I had the taro milk tea and really enjoyed it. The bobas were fresh and chewy, and the drink itself was delicious. The space was clean and nicely set up, which made the experience even better. I do agree with other reviewers though about the fact that the menu is pretty strict and there is little room to customize your drink — I was hoping I could add foam to my tea which wasn’t possible. I know this place focuses on tea (and does it really well), but I wished there were a few pastry or snack options to go with the drinks. That would make it more inviting to stay a little longer. I also loved that they offered samples to tried from, it’s a fun way to explore new flavors. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying a different tea! 🍵

Delicious boba and flavors!!! Very unique offerings including taro balls. They packed the To Go bag so well and securely. The place is super cute, too. I would definitely go back.

As a bubble tea connoisseur, I never set my expectations too high when trying a new spot—but this place pleasantly surprised me! Located in Cedar Hills Mall, right next to Powell’s Bookstore, it boasts excellent cleanliness and friendly customer service. The flavors were impressive, and the boba had the perfect texture. While navigating the menu was a bit tricky, I appreciated the variety of options. Since I prefer my bubble tea less sweet and enjoy mixing flavors, I was delighted by how it was served—in a super cute hanging-style basket! The atmosphere was chic and slightly bougie, making it an enjoyable experience overall. I have gone back to treat my staff!

This is a premium boba tea that you can buy indeed. The main feature here is the tea making machine behind the counter which extracts the tea freshly to make your boba tea. The boba is really good too. It is soft and not too chewy.

The drinks here are so good—but honestly, they’re a bit too small! I was already ready to order a second one right away. The space is bright and inviting, with a nice seating area that makes it a great spot to hang out on weekends.

If you are here with traditional high tea this is the place. If you're here for boba there's some caveats. 1. The wait in line. I appreciate that they're taking the time to educate customers on different teas, but that needs to be done separately so they can move people through the line. 2. I know the tea is fancy but the price point is high for what you get and compared to other boba cafes. 3. Customization - I've been to Taiwan to chichi San chen and I know this is a more traditional style and one of their first entries into the US market, but they need to adapt to the US expectation. The expectation is that we can customize. They need to update and change to align the market. If I want to add extra boba I should be able to pay for it.

I’ve been to Chicha San Chen a few times and every time I go it never disappoints. The tea is very good because it’s freshly brewed so it’s light to the taste. When I go here I don’t adjust the sugar level as it is for me the perfect sweetness. The atmosphere is nice and clean. It could get crowded on a busy day but the place is spacious and has plenty of seats.

I've had their drinks a few times now at this location and they are consistent with the whole process of preparing the drinks. This visit, I tried the Dong Ding tea with cream (less ice and less sweet) and it was great. You can taste the quality of the tea with each sip. The interior is pretty spacious and clean.
