Google
Fresh, delicious, and so filling! Ordered spicy chicken plates, half gyro half chicken plate, and fried mushrooms & jalapeno poppers. The tabbouleh was incredible, and all of the ingredients were crisp. Portions are so large; you can definitely share a plate. Staff acted like family, and the kitchen was spotless.

Rickey Hurst

Google
To me hands down the best place in Nashville to get gyros. Definitely fast and friendly service every single time I go and that like 2-3 a week. Clean restaurant with good atmosphere.

Garrett Lantz

Google
Awesome, simple place with amazing food.

Google
Moved here 2 weeks ago and wanted to eat something that did not involve a chain and I have to admit that CSG#3 does not disappoint! I ordered the Gyro Chicken combo plate and it was a good portion for my standards and it tasted great. The staff was friendly and the cashier even spotted me a penny when I was short. I will return!!!!!!!

Google
Drive Thru is a scam. Very shady here. I've been here a few times and the food is pretty good. However, it always feels like they purposely try to short your order or scam you in some way. They have never give you a receipt and they get visibly annoyed when you ask. Another scam they run is when you order a side of sauce like tzatziki their response is always "yea, I got you" and then they NEVER provide it. Ever. When you check your bag and ask for the Tzatziki again they get frustrated and then go get it. Another scam they run is by telling you 'it comes with a drink' when in reality it is an extra $1. They get away with this by not providing a receipt. If you go here, count all your items and CHECK YOUR RECEIPT.

Google
PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE!!! My first time and my last time eating there. The guy was making my food was rushing my order and making it sloppy. He asked if I wanted fries and drink I said no and he was upset and I almost walked out. I should have walked out. He barely put any meat on my gyro sandwich and toppings. The bread was falling apart and taste old and the meat was cold. I will never eat there again!!!! By far the worst customer experience and worst gyro ever!!!!🤢🤮

Google
It's been YEARS since I've been here. After last evening's visit, I regret that. The staff was incredibly kind, the Gyro Combo was amazing! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Michael H.

Yelp
Loved it!!! I was driving by on the way to somewhere else and saw it - it just had that look of being great. I came back later and was not disappointed!

Yelp
I have no clue why this place has such high reviews. Maybe folks haven't had good Greek food, cuz this lacked everything and I do mean everything. I ordered the 2 meat platter w/ falafel and chicken. The chicken was chicken breasts tenderloins, which is not the juiciest piece of meat. It wasn't rotisserie. Next the tzatziki wasn't seasoned well at all and I didn't get any olives in my plate. The pita was thrown into the thrown into the microwave, not on a plate or wax paper, just pita on the microwave turning glass. My plate was made in a rush & it lacked flavor. This was my first meal of my Nashville trip and sadly it was the worst.

Christina W.

Yelp
Great deal, great food, and great service! They even have a drive thru! The gyro plate is only $8 and it includes gyro meat, rice, salad and a pita. Everything had great flavor and large helpings. The gyro meat was juicy and the rice flavorful and buttery. The Greek salad dressing has the perfect amount of vinaigrette and tang and a good amount of feta cheese. It pairs wells with the creamy Taziki and soft pita bread. The employees are also very kind and personable. We will definitely will be coming back!

Jenna L.

Yelp
So delicious. I love this place especially for hang over food. The service is excellent and prices are great. Drive thru is great. I've been to their other locations, all great!

Kelley B.

Yelp
What a sweet little family business. Their food is great and they give big portions. They are family run and seem to really care about their customer service from what I've experienced. I always get the combo platter and really like their salad ingredients that come with it. It's in the take out rotation for us now.

Rick W.

Yelp
Must be good. I've been going there ever since I moved down here 20 years ago that should speak volume.

Hilary H.

Yelp
Great food, friendly service, good prices. I also love that they have a drive through- convenient when I have the kiddos with me!

Will M.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing authetic greek food. went through the drive through and they were very quick and very nice and welcoming not knowing it was my first time. Ive had quite a bit of authentic greek food in all different states and cities, but this is by far the best. BEST HUMMUS AND PITA BREAD IVE EVER HAD!!!!!!!!

Tami W.

Yelp
SOLID! Solid! Solid! I mean WOW! All the flavors were spot on! The gyro meat was just awesome and the people are so awesome!

Lucy O.

