The 20 Best LA Bars With Activities

"Chi Chi is as ridiculous as it is fun. Equal parts nightclub, casino, and grownup Chuck E. Cheese, this neon-lit bar in Koreatown is home to virtual drinking games where you can win more than just a debilitating hangover. Each table is equipped with a tablet that lets you chat with neighboring parties and wager beers and soju over basic games of skill and chance. Whichever table loses the game pays for the bottle, but there’s a good chance the winners will share it with you out of pity. If high-stakes wagers aren’t your thing, you can also win prizes for your table, like ice cream or various bar foods like chicken wings, tteokbokki, and (previously frozen) mozzarella sticks." - brant cox, sylvio martins, nikko duren

Amazing Dining Experience! I recently dined at Chi Chi LA and was absolutely impressed by the whole experience! The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. The food was exceptional—every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The ricecake was cooked to perfection, and the was simply divine. The portion sizes were generous, and the ingredients tasted high-quality. What truly stood out was the outstanding service. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Five stars without a doubt!

Super fun! The atmosphere is very lively and upbeat. The ability to chat with other tables is super cute, too. Would come back again!

Google
Chi Chi is such a fun spot in Koreatown! The wait can be long on weekends, but it’s totally worth it. The interactive tablets make the experience fun - you can chat with other tables, play drinking games, and even join all-restaurant competitions (where I ended up winning a prize!). Their drinks are good, though on the pricier side, but the food is amazing. Definitely try the tteokbokki and bulgogi sliders. Great vibe, great energy, and a super unique experience.

This restaurant has such a cool concept. It’s a great place to drink with friends and play games. Me and my friends had such a great time!

Google
I love the vibes of having a tablet at your table! You can play drinking games just at your table or challenge other tables to games. If you win, you get a drink for $1 and the other table has to pay for it! We came on a Sunday and there’s a parking lot in the back that was free and had lots of parking. At 7pm we were the only table but by 9:30 there were 4 other tables, though no one else wanted to play games with us :(

Visiting here from vegas. It is a perfect atmosphere to come by with your friends and get wasted! They have tons of games that you can play with other tables, so it is an ideal place to meet new people!

My friend and I visited this place during the day to try the menu at YoungDabang(a.k.a 청년다방). The Brisket Tteokbokki and Butter Garlic Fries were delicious. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was tidy and clean. The green grape and grapefruit ade also perfect for dessert.

If you plan to dine at Chi Chi LA, remember this: Reservation is a must! This place gets incredibly busy on weekends, and it's no wonder why. Chi Chi LA is a restaurant like no other, offering an extraordinary blend of dining and entertainment. The atmosphere on a weekend night is positively vibrant and bustling. The reason? Well, it's all thanks to the special feature at every table – the personal ordering devices. These nifty gadgets aren't just for placing your food orders; they're a gateway to a world of fun and games. Each table has its own ordering device, which not only allows you to select your dishes but also provides a variety of interactive games. You can enjoy mini-games by yourself or challenge other tables. There are even spontaneous group challenges initiated by the restaurant. Plus, there's a chat room where you can strike up conversations with diners at other tables. Now, onto the food. Chi Chi LA offers a tasty menu, though portions are on the smaller side. The flavors are delightful, and I highly recommend trying their flavored Soju cocktails. They come with eye-catching glowing lights and adorable duck decorations that add a cute touch to your dining experience. The only drawback is that engaging in conversation can be a bit challenging due to the continuous sounds of excitement from people playing games all around you. But if you're here for a fun and interactive dining adventure, this might not bother you too much.

