The food was absolutely amazing—way beyond my expectations. Everything changed the moment I took a bite of the rice-wrapped dish. The Dan Dan noodles had fewer veggies than I expected, but the sauce more than made up for it with its rich, bold flavor. And the shumai… I think I just fell in love with it today. Great food must attract great people too—everyone seemed so friendly, or maybe I was just overly excited. My wife did her best to calm me down, and thankfully, we made it through lunch without any incidents. Next time, I’m bringing a whole group of friends. Can’t wait to come back!

So glad I finally went! I checked out the vegetarian and vegan options, I have been missing vegan Chinese since Bamboo Garden closed. The vegetarian sweet and sour short ribs were so unique, savory and you can eat the "bones!" I have never had vegan dan dan mien (homemade pan fried noodles), it wasn't very tingly but still tasty. LOVED the fried pumpkin with salty egg, delicious, super savory. I got takeout but I would definitely dine in too. Warm and welcoming atmosphere with booths and big dim sum tables, plenty of folks eating midweek early dinner. Nice people.

Hole in the wall! We almost passed up walking in, but then my hubby noticed all the fine-looking cars in the full lot and we braved it. I almost cried with joy when I saw their weekend dim sum menu. So many childhood favorites that I had growing up in NYC’s Chinatown. To be clear, the “dim sum” is not the traditional Cantonese dim sum but more northern style like green onion pancakes, salty tofu milk, fried sticks, rolled rice rolls, etc. We splurged on getting one of our faves: pea shoots in garlic sauce. Would love to go back and try other dishes.

Don’t let the outside appearance dissuade you, it’s delicious! Our host was very friendly and the smell of tasty food greets you right away. Highly recommend the Mongolian Beef, General Tso’s, and sesame noodles.

First time here… vegetarian dishes were delicious… don’t be decieved by the exterior coz the food is great… authentic Chinese and comfort food. There were lots of people dining… and take-outs too, means good food..

First time here, The good: I got the Dan Dan noodles, pictured on the left (requested to be extra spicy) and an appetizer I forget the name of, the dandan noodles were pretty good! Those were the first to be scarfed down, the other dish was pretty alright but didn't include much chicken, a few pieces but not much to go with the rest of the dish. The bad: it could be the timing that I went, around 4pm on Thursday, but it was completely empty the time I was here, and dead quiet. So, so, very quiet. I could hear the hum of electricity and the quiet working of the waiter, who was otherwise super kind! I wish there was some music or white noise to go with eating instead of complete silence other than the clatter of my cutlery against the plate. I would otherwise recommend take-out from here personally. The food is quite good otherwise.

Google
One of the most beloved restaurants by locals. It’s always at the top of my list and worth the drive from downtown. The staff is lovely, the noodles are great, and the ambiance makes you feel like you’re at home. I’ve been here dozens of times and I will continue to do so.

I recently dined at Chang Gourmet Restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience did not live up to our expectations. Here's a breakdown of our dining experience: The Shrimp with Lobster Sauce was incredibly disappointing. The shrimp with lobster sauce lacked any real flavor and seemed more like they had simply taken cooked shrimp and added them to egg drop soup. The Orange Chicken was another letdown. The dish was overloaded with hot red peppers and dried orange peel, yet it had no distinct orange flavor. Instead, it tasted remarkably similar to a very salty teriyaki sauce. The hot and sour soup and wonton soup were both served cold, which was quite surprising and unpleasant. Overall, the food was not enjoyable, and the positive reviews we had read beforehand left us confused. Our experience at Chang Gourmet Restaurant was far from satisfactory.

Yelp
Great food! Surprised how crowded it was. Maybe Saturday night at dinner time was not such a great idea. Lots of screaming kids tonight, but that didn't detour us from staying to order our favorite dishes; cold noodles and vegetarian spareribs! Service has always been good. We were t in any hurry even though we could see the wait staff was rushing around. We could have ordered more, but for just the two of us, two dishes were fine and we still took food home! We will definitely return!