Yelp
Currently operating from food truck next to permanent building while they are renovating. Since it is in some way "food truck", we were not expected much from them. But it was a nice surprise. The amount of meet was a lot in both sandwich and in gyro plate. A lot of falafel was in sandwich, as well. Not only quantity, it was very fresh, and we absolutely enjoyed our lunch. This place will be our frequent lunch spot.

D B.

Yelp
SO MUCH FOOD! And mine was excellent. On my next visit I will know the menu better. You can tell the people that come here often know how to order and love what they get. I had the gyro sandwich, but my friends had a combo plate. It was more than enough for two on each plate. The guy taking orders seems a little gruff, but I think he's just pushing the line along for fast service. I'll definitely be back!

Vinny C.

Yelp
This place is just rock solid. Grilled chicken platter always delicious. Great chicken nuggets, cheesesteak, gyro etc. Super nice guys. In and out in 10 min. A takeout staple

Ariel F.

Yelp
Great spot! Yummy and fresher than king solomons gyro down the street. One big tip- go there and order in person-you'll save a lot of $$! The prices on the printed picture menu (as you can see in a lot of the images here on Yelp) are significantly lower than ordering thru yelp's "takeout or delivery" option. A big difference! This is apparently because third party apps (like grub hub) take 30-40%, making places like this have the spike up their prices to make a profit. But if you order in person that's not an issue- and they are all very nice. Also, even tho it's a food truck, you can pull up in your car and order from your window, and then they bring it to your car.

Max K.

Yelp
Thank you for the great food and quality meals you all cook Great spot and nice and friendly staff I recommended them to my friends Great East Nashville spot.

Veronica C.

Yelp
Not a bad place to grab a quick lunch. They are for the most part fast and their food is decent. I haven't stay to eat there so I always get to go. My only concern is the sauce lol it sticks to the paper and it's a waste! You should give it on the side when it's a to go order so we get all the sauce in our bellies and not on the paper. Price is not bad for a Gyro sandwich, fries and a small drink $7. The rice looks good but I haven't try it. They have a drive-thru that I may use next time.

Latti L.

Yelp
via uber eats to the Gaylord. Ordered gyros combo platter with lamb and chicken, which comes with a healthy portion of rice and a tiny salad that was really tasty. The lamb was fine and had plenty of tzatziki sauce. The chicken was actually tenders that were marinated -They were tasty but dry. Also got an order of hummus that was tiny but had good flavor. Baklava was good. Everything was fresh. Good price. TLDR: Food was on par for Greek but nothing to make me pick this place over another.

Angie L.

Yelp
I hadn't been there in a couple of years and was excited to see how things were. I was happy to see that they now have "new" tables, likely purchased at auction after an Asian place closed somewhere in the area. I was thrilled to see that they still have their Long John Silver's sword door handles. I guess some would call their décor 'eclectic' or 'fusion' but I'm not sure. One thing I know, you can't eat the décor. Which brings me to the food. I got a chicken salad plate, which started with a bed of lettuce mix, including tomatoes, carrot chips, etc. That part was fresh and ok. The thing that made the salad super yummy was the ample amount of grilled chicken strips, which were perfectly cooked. I had them add black olives, feta cheese, and a little ranch dressing. With bread on side and water to drink, my lunch came out to exactly $7.00, which is about what you would pay for a warmed frozen beef patty and special sauce with fries at the chain next door. The guys running the place are nice and friendly, and I didn't have to wait long in line, even though they were kind of busy. I will go back soon and get the chicken sandwich combo, with fries. That was my old favorite, and I bet it will still be when I return.

Mike T.

Yelp
You wouldn't know it from the ran down exterior, but inside lies some of the best Greek street food staples. From spot on hummus to deliciouso gyros you cant go wrong. Staff is friendly, with just the right amount of accent in their voices to scream authentic. Don't sleep on the lemonade it's on pointe. Sit down in the dining area and enjoy a poster of Marie Menounos holding a gyro, something she has never actually eaten and devour some Greek, it's worth it!

Taylor M.

Yelp
This is my favorite gyro spot in town. It's an absolute dive and the workers behind the counter are definitely a bit abrasive but once you find your rhythm in ordering here it's delicious. They mean well and are really kind otherwise. My goto here is the lamb gyro pocket sandwich with rice and ranch on the bottom. For $5 you can't go wrong. However, I will add it does get a little messy so be prepared with some napkins.

Natashia C.

Yelp
Got Uber eats, the food was hot and super fresh. The bread was delicious the best gyro u have had.

Tewl L.