Yelp
This place is AMAZING. Talk about dinner and entertainment!!! Bulgogi sliders were to die for, but so was everything else. One of a kind place that I would PAY MONEY FOR

Yelp

Yelp
Chi chi's is a great spot to go to with your friends! The honey butter fries are so good and the chicken wings are flavorful! The price is a little expensive for the portion size compared to other pocha houses so if you're looking for a pocha house that's going to fill you up and give you the most bang for your book, I probably wouldn't recommend this place. This place is known for its games on the ipad where you can play within your table or verse other tables and wager drinks! It's always a good time when my friends and I go!! Def coming back :)

Yelp
Ok I've seen this place all over social media and me and my friends decided to check it out! We went on a Friday night for a group of 8 so we made an online reservation. You can't make a reservation for parties less than 6 or more than 11 lol. We showed up around 9 and it was pretty empty, I think the crowd rolls in near midnight. Not much parking so I recommend ubering. The girls bathroom was clean when I went. Very loud music. It's a fun place and good for medium sized friend groups. Since we had 8 people they just combined 2 tables and gave us 2 iPads to play games lol. You can play games by accepting invites to wagers for drinks! It just adds up if you keep losing though LOL. We played about 10 games. Honestly the food was mid though... we got their kimchi fried rice, fried chicken, and multiple fries and onion rings to share. Typical Korean bar food, nothing to rave about. At least when we went, it was $45 per person which isn't bad!

Yelp
I recently checked out Chi Chi during a venture into K Town with a friend. I will say that off the bat this place is very interesting. They seem to have a variety of specials including ladies night if the party is all women (50% off). The tables are also fairly high tech with the ability to order and play games when utilizing the ubiquitous tablets at each one. I also think tables can compete each other and buy drinks for each other? Seems like it'd be fun on a busy night. On to the food! We ended up going with the seafood pancake, steamed egg, and chicken karaage. The chicken was crispy and flavorful with the accompanying mayo providing a nice semi sweet tang. The seafood pancake had a solid amount of seafood although I wish it was a bit crispier. The steamed egg was what you'd expect. Fluffy texture and moist, just what we wanted. Overall I enjoyed the food. We went on a Thursday evening, but I get the sense that this spot is packed and bumping on weekends which might be the ideal time if you're looking for late night/party vibes. Otherwise this a solid addition to the amount of crispy, salty, fatty Korean food available in the area.

Yelp
Looking for a fun night out with friends? This spot is just the place! My friends and I came here around 5-5:30pm (group of 7) and we were able to get seated right away. The place picked up around 7pm so I recommend coming here early. We ordered some food to share like toppogi, and chicken which was delicious. This place is known for their games that's set up on each table. You get to play against other tables and the winner gets drinks and the loser pays for the drinks. It's so much fun interacting with each other especially in a group setting. I highly recommend coming here!

Yelp
This place is sick. Great place to have drinks and bites. One of the biggest selling factor, is that you can wager bottles of alcohol against other tables. So if you're into gambling or super competitive, you will have a great time. Food was also pretty good, especially after knocking back a couple of drinks. Not the cheapest, but good to split. They also give you plastic coins where you can play this time stopping game. (not easy) We had a party of 7 and got here super early, like right when they opened. Tables quickly got filled around 730ish and this was on a Saturday night. Parking can be found on the street.

Yelp
We came on a Friday night around 10pm. Upon entering, we put our name down and went to the back to wait. Be prepared to wait. Good thing is you can order beer and drinks in the back and there's tables and heaters outside for colder days. The drinks were flowing the vibes were vibin. When we got to our table, we ordered couple drinks. On the end of the table, there is an iPad that you can play games against other tables! If you beat them they pay for your drinks haha. Also periodically there will be free games that everyone plays. The winner wins the prize! Also, there's auctions where you can name ur price and whoever pays the highest gets that item for their price. The iPads are so fun and the games entertained us all night. Recommend for a fun night out to meet people. Price was pretty standard and the food wasn't too memorable. Maybe we had too much to drink haha.....

Yelp
Great place to hang out with friends. There's fun games and delicious food. Get the soju and mozzarella sticks here! Perfect place to hang out!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday around 8pm no wait to be seated. Inside was cool looking chairs a bit uncomfortable but they give you a cushion. Concept was interesting you order in the tablet and could play games with other tables to win items or pay for someone's tab. Portions shareable. Restroom available. Ordered the bulgogi sliders it was good. The spicy pork belly (rice was additional price) it was spicy but good. Pulled pork order heavy but okay tasting. Things were in the oiler side. Overall, expensive price to taste it was ok nothing stood out to me taste wise.

