21 Kid-Friendly Houston Restaurants That Grown-Ups Won’t Hate

"This all-you-can-eat restaurant puts a fun spin on the already interactive hot pot experience by delivering your toppings and soup ingredients on a miniature train-led conveyor belt. Pick your broth and sauces, which are simmered at the table, and then build your ideal soup with seafood, frog legs, slices of beef, vegetables, and more as the choo-choo chugs along. Go for lunch, where it's $19 for adults and $9 for kids, or opt for dinner for $29 for adults and $14 for children." - Brittany Britto Garley

The food quality and taste are average to good, but not as good as other hotpot places. The price of this place is similar to other AYCE hotpot restaurants, but there are fewer meat options and a lack of freshness. However, they have grilled skewers, which is a good way to make up for the lack of meat options. I have been coming here multiple times a year for years. I'm glad they improved their dessert bar and added some sushi. They recently added a wagyu option, but they charge per skewer/order, which defeats the purpose of AYCE. I could go to Hai Di Lao if I wanted to pay per order with better meat options, add-ons, amenities, and overall services. I could go to Kpot BBQ&HP for AYCE; they serve Kobe beef and more meat/seafood/noodle options there. Of course, the price is a little bit more, but it's AYCE, which is better than paying AYCE prices but still being charged per order. It doesn't make sense. Overall, the food and service is acceptable good to come back if you're in the area. There was one time we came with my 3-year-old son (no charge), but they charged for each refill of iced tea. For two adults plus iced teas, the price was nearly $100. My husband is a quiet and kind person; he saw the price was off but paid anyway. Make sure to read your bill and check.

Friend took me here for my birthday and it was fun. Soup was great and they kept refilling it. Restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. Only complaint was the crabs they offered were not good quality because the smell was off.

This is our third time here in five years and once again, we are not disappointed. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was perfect and the weight staff was incredible, especially our waitress Olga. We brought our 9 and 10 year old grand daughters and they LOVED everything.

Google
Love the family-friendly AYCE atmosphere. Kids enjoy being able to select their own ingredients from the conveyor belt, watch food arrive by train and cook their chosen ingredients themselves. Love their fried buns and grilled items too!

My husband & I love coming here anytime we get a chance, we haven’t been in awhile because of my foot injury but we came back for lunch and brought our friend to try it because it’s our go-to hot pot place and he absolutely loved it! Jenny was our server (according to our receipt cause I forgot to ask for her name) and she was sooo wonderful! She was very attentive, welcoming & helpful with explaining flavors when we had questions. Her personality was the sweetest! And I want to thank the staff for allowing me to feel comfortable with my knee scooter as well. We loved our experience :) 10/10 as always! Thank you Jenny & staff for making us feel welcomed ♥️

I really enjoyed my first visit to Chiba Hot Pot, food was good and the server was very attentive. I went back today (11/20) for lunch, but the experience was very different from the first time. The restaurant was very quiet, and only a few tables were occupied. Whenever I needed something, I had to grab my server’s attention because she was busy talking with the counter lady, or I had to look for her myself. When the other lady informed her that I needed something, she made a face. I often saw her asking two other ladies at a nearby table if they needed anything, but the only time she came and asked me if I needed anything was after I finished my meal. I had to point out on it, and she insisted that she had asked me multiple times, which was not true. She kept lying on my face. Again, I told her she hadn’t, and she just said, “It’s okay,” and walked away. I have never had to speak up to a waiter/waitress about their service in my life. I’m not sure if the counter lady is the owner, but they really need to educate her. I will never return!

Google
Lots of different broth flavors, and you can try them if you just ask. Love this place. Kind servers are really knowledgeable and hospitable. The little train that brings the meats is fun for the kids. And the constant stream of various soup ingredients is more diverse than most of the other hot pot spots we’ve tried. This one’s our fav. We’ve been a few times and will certainly return. The ice cream is delicious too!

Google
I think you really need to know what type of hotpot base you enjoy. For newbies there really isn’t a description of what’s in the broth to know what exactly you’re going for. Otherwise, the food quality was good and the grilled options were delicious especially the lamb and calamari. Service and atmosphere was fair. Our party enjoyed ourselves it was a fun experience. Also, it’s a no for the green matcha ice cream.