Yelp
Ok this place is such a blast from the past. It's in a drive through area in Lake City and the menu feels like it's from the 1960s. There are crowds of people here and it's the epitome of Chinese-American food. Yet if you want authentic Chinese you can get it here. Just speak some Chinese and you will volumes of home cooking comfort food. That's big potstickers, tons of noodles and pots of old favorites. Come here though just to see food go by. You will love it!

Yelp
I've eaten here for years even before this business was open. Its predecessor New Peking in my opinion brought northern Chinese food styles into the Seattle area which was where my love for non Cantonese Chinese food began. This building was originally an early drive in during my mother's youth hence the root beer barrel coming out the roof. It has seen almost no maintenance or repairs/paint inside or out since the New Peking days of the 80s and it shows. If you want to go to a nice clean restaurant keep driving by. This place is unique in its own ways as well as their dim sum (weekend only) from what I understand is not the typical Hong Kong style fair. It appears to be quite popular but on weekends when we drive by to Seattle we tend to get something in the CID. There are cleaner nicer restaurants there believe it or not. My wife won't eat there..... This day I just wanted lunch and for years I've eaten a lunch special there. A number of years ago I realized it wasn't so special so haven't been back. Instead of the lunch special I ordered the noodle soup with pickled vegetables and pork. The whole time the lady wanted me to sit elsewhere because of the food choice of the loud and very opinionated gossiping Chinese ladies in the next booth. They had ordered stinky tofu!! Well I had to assure the server a few times that my wife's family eats things just as stinky to me and comfortable with it. It was pretty funky when heated up though!!!! So the noodles came and she brought me chili sauce as requested. The noodles were good but I'm pretty sure packaged. Pork was generous enough but it had a unique taste that I'm not sure I liked? I'm very familiar with this dish and have made it myself before. I've never been suspect of the flavor or smell but this one was off. It was still tasty and I was hungry. One thing I noticed was the pickled vegetables were different than usually get or use myself. I think they try to "pickle" what they have around instead of using the pickled tubors etc that I'm used to. The service was kind though and I might stop in for a lunch again but not these noodles.

Yelp
Service was great. It wasn't busy on a typical Monday night. The 3-cup chicken (三杯雞)was a little overcooked. Rice was not hot enough. Salt & pepper pork chop , dry-sauteed string beans and another pork chop dish (forgot the English name, 京都肉排)with almost like sweet & sour sauce were all delicious! There are other dishes that are good but we couldn't order that much as we had only four people at the dinner. Will return to have other yummy dishes soon!

Yelp
Glad to have found a wonderful chinese breakfast place with good prices that is not all the way in Bellevue! Definitely satisfies the craving. Would love to come back and try their shanghainese menu!

Roy B.

Yelp
As I wrote two years ago, we've been going to this restaurant for something like 15 years, and the quality of the chicken used for the General Cho's has been going downhill for a long time, but we've stuck with the place because the shredded pork with Szechuan garlic sauce is very good. But today the chicken was truly terrible. I'm not sure it was even chicken--it was more like fatty grisle. The quality of ingredients at Snappy Dragon is vastly better. I'm done with Chiang's.

Yelp
Good food and great service this is a local place for us that took me forever to get to because the outside is pretty run down. After several friends recommended that we try it we finally did and I was very pleasantly surprised. A major stand out for me we're the pork green beans. I will definitely be returning here. The only downside is the building is a bit run down but don't let that deter you!

Ca C.

Yelp
I had really high hopes but I have to say this was the worst Chinese food I've had. I couldn't eat any of the chicken, as every piece had a very weird chewy texture in the middle. The price was a crazy as well, $19 for a plate of chicken and it did not come with any rice or sides, you have to order that separately. The service was not great either. I'm pretty disappointed.

