The 20 Best LA Bars With Activities

"Chi Chi is as ridiculous as it is fun. Equal parts nightclub, casino, and grownup Chuck E. Cheese, this neon-lit bar in Koreatown is home to virtual drinking games where you can win more than just a debilitating hangover. Each table is equipped with a tablet that lets you chat with neighboring parties and wager beers and soju over basic games of skill and chance. Whichever table loses the game pays for the bottle, but there’s a good chance the winners will share it with you out of pity. If high-stakes wagers aren’t your thing, you can also win prizes for your table, like ice cream or various bar foods like chicken wings, tteokbokki, and (previously frozen) mozzarella sticks." - brant cox, sylvio martins, nikko duren

Amazing Dining Experience! I recently dined at Chi Chi LA and was absolutely impressed by the whole experience! The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. The food was exceptional—every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The ricecake was cooked to perfection, and the was simply divine. The portion sizes were generous, and the ingredients tasted high-quality. What truly stood out was the outstanding service. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Five stars without a doubt!

I really enjoyed my time here. The staff treated me very well and made me feel welcome. The service was excellent, and everything exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this place.

Coming here is always a great option for a weekend night/late night fun!! Chi Chi has been a longtime Koreatown favorite of ours when we want to have a fun night full of plenty of Soju, great vibes, and yummy Korean gastropub-style food to enjoy! There can often be a wait for a table - especially on a weekend night, but the patio space in the back has plenty of space for parties that are waiting for a table and also a bar - if you want to get the fun started in the form of drinks! Most ordering at the tables themselves are done through the tablets, which also have games you can play against other tables if you so desire - just be careful about not losing too much money!! (The losing table pays for the winning table to get a Soju bottle!) I always have a blast here with some Chicken Karaage, Corn Cheese, and of course Soju!! I highly recommend for a fun night out in Koreatown!

Google
Had a really great time, the food definitely hit the spot! The service is great as well, staff were very prompt with bringing orders pretty much as soon as they went through the tablet.

Google
Really fun Korean gastropub with great food and drinks! The atmosphere is lively but cozy, and the little arcade games make it extra cute and unique. Staff are super friendly and attentive — perfect spot to hang out with friends or go for a casual night out.

Super fun! The atmosphere is very lively and upbeat. The ability to chat with other tables is super cute, too. Would come back again!

Google
It was my friend and I’s first time going to chi chi. Such great food and vibes! We had the rose seafood cream pasta, cheesy corn, and a few beers. Everything was tasty and perfect for sharing! The service was great and the atmosphere was sooo fun. Definitely a go-to for a casual night out with a group of friends!

Google
Chi chi is always a good time because every table has a tablet attached to them and you can play mini games with other parties and win drinks as prizes. It’s also really convenient because you can order from the tablet and place other requests. They also have a fairly large patio that can be used as a waiting area while you’re waiting for your table. Overall really fun!

Yelp
I don't remember my first time here. ________________________ Top 3's: - Addictive tablet drinking games - Super high energy - Outdoor patio area Low 3's: - Small food portions - Tight restrooms - Gets super packed Overall: 4.6 Ambiance: 4.8 | Service: 4.5 | Value: 4.4 ________________________ Just remind yourself that you're not going to remember a thing when go here. This place is a trip, and my first time definitely won't be my last. I suggest getting here early to secure a table, as it gets packed fast on busy Friday nights. The culture is straightforward: drink, eat, and then drink again. There's a patio outside where the staff will. Have you wait until your table's ready. You are still not safe out here, though, they have a bar out there, so you might not even remember waiting. There's claw machines inside, but the real wildcard is the gambling games on their tablets at the tables. You can buy drinks against other tables and either win, free shots or end up with a massive tap to pay off at the end. Super addicting and chaotic in the best way possible. The loud K-pop and upbeat energy such a tone here. The food is typical bar, food, and portions aren't that wowing. Don't expect to get full here. Restrooms are small and always busy. I will make the bet with anyone that you will run into a Vivian or Kevin Nguyen here, guaranteed.