Yelp
Love this place! I'm surprised by the reviews on the bad service because I've been here at least a dozen times and have never had an issue. There are more high end hot pot places, but this one is really good in my opinion. I love the convenience of the conveyor belt as I tend refill my noodles often :) The only downside I would say is it could be a little cleaner. The handles to get into the conveyor belt always look dirty so I just use my napkin to open. Also, the benches do tend to shift when you're seated at a table, but not a big deal. Overall, it's a good pick and I would definitely recommend trying it out!

Yelp
I applaud them for trying something new and gimmicky. The train that delivers food definitely drew me in. So I popped in with some friends on the way back from College Station (otherwise I would not have gone out of my way). We came in at opening and we were the only ones on a cold day. It started filling up around noon. But we had the run of the place to ourselves for 30 mins or so. Which was why I was so stunned by the incredibly poor service. You mark which meats you want on a piece of paper and they input it in a system. Our meats didn't arrive after 30 mins and no one came to check on us. So we asked and they said the computer in the back wasn't working so they had to input it again. All in all, the items we checked off took about 45 mins to arrive. But others who were seated after us got their food much faster. The worst part was, the meat was not worth the wait. I know it's all you can eat but there are some amazing AYCE hotpot places with high quality meats for great prices. This is not it. It was about $29/person for weekend lunch. The meat disintegrated when put in our broth pots. Also, I'm pretty sure our broth orders were wrong. The grilled meats were chewy and hard to eat. The items into the conveyor belt were not fresh. The sauce options are limited and not good. No ponzu?! And the desserts were horrific. I didn't even try them. We just paid and went elsewhere to satisfy our sweet teeth. Weirdly, the restaurant is not well furnished. My dining bench was not secure so it kept moving around. It had another seat behind it for another table and moved around until someone sat behind me. I recommend going to Shabu zone in Chinatown or just driving to Austin for Soup Leaf. Don't waste your time or money here.

Yelp
All the major houston foodies are posting about this place right now. I've been wanting to try this place and now that I have, I won't be returning. I will say it is a cool concept, but it's a one and done for me. The train is a gimmick. Our food only arrived on the train once. The rest of the time, it was an employee from the back walking to our booth with a plate of meat or food. Why make the train a highlight and not utilise it? Service is nonexistent here. There are rarely any meat selections and our waiter never visited our table and ask if we needed any refills or more meat. Both times when we wanted more meat we had to raise our hand to get her attention. One of our beef plates was comical, the pieces were all broken and were about the size of your thumbnail. The only way to cook it was to put the beef on the soup spoon and dunk it in. The options for sauce is not great either. None of the sauces were tasty. The desserts are what you'd find in a Chinese buffet and the egg tarts tasted like pure baked egg, it tasted like it had 0 sugar added in. We opted for the ice cream that was offered, I asked for vanilla bean since it was on the menu and our waiter said they don't serve that. We asked for chocolate and strawberry and she brought us green tea and strawberry.. If you're not going to remember something that simple, then use a notepad to write it down! If you're looking for personalised hot pot/shabu, you're better off going elsewhere.

Yelp
I loved this place because it was so fun to eat there. The staff was great, offereing help and teaching me what to do since it was our first time there. The price was very reasonable, especially for all the "All You Eat" part. The place is clean and quiet. It was a very relaxing environment.

Yelp
Honestly, I am not a hot pot pro but the service here was very friendly and helpful. I had the house broth medium which was favorful but the star anise was a bit strong for my preference. My wife had the chicken broth which we both liked much better. All the vegetables, and meats seemed fresh and tasty. I think my crab was not so good much probably just that piece and overall the seafood was good quality. The vanila bean ice cream was outstanding.

Yelp
Pretty solid individual hotpot spot, I only wish it was closer to Chinatown/inner loop! $18.99 is a decent lunch price for all-you-can-eat hotpot, there's quite a bit to choose from. The food is pretty fresh and you can make your own sauce to get just the right flavor you want. Their house spice broth isn't crazy spicy but it tastes pretty legit! Whichever protein you order, it'll come by the little train, which would make any little kiddo happy. The conveyor belt has a plastic sliding doors to help limit contamination, assuming others actually slide it closed. There's a range of seafood, vegetables, and other hotpot stuffs to choose from, my favorite was the meatballs, which you normally don't see! The only thing I'm sad about is them not having sesame oil, but they do have plenty of minced garlic. Don't forget to get the fried buns! So yummy