Yelp
They have a ton of different menus here so make sure you check them all out as they are all different: dim sum menu, Chinese menu, vegetarian menu, lunch menu. The Chinese menu is the most extensive menu however it is written in English so so don't worry, you'll be able to read it. We came in a huge group 2 huge tables , and amazingly they were able to get us in and out within two hours. That's pretty impressive with everybody ordering drinks, appetizers, and entrées. I ordered the pork and shrimp shumai. as well as the pan fried noodles, Shanghai style with beef. Both of these dishes were delicious and I would totally order them again. I also had to try some of my friends food, including the green beans which were really garlicy & delicious. The green onion, pancakes, and some kind of peanut sauce with chicken dish. It was nice to try some new dishes and I liked them all. I'm not sure if they will split the bill for large groups as my friend offered to pay and then we all paid her. But I was definitely impressed with all the service we received as well as the delicious food. Will definitely be coming here again.

Yelp
My family has been frequently eating at Chiang's for well over a decade. It has been a great place to eat. Recently - the last several months - our experiences have been disappointing. The prices have gone up, which is understandable, but the quality has nosedived. I suspect there has been significant staff turnover in the kitchen. Whatever the cause, we are looking for alternative eating spots.

Yelp
Went on a Sunday thirty mins after they opened. It wasn't too busy and my party of five was able to get seated right away. Inside is how a typical Asian restaurant would look like. Ordered chinese donut with hot sweet soy milk, taro cake, rice roll with pork floss, and congee. Most tasted decent. They could be good comfort food but nothing extraordinary. The one I liked most was the rice roll with pork floss.

Yelp
We have been enjoying meals at Chiang's for a long time now. My comments are based on several visits. The staff has always been very good to us, and we have had several different servers and/or greeters. So, it is very impressive that all of them have been so pleasant. People go here for the quality of food. They have so many items to choose from because they have a few different menus. Some of the hits have been the pan fried noodles, the spicy crispy chicken, Ta-Chien chicken, and the sizzling plate to name a few. It's also a nice location for larger parties because they have a few large round familial tables with 8-10 seats. I feel the food is one of the top in the Seattle area.

Yelp
I am now resigned to the fact that Chef King in Greenwood is closed (sigh). The good news is I gave Chiang's a shot & it's my new Chinese spot! The lunch special Hand Made Pan Fried Noodle with chicken is a perfect portion & the Hot and Sour soup is fantastic. This will be my go to for Chinese lunch going forward!

Yelp
Scrumptious dim sum! Loved everything we tried and the waitress was very helpful with helping our table choose what to order for first timers trying dim sum!

Yelp
Strongly recommend Chiang's without hesitation. Food is splendid either to eat there or take home... marvelous!

Carol G.

Yelp
This visit took place on a Saturday evening in August, 2025. Our group of 7 diners was seated comfortably at round table with a lazy Susan circle in the center. The menu is quite extensive so checking it out before going to restaurant is a big help. Serving size was large and reasonably priced. Service itself was outstanding with two of the waitstaff and the staff in the kitchen caring for our group. One thing to consider is that the outside of Chiang's Gourmet building looks pretty tired. Inside, the place is clean and feels open. You'll be comfortable.

Yelp
Standouts from the weekend dim sum menu: - seaweed fantuan - savory soy milk - Shanghai pan fried noodles We've come here a bunch of times and always enjoy the lively atmosphere on weekends and the food ofc. Everything is really comforting and they have a special Chinese menu outside of the regular menu iykyk. This is also one of the only restaurants in Seattle that sells all types of bing in case you're in the mood. The wait can get a little long depending on how busy it is so just be mentally prepared.