Yelp
Chi Chi is a Korean pocha restaurant and bar located in Koreatown. We had a party of five and were told it would be about an hour wait. We were brought to the back of the restaurant where there was an outdoor patio that had tables while you waited and of course sold drinks. Just don't forget to listen to your name being called. We ordered a bunch of food but my favorites were the deep fried corn, the wings, and the tteokbokki. The deep fried corn was amazing and we'd never had anything like it. They had a fun and unique feature where you can wager bottles of beer and soju and play games with other tables at the restaurant. We actually played rock paper scissors with another table and won a bottle of soju! Chi Chi is such a good time! It had moments where it felt like a nightclub with the large groups and the loud noises/music. It has such fun vibes and was lively and energetic. I felt alive while at the restaurant and had a blast here.

Yelp
First timer at this pocha for my friends birthday! We came in a group of 16 and were seated on the top level. As a group, we ordered two of each dish: Fish Cake Soup, "Young Dabang" Plain Tteobokki, Fried Sampler, and Cheese Over Spicy Chicken. The food was honestly nothing crazy, but great for small bites. We were honestly there for the drinks and concept games on the tablet! Along with the menu being on a tablet, you can chat with other tables and play games for drinks! What we didn't realize and wish we were told was that if we win drinks, we pay a fee of $1 for it so it's not completely "free". Be aware once you lose a game against another table, your table is charged and the drink is immediately brought out to them. Double check the drinks you are playing for so you don't end up overspending when you lose! Since we were located in the top floor, there was designated servers so our service was quick. Parking is valet next to the restaurant for $5, but if they catch you leaving to a different area and coming back for your car, it'll turn to $10 :/ Great pocha concept for a fun night that can easily get dangerous!
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
Chi chi is a great late night drinking experience with a big group of friends! My friends and I got the chicken karage($14) and it was great bar food to go with the soju. The tables next to us were friendly and gave us their extra drinks. It's definitely fun when you're drinking but the drinks are expensive so I wouldn't get too hooked on playing games then having to pay for the drinks. Definitely make sure you win! Haha I really recommend this place for great food, drinks, and good vibes.
google avatar

David T.

Yelp
Chi Chi is a chill pocha spot to come with friends during the night. You can order food and drinks while playing online games with the other customers there. Their tteok-bokki was really delicious and their fried chicken was not bad. I recommend coming later on at night because that's when it starts to get more fun and lively. We came at the same time an event was being held, so we didn't get to enjoy the full experience. Overall, this is a fun place to catch up with friends and socialize with new people.
google avatar

Britt P.

Yelp
Loved my experience here ! Such a fun atmosphere and you can win drinks too ! We definitely be back when we're in LA

Alex T.

Yelp
Chi Chi is a place to be if you're looking to meet someone. It's one of a few places where you can play games and chat with other tables. The action doesn't start until after 10 on most nights, but you can get good happy hour deals from open to 10. I personally didn't try the cocktail, but my friends said they're quite tasty!

Yelp
Just wanted to write an update... After posting my review, the male server I mentioned in the post, messaged me on yelp asking me what was wrong with telling us how to use the table. As I mentioned in my first review, it should've been explained in the beginning. Assuming your customers know how to navigate the menu on the iPad is ridiculous. He includes this message exactly "I really just don't get it. Plus you asked for lemons and I gave you guys cut lemons. Please stop making things up. All we said was can you please give us a feed back?" I would post a picture of our messages but I'm not sure if that is against Yelp's policies and don't want it taken down. First of all, it wasn't even him that gave us the lemons. It was the female server and they were not cut lemons. She gave us the full lemons. No knife or anything for us to cut it ourselves at least. Our friend used a soju bottle cap to cut a hole in the lemon to squeeze out juice. I attached a screenshot of a video we took that night. It obviously wasn't cut and you can see the hole we cut out OURSELVES at the top of the lemon. Why would I make this up? It is our first time here and this is how they treated us. Of course I am going to write a review on my experience. I don't gain anything from writing this. To accuse a customer of making things up on their review is so RUDE. Messaging me again on the side like this is so unprofessional as a business. The female employee didn't even ask for feedback properly. She didn't even use the word feedback when she ran after us outside. I said everything I said here as a response message and it was read and not replied to. I hope they seriously fix their attitude and customer service.
google avatar

Eric L.