Yelp
Two minute drive from my work. Staff are friendly and fly. Food is fresh and always tasty. Mango Tea is so so very good. It's a staple for all of us here at work. Yum! Cravings: Gyro and mango tea Disappointments: Atmosphere

Powpow B.

Yelp
Never dissatisfied covalent with drive-thru easily accessible from either direction and food is on point everytime..

Blair C.

Yelp
The gyro plate with cucumber sauce is so good that I would take this mans name and give it to my child. To say that this food is life changing would be selling it short. I hope that everyone who works here is having the best time of their lives and I hope that they live in comfort for the rest of their lives. As a matter of fact, if the owner of Chicago style was gay, my child would be his child too (don't tell my wife) anyway go get a gyro plate with cucumber sauce

Jenna F.

Yelp
On our last day in Nashville, we decided to take a break from the traditional southern food of barbecue and fried chicken. So glad we did else we wouldn't have discovered this little gem. We had the Gyro Platter with Greek salad and a side of Hummus. It was the perfect meal before we headed to the airport.

Jake M.

Yelp
Introduced me to the idea of ranch on gyro and now i'm NEVER going back to taziki sauce. You heard me! Never ever! Forever ever ever! But in all honesty its a really good spot that gives you a lot of food. The chicken is slightly dry but the lamb is really really good

Rachel T.

Yelp
Inexpensive yet delicious. A bit of a drive away from the main part of Nashville. We went on our way out of town. Good size portions, seems to be family owned. One tip, the children's chicken tenders were just Greek marinated chicken breast pieces-not the typical tenders you find at restaurants. They were good, but my son said they were too spicy so the man graciously swapped it for the nuggets.

Bryce A.

Yelp
This place was deliciousness bundled up into one beautifully wrapped gyro! This is my second time coming here, and I would HIGHLY recommend getting the gyros. They are unbelievably good! This most recent time I had the Falafel Plate just to spice things up a bit! AND let me tell you, it was mouth watering! Another bonus to this restaurant is the great service! In fact, me and my siblings came in wearing Christmas outfits! Keep in mind it was the middle of April! (I know I'm weird) And everyone was laughing and have a great time! Your meal comes out hot and steamy and surprisingly fast! You also have to options to customize your meal by adding toppings and sauces! The only thing I didn't like about my visit was how smokey and steamy it was from the grill. Overall I had a wonderful meal! And I would definitely come here again!

Sarah Y.

Yelp
Food is fresh and service was great. I went through the drive through and ordered the Philly combo plate. I'll drive out of my way to eat here over any other Greek restaurant!

Donielle J.

Yelp
I found the gyro and rice to be very bland. The cucumber/onion and Tabouli salad was pretty good. Other than that, I was disappointed overall.

Nicole P.

Yelp
For the price, Chicago style has decent gyros. However, in comparison to other gyro places in other cities, it's just not that great. We have eaten there many times and something with our order is wrong probably 1 in every 3 orders. I usually order the gyro salad and sometimes they forget the dressing on the salad or they give you ranch instead of tzatziki. Always make sure to check your food before you leave. It's not expensive though, so it's not a bad spot to get a quick gyro in town. It's probably the best for your money in Nashville, but if you've had really great gyros elsewhere you'll most likely be a bit disappointed.

Andy K.

Yelp
As I've mentioned, I have been on a gyro kick for a few weeks. I've tried several places, but this is hands down the best so far. I live a block from the farmer's market, and do not know why I don't go there more. It is a typical greek gyro bar. The meats are fresh and tender, fresh veggies, the dressings are awesome. The employees are always smiling, and happy to cater to my picky requests. Price is unbeatable. Value is incredible. 10 stars if I could.

Amanda C.

Yelp
Picked up some take out - the Falafel meal with fries and a drink. First time stopping by Will (the cashier) was awesome! Friendly and helpful! Really enjoyed the falafel and the mango tea!

Peter H.

Yelp
wonderful eats! their gyro plate (lamb, rice, salad, pita bread, tzatziki dressing) is the BOMB DOT COM! 8 bucks! 2 meals for me.

Patrick R.