Yelp
Visiting parents for Thanksgiving, so we followed Yelp's rating and gave Chiba Hot Pot a try. We called to make sure they are open and to see if we can make a reservation. The lady was nice to explain that no reservation is needed for lunch. And she was right, when we got there at 12noon, about half the tables were filled. Although the place is not as big as other buffet places, it is nice and clean. After our family sat down, within a few minutes the waitress came to explain to us the process of ordering. The lunch was $18.99 per person, all you can eat. Other than the chicken/beef/pork meat slices, and the fried buns and fried chicken wings, she told us we would be able to find everything else on the menu on the belt. She then pointed to the list of soup choices - we are to pick a soup base first, then indicate the spicy level we want. Each person is to pick their own cause we all get our own hot-pot bowl. As a good eating habit, we started right away with the veggies. About 10 mins later, an automated toy train above the belt delivered the meat slides. Everything - especially the veggies - is super fresh; the blue crab and shrimps are hit or miss (had 5 crab pieces and 4 of them smelled). Apart from the food at the table, there is a section on one side of the walls with self-serve dessert (cake pieces and fruits) as well as different sauces. When we were all done eating, the waitress came by to get our free ice-cream order; there are at least six flavors to choose from. --- Overall, here are the great things about Chiba Hot Pot Buffet: 1) The service is great; they have people who continue to help clear out empty plates, and they never once rushed anyone to finish, 2) Most food is fresh and the place is clean, 3) So many ice-cream choices compare to other competitors. The things that have room for improvement: 1) Please do not place "water/empty" crabs on the belt, 2) The mushroom soup base is a bit too heavy in ginger, 3) Maybe add one more option to the fruits instead of only oranges and cantaloupes.

Yelp
Chiba hot pot is not the best food, in my opinion. The meats were not as fresh as I would like from a hot pot restaurant. The service was good, and the server was attentive. The ambiance of the place was not for me. You do get what you pay for sometimes.

Yelp
This place is fantastic if you're a fan of hot pot! I consistently go for the house broth--it's incredibly spicy--and my husband loves the Tom Yum. Both are bursting with flavor! The selection for your hot pot ingredients is extensive, ranging from veggies to meats, seafood, and beyond. The staff are consistently attentive and friendly, adding to the overall great experience. Hot pot isn't my daughter's thing, but she still indulges in the delicious chicken wings--I don't blame her! They're consistently crispy and incredibly tasty.
google avatar

Deborah A.

Yelp
You select your broth. Chicken beef or pork. As the conveyor belt goes by just grab whatever you like to put in your bowl of broth as it cooks. There's a variety of veggies noodles mushrooms you name it. There's an abundance of other items you can order as everything is including. I enjoyed the concept and my Chiba hot pot was so delicious. The little train bring other items right to you. Can't wait to return.
google avatar

Yelp
We such a wonderful experience! The staff is incredibly friendly, the food tasted fresh and the soup base was so delicious. I wish there were more options at the sauce bar but the ones they have are great! A super bonus were the chicken wings that were crispy yet so moist with good flavor. I loved that specific items were delivered by the train making it a fun and unique experience!