Yelp
Really fun spot, but at nearly 20 dollars a bottle, soju here is steep! You should come ready to spend at least 35 dollars a person if you also get food. The prices for everything generally feel like they are 10-15% more expensive than other spots. Honestly, this is a great night out with 2-6 friends and it's truly a unique bar experience. I love the concept, I just wish the prices were a little more friendly.
google avatar

Vivian D.

Yelp
I can confidently say it's a fantastic spot to check out if you're craving modern Korean fusion with a fun vibe. The atmosphere at Chi Chi is lively, trendy, and has that cool, upscale K-town energy.. The interior is stylish, with dim lighting, sleep decor, and comfortable seating - perfect for both casual hangouts and special occassions. The staff was friendly which I appreciated.. As for the food, it's a great mix of Korean staples with a unique twist. I started with the Shrimp Pasta, and it was just alright. A little to salty for my liking. The deep fried squid tasted like it was bought from the frozen section of the grocery store. Although the food itself wasn't the best, the vibes and the drinks is what really carried the establishment. Overall, it's a cute and fun place to go to get together with friends and really let go and have fun in the online room chat and play games to win free alcohol.

Yelp
SO MUCH FUN!! i had friends visiting from out of town & we decided to go here for a night out, it was a saturday night and we waited nearly 2 hours just to get seated so be prepared for a LOOONG wait, but theres a back patio that is the designated waiting area and theres a bar, seating, and a beer pong table where you rent balls for $20 and you get your $20 back when you return the balls, there's also lots of surrounding stores to walk around while we waited & mini claw machines / a photobooth inside once seated, each table has a device that allows you to play minigames and wager bottles / food & you can even chat with other people throughout the entire place each bottle you purchase you receive a token where you can then play a game with your server to win more bottles / food sometimes theres games that the entire place plays with each other for free prizes we ordered food when we got in honey and butter fries were SOOOOO good!!! kimchi fried rice was also really good but i think it was because we were all so drunk service was great our bottles came out in a timely manner & it's nice how easy to befriend other tables are after playing a game together!! will definitely be returning!
google avatar

Megan A.

Yelp
They tell you 30 min wait... and it's actually maybe an hour and a half. We are a party of 7 and a party of 11, 4, 8 went before us!! Not sure if it's just to get us to wait in the outside area or what but not cool at all!! We only got a table after the 4th time checking in. Sometimes fun but so hit or miss. If you're feeling the risk, sure LOL also food is not great
google avatar

Yelp
If you're looking to gamble, get wasted, and make some enemies, Chi Chi is for you! First off. It's a dimly lit place with led lighting. Ambiance is fun and loud. They have tablets where you can order off of and you can play games against people to get free alcohol! Be warned, if you have a gambling addiction or you're overly competitive, this place can be dangerous as you might have to pay more than you ordered because of other people. I honestly enjoy Chi Chi, but I wouldn't come here for food. Out of all the Korean spots, the food is so so. Nothing special unfortunately. Service is chill. They know the protocol and how to handle people getting drunk. No vaping inside the restaurant though. The restroom is a bit of a tight squeeze though to be honest. Favorite part of Chi Chi, is that there's a back patio with string lights and led signs, which I love, so if you wanna get some air, you can go back there. Definitely a fun place to go to with your alcoholic friends!
google avatar

Rebeca K.

Yelp
Good ambiance and food :-) they let us play a song we requested which we appreciate alot. They have photobooth and claw machines which is fun. Also love the idea of playing games to win items. We won caprisun juices!
google avatar

Joyce L.

Yelp
Whenever we cannot decide where to bring our group for a night out or need a place to pregame for a fun night or even looking for a chill place to eat some good food, Chi Chi always got us covered. Outside of just giving the fun bar vibes, their food is so incredible. There are times I have come just to eat, no alcohol needed. Have introduced so many friends to Chi Chi and it's always a hit! Now that I learned about happy hour, I will be stopping by more often ;)
google avatar

Reyna C.

Yelp
The food was BOMB... we had the pork belly kimchi stir fry with tofu, the fried chicken skins & 3 drinks each lol.. the service was super fast & the lil tablet made it easy to order... will definitely come back
google avatar

Sonam K.

