Chicago White Sox

My son and I were in town for a baseball conference, where I was a scheduled guest speaker. After the conference, we visited a White Sox game. Despite the team’s rough season, the fans were extremely dedicated and loyal. There was a large crowd that continued cheering for their team. I also observed staff encouraging the fans to keep up the energy. It was a good experience, and even though the team was struggling, the loyalty of the fans was truly admirable—speaking as a Yankees fan. It was also free jersey day.

Much easier to access than Wrigley. Game was relatively empty as the White Sox aren't a huge draw. We enjoyed our visit. Wish they had a little nicer food options, but I suppose it is a baseball game.

Lots of history with this team! Even though the White Sox get treated like the Cubs step child they are phenomenal in their own right!! After all they did win a world series in the present day before the Cubs!

Go Sox! Very clean stadium, great food and beverage services available. All the staff was very friendly. The park is absolutely beautiful- especially at night when the likes come on. Nostalgic statues and photo ops all around the park.

Nice ballpark good amount of food selections I suggest getting the foot long Chicago Style hot dog. Plenty of other food options some of the better selections I’ve seen at ballparks and it had full bars located around the park.

You can't ask for a better ball field!!! Easy accommodations. Very kind associates. Lots of selections for shopping. Awesome food!!! There's not a bad seat in the house! Wonderful photo opportunities!! We are Southsiders ALL DAY LONG!!!!!

Great experience watching a baseball game! The venue is spacious and offers many views, amazing food options, and friendly staff! The nacho “helmet” is a great deal and offers a lot of food for the price! The parking is close and manageable, allowing easy access to the stadium.

My first time here and it was soo fun! I've never been to a major league game but this was a time! It was def windy so bring a jacket. Beautiful stadium. Be prepared to do a lot of walking!

The stadium is nice and our wheelchair accessible seats were good. The only thing I didn't like was the fact they put a chain around the wheelchair seats and a worker needs to open it every time you want to come and go. There are a ton of food options. Employees were overall nice. I would come to this stadium again.

Suns out, hot dog buns out! It was a great day to finally try the 12 foot long hot dog from the Sox stadium! It was 12 ft of delicious ! Also pictured was our way of making nachos healthy (everything but the chips) at Bueno's Nachos they were super sweet of making me a rendition of a ballpark salad it was VERY YUMMY and super easy to eat! We also got the Cuban sandwich along with Ballpark Nachos!

Give us what's listed on the menu especially when it's 13$ for freaking fries. White Sox play crappy and there foods even worse never coming to another game. Good luck in your season #booo Honestly wish I could give you guys a zero it's terrible

Incredible Stadium!!! Great thing, you are told that you do not need to bring cash!!! HOWEVER, as a woman, the ladies restroom requires MONEY to get pads and tampons, NOT CREDIT CARDS!! If you want folks to have a CASH FREE EXPERIENCE, THENNN MAKE EVERYTHING CASH FREE!!! Clearly, a woman wasn't invited in the conversation!!! FOLKS DO BETTER!!!

I caught an afternoon game on the tail end of a business trip. The parking was 30.00. It was well organized and about a five minute walk to the stadium. The box office and security and gate attendants were kind and helpful. I sat on the third base line in decent seats. The game was fun to watch. I was able to knock out another ball park and can cross Guarantee Rate Field off of my list of MLB ball parks. I had a meatball sub that I do not recommend. That is the reason for the loss of star. I have been to many MLB games and the food at most others has been so much better. It is a nice stadium. If you haven't been it is worth trying. Go Mariners!!

Came on the 4th of July and how fun it was! This was my first time going since becoming in a wheelchair and was a bit nervous. I was pleasantly surprised! The stadium was pretty accessible! There is only one accessible entrance so that takes a while and because of that we missed the giveaway (we were there way in advance). The seats were great in section 121. So much food! I went with some chicken fingers & fries and also some rainbow ice cream. The bathrooms were as clean as can be. With only one handicap stall of course there's always a wait. A crew member cleaned the stall before I entered.