Yelp
This is an awesome hot pot place. This was our first time going so we didn't know the procedure. The servers were very helpful and explained everything to us. We loved our individual pots and were able to select our own choice of ingredients to put in our pot. The meat that you order is sliced nice and thin, and it is enough for two people. We will definitely go again.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this gem due to my craving for hot pot as it was the new year and holy cow am I glad I did!! Traditionally my family has hot pot for the new year and we always have noodles to hope for a long and prosperous life. My boyfriend searched up this hot pot place so we could go after church mass. I had actually seen this pop up on Instagram a year before so when I walked in through the doors and saw conveyor belts, I instantly knew this was the place! We were greeted by the host at the door and asked how many people- it wasn't very busy luckily as we came just before 6:30pm. We were seated at a booth on the far left side next to the conveyor belt and give 2 paper menus to look over everything. A waitress came by and asked us what we'd like to drink and if we had been here before. We both said no so she explained the menu to us saying there were certain things that we had to order from the waitress but everything else would come on the conveyor and we could select our soup as it was individual pots. I picked (apparently) the spiciest one which was the tom yum kha. I found out during my 2nd visit that this flavor of soup can't have an adjusted spice level as it's already made spicy. My boyfriend got the house special soup which looked very creamy and milky and it tasted very light. When our soups came out, we began opening the mini doors to the conveyor and getting plates of things we saw we wanted as it came by. There's quite a large variety of things but I was disappointed to see not a large selection of noodle types. The main ones they had were Udon, rice cakes or egg noodles. I guess it's because it has to fit on a small bowl on the conveyor belt which is why everything was also cut down in length and size so it wouldn't fall out of the bowl/plate and cause a mess. Everything was cooked fairly quickly in the soup once it began boiling and we ordered 4 portions of sliced beef, as well as some beef skewers. The skewers took some time to come out but the sliced beef came out fairly quickly. It was cut so thin that it cooked almost immediately in the hot broth. Overall it's a great place to eat with family! I even saw some parties of 4-5 people. I wouldn't recommend coming with larger groups because it can be kind of crowded and difficult to get to the conveyor and their booths are only meant for 3-4 people. For groups larger than 4 they'd probably seat you in the center where it's shoulder to shoulder so that everyone has access to the conveyor in front of them but it's not a lot of space to put bowls and things you want to add to your pot without grabbing something and immediately dumping it into the soup to cook while you grab the next thing. The staff are fairly on top of clearing space and collecting piles of small empty bowls. It's all you can eat so definitely worth it and the quality is good as well! I definitely will come back more often!

Yelp
I am a regular customer of this restaurant. I love their house spicy soup base; even the mild version is very tasty. The service is always consistent, and the servers are very polite and fast. I deducted one star only because of the poor selection of desserts. Overall, it's a great hot pot place in Houston!
google avatar

AJ H.

Yelp
Great concept. An all you can eat hot pot spot. All hot pots are individual, which is nice for cleanliness. The raw food is on a conveyor belt that you can pluck from. The cooked food you can order (skewers, chicken wings, etc) are delivered via this cute bullet train. There's a self serve station for sauces and deserts. The deserts was okay. Service was good! Be careful to not intake too much sodium, otherwise you may feel super thirsty afterwards
google avatar

Julie P.

Yelp
All right hot pot. Not the worst or best. Broths here were very hearty but tasted a bit too light in flavor. There's a conveyer belt here and everything was pretty fresh, but the meat was also a bit too thickly cut in my opinion. The short ribs and fried buns were my favorite though and very delicious. I just think there are better places unfortunately :/
google avatar

Long L.

Yelp
Food is fabulous? best service will be back for sure , will take my family to this place
google avatar

Cynthia N.

Yelp
The food was so delicious! There's a menu to pick 4 different broths: mushroom, chicken, Tom yam, and tomato. There are also 3 levels of spice! Tom yam is spiciest already. There is a rotation of food you can add to the hot pot. There's also skewers and meat you're able to order as well that will deliver via train! Small dessert table is self serve.
google avatar

Claudia Ç.

Yelp
Love this place. Is it the best in Houston, well maybe maybe not, either way their food is great and the staff is always very helpful! Love the conveyor belt the food is on! The cute train also helps make the atmosphere fun and inviting! I love the options they have for food, yes some places have more options or different ones, this place really does have a pretty wide range of items for your hot pot. Been coming here since it opened and I will say it's been pretty consistent taste wise and I appreciate that, sometimes places lose their grove and it's never the same again. Y'all should give this place a try, I also truly enjoy not having to fight with people to get to certain items because they all just roll right past your table!!
google avatar

Phuong N.

Yelp
What a fun way to eat hot pot. I've had hotpots from many places but not one that is on a conveyor belt and your protein are delivered by a food train. Service was great, they are fast to get rid of our plates and always asked if we needed anything throughout our meal. For lunch proteins, you have beef, pork, chicken and shrimp. The beef, chicken and pork are delivered via the Food Train and everything else like the veggies, two types of noodle, many different types of mushrooms, octopus, shrimp and tofu are in the conveyor belt. I got the mushroom broth with medium heat. They have a dessert and sauce bar so I made a perfect sauce for my protein dipping sauce. It was perfect! We both end our meal with half mango and half green tea ice cream. So glad we came here even though it's a drive. I hope I get another chance to stop by here for lunch again. The price for our lunch was so ridiculously cheap compared to other hot pots.
google avatar

Calvin D.