Yelp
TLDR: Food: 4.5/5 Price 4.5/5 (~$250 before tip, 13 dishes) Wait: 1/5 (went 1hr seated/ordered with no food) Staff: 4/5 Space: 4/5 Time stamps: 4:30-6:41 Seated 4:35 (4:30 reservation, party of 10) Hot tea 4:40 Orders taken 4:45 Vegetable dumplings 5:51 Ribs, sweet and sour chicken, egg fu yung 5:58 Hot and sour soup 6:00 Shanghai noodles, dandan noodles 6:12 Mapo tofu 6:15 Green beans, white rice 6:20 Shrimp w/ lobster sauce, sauteed beef 6:23 Eggplant 6:28 Check/fortune cookies 6:41 I'm going to be generous because it was Christmas and therefore very busy but we were seated at our table for OVER AN HOUR AFTER WE ORDERED WITH NO FOOD. Something that was very odd was all the items were brought at different times, and the appetizers (ex: green beans) were brought at the very end, and we didn't get white rice until 2 hours into our meal after we promted server. Service was this slow for whole restraunt I observed. Food was mostly super delicious, but my favorite chinese dish, hot and sour soup was awful everyone at our table agreed), it was cold, had no texture, and just tasted like sour water, a big letdown for me. Loved the hot tea given at the beginning and refilled throughout the meal! Staff were freibdly and helpful despite the overwhelm. Small place, mostly clean, sparsly decorated, small waiting area. Looking forward to trying again on a non-holiday to see if food comes out faster. Would recommend!

Yelp
Hadn't eaten here since before the Pandemic and was looking forward to revisiting this restaurant. Ordered the handmade noodles with chicken. Real disappointing. It looked like they grabbed a handful of noodles and stir fried them in soy sauce, tossed in some cooked chicken and green onions, and called it done. No veggies. No extras. No recommendation.

Yelp
3.5 star is where it's at when it comes to authentic Asian food (iykyk) this place looks so trash and I was honestly taken back by it. But you know... don't judge a book by it's cover. You need to come here during the weekend for its breakfast menu. I come here for the sticky rice rolls and particularly love the savory ones. I don't know if there's anywhere else to get it. I love their pork century egg congee too--super flavorful and not overly large portion size. Staff are all friendly here, though service can be a bit slow during the weekend. Parking is very easy.

Yelp
My family owned a Chinese restaurant in L.A. Chinatown back in the 1960's and Chiang's Gourmet Restaurant kind of reminds me of it. On the upside, the food is really good and authentic. Easily in the top 10 Chinese restaurants in Seattle and the service is good. On the downside, the venue really needs a little TLC. I would dine in here but it is a little run down. Apparently it was a local root beer chain (XXX?) which dates back to the 1940's. So there is a nostalgic history to the building. So here is how it scored from high to low... 1. Chajiang Mian 5/5 ($15): wow love their hand made noodles. 2. Salt & Pepper Fish Fillet 5/5 ($24): a fabulous rendition but a little pricey 3. Fried Dumpling 4/5 ($14-8 pieces): a really solid pot sticker 4. Five Star Spicy Hot Chicken 4/5 ($18): well it was 4 stars and not that spicy LOL Actually enjoyed this dish and would order again. 5. Beef Chow Fun 3/5: not on the menu but the meat was chewy and no onions or bean sprouts. 6. Bean Curd Sheet Roll: 3/5 ($10-1 roll): this was a disappointment for me. It was pricy and really dry compared to a traditional bean curd roll. All that said it is innovative. I like this place and will definitely return for takeout. I guess it's known for its Taiwanese breakfast dishes. It's pricey but everything is pricey these days. At least the quality and quantity justifies the cost. It's a "diamond in the rough" or maybe a "diamond in a root beer stand". LOL Check it out.
google avatar

B--- S.

Yelp
I've been there a few times for lunch and both my friend and I enjoyed the food we got. It's better than you might think from looking at the building. And the service is very good and the food reasonably priced (at least the lunch specials we've ordered).