I was looking at CBS Sports's power rankings earlier today and a video was playing in the background. I stared at the screen in utter horror. As of June 3, 2024, you have the worst record, the worst offense, the 2nd worst defense, and the worst run differential! You are 15-45 right now and last year, the Athletics were 12-48 at this point. But the Athletics finished 50-112 and you are well on the way to doing worse. Make moves! Trade your ridiculously bad players to the Royals and Tigers! UPDATE: I made an Excel document where the Rockies go 41-121 and they finish 7 games behind the 2nd worst team. Guess what? IT IS ONLY JUNE 6, 2024 AND YOU ARE 6 GAMES BEHIND THE 2ND WORST TEAM! Went to a Friday night game Very affordable seats behind the visiting teams ( Detroit Tigers this night ). We were from out of town so this was great . An Elvis ( impersonator obviously) mini concert and fireworks after the game made for an amazing , albeit late night and good value . Pros : Ticket price ( 3rd party ) Food quality ( hot god, nachos and hamburger) Cons : Small seats Note : almost a mile walk from the Red Line to our seats .

The stadium was very clean but it's an open air stadium so make sure you get something in the shade. Clear bag policy. We tried to walk to a different level during the 7th inning stretch and the security guards wouldn't let anyone walk around on a different floor. I really loved the fireworks after every home run.

Although Im a Cubs fan, I have no animosity towards the White Sox and their fans. I go to a game yearly with my son, whose a huge White Sox fan. Its a good chance to bond with my kid. We attend other sports live, too. I must say many things are better here than on the North side. The food, the beer selection, the ease of getting here and exiting the ballpark and driving away. The women? They are cute here but, also at Wrigley. Im not gonna say the team obviously ,but the general experience here is better. So I cant give 5 stars cause Im a Cubs fan, but will say always a great experience here.

Wow what a major problem buying tickets through Ticketmaster and the white Sox website. I purchased tickets on 5/31/2022 for the June 12 2022 game. 9 tickets total for my children and grandkids can go to the game with me. I transferred 6 tickets to my daughter and two to my son. I kept the last ticket for myself. Had my so. Not been a procrastinator this could have been a bigger disaster. My account without any notification or credit to my credit card for the tickets to the game were canceled and resold. When I called the ticket office on Sunday I they said my tickets were good and my son could pick up his two at gate 4 ticket box. When my daughter her husband and four children tried to enter the park they were told the tickets were not valid So instead of spending the quality time with my children and grandkids I got to spend at the box office fixing this situation. Yes we got good seats to the game but it's not how I want to spend my valuable time with my family at a box office. I would love a good explanation for the lack of notice lack of attempt to contact me as the purchaser of said tickets. And why would you resell the tickets and never refund my credit card. Really people from out of town don't buy tickets to White Sox games? You had plenty of time to validate the purchase. This was embarrassing for me and my family.

I personally think Sox's stadium food is much better than the cubs stadium. Is always a good time at the ball game.

This place is fun! Yes, the team is going through some rebuilding  pains, but if you enjoy baseball, it's a nice place to catch a game: easy access, plenty of parking and tickets are available; all at reasonable prices. The food is good & diverse, and the park has a festive feel from the moment you step out of your car. So, if you like baseball, give the White Sox a visit, it is a joyful place; and in years to come, when they make a run for the pennant, you could say you are a long time fan that saw them through the bad times.

We haven't been to a White Sox game in a very long time, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed myself. I was impressed with all the different choices in food and drink at the ballpark. From cuban sandwiches to italian ice, there truly is someting for everyone. We started off in the revolution brewing #SoxSocial tap room with hand made barbacoa and chicken tacos and margaritas. The tap room has a nice balcony area where you can stay and watch the game if you want to instead of your seats. If you download the MLB app, you can get a free White Sox hat in the tap room too! We sat in section 151 which is down the 3rd base line. Our view was really good, but I didn't remember the seats being so uncomfortable and small. The best part of the evening? The White Sox won!

Great stadium! From the layout to the workers, everything was wonderful. There are ample food options and the service was quick. They even had an employee in the bathroom helping to get people in and out quickly. Definitely a major plus! Walking into the stadium, they had all the pictures of the starting lineup for the game. That was a nice touch I hadn't seen before. It is very easy to get here. The train has a stop marked for White Sox Stadium or just follow the crowds. Easy in and out...couldn't ask for more.

Awesome I recommend you be in this place more see this on TV You can't say no to this awesome stadium!