Yelp
A super fun spot to go with friends. Lots of flashing lights and plenty of soju, basically a rave without the rave. The crowd's full of ABGs and ABBs, and the energy stays high all night. The outdoor area is cool with beer pong and soju pong tables, perfect for playing games with friends or even other groups. The food is surprisingly decent for a bar and fairly priced. Service: Fun and quick, fits the party vibe Food/Drinks: Good bar food, lots of soju options, prices are fair Ambiance: Flashing lights, loud energy, great outdoor setup with games 9/10 A lively night spot with good drinks, fun games, and nonstop energy

Yelp
A Korean pocha/pub with a super unique concept of tablets at each table to chat and play games against other tables. Win a game against another table, and win a free drink! If you lose, you pay for their drink/bottle! Gets busy around 10pm. Good food, vibes, and drinks! You are required to order at least $30 before having access to games and chat. Drinks are super pricey so beware when you lose the game. One bottle of soju is almost $20! - mala teokbeokki: 8.9/10. Delicious!!! Came out hot and fresh with plenty of toppings. I love the chewy, thick, clear glass noodles that come with this. - ramen: 6.0/10. Cheap and what you would expect. Shin ramen or something similar. Thankfully, not too overpriced for what it is. -bossam: 6.5/10. Meh. Wouldn't recommend getting this hear. Bland and not enough ban chan/side dishes to pair with it. -watermelon: 9.0/10. Insanely expensive but delicious watermelon. They sprinkle injeolmi/soybean powder on top which gives it so much flavor. Addicting.

Yelp
This place is more of a chill night out with friends. The wait does get pretty long on the weekends so if you come early you can get seated quickly. They also do have an outside patio where they have a bar while you wait to be seated. It's like gambling with alcohol definitely worth the experience. Food here is also decent!
google avatar

Yelp
I came here around 9:30 on a Saturday night with friends and it was so lively and busy inside. The hostess had us wait on the back patio for about 10 minutes until we were seated inside. There's a $30 order minimum to be able to play the games on the table screen. To meet the minimum and play games, we ordered the soju watermelon cocktail and yuzu soju cocktail. The soju watermelon cocktail was big and the flavor was fine. I'm just not a big fan of watermelon. I preferred the yuzu cocktail which was sweet and refreshing. I think the flavored soju cocktails in the glass are the way to go! On the table screen, there's a live chat and multiple game options. Each table can play games with each other. The winning table gets the wagered drink for $1 and the losing table has the buy the winning table's drink. I love this concept and it was very fun but the games were confusing at times. We lost 3 rounds in a row, but I'd come again for a late night drinking session and for fun and games!

Yelp
OH LORDD CHICHIs man o man this is the best time ever. We came on a Fri night and that shit was POPPIN!! I lwk be recommending all my friends to come here. Just like you see on tiktok and shi, you can play games with other tables to get free drinks!! Aint that awesome? In the end we ended up with like 4 free bottles of soju that we couldnt even finish! The chat on screen is for the entire restaurant and you can mingle with people. Its so funny. That night, the staff came around with a board spinning thing where you can only win (candy or free soju) and i shit u not we got like 2-3 free bottles. Im comin back here for the vibes. FOOD: Price: It can be expensive if you SUCK at games OK but no one really comes here for the food right? I lowkey dont even remember how it tasted but I would still say its a 4/5. The cheeese pull goes crazy though. GREAT restaurant for pregaming
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
Lots of fun and great food/snack options! You mostly order on the kiosk and hardly interact with the servers/workers. The Photo Booth and crane machines are very cute. A great place to celebrate something in a big group. Only downside is the prices! $18.99 for one bottle of soju is kind of insane. Go pregame at Hmart with a $7 bottle first

Yelp
Ok I've seen this place all over social media and me and my friends decided to check it out! We went on a Friday night for a group of 8 so we made an online reservation. You can't make a reservation for parties less than 6 or more than 11 lol. We showed up around 9 and it was pretty empty, I think the crowd rolls in near midnight. Not much parking so I recommend ubering. The girls bathroom was clean when I went. Very loud music. It's a fun place and good for medium sized friend groups. Since we had 8 people they just combined 2 tables and gave us 2 iPads to play games lol. You can play games by accepting invites to wagers for drinks! It just adds up if you keep losing though LOL. We played about 10 games. Honestly the food was mid though... we got their kimchi fried rice, fried chicken, and multiple fries and onion rings to share. Typical Korean bar food, nothing to rave about. At least when we went, it was $45 per person which isn't bad!

Yelp
I recently checked out Chi Chi during a venture into K Town with a friend. I will say that off the bat this place is very interesting. They seem to have a variety of specials including ladies night if the party is all women (50% off). The tables are also fairly high tech with the ability to order and play games when utilizing the ubiquitous tablets at each one. I also think tables can compete each other and buy drinks for each other? Seems like it'd be fun on a busy night. On to the food! We ended up going with the seafood pancake, steamed egg, and chicken karaage. The chicken was crispy and flavorful with the accompanying mayo providing a nice semi sweet tang. The seafood pancake had a solid amount of seafood although I wish it was a bit crispier. The steamed egg was what you'd expect. Fluffy texture and moist, just what we wanted. Overall I enjoyed the food. We went on a Thursday evening, but I get the sense that this spot is packed and bumping on weekends which might be the ideal time if you're looking for late night/party vibes. Otherwise this a solid addition to the amount of crispy, salty, fatty Korean food available in the area.