Yelp
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse Xmas eve was about, and no food in the house But fear not, dear hungry, help was soon near A restaurant was found, to provide munchies and cheer Thank you for reading my exhaustive review .. the end (( walks behind stage .. waits for the crowd encore call ... storms back on stage )) Thank you!!!! Perhaps, one last note on my review! Picture it! Seattle. Christmas Eve, 2023. The people are hungry. The restaurants are closed. Panic runs amok in the streets and then from afar (or from a post in a Facebook group...), you see it, like a beacon in the night guiding you to salvation ...a bright neon sign ... Chiang's Gourmet (queue festive holiday music). Given that we visited on Christmas Eve, we were surprised at getting seated almost right away. Some patrons arriving after us did seem to have a small ... but very modest wait, especially considering it was Xmas Eve. The service overall was very fast, very knowledgeable, very friendly, but not without some small caveats (I'll touch on those later on in the review). If you're a vegetarian or vegan, please make a point to ask for their separate vegetarian menu (which is also accessible online). The majority of their vegetarian options are vegan, barring options that contain eggs. If you're unsure, definitely check with your servers as they seem very knowledgeable. The menu has a plethora of appealing options, whether you're looking for an appetizer, soup, noodles, special entree ... you'll find something to love! Most of the food was over the top amazing, the sweet and sour ribs were "meaty" with sweet overtones and a cute, edible bamboo "bone" in the middle, green onion pancakes, thick and savory .. especially when coupled with the delicious brown dipping sauce, the fried tofu seemed just ...ok, by that I mean a bit too cooked on the outside (all three in our party felt the same) , but all of the other vegan items were nothing short of amazing (please see attached pictures). The prices you'll find here are not cheap but at the same time ... the portion sizes are really big, so you do get your money's worth! Ok, the caveats. One of the main entrees was brought to the table before even the appetizers had arrived, we found that to be odd. The other oddity was not bringing rice to the table until well after all of the main entrees arrived. I'm totally willing to dismiss the errant timing of the food service due to Xmas Eve craziness but I'd be remiss if I didn't at least mention this. The last caveat was the bathrooms, they're kind of dinky, to be honest. My overall thoughts, Chiang's Gourmet is a huge win-win. There were some caveats which I wanted to be honest about in the interest of presenting a full and balanced review but I'm thinking there's no way you come out of your experience at Chiang's disappointed in any way.

Yelp
Probably my favorite place in Seattle. Weekend Shanghai dimsum. Place is a bit outdated but you can't beat the food. The owner is so nice and sometimes brings me as special treat. Yum.

Yelp
Best Chinese food we've found in Seattle so far. So consistent and delicious. Great service and very kind staff who are patient with kids at the table. They often have paper over the tables and kids can draw with crayons to pass the time until food comes. We keep going back for this food.

Yelp
Great spot for Chinese food in the Northgate/Greenlake area! Got to try their Five Star Spicy Hot Chicken, which I believe is a MUST GET. It is super crispy and packed with flavor. It's not as spicy as it may seem so don't hesitate~ I also tried their Fish with Salt and Pepper, which was light and crispy, with just a lil kick from the jalapeños. And lastly, we got their Green Beans, which tasted just like you would expect it ( *:

Yelp
My wife and I love this place. It's not a beautiful building, and the decor is dated. Who cares!? The food is delicious- always fresh, and large portions. We have been fortunate, they have been able to accommodate us w/o reservations. This year, we had my bday dinner there (including young children) it went off without issue, and the staff was wonderful. You drive by and see the dated building/ give it a try. You won't regret it.

Yelp
The food is good here. Very cozy experience in a quant space. The service is also good. No complaints.

Yelp
Food is excellent here for dim sum, take out and dine in I have lived close to it for 20 years. Forego the American menu and ask for the Chinese. I love the Singapore noodles, plenty of shrimp, barbecued pork, and a Malay literally Malaysian flavors of spices with rice noodles and cabbage. The mini steamed buns were delicious and eaten freshly steamed piping hot at the table all three melted in my mouth with their sweet and savory BBQ pork. I was there for lunch and Went home w leftover Singapore noodles I swear they got better overnight.