I have been here many times but only checked in this time, when I was with some old friends of mine and their kids. It was family day so we had a good deal on seats. My friends do not eat meat (or they eat only certain meat) so the pizza, fries and ice cream were good options for them. I like the VAST variety of beers now as I can't stand Bud light! The new Kraft Kave is great for exposing local beers. The vodka and margaritas are good too, if pricey. We were too late to run the bases after the game with the kids, but they really enjoyed the batting cages. The rest rooms are well located, well staffed and clean. The lastest giveaways have been awesome (shirts, hoodies, bobbleheads) and I hate to say I sometimes come for those, but with their record they have to do SOMEthing to get folks out there. Looking forward to a WS in 2020 or 2021.

I love the Sox organization. I'm a big fan of Jerry Reinsdorf and what the Sox have done in the community. They never stop looking for ways to win and to bring a fun product to their fans. The food and promotions at the park are among the very best. Putting up the nets is a shame. If you're worried about foul balls, sit in the bleachers or higher up in the stands. I want the opportunity to catch a ball or get an autograph. I really don't like looking through the nets now. You're most expensive seats are now garbage. That said, MLB has made a mistake making the balls and bats livelier. Keep up the great work!

While I enjoyed the company with me at a Sox game today (8/23/23), I have never in my life had a worst experience with any business or organization than with the Sox organization. From having to chase their Group Ticket Sales Executive for links/info for the required electronic tickets, to dealing with the flaws in transmitting tickets using the mandated electronic ticketing system, to the outright lies I was told about their parking/tailgating arrangements, to the rude/ungracious treatment of their lead attendant in Lot B, my experience was HORRIBLE from start to finish. After nearly a decade of planning a group tailgate/game for 30-50 people/year, I'm done. In a pathetic year for the Sox organization, you would think they would do better for their fans who still show up . . . DONE WITH THE CHICAGO WHITE SOX.

While visiting Chicago, we popped in to watch a game. The stadium was clean and the food was ok. Didn't expect much from the food a baseball stadium. The drinks were good, we ordered the spiked lemonade. We had great seats right in front between left field third base. I did like how the stadium had the netting around most the stadium, at least in between the foul poles. It made it a lot easier to watch the game with a little one.

I bought my wife a partial season ticket package for Christmas and have finally come to the conclusion that it was a waste of money. This has been the worst sporting experience in Chicago this year. And I'm a fan! Even worse than the Bears and I quit going to those games years ago. Getting off the Dan Ryan at 31st St is just the beginning of the nightmare. It routinely takes us more than an hour to get from the Dan Ryan exit to the ballpark parking lot because they have no idea whatsoever on how to get people into or out of the parking lots. And this is even on Sunday day games. 2 ticket scanners and only one entrance to a lot that is reserved for pre-sold tickets? Don't you know how many people are coming? My wife grew up about 5 blocks from old Comiskey so we know our way around the city but they have created these tortuous paths that must be followed to get to the parking lots because there is only one way in to each of them. And getting out of the parking lot after a game is like Mad Max. No clear exit traffic flow. So, you might ask, why don't you take public transportation? Well, I'm an old fart with some health issues and I need to take into consideration how far I need to walk. And I live in the western suburbs so taking the Metra downtown, walking over to the Red Line and riding the El to the park is a very long trip. And at 10 pm when the game is over, I would never make it downtown to the final train. And then when I tried to bring my medication into the ballpark they wouldn't let me in with the clear plastic bag in which I was carrying it. I've attended a dozen games this year and when I explain I am carrying my insulin in the bag, no problem. Until last night when they threatened me with banishment if I didn't stop protesting. When I explained that I have used this bag for every game I have attended in the past 2 years, they told me all the other security people were wrong! Really? Then the security person told me to just put my insulin on the ground under my seat. Huh? And I look around the park when we get inside and see women carrying large purses and kids with backpacks. They make it very, very difficult for the ordinary fan. My wife and I love baseball and love going to baseball games. But the White Sox experience has just been a nightmare because they do not seem to know how to run a ballpark or take care of their fans or even care about them. And don't even get me started on the product they put on the field. Outside of a handful of players, they need to clean house from Kenny Williams all the way down to the training staff and scouting department. If Jerry isn't completely embarrassed by the performance of the team and ashamed of the way they treat their fans, I would be very disappointed. The White Sox nation deserves better. They will not see any more of my money.

