It was our best lunch during our 2 weeks visit on La Réunion. Authentic creole food, superb location, very friendly stuff and cool music. Highly recommended!

Do yourself a favor and go eat at Chez TiFred, if visiting the area! This is traditional authentic home cooking, absolutely delicious! The hosts were extremely welcoming and we had a lovely lovely evening. The civet de poulet delivered the best cooked and most delicious chicken I can remember. Papaya creme brûlée was perfectly executed as well. And if you like it spicy, the cook does great things with his salsa. Definitely recommend!

Went for Monday dinner. Not so busy, we called ahead of time and got in at 7:30 pm (opens at 7 pm) and we’re seated right away. It’s buffet style and the order is based on who is seated first. Don’t worry about going last, there’s plenty to go around, including seconds! Maybe more if that’s your jam. Great food - really local experience. We had chicken, pork, and fish cari all heated over wood fire; and served with lentils and greens (chou chou). Although, I think the menu changes everyday. We were told that if we wanted a specific local creole dish, we can call ahead and let the chef know - how nice! It’s like really good home cooking with outdoor dining in someone’s shed - brings the islands vibes and bring your bug spray! Service is also top notch - really nice, fast and all smiles. Make sure to stop by if you’re a tourist (can’t comment for locals as I’m a visitor myself). It’s worth it:)

Food was delicious, the atmosphere very special and nice. Service was also friendly. However, value for money does not really fit, as prices are very or to high from our point of view.

One word: magnifique! Friendly people with fantastic food and some musical intermezzo. Buffet for main course with big pots of the tastiest local dishes. Fantastic banana flambee to finish it off
