Chiba

Service was slow and we ended up canceling one dish. The sushi is below average as anywhere in New Orleans, I guess. Fish didn’t taste fresh and even the ginger was dry and looked like days old. Won’t bother again.

A must visit! Chiba offers a unique New Orleans flare to Japanese foods (e.g., a sake inspired martini to an amazing octopus ceviche with Cajun spices). I've been around the country and sampled sushi. Chiba definitely has some of the best specialty sushi. Also, always order a side dip of eel sauce.

Great food and great customer service. Everything I had was delicious. Top faves for me were def the st Charles roll, tuna nachos and the octopus ceviche. Will be going back.

Had a fancy meal. This place is always solid. Fish is always fresh and service is on point. Our server Tina was fantastic! Cheers yall

Every time I travel down to New Orleans (usually a few times a year), I make a habit of stopping into Chiba for dinner. I love to sit at the bar and chat with the staff and have them make food and drink suggestions. I have never been disappointed in what I've ordered. The sushi is so fresh! And the bartender and wait staff are always friendly and welcoming. I like the neighborhood vibe and I can't wait to go there again.

The food was really good and the service was good but the size of the rolls were pretty small. In comparison to other sushi spots like Sake the rolls at Chiba were almost half the size and the price is more. I ended up ordering more appetizers after my meal because I wasn't full from the rolls. The appetizers I had was gyoza and the tempura short ribs at the end. Both were really good.

Hands down the best Sushi in New Orleans! The owner and his staff take excellent care of everyone. The dishes are innovative and unique and I haven't had one thing I wouldn't order again. Definitely try this place if you haven't already!

BEST QUALITY AND SERVICE! Chiba served Sushi at my daughter's wedding on June 25 and it was FABULOUS! The owner was incredibly conscientious and went above and beyond. He arrived at the reception earlier than we requested. The display was gorgeous and the quality of the food was excellent! I received so many compliments. I cannot say enough great things about Chiba. Please try the restaurant and book them for your catering event! You will be so pleased. I cannot wait to have my next meal at Chiba!