Yelp
Nice waitstaff greeted us upon arrival, ambiance reminded me of the Chinatown authentic Chinese decor. Food was surprisingly good too. We had almost given up on finding decent Chinese food in these parts of Washington! Will be back to try some more dishes soon!

Tom F.

Yelp
This is absolutely the worst Chinese food I have ever had. It was either overcooked or undercooked. The quality of the food was horrific. I do not recommend this stay away. What a rip off and it's way overpriced.

Lonnie E.

Yelp
I love Chinese for lunch and finally found the perfect place for me. I tried a number of their lunch specials and enjoyed them all. I've yet to try the dim sum on the weekend but look forward to trying them out. The staff are friendly and fast. Love this place!

Yelp
Probably one of the tastiest Chinese restaurant in the Seattle area. The exterior of the building is a little off putting as it's not something you would drive by and think "I have to try that place." You have to get past the chaotic-no-wait-list-you-stand-in-line but the food is worth it. Parking: yes but small lot. Dog friendly: no Family friendly: yes even though there is a sign that says no minor FOOD: DIMSUM MENU: 1. Fritters of twisted dough with shrimp: 2 star. no price as this was the hostess "recommendation." I use this in quotes cause it wasn't a suggestion, more like she's telling us need to get it. Verbiage of the menu is kind of weird as most people know this as Chinese donuts or crueller. We agreed to get this mostly cause we had no idea what this was. 2. Baked cake wrapped with fritters of twisted dough and egg $7: 5 stars! This was like a massive hot pocket-sandwich. The "cake" is kind of like a less buttery puff pastry that flakes with sesame seed. It was sliced in half length wise and stuffed with 3-4 pieces of crueller and scrambled egg. Was probably the best thing and definitely worth the price. 3. Crispy biscuit wrapped with shredded turnip (2) $6: 5 star! This was actually really good but wish it was bigger or came with more pieces. The exterior was nicely pan seared and turnip was very tender and had great flavor tho a tad bit heavy handed with white pepper but I liked it! 4. Pan fried pork bun (3) $6.50: 3 star. It was decent - good sear on the bun but it was pretty small and the flavor was okay. The best part was the bun to meat ratio. 5. Pan fried leek bun (2) $4.00: 3 star. I think this was more like the garlic chive then leek. Similar to the pan fried pork bun but one less piece but cost less. 6. Steam chicken feet (Phoenix feet) $6.50: 5 Star! Holy hell these were really good! The feet most have come from some steroid chicken cause they were massive! The flavor, the sauce, and the perfect tenderness!! REGULAR MENU: 1. Green onion pancakes $10: 4 star - these were not the tradition scallion type pancake were you had the scallion all over and you could see the swirl. This was more like scallions we're packed into a dough ball and completely rolled flat then deep fried. Super crispy and hot which was nice to know it was fried to order. 2. Fried tofu $11: 3 star - they were okay. The best I've had so far is at King's in Bellevue (but I think they're now called Royal Kitchen). The menu just said "fried tofu" with no added description. So it wasnt the salt and pepper style or anything.. just deep fried tofu squares with some scallion bits. RESTAURANT AND MENU: For dimsum, they have a 1 pager, double sided, menu. The front page is more like Asian street food and the back page has more of the dim sum items. It was really confusing reading their dim sum menu because it's not really dim sum and their description isn't like how you'd find at other restaurants. They have a full lunch/dinner menu as well. Hence why I broke up the food description so you know where to find it. The restaurant is small, pretty tight with the number of booths and tables. The tables are all the larger style for big parties of 6 or 8 people. Like most chinese restaurant, they don't have a great entrance way/waiting area. They didn't have a waiting list so there was just a bunch of us crowding in the door way in line. There wasn't a separate line for to-go/pick up either. It was really confusing. SERVICE: They seemed understaff. I honestly felt bad for the workers because they were hustling when they were so busy yet so behind. We only really interacted with the hostess who also turned out to be the waitress taking our order. She's provided typical Chinese customer service when you speak Chinese - she told us what we really wanted, judged what we ordered and made edits to our order without telling us lol