Yelp
Looking for a fun night out with friends? This spot is just the place! My friends and I came here around 5-5:30pm (group of 7) and we were able to get seated right away. The place picked up around 7pm so I recommend coming here early. We ordered some food to share like toppogi, and chicken which was delicious. This place is known for their games that's set up on each table. You get to play against other tables and the winner gets drinks and the loser pays for the drinks. It's so much fun interacting with each other especially in a group setting. I highly recommend coming here!

Yelp
This place is sick. Great place to have drinks and bites. One of the biggest selling factor, is that you can wager bottles of alcohol against other tables. So if you're into gambling or super competitive, you will have a great time. Food was also pretty good, especially after knocking back a couple of drinks. Not the cheapest, but good to split. They also give you plastic coins where you can play this time stopping game. (not easy) We had a party of 7 and got here super early, like right when they opened. Tables quickly got filled around 730ish and this was on a Saturday night. Parking can be found on the street.

Yelp
Cool going-out concept for a night of fun eating and/or drinking with friends. Every table is set up with a tablet that features games. You can play games at your own table, or you can challenge other tables in those games and bet food and drinks. I actually love this idea and I don't think there's a spot like it in SF. Very busy when we went but were were able to score a table after a short wait. Multi level space and we were sat upstairs. Very lively and energetic. Didn't order food, as we came from a dinner, but we did order a fair amount of drinks. Menu includes soju, beer, rice wine, soju cocktails, and soft drinks. Mostly played games amongst ourselves but did challenge a couple tables and won some, lost some. The one thing I didn't like though was that the prices were grossly inflated. Usually I'd pay $14 for a green-type bottle of soju but they were charging $18-19. Good on them though cuz the place was slammed. Really cool venue to hang with friends and even meet new people.

Yelp

Yelp
We came on a Friday night around 10pm. Upon entering, we put our name down and went to the back to wait. Be prepared to wait. Good thing is you can order beer and drinks in the back and there's tables and heaters outside for colder days. The drinks were flowing the vibes were vibin. When we got to our table, we ordered couple drinks. On the end of the table, there is an iPad that you can play games against other tables! If you beat them they pay for your drinks haha. Also periodically there will be free games that everyone plays. The winner wins the prize! Also, there's auctions where you can name ur price and whoever pays the highest gets that item for their price. The iPads are so fun and the games entertained us all night. Recommend for a fun night out to meet people. Price was pretty standard and the food wasn't too memorable. Maybe we had too much to drink haha.....

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday around 8pm no wait to be seated. Inside was cool looking chairs a bit uncomfortable but they give you a cushion. Concept was interesting you order in the tablet and could play games with other tables to win items or pay for someone's tab. Portions shareable. Restroom available. Ordered the bulgogi sliders it was good. The spicy pork belly (rice was additional price) it was spicy but good. Pulled pork order heavy but okay tasting. Things were in the oiler side. Overall, expensive price to taste it was ok nothing stood out to me taste wise.

Yelp
Chi Chi is a Korean pocha restaurant and bar located in Koreatown. We had a party of five and were told it would be about an hour wait. We were brought to the back of the restaurant where there was an outdoor patio that had tables while you waited and of course sold drinks. Just don't forget to listen to your name being called. We ordered a bunch of food but my favorites were the deep fried corn, the wings, and the tteokbokki. The deep fried corn was amazing and we'd never had anything like it. They had a fun and unique feature where you can wager bottles of beer and soju and play games with other tables at the restaurant. We actually played rock paper scissors with another table and won a bottle of soju! Chi Chi is such a good time! It had moments where it felt like a nightclub with the large groups and the loud noises/music. It has such fun vibes and was lively and energetic. I felt alive while at the restaurant and had a blast here.