Yelp
Chiba hot pot is one of my favorite places to go! Even though it's about 30 min away from me, I drove down here to try it out and I loved it! They have much more than just "hot pot", they offer many skewers as well which I loved! It was pretty full in the restaurant when I got in so I kinda knew it would be a great spot, I didn't have to wait to be seated either. This is an AYCE hot pot w/ revolving belt! It's different from most hot pot places so it's very unique. Their soup has good flavors and the meat is on point. Don't get too much rice so you can stack up on their meat!
google avatar

Christian A.

Yelp
First time coming here with my best friend we both loved it and the food was delicious specially the Fried Fish balls
google avatar

Kitty B.

Yelp
We didn't get past the front door. The prices listen online are between $23.99 and $25.99. When we went in to see how much it was, they told us $28.99 per person! The food could be amazing for all I know, but I don't like being lied to before we even get into the building.
google avatar

Ashton P.

Yelp
Food quality and flavor was awesome! Little confusing to start but service was great and explained everything perfectly. Ambiance was so cool, a little train rolls by to deliver your proteins and a conveyor built just keeps going for all the veggies.

Yelp
I took the family to celebrate Chinese New Year for hot pot & Chiba did not disappoint. There were plenty of selections & fun factor for a hot pot meal. Those reviewed being less than quality or authentic IMO is too harsh. My family being from China enjoyed the experience just fine, like I said hot pot fun factor. Check out their menu for variety of choices. The skewers were ok, that was not the reason why we were there for. Keep in mind, there is processed white fish used as crab and lobster, but that an ok substitute in a hot pot. Real blue crabs in a shell to squids really makes the seafood fun as well. If you like soup & interactive dining, give this place a try. My mom is going to take her friend there & that says a lot!

Yelp
Good food, and great service. A very welcoming atmosphere. Loved the crowd and the fellowship was nice.

Yelp
My family and I come here weekly, if not bi-weekly to eat. We love the environment and the service that we receive is top tier. Their food is fresh and comes in reasonable portions, it is all you can eat! Kyle is always welcoming and makes our meal better with a great conversation. Mrs. Sarah always makes sure that we are satisfied every time we dine in. Definitely a spot to try whenever you're wanting hotpot.

Yelp
I happened upon this after my mother had passed away and while she was in Navasota, my daughter, sister in law and I opted to stay in Houston to try everything. Mind you, we are from California. We are all of Asian descent. So now here we are 2 years later and I'm finally writing a review (my bad) mostly because I can't stop thinking about this restaurant! We don't have anything like this in terms of individual hot pot PLUS the conveyor belt. Our group of 3 plus one other small group encompassed the entire restaurant. Mind you this was during the height of the pandemic. I wish they had one of these in Northern California. The food was good and fresh. Everything looked great on the belt. Which was odd since there were only 6 guests. The service was great. We all could have had our own wait staff during our time there. They were all very nice and accommodating. Not a single complaint other than nothing like this is Nor Cal.

Yelp
Chiba Hot Pot is by far the worst hot pot restaurant I've experienced and I've been to many around the country. First, their prices for all you can eat are around $15.00 more than any other comparable venue where I've dined. Secondly, their skewered fare is inedible, tasteless and tough as nails. Third, traditional hot pot restaurants boil your broth in a huge pot but Chiba's pot is small and inhibits the contents from cooking properly. Hence, much of the meat and large pieces of vegetables especially the broccoli don't have enough time to thoroughly cook. Then there is your serving bowl suited for a cup of miso and not much more. Way too small. You're constantly transferring the contents of the pot to the tiny bowl instead of being able to ladle the contents of the entire pot to the serving bowl. Chiba is gimmicky with its revolving conveyor belt of ingredients and little meal trains that stop at your booth. Authentic hot pot restaurants are not cheesy like Chiba. See photos taken at another hot pot restaurant out of state illustrating size of bowls, hot plate, serving utensils provided and where one selects various items for their soup. Besides it's cleanliness Chiba misses all the marks and warrants two thumbs down for the following reasons: 1. Aura/cool vibe = antiseptic and non-existent 2. Quality of food = poor 3. Price = overpriced 4. Presentation = see comments above