Unpopular opinion: There's another MLB team in Chicago besides the Cubs. Their name is the Chicago White Sox. The whole reason I started reviewing our pro sports teams is because I accidentally came across my corny ass review of the Sox, that I had no recollection of, from 2009. Reading old reviews your wrote is tantamount to looking at old pictures of yourself where you made questionable fashion choices and whatnot. And yeah, 2005 was a long time ago (their last championship) and they've been mostly a steaming pile of cow crap since, but I'm not changing my rating because I'm a die Sox white fan. Lets remember some Sox guys: Lyle Mouton, Craig Grebeck (aka The Little Hurt), Warren Newson (aka The Deacon), Esteban Loaiza (aka Pablo Escobar.) That's not really his nickname but if you know what has transpired with dude lately, you'd get it. It's tough being a Sox fan smack dab in middle of a Cubs championship window, but they know what it's like. Here's to the 2020 Sox vs. Cubs World Series.

I feel the fans (and I'm a season ticket holder) are treated shabbily by the ball park staff . They make you wait forever outside like they are doing you a favor by letting you attend a game .you think they won 7 titles the way they act .ushers are rude and unhelpful, season tickets staff are not willing to accommodate and unsympathetic for their screw ups (like having ticket but not letting you in because their scanner has technical issues).Rudeness and attitude dominate their treatment of good fans .when you complain they act like we have a lot of nerve.Consession stand workers are nice , I like them .I'm going to cub games next year.I was always treated well there

It was great on june 15 park was great and food was good and it was good but a cubs fan but white Sox greater and white Sox and the game Good.

Had a blast at the game . So fun ! The stadium is newish and awesome. They had a great variety of food choices but the lines where crazy . We really wanted a frozen drink and spent a full inning getting our drinks . My husband got the grilled cheese and green Chile Mac and cheese . The grilled cheese was just ok and the mac n cheese was pretty solid . Def loved the full experience of the game and energy of the live audience.

Baseball on a sunny, Sunday afternoon....what's not to love? Cellular Field is breathtaking. Every seat in the house is a good one. The choices of Vendors are endless. The food is incredible. The Beer was perfect. Parking was convenient and easy. Gotta love Baseball in the City of Chicago.

The Sox. Really, what can you say? But this isn't a review of the team. It's a review of their stadium. I'm lucky. I'm not a fan of either the Sox or the Cubs. So I can be a fan of both and root for them when I see them. That being said, I've been to 3 or 4 games at Comiskey Park now (I hate calling it US Cellular field - corporate scum). With a good breeze in the right direction, I can throw a rock to the park from where I work. So I'm pretty familiar. The stadium is huge. It seat more than 40k people. Great access to the Red and Green L trains and the METRA. Parking is, well, Chicago parking - reasonable space but expensive. The stadium is easy to get into and out of, and to get to the ticket windows and gates. All are on the west side. There is no bad seat in the house. Don't worry about your view. The upper deck is really steep, so people with vertigo should stay down below. The staff is really friendly. Concessions, not bad. Sure you're gonna pay through the nose for anything, like at most stadiums. Why the hell is that? They charge out the ass for tickets. I guess they gotta gouge us to pay the millions to the players, huh? Assholes. But I digress. The selection of food and beer is actually quite good. Walk around and you'll find some nice Midwest beers. Plus mixed drinks, daiquiris and everything else. All the standard ballpark food as well. Not bad. Ticket prices are good as long as the Sox aren't doing well. So go now! I kid...

The Good Guys Wear BLACK. I have so many Great Memories of being at a South Side of Chicago Baseball Game with Family, Friends, Hoods, Ohana, .... , and more. I remember going to a WhiteSox game with my father, one of my older brothers and my twin sister. We were super young. I am sure my father felt pressure to get my sister and I home, it was getting way late on a school night. I'm sure he had thoughts or pressures to get us home. It was after the 7th inning, extra innings. We had to leave, before the game was over. We were on the 1st base side. My Brother Carlos said, hey let's wait till after 'Spot's' favorite player has his bat: Carlton Fisk. The four of us stood in the aisles, we really had to go. Our father said, Ok after 'FISKs' at Bat we are leaving. Harold Banes was on 1st Base. 2 Outs. Carlton Fisk hit a game winning Double RBI, in between Center and Right Field. We all high five'd each other. My Father, Twin Sister and Los were so Happy to see me jumping up and down like 'Tigger da Tiger' the whole way from where we stood to the car. I fell asleep smiling and I think I brought my baseball mitt to school the next day wearing the same Whitesox shirt I had on the night before. My Sister and I played 3-Way Catch with our father that next day immediately after school; in front of our Chicago house with our Father. Been To WhiteSox Games with People I love. The Disco Demolition was Legendary: DJ Hall of Fame(R) Steve D. --Thank U.