Yelp
First timer at this pocha for my friends birthday! We came in a group of 16 and were seated on the top level. As a group, we ordered two of each dish: Fish Cake Soup, "Young Dabang" Plain Tteobokki, Fried Sampler, and Cheese Over Spicy Chicken. The food was honestly nothing crazy, but great for small bites. We were honestly there for the drinks and concept games on the tablet! Along with the menu being on a tablet, you can chat with other tables and play games for drinks! What we didn't realize and wish we were told was that if we win drinks, we pay a fee of $1 for it so it's not completely "free". Be aware once you lose a game against another table, your table is charged and the drink is immediately brought out to them. Double check the drinks you are playing for so you don't end up overspending when you lose! Since we were located in the top floor, there was designated servers so our service was quick. Parking is valet next to the restaurant for $5, but if they catch you leaving to a different area and coming back for your car, it'll turn to $10 :/ Great pocha concept for a fun night that can easily get dangerous!
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
Chi chi is a great late night drinking experience with a big group of friends! My friends and I got the chicken karage($14) and it was great bar food to go with the soju. The tables next to us were friendly and gave us their extra drinks. It's definitely fun when you're drinking but the drinks are expensive so I wouldn't get too hooked on playing games then having to pay for the drinks. Definitely make sure you win! Haha I really recommend this place for great food, drinks, and good vibes.

Yelp
Great spot to hang with friends and play some games! We went here on a Thursday night and luckily got seated right away. The service was prompt and the drinks were strong! It's a fun atmosphere to play games against other tables and bet on drinks. Everyone is super friendly and we all had a fun time!

Yelp
Just wanted to write an update... After posting my review, the male server I mentioned in the post, messaged me on yelp asking me what was wrong with telling us how to use the table. As I mentioned in my first review, it should've been explained in the beginning. Assuming your customers know how to navigate the menu on the iPad is ridiculous. He includes this message exactly "I really just don't get it. Plus you asked for lemons and I gave you guys cut lemons. Please stop making things up. All we said was can you please give us a feed back?" I would post a picture of our messages but I'm not sure if that is against Yelp's policies and don't want it taken down. First of all, it wasn't even him that gave us the lemons. It was the female server and they were not cut lemons. She gave us the full lemons. No knife or anything for us to cut it ourselves at least. Our friend used a soju bottle cap to cut a hole in the lemon to squeeze out juice. I attached a screenshot of a video we took that night. It obviously wasn't cut and you can see the hole we cut out OURSELVES at the top of the lemon. Why would I make this up? It is our first time here and this is how they treated us. Of course I am going to write a review on my experience. I don't gain anything from writing this. To accuse a customer of making things up on their review is so RUDE. Messaging me again on the side like this is so unprofessional as a business. The female employee didn't even ask for feedback properly. She didn't even use the word feedback when she ran after us outside. I said everything I said here as a response message and it was read and not replied to. I hope they seriously fix their attitude and customer service.

Yelp
Da best! They were cute cause they really check ID here. All staffs were were friendly when I asked questions. Plus their approaches for deals MON- THURS are killers. I definitely plan to come back!

Yelp
This place's social/drinking model aspect is genius!! They served the drinks super fast, and all their fries were good from the honey butter to sweet potato fries. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
I can confidently say it's a fantastic spot to check out if you're craving modern Korean fusion with a fun vibe. The atmosphere at Chi Chi is lively, trendy, and has that cool, upscale K-town energy.. The interior is stylish, with dim lighting, sleep decor, and comfortable seating - perfect for both casual hangouts and special occassions. The staff was friendly which I appreciated.. As for the food, it's a great mix of Korean staples with a unique twist. I started with the Shrimp Pasta, and it was just alright. A little to salty for my liking. The deep fried squid tasted like it was bought from the frozen section of the grocery store. Although the food itself wasn't the best, the vibes and the drinks is what really carried the establishment. Overall, it's a cute and fun place to go to get together with friends and really let go and have fun in the online room chat and play games to win free alcohol.

Yelp
This place is for da girls!!! Mala rose tteokbokkk was fire and so chewy and yum and chicken wings were crispy as well. Cute vibes inside

Yelp
SO MUCH FUN!! i had friends visiting from out of town & we decided to go here for a night out, it was a saturday night and we waited nearly 2 hours just to get seated so be prepared for a LOOONG wait, but theres a back patio that is the designated waiting area and theres a bar, seating, and a beer pong table where you rent balls for $20 and you get your $20 back when you return the balls, there's also lots of surrounding stores to walk around while we waited & mini claw machines / a photobooth inside once seated, each table has a device that allows you to play minigames and wager bottles / food & you can even chat with other people throughout the entire place each bottle you purchase you receive a token where you can then play a game with your server to win more bottles / food sometimes theres games that the entire place plays with each other for free prizes we ordered food when we got in honey and butter fries were SOOOOO good!!! kimchi fried rice was also really good but i think it was because we were all so drunk service was great our bottles came out in a timely manner & it's nice how easy to befriend other tables are after playing a game together!! will definitely be returning!

