accommodation is perfect. Comfortable bed, interesting decoration (wonderful photos), good WiFi and a very good breakfast. The walk around the walls of the chateau was a great bonus. I highly recommend this B and B.

I stayed with Richard and Fernanda for 10 days over the 2024 Christmas holiday. The stay was memorable. They opened their home to me. I was able to come and go based on my schedule because I was given the key to the front door. The room was large, clean and well heated. The attached bathroom facilities were very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was provided and adapted to my tastes, likes and schedule. Something I greatly appreciated. Last, but certainly not least, I enjoyed my breakfast conversations with Richard and Fernanda. They are charming folks and great hosts. I recommend their B&B without reservation. This is the best bed and breakfast that we have ever been to! The owners, Ric and Fern and two amazing and lovely people who make the experience all the better. They speak excellent English which is very helpful when you find it difficult to learn your French! The house is adorable with clean and comfortable rooms. The rooms have really comfortable beds and are very well decorated with modern style furnishings. Each room has a private bathroom just located next to the bedroom. Breakfasts in the morning are excellent with fresh bread, croissants, eggs, and coffee. Conversation with the owners over breakfast was always lovely and they helped us find new places to go and great places to eat (including our best meal of the trip). Highly recommend staying here, especially because it is within walking distance of some amazing castle ruins.

We arrived to a very warm welcome from lovely Fernanda who had upgraded us to the big room and helped us move all our wine purchases into the cool hall. As other reviewers have mentioned, the decor is very chic and great fun and Richard & Fernanda are lovely warm, friendly folk who instantly make you feel at home. There were books in the room and a very comfy bed and lots of chairs and great lighting. It was very hot when we stayed but a very good fan was thoughtfully provided and a good through draught made it totally bearable. Coucy le Chateau is one of those terrific little French towns full of amazing history and a great place to visit. Chez Ric et Fer is a local gem and we would love to return sometime soon.

This was our first stay at Chez Ric et Fer and it couldn't have been more pleasant. Our hosts were very welcoming and very communicative prior to our stay.||||There 3 lovely and slightly quirky few B&B rooms, each with their own character. All were very clean and comfortable, with ensuite, and all of a good size.||||Breakfast was outside and was more than enough, including fresh fruit from our hosts garden no less!||||It looks like we had the best accommodation in our group - and perhaps the best in the town - as others stayed at the hotel Belle Vue and their experience could not have been further from our own sadly.

This homey little BnB is an excellent find. Ric and Fer are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable hosts. Our room was comfortable and cool despite the heat, and Fer served a tasty breakfast in the garden before we left to explore the castle. Coucy Le Chateau is off the beaten track but well worth a visit, both for the medieval. Ashley ruins and just to experience a small French ville. Highest recommendation.

Stayed here for 2 nights and it was exactly what was wanted - the owners were friendly, the room and ensuite were large and nicely presented. Breakfast was served in the pretty garden and was just right - a mixture of the normal (croissants, yoghurt, juice, coffee etc) plus fruit from their garden and homemade jam. Parking right outside and in a pretty french village. Would definitely stay again. (Limited food options for the evening locally - a reasonable pizza place and a "difficult" restaurant in the hotel)