Sad the Sox lost 14 to 2 to the Cardinals :( I had great seats in left field. Great view. Go next time SOX!! You always have next year.

Going to see a White Sox game has been on my summer bucket list for the past four years. It was a windy evening in Chicago. Plenty of protected parking awaited our arrival. It is a very pretty stadium. The smells of the food teased our senses. We grabbed the Italian beef sandwich, which had us licking our fingers. We grabbed a few drinks and headed to our seats. 11 row off of the field. Players were taking photos with kids. It was awesome. The bathrooms were clean and the staff was friendly. Thank you Chicago White Sox...

Great time. Friendly environment. I think they have the best food and drink of all the stadiums in Chicago. Had the "heater dog" which was awesome and they have great Craft Beer! Bonus was I went on the night they were giving away Sox sweatshirts.

I'm a lover of baseball stadiums. When I was a kid baseball bored me to no end. Now that I'm a little older I appreciate the game and the beauty behind it all. I Love coming down to the Chi and catching a game at White Sox stadium. Good times to be had here. It's a beautiful view and the skyline is one of the best. Great, whimsical, and magical is how I'd describe enjoying a game here. The fireworks and seeing the sport played in the great city of Chicago is one of the best! Love Chicago!

Great ballpark. I highly recommend section 122-124. Great place to see all the action and be close to concessions.

Chicago White Sox - I was born and raised to love you forever. While sometimes, most times, you are a disappointment, there have been shining moments I have witnessed like Paul Konerko's retirement and 2005 World Series win (granted I was 17, working at the BBQ patio on Ashland/33rd, now closed RIP, watching the game through a small wall tv but STILL it was amazing). When I was 12, the team came to my after school program and "made" (they were premade by the White Sox staff or maybe by us the students HA,) peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with myself and other attendees of the program, I will never forget that day, you have forever won me over as a fan. I love the park, I love the team, love the atmosphere, staff, fireworks nights, all of it! Whenever I attend a game, you remind me of summer and family. Anywho - if you are visiting, check out this amazing team and stadium, get some food and enjoy the feels of this southside gem.

Visiting Chicago and ended up at a White Sox game. Enjoyed my visit. Lots to do and see while at the game. Weather was great and best of all, the Sox won the game 2-0.

I love the idea of reviewing a baseball team. How does that even work? Obviously it's great, it's major league baseball. I prefer the White Sox experience to a Cubs game, but they are both great. Either one is better than the office.

I've been a big fan of the White Sox forever. I live on the South Side, and I still remember when they won the World Series. That didn't last long, when they were doing terrible every year. Some of the best parts of the Sox games are the Fundamentals, so your kids can be taught baseball. Also, they have a "Club" where you can get good food that isn't in your average ballpark. The White Sox this year had a horrible start. It had bad catching, and not as much games that they won. It's a big disappointment for Sox fans this year. Hopefully they step it up soon! All in all, okay team, but they are doing bad this year. I like their field though! Hopefully there is a year the White Sox can improve.

Great overall fan experience. Concessions are conveniently located, the staff is courteous and helpful and the views, no matter where you are sitting/walking, are impeccable. The White Sox are great ambassadors of how a team should connect with their fan base. The hard work, dedication, and commitment of not only the players, management and ownership, but followed up by the behind the scenes team that make sure your experience is always the best it can be is why I will always be a loyal fan of the Chicago White Sox. I mean, I did have a White Sox themed wedding, so I am just as committed as they are!

I've been stepping out of my shell and doing new things. This was 1 and I was SOOOO happy that I did. I got some great tickets off Groupon with the patio party. For my 12 year old Son and I. We got a free gift at the door. We had plenty of fresh food (great burgers and chicken) all you can eat. Now I have to say it was cold out and we stayed to see the fireworks.. But we had a great time and plenty of laughing that is what life is all about. Will be going back real soon... :-)

Yeah GO SOX. Can't wait for the season to start and cheer on our team!! Win or lose, it's a great baseball experience in an awesome ballpark. Sorry Cubs fans, it doesn't matter what you call your stadium, it's run down and dingy and the bathrooms are horrible. Give me the great views, the comfortable seats, ample parking and good choice of concessions at Comiskey (don't care what they want us to call it now).