Yelp
Teokbokki was yummy!!!!!!! :) Honey butter fries rock, get em. I would come back again to play games!!!

Yelp
If you're looking to gamble, get wasted, and make some enemies, Chi Chi is for you! First off. It's a dimly lit place with led lighting. Ambiance is fun and loud. They have tablets where you can order off of and you can play games against people to get free alcohol! Be warned, if you have a gambling addiction or you're overly competitive, this place can be dangerous as you might have to pay more than you ordered because of other people. I honestly enjoy Chi Chi, but I wouldn't come here for food. Out of all the Korean spots, the food is so so. Nothing special unfortunately. Service is chill. They know the protocol and how to handle people getting drunk. No vaping inside the restaurant though. The restroom is a bit of a tight squeeze though to be honest. Favorite part of Chi Chi, is that there's a back patio with string lights and led signs, which I love, so if you wanna get some air, you can go back there. Definitely a fun place to go to with your alcoholic friends!

Yelp
Chi Chi is a chill pocha spot to come with friends during the night. You can order food and drinks while playing online games with the other customers there. Their tteok-bokki was really delicious and their fried chicken was not bad. I recommend coming later on at night because that's when it starts to get more fun and lively. We came at the same time an event was being held, so we didn't get to enjoy the full experience. Overall, this is a fun place to catch up with friends and socialize with new people.

Great service, good vibes, tasty food. This is a great spot for late night food and drinks. Love that it's walking distance from my house.

Yelp
Came on a Friday night around 6, and there were a few tables occupied by other parties. But by the time we left, every table was packed. Chi Chi has a fun restaurant/bar/pub feel. The lighting was dark with kpop music videos being projected on one of the walls, while what we could only describe as club music played on the sound system. Each table has a tablet that you can order from, and it's a little confusing to navigate at first. Check out each category and know that some of them have multiple pages to swipe through. Just means they have a lot of options, which is a plus in my book! Everything we ordered was brought out pretty quickly, and even though they weren't waiting our table, the staff answered any questions we had. We got the cheese tteokbokki, chicken wings, and honey butter fries. I really liked the honey butter fries. They gave a good amount of seasoning. Overall it's a fun experience, and I'm sure I'll be back again sometime soon!

Yelp
The food was good, especially the kimchi pancake. This is perfect for friends for a fun night out. Good vibes and fast service.

Yelp
SO FUN. They open at 7 and start filling up around 8 so make a reservation if you have a large party! So many food options, and the whole gaming aspect makes it a unique one of a kind place. Definitely coming back, the perfect birthday first stop on an LA night out!

Yelp
Kimchi pork belly/tofu was very good. Plenty of protein, and pork belly was meaty (not fatty cheap cuts covered with sauce). Wednesday pretty chill, not many folks, but the K-pop in the background kept it lively. The bar's concept and screen at the table is interesting - looks like it encourages people to meet one another and drink. Maybe a push for the younger folks to be more social? Back in the day, we'd just grab a bottle and join another table. I'm old now, so now I have a habit of starting sentences with back in the day.

Yelp
If you're looking for a fun pocha spot in K-town, Chi Chi is the move. The vibe here is immaculate--dim lighting, great music, and just the right amount of chaos to make it feel like a true Korean night out. The fried chicken skin is a must. Like, if you come here and don't order it, what are you even doing? Super crispy, perfectly seasoned, and pairs dangerously well with soju. Everything else we tried was solid too--flavor-packed, great portions, and exactly what you want when you're drinking. Speaking of drinking, this place makes it way too easy to go overboard. They have tablets where you can play games and even chat with other tables, which is honestly genius. A few rounds of soju and suddenly you're making new best friends across the room. Service was quick, prices were fair, and the whole experience was just fun. Whether you're starting the night or ending it, Chi Chi delivers. Pro tip: Come with a group and be ready to stay longer than you planned.

Yelp
Food was great, vibes were amazing and service was a 10/10. At first, expected it to be just all hype from social media but chi chi lives up to the hype! Shout out to our amazing server Dylan for giving us the best first time experience for my brother's bday celebration. We will def be back!

Solid pocha, got games, decent food, and the rowdy ambiance is there on the weekends. Service is good. Overall, another solid pocha

Yelp
Food is alright but a great place to go to have some drinks and fun with your friends! Really good vibes and loud, upbeat music. Service is usually good but can sometimes be slow. I love that you can play games for drinks across different tables! Good way to mingle and meet people