Yelp
I am a Greek food junkie, and this little place is pretty satisfactory as far as a good local place to get hummus and falafel goes. I'm relatively certain Chicago Style used to be a Captain D's or a Long John Silver's (hence the pirate-style sabers on the doors), but the authenticity remains. Chicago Style Gyros certainly isn't the classiest of joints, but the dining area is comfy and the staff is friendly and hilarious. It's cheap, and the combos are delicious. Frequent customers seem to get preferential treatment, so if you go enough you're likely to get exceptionally hearty portions and other freebies. The carryout containers seem to hold larger portions, and you're certainly not missing any ambiance by hitting the drive through, so I recommend doing so. Somewhat ironically, the gyros are actually one of their poorest items. I don't typically mind them messy, but they tend to be pretty weakly constructed. The boys don't skimp on the sauce, however, and the falafel and combo plate are up to par. They're open relatively late (10:00 PM I believe, but I'll check on that), so I'd recommend Chicago Style Gyros as a good joint to swing by and pick up a late dinner. And be on the lookout for the Red Greek--that guy is awesome.

Ryan P.

Yelp
Came here late one night and did the drive-in to take back home, I picked up the Chicken and beef combo plate and it was a good choice. The Price for the combo was very reasonable and the amount of food you got with it was great, Rice Tabouleh and Pitas all included in the price. The Taziki sauce was very good and I wish I would have asked for more because one cup is definitely not for an entire takeout plate, I need a bowl of that stuff. If I am ever craving greek food while driving down Gallatin again this will definitely be my stop.

Brooke J.

Yelp
Was casual and delicious, loved the horchata. I like the pita a lot! It was like a pita pocket instead of wrapped. However, 3 stars because the food could have been hotter. Service was the most friendly and we really enjoyed the owner.

John T.

Yelp
3.5 I used to live in Chicago (8 years). I've eaten in Greektown many many times. I have no idea what a 'Chicago-Style Gyro' is.* So, on one chilly Thursday evening, I found myself speeding up & down Gallatin with burgers on my mind. Traffic frustrated my pole position ways and during my stop, I spied CSG. I'd seen it many times and thought 'tonight is as good as a time to try' than ever so... I stopped in. I walked in and there weren't many people in the dining room. This is good & bad. Good because this (usually) means that the wait time will be minimized. Bad because empty restaurants sometimes come with a reason. I committed to drinking copious amounts with booze with my food (to kill anything that might try and kill me) and kept it moving. I asked the guy behind the counter what made the gyro Chicago-style. He mentioned something about the bread that I didn't quite catch/follow and at the risk of having him explain it again, I just decided to order. I ordered a combo plate. This came with chicken, gyro meat, rice, tabouleh salad, and pita. Everything was solid, if not ground-breaking. The chicken was served with ranch dressing, which made me give a side-eye. For reals? Ranch? I mean, ranch dressing *is* deliciously addicting... but... for reals? Ranch dressing? In an ethnic establishment? The side-eye was warranted. Thankfully, the gyro came with tzatziki. The meat was a bit saltier than my usual taste but when paired with the rice & pita, more than edible. Tabouleh can be an afterthought and this tabouleh was right on par with that trend... but it wasn't bad tasting. By the time I was done eating, I was full, satisfied, not in debt, and no where closer to understanding what a Chicago-style gyro was than when I stopped in. I guess some things are meant to be mysteries. *I still don't.

Elliot S.

Yelp
For as clean and friendly as this place is, and for as good as the chicken and rice were, I can't get over dumping ranch dressing on my gyro meat like it was a chef salad. I mean, I haven't lived in Chicago for almost eight years, but I'm pretty sure that I never went to a single gyro shop that just assumed you wanted ranch dressing on your gyro. I'm pretty sure asking for ranch dressing on a gyro might get you shot in some parts of Chicago. The bathrooms looked like they'd been given prison show, i.e. Hosed down and left to dry and the falafel was pretty bland and tasteless, but on the plus side it didn't have ranch dressing on it.

Kanden D.

Yelp
I love stopping by here on my way home from work to grab a quick, yummy, inexpensive gyro combo. The food is tasty and the service is always super friendly and inviting. Try the grape leaves!

Megan M.

Yelp
Pretty awful. The meat was dry and bland. The pita tasted like store bought and not fresh. Instead of tzatziki we got some mayonnaise based sauce (it might have even been straight up mayo) globbed on top of the gyro. The gyros had a little meat on the bottom, stuffed full of the shitty shredded lettuce that falls of the food when you take a bite and then some more dry meat. It was disappointing and gross.

Jonathan P.

Yelp
Had to go here today to fix what another Greek restaurant messed up. *my lunch* Solid food - nothing extra special. But it is what it says it is.

Ken S.

Yelp
Always fast and friendly service, plus the food is delicious! Stop lining up around the block for tourist traps when there are plenty of gems like this already in east Nashville

Julia A.