Yelp
If you're looking for a fun pocha spot in K-town, Chi Chi is the move. The vibe here is immaculate--dim lighting, great music, and just the right amount of chaos to make it feel like a true Korean night out. The fried chicken skin is a must. Like, if you come here and don't order it, what are you even doing? Super crispy, perfectly seasoned, and pairs dangerously well with soju. Everything else we tried was solid too--flavor-packed, great portions, and exactly what you want when you're drinking. Speaking of drinking, this place makes it way too easy to go overboard. They have tablets where you can play games and even chat with other tables, which is honestly genius. A few rounds of soju and suddenly you're making new best friends across the room. Service was quick, prices were fair, and the whole experience was just fun. Whether you're starting the night or ending it, Chi Chi delivers. Pro tip: Come with a group and be ready to stay longer than you planned.

Yelp
Great service, good vibes, tasty food. This is a great spot for late night food and drinks. Love that it's walking distance from my house.

Yelp
Came on a Friday night around 6, and there were a few tables occupied by other parties. But by the time we left, every table was packed. Chi Chi has a fun restaurant/bar/pub feel. The lighting was dark with kpop music videos being projected on one of the walls, while what we could only describe as club music played on the sound system. Each table has a tablet that you can order from, and it's a little confusing to navigate at first. Check out each category and know that some of them have multiple pages to swipe through. Just means they have a lot of options, which is a plus in my book! Everything we ordered was brought out pretty quickly, and even though they weren't waiting our table, the staff answered any questions we had. We got the cheese tteokbokki, chicken wings, and honey butter fries. I really liked the honey butter fries. They gave a good amount of seasoning. Overall it's a fun experience, and I'm sure I'll be back again sometime soon!

Yelp
This place is so fun!! I had such a good time paying the games and drinking. The service was also so good. I highly rec this place to anyone having a good time in ktown. Definitely loved Dylan and sunny they were so nice.

Yelp
amazing service + fun times, cant go wrong here. I love coming here with my friends and sometimes my family.

Minjoo S.

Yelp
The vibes at this pocha are just immaculate! The staff are all so friendly and accomodating and the interactive tablets really elevate the dining experience! The food is also top tier and reminds me of my travels to Korea!! I woudk definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun night out with some friends!

Maddie S.

Yelp
I love drinking here and the staff are super nice to us whenever we come. Very fun to meet new people and hang out while drinking

Yelp
The ambiance is fun and the food isn't too bad either ! You can play games to win drinks from other tables too . Great pregaming spot

Yelp
This place is so fun for drinks and meeting people! The coin and game system is such a fun aspect and we loved talking to other tables.

Yelp
Food is alright but a great place to go to have some drinks and fun with your friends! Really good vibes and loud, upbeat music. Service is usually good but can sometimes be slow. I love that you can play games for drinks across different tables! Good way to mingle and meet people

Yelp
Finally had a chance to try out Chi Chi as I had heard so many great things! We came around 7:30 and were able to enjoy the last half hour of 50% off drinks for Happy Hour. The place was pretty empty when we got there but started filling up within the hour. The food was great - we enjoyed the calamari and the spicy seafood pasta. Overall there are a good amount of food options but not too much as far as vegetarian food goes. The table games were fun but we didn't have a lot of luck with the ones played against other tables. It's important to note that the games against other tables work by wagering a drink or food item from the menu that you are committed to purchasing for another table if they beat you. That being said, it was a lot of fun but many of the games are luck based.. There seemed to be some more strategy type games but the rules of them weren't explained long enough for us to read and we spent a few of them losing because we were simply confused how to play. It was fun to play some of the other games such as the restaurant wide ones. The place is really large and there are ample seating arrangements. There is a Photo Booth and some other arcade games upstairs. It's a great place to go with friends, socialize and play games. Overall I was a little disappointed with the wagering system and how some of the games seemed to work as we couldn't understand the rules.. but we still had a lot of fun and enjoyed our food and drinks!

Yelp
I went on a Monday during Xmas week so it was a little dead. The food was good and I love how you can play games and win bottles. I need to go back on a weekend to see how more lively it can be.