Yelp
Kicking myself for not trying this restaurant earlier. Chiang's Gourmet is easily one of the best Chinese restaurants on the North side of Seattle! We went for dim sum, which they serve from 10:30am-3pm Sat and Sun. We arrived at around 11am on Sunday and were seated almost immediately. The food was delicious and fresh, and our server was incredibly nice! Food: Baked Cake Wrapped with Stuffing of Beef: 5/5, this was recommended by our server and it was delicious! It was similar to a meat pie with a yummy umami beef and veggie filling. Pork Shui Mai with Shrimp: 5/5, some of the best shui mai I've had. Juicy meaty filling with great flavor. Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf: 5/5, delicious sticky rice! Great filling of Chinese Sausage, beef, mushrooms, etc. Sweet Rice Round Dumpling Wrapped with Dried Turnip, Fritters of Twisted Dough & Fried Shredded Meat: 3/5, probably would not order this again. It was good, but the filling was a bit too salty for my taste buds. Steamed BBQ Pork Bun: 3/5, solid bbq pork buns, but nothing to write home about. I prefer a higher filling-to-bun ratio. Deep Fried Meat Dumplings: 2/5, not my favorite. Too much dough and not enough different flavors in the filling. Overall, I definitely plan to try this place again, with a couple of adjustments to the order (and possibly more than 2 people so we can try more dishes!). I also want to try their regular lunch/dinner menu.

Yelp
It's pretty good since it has great dumplings noodles, and other dishes. It has great takeout and it's pretty good.

Yelp
This is honestly a hidden gem. The exterior looks very old and outdated. It does have a parking lot which is convenient. food actually tastes amazing. Price is very affordable for the portion. Will come back.

Yelp
Seattles best kept secret. 11/10 you will not regret going here. I recommend the green beans, the five star chicken, and Mongolian beef

Yelp
This is now my 3rd (!!!) review of Chiang's and this place still reigns supreme. My family has been coming here for over 10 years now, and I make a point of having a meal here every time I come back to visit Seattle. It's still the same friendly people and the same welcoming atmosphere. I am SO happy that they survived the pandemic, although I guess I shouldn't be surprised since they've always had a pretty robust takeout customer base. All my old favorites are still consistently great--the jajiangmian, the mushu pork or vegetable, the dry fried string beans, the wu geng chang wang (blood tofu and pork intestine in a spicy sauce), the mei cai kou rou (pork belly with mustard greens), the taro spare ribs...and if you're into it, the stinky tofu is pretty good here, too. The woman who runs the place is always coming by with pro tips on how to best eat your leftovers, which I think is awesome. I hope this place continues to thrive and stick around, because they do it best.

Yelp
I came in with no expectations, but still left disappointed, bothered, and tired. Our table of four waited over 20 minutes for food, which then arrived cold. The walnut shrimp was soggy and completely flavorless. The 5-star chicken was decent, but a few bites in, I started feeling sleepy--most likely due to the excessive amount of MSG--and left with a headache. To top it off, they added an automatic 20% gratuity without informing us. I can understand an automatic gratuity for good service, but in this case, there was no service at all.

Yelp
This place is legit! We weren't expecting much based on the outside and the customer photos but we were very wrong. The food is excellent. We ordered the traditional Chinese dishes, which is our preference over American Chinese food. We haven't had their dim sum yet, but are excited to go back to try it!