Yelp
This is my go-to when I'm not in the mood to cook and need something quick and easy. The guys who run this place are always so kind and the food is consistent every time. My husband and I have been frequenting this place for years. We get a chicken plate and it's plenty of food for the both of us. Highly recommend!

Brant C.

Yelp
Oh hello there, Nashville. You are my new friend and my new home. We must get to know one another better. On my first evening in Music City, my new roommates suggested we hit up their favorite greek joint, a tradition of sorts whenever they have Nashville newbies in town. I've enjoyed the food of the Greeks in many cities across this great country. I've got Mediterranean fare in my blood. Suffice to say, I was intrigued. I'm happy to say, I was not disappointed. This isn't a place you're going to 'wow' a first date (so, don't), but it could become a favorite place to grab a bite or carry out after the tenth. Honestly, if she still likes you by then, you're probably past the point where choosing a bad restaurant could cause catastrophic failure anyways. It does indeed look like it used to be a fast food joint, both inside and out. That's ok, most of my favorite restaurants rely on their food, not the glitz and glamour of the building. (After all, it's what's on the inside that counts, right?) I opted for the Gyro Salad. Im not a "salad guy" per se, however I had just been on the road for the past couple weeks stuffing my gut with every processed meat, cheese, and saturated fat various southeastern drive-through towns could offer up, so I wanted something a little lighter. The servings were substantial with several strips of seasoned lamb laid out across a leafy salad bed alongside their significant other, the requiste gyro flat bread. Tzatziki sauce worked its way into every bite, tying together the tasty, inexpensive experience. Good food and new friends in a new place always make for a memorable occasion. The people working the joint recognized my roommate, even making an effort to say hello and goodbye. Familiar faces get familiar smiles and that's a bonus worthy of my fourth star. I'll be back to give the falafel a go. It's close proximity to my 'hood all but ensures I'll add my face to the list of familiar regulars.

Anthony C.

Yelp
Out of the plethora of Greek restaurants that line Gallatin Road, Chicago Style Gyros is the standout winner. First of all, the staff is very friendly and efficient, which is a great start when running through the drive-thru. They have the norm as far as the menu goes: gyros, kebabs, hummus, falafel, stuffed grape leaves, baklava, etc. While their menu looks like the rest of the places you might find on this stretch, the quality, presentation, consistency, and flavor are what make Chicago Style the best. I usually get the combo plate, which is a mix of gyro and chicken, taboulleh salad (they offer a side salad, but the taboulleh is fantastic), toasted pita, and dressing. The flavor and quality of the gyro is the best I've had anywhere in Nashville. They serve large slices, which is better than the dried out chippy pieces you often get at other places. The chicken is always fresh, tender and well seasoned. The only reason I gave them four stars is because of the rice. When everything is so good, the mediocre (at best) rice reminds me of the overcooked chicken flavored rice from the box, and seems like a mismatch for the other fresh, delicious flavors on the plate. Other than that small complaint, I give them five stars on all of the other criteria that you look for in a gyro place.

Anna A.

Yelp
This is my go to place for Greek. I can't say that it is the best I have had but for convenience and consistency, it rocks my world basically. For one thing, they have a drive through (must be an hold over from Long john silvers) which makes my lazy ass happy. In addition, the portions are plentiful, the prices great and it the food actually taste pretty darn good. I always mean to get a gyro but I end up with one of the combo plates. They like the one with the gyro meat which comes with a salad, yellow rice, and fresh pita.

Maverick M.

Yelp
Very friendly staff, chicken was more than excellent . So tasty, salad was fresh . Rice was perfect also during my visit customers keep coming nonstop so it tells me they have good reputation, yes I'll be back for sure

Kristen F.

Yelp
I really like this place! The chicken plate is awesome, but the portion is huge (not that that is a negative) I love that I can get drive-thru greek food, what's better than that?

Dylan R.

Yelp
Can't say enough about this place. Solid to the max! The spicy fajita chicken plate is amazing. Solid food with great service.

Laurie S.

Yelp
I LOVE Greek food (almost as much as I love Indian food) and Chicago Style makes me love it even more! We have never eaten inside, I usually just grab food through the drive-thru and they have never failed to serve me some amazing gyros! At first I would get the gyro combo but now I mainly go for the plate because I get rice and a small salad and it's 2 meals worth in one box. The guys that work there are so nice and even my 3 year old asks for the chicken rice and pitas. Now, if only I could remember how to pronounce 'gyro'.