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Chiba Hot Pot for awhile, located in the NW Suburbs of Houston you don't have much hot pot buffet selections at all so trying can't hurt if it's a hit. Looks like I'll continue to travel to Bellaire Chinatown or to the city if I'm looking to get buffet style hot pot. While an interesting concept, I was a bit confused by the concept at first - and I was not explained what we should grab off the belt or what to order. Basically you select your meats off the paper menu, you can also choose your "cooked" plates off the menu as well like chicken wings and bbq stick items. As far as hot pot broth goes - soup taste was ok. Now the items off the belt, not sure how long some of those items were going around - I was very hesitant getting some items strictly due to its looks. The hot dog sausage you can't go wrong in the hot pot, it was good. Some of the greens however looked like it's been there for awhile. The chicken wings were ok, definitely be prepared to wait as they cook them fresh, order more than 2 orders at a time , 1 order of 2 wings is not enough. The bbq sticks and ribs were just ok, definitely secondary - definitely don't come here to be blown away by the bbq here. Overall, it was an ok meal. Interesting concept with the conveyer belt and the seating, but I think I'll stick to what's tried and true in the city when craving hot pot buffet.

Yelp
My wife and I had dinner here Saturday, Apr 29th. We arrived around 5:30 and were seated immediately. Each person has their own burner and pot of soup (they have four broths to choose from). We sat along the conveyor, so as different items came by we could choose what we liked and add it to the broth. My wife made use of the dipping sauce station; it gave you various sauces you could combine for dipping foods as you ate. I skipped that, as the soup was enough for me. We each ordered the mushroom broth. I added bok choy, cabbage, chicken, carrots, and mushrooms. It was very tasty. My wife is more of a seafood fan, so she added vegetables and shrimp to hers. The meats are ordered in advance, like the broth. Staff bring out the soup, while the meats were delivered on a "bullet train," above the conveyor. There was a fishy smell when we came in, but there are a number of seafood items on the conveyor. I was able to ignore it. FYI, the conveyor is closed in and refrigerated. You open small doors to take the items you want. The place has been here for a while, and it was getting very crowded when we left around 7pm. We're used to hot pot places where the dining party shares one pot of soup, so this was new. We'll most likely be back.

Yelp
I had never been to a hot pot restaurant, so trying it at this place for the first time has raised the bar a bit high for any future places. They have a conveyor belt with items you can add to the broth, and some items like raw meat, fried items or grilled meat have to be ordered from the server. These items also come to you via a little train that goes around. Our server, even though super busy still checked on us and made sure we were good and was very nice and helpful at explaining how their menu worked. Overall the place is also very clean and will continue to visit them in the future.

Yelp
I've only ever done hot pot once before in Orlando. I have to confess it's still a little overwhelming to me. This restaurant is awesome because they have a refrigerated belt that circulates all of the add ins for the soup. As well as a little train that comes to your station to deliver fresh raw meat. They also have a bar where you can build your own sauce as well as a couple small desserts. The staff was very friendly and helpful as long as you flag them down they are willing to get you more meat whether it's raw or grilled. This was a great experience.

Yelp
So this place was super good, was a pricy on the weekend just a bit, but you get what you pay for the food was delicious the soup was savory and the meats were really fresh, first time that I have ever come to an establishment like this or ate this kinda food but it was so good they got crab, shrimp, frog legs if you like? They had lamb and beef and chicken and short ribs too.... the waitresses could be a little more attentive at times so that's why they get a 4 but if I could I would give them a 4.5

Yelp
This is the only ayce revolving hot pot I've had. The screwers from the dinner section are per good, my favorite is the squid tentacles. There are a good variety of sauces and options for your personal hot pot. Remember to ask for thin sliced meat!

Yelp
We had been here on grand opening. Let me tell you, they had improved 10x! Great work guys! Excellent food, prices and services! Nicely improved with the broths! Highly recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
INCREDIBLE in a word! Chiba offers quality food, large variety, caring and helpful service and unique atmosphere. We traveled from Katy and we're not disappointed. We each had different broths from chicken mild to mushroom and medium. We then selected quite a few meats, both prepared and non-prepared (cook in your soup). My daughter had the most of all (octopus, beef, chicken, shrimp, fish, clams, mussels, tofu, fish tofu, scallops, fish balls, veggies of all sorts) and udon. I loved the skewers of chicken and wings as well! Then came the desserts! Oh, and your meat comes delivered on a cool train! The rotation of food is well designed and easy to get but also hard to decide. Enjoy!