Yelp
Everyone was hungry before I had a chance to take photos. Best meal I have to say. We did come in after 2:30PM. But I have to say they are super tasty. Fresh ingredients with superb prepping. Every single dish is unique. (1) Honey walnut prawn - lightly breaded deep fried prawns with very lightly coated sauce accompany with crunchy walnut. (2) Shredded pork with dried bean curd & yellow leeks - yellow leeks flavor definitely penetrated thru out the dish. Soft and tasty tofu with enough browning pork without drying the whole dish. Not greasy nor swimming in sauce. Just perfect. (3) Salt & pepper pork chop - omg!! The best pork chop I ever have!! I am not foodie. But coming from family who used to own restaurant and trying so many different S&P pork chop dishes. It's the right thickness without over drying. Lightly breaded deep fried pork chop with light salt taste and thin crunchiness outside with moist and well marinated inside. Perfect balance. The S&P with basil on top completed the taste. (4) Black mushroom, snow peas , broccoli in brown sauce - another tasty veggie dish with enough sauce to coat the veggies and yet maintain the freshness/crispiness. (5) Bean curd & bean curd tripe with hot sauce in hotpot - I have never had this dish ever before. This one is supposed to be well known with pig intestines and such. I have major mental block eating anything with intestine, liver, and such. I was glad it had veggie version. So decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, family members can't tolerant the spiciness. This dish was requested without any spice. Wish I would have the spicy one. This one is okay for me. I believe it is also missing basil. It is great on the rice with its brown sauce and tofu/veggies. A bit of too saltiness in my opinion without the subtle sweet taste for balance. Bottom line, food is yummy. We admit that togo typically compromise the freshness and tastes comparing to dining in. Please support local business. And our Waitress, Ru was very attentive and nice. We will study menu further more for the next visit in couple days.

Yelp
I've lived in the neighborhood for 6 years and for 5 of those years I thought this building was derelict. When we finally ended up going, I was shocked to find the restaurant absolutely packed with people! Food was good and I plan to go back.

Yelp
We used to come here all the time before moving away. Came back years later, still has the same taste and quality as before, authentic & delicious! The garlic spicy shredded beef or crispy beef, can't remember which descriptive word they used, is so so good!

Yelp
this place is really yummy especially the items from the "chinese" menu - for ex dan dan noodles and similar. I like the wide array of veggie options and the food is super fresh. yes it kind of looks dumpy from the outside but it's really a great spot

Yelp
Ate here today with my mom, sister and 2 cousins for lunch. The restaurant there is really quiet. We had ordered the Szechuan foods there such as the 5 star chicken. The food there tasted very good and delicious. Also, the service was really good, friendly, attentive and super quick to get our foods. Finally, we definitely will eat and come back again anytime! :)

Yelp
Its the best chinese food in seattle. They have three menus and everything is delicious, the owner recommends stuff to add to make your order better (persistently) but she is also never ever wrong. I have tried a lot of new things because of her and they are all great. HUGE shoutout to the garlic green beans and the spicy eggplant, If you go for noodles get the hand rolled. Dont sleep on it.

Yelp
Love this place! The service is super friendly and the food is delicious!! I'm still thinking about the stir fried shredded beef dish.. ugh and the fried scallops with garlic and chili?! Are you kidding me!! So good. The outside doesn't look the best, but the food supersedes the appearance. We got the shredded beef dish, pork intestine hotpot, fried scallops with garlic and chili, soybean milk, and the handmade noodle tossed in some sort of soy sauce. It was all amazing. Ask the server for their recommendations. Can't wait to go back and order more!! It's family style so bring and appetite; or don't - just take it home for delicious leftovers!!

Yelp
My family and I love this place and the people that work there, after a long week or just a hard time, there's nothing more comforting than coming to this place and eat it's delicious food. Favorite Chinese restaurant by far

Yelp
Food was actually good despite the outside looks really old. We ordered an alternative of the spicy fried chicken cubes, the fish version. I think it tastes better than the chicken. It is not on the menu, so you need to ask them to make it.