Yelp
I had such a ball. Such an amazing environment to spend time with friends!! Food was great, the service is fantastic, couldn't ask for anything better. Will be returning back for sure!!

Yelp
So fun! love the vibrant atmosphere! Definitely a fun place to go to with friends! you can win drinks on the tablets and go against other tables. The service was super fast and friendly. The food was really good too, I like the chicken.

Yelp
Anytime I come to Chi Chi it's always such a fun time w my friends. I would recommend getting there earlier because if you get there past 10-11 you'll wait saurrr long. I love the interactive iPads with games and messaging that they provide, no other pocha or bar in LA does that (that I'm aware of). I don't know what it is but the food always HITS no matter what !!! My fav thing to order when I'm drunkies is the seafood pasta or kimchi stew -- always so good everytime :) I notice whenever I come with a smaller party, we get seated faster than if I come with a big group. Also, if you w w just girly pops you'll most likely get your table paid for!! So fun I'll be back soon :)

Yelp
Food, service, and ambiance are all really good. We ordered the kimchi pork belly with tofu and soy garlic wings for a party of four and it was all good portions! They have a really fun game system with the tablets at each table, I would recommend for a fun night!

Yelp
valet parking for $4 in a connected lot next door, street parking, or you can park in the streets and structures of ktown for varying prices as well. walking distance from oakobing + potobox your classic pocha, but enhanced! has a life4cuts photobooth inside & little claw machines for entertainment. plays kpop throughout as well. the cool thing abt chichi is that you can place games against other tables to bet a drink of your choice, whether it be soju or beer etc. it makes it a fun environment to meet new people :-) a three story pocha, with a waiting area on their outdoor patio on the second floor. the first floor is not as big though. they have a mini bar there, you can order food, play cup pong, or just chill by their heat lamps & tables if you need to wait for a table. on a saturday night past 9pm, we waited 1.5 hours to get in. service is super friendly and fast in my experience! the staff here are cool and helpful, even through all of the chaos. food & drink options are solid. id recommend my favorite item here, the chicken karaage overall a fun place to hang or celebrate!

Yelp
came to chi chi's on a friday evening to celebrate my birthday! i booked a reservation for 12 people at 8pm and it wasn't that packed; although, people did start to come in as it hit 10pm. since i had a big party, they had us seated on the second floor where there were 2 other tables so it wasn't as fun to look around. the 1st floor was lit up so bright and looked sooo fun. the food was soo good, especially if you're drinking, it's great drunchie food lol. i would come back here! be prepared to spend though since you'll be battling other tables and drinking back to back

Yelp
Fun fun on the sun!!! Come here with your pals if you love playing games and interacting with people. This is a great place to meet some fun vibrant personalities! The servers are chill and also great at their jobs and don't get distracted by all the fun and stay on track! I love when you win your bottles the servers are quick to give you your winnings! this was my second time here and I loved it now better than the first! The food was yummy, but we didn't come to eat lol we came to drink. There's a 30$ minimum to spend before playing games and booom you are in a for a great time! I will say, people are drinking and sometimes they do too much and the bathrooms are small so if someone can't handle their alcohol the bathrooms are done for :/ yuck but at the end of the day ima make sure the girlies are okay so no judgement babes!

Yelp
Food - 4/5 - The snacks are great and if you drink, it's even more fun. I like the fish cake soup, tteokbokki and pork belly with tofu. These items always hit when drinking with friends. Price - $$$ - DTLA pricing so the cost of each item is technically more inflated to a degree. I will say the items here are priced pretty decently even with the downtown norm. Service - 4/5 - The servers are really quick and really nice. Ambiance - 5/5 - The atmosphere is so lit. The neon lights are super cool decor. The vibes are really high energy and super fun. Location - 1/5 - It's DTLA, parking is almost never in your favor. ____________ **Note: Location rating does not affect yelp review, this is just for informative purposes of other patrons only.

Came here on a Tuesday and the vibes were still immaculate. I'll be back on a weekend at its peak to have the full experience

Yelp
Great place, I love the food and great drinks. Very kind and attentive. They have a tablet with games, group chats, and events. Always a fun time at chichis.