Yelp
I love this place! Literally one of my favorite date night spots. I can do all you can eat and not feel guilty because nothing is too fatty. Soup is really good, and the grilled options are good as well! It's a cool little place to take friends and family who are visiting as well

Yelp
Very first time here and first time experiencing a restaurant as this. It was great and to just watch the dishes of all add ons just coasted on down the table like a choo-choo train. It was awesome and tasty thank you .

The food here is good it's 30$ per person and it's all you can eat so basically you don't get full off the hot pot you get full of the grilled stuff !! service is good they help you and always attended the whole place it's self is nice

Yelp
I came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised! At first, I was nervous about the individual hot pots instead of the large shared hot pot, but it was a nice experience for me and my friend to have separate spice levels and still share. I had so much fun pulling food from the rotator. Staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, a great experience! My only downside is I wish there had been tongs with the raw meat. I do not like placing it in with my chopsticks.

Yelp
The people are sweet and the service is good But the food sometimes looks like it's been sitting on the conveyor belt for some time. The broth is good but I personally am comparing to Shabuzone and it's just not near as good

Yelp
Chiba Hot Pot is on FM1960 at N Eldridge, at the end of that shopping plaza. We've gone twice and enjoyed both times. The employees all wear masks and they're all very nice and attentive. It's an individual hot pot concept with all the ingredients traveling on a conveyor belt. Most of the booths and seats are positioned around the conveyor belt so that you can grab items as they pass you by on the belt. There are a list of hot items you can order from the kitchen, like shrimp skewers, fried chicken wings, Korean BBQ short ribs. These items will be delivered by a train that stops at your table; you take the food and press a button for the train to return to kitchen- pretty neat idea! Both times we've gone, the service has been great. May was our waitress and she was extremely friendly and attentive. The dessert bar has a few sweet items and fruits. Next to it is also a bunch of sauces and seasonings like garlic, hoisin sauce, fish sauce, chili peppers that you can add to your soup broth or mix for dipping. I would recommend this place for all-you-can-eat individual hot pot. The ingredients look fresh, washed and plentiful. The conveyor belt has everything from oysters, shrimp, tofu, and tons of greens. For about $24 per person, it's definitely worth a try.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised - I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about most things coming on a conveyer belt, but it worked pretty well! I enjoyed getting to have my own pot, but I do think that everyone having their own absolutely takes away from people having space to grab things they want due to the lack of table space. I also wasn't too fond of having to ask someone to grab things for me. Everything for the hot pot tasted delicious, though, and it's close by.

Yelp
We were having dinner and the restaurant was about half full and the cleaning lady was with a yellow bucket mapping the floors and using bleach. How do you do that while you have customers in the restaurant? The service was not good and the food was very poor. I will not come back! I recommend Kpot at 249. Same concept, but everything much better.

Yelp
Judging from the few reviews that this place has, it must be a relatively new hot pot restaurant in the area. This place is about an hour away in Cypress, from where I'm at, but to me I believe is worth the drive. Upon arriving here, it was quite packed, but we were relatively seated quickly. I really enjoyed the experience here as it is similar to Kura Revolving Belt Sushi - thus it is AYCE and meats and other ingredients to add to your hot pot is brought to you through a conveyor belt system or train. I started with the pork broth hot pot and added garlic sauce with scallions and a bit of chili oil to spice it up more. You can select the level of spiciness for any broth you choose. In order to order the meats, you pick the amount of orders you'd like on a sheet of paper and you can also order appetizers like kalbi and chicken skewers, etc. The other ingredients will slowly come to you on the conveyor belt, from udon noodles to mushrooms to mint/basil leaves etc. They give you a decently sized hot pot and whenever you're falling low on the broth, they are always quick to refill it for you as well. The waiters and waitresses are always there to help as well in order to speed up the process if you just want specific ingredients and meats, and don't want to wait on the cool train or conveyor belt system (but why? It's part of the experience!) Overall, I really enjoyed everything that this restaurant had to offer and am definitely making the trip out again. If you're in the area, then this place is definitely worth making the stop for!
