CHICHA San Chen 吃茶三千

After dining at Douzo Sushi, we took a short 20-minute walk to try the new tea spot, CHICHA San Chen (吃茶三千). Our first impression was that it’s a trendy place, clearly popular with younger crowds. As you wait—usually just a few minutes—surrounded by energetic young people, you might feel like you’re part of that vibe too. Ordering is simple thanks to their user-friendly self-service kiosks. Once you place your order, just keep an eye on the large screen to see when your number is called. During busy times, expect to wait about 20 minutes. The space is a bit crowded, but it’s sleek and modern, with the vibrant feel of an Asian city café. The drinks are absolutely delicious. If you haven’t tried this place yet, don’t hesitate—it’s worth a visit.

Went for the soft opening and waited about 30 minutes in line, but it was worth it! Their tea has a great flavor and their boba has a good texture and taste! I got the Dong Ding Oolong Latte and my friend got the Bubble Milk Tea - both tasted really good! I love the inside of the cafe because it has such a clean and wholesome vibe and smells great! They have a tea tasting station and also options to buy loose leaf tea and merch. It is a little bit pricey, but definitely worth trying at least once!

Such a wonderful encounter with the Tea Tasting, the astonishing atmosphere is so clean and crisp that gives very serene even for the soft opening day. Being able to try and learn about tea was an eye opening experience. Very welcoming by the staff and quick service for me personally. Definitely check it out when you're in the back bay area! Finally got into the bobs me and my friend ordered, i ordered the Bubble volcano, not what you expect at first thought it would be a chovolatey mess buy COMPLETELY balanced! Not too heavy on cream, boba boiled to perfection and i just wouldn't expect it any other way!

I went today! The employees are so friendly and welcoming! Not too big but not too small inside. Tea demo is cool. There is a variety of drinks. You can build your own- choose tea, flavor and topping. Or you can choose from the Popular drinks that already have a set tea/flavor/topping. I got the Dong Ding Oolong Tea Latte and the Honey Osmanthus Oolong Tea. Both are refreshing! Boba texture is just right. Good balance between milk and tea. Less sugar is perfect too. I recommend! :)

Drinks are very REFRESHING! A definitely must try! I highly recommend this place. Ive been wanting to try this Tea house and it doesn’t disappoint me. I will surely comeback. I got classic fruit tea(MY PERSONAL FAVE) Bubble Milk Tea, Osmanthus Oolong Tea with Honey. Great ambiance I haven’t been to Taiwan but it feels like I am. This will be my last stop after shopping at Newbury St.

I came a few days after their grand opening and there was still a pretty long line outside, but I was still able to get in pretty fast. They're very efficient, you order from a kiosk and then wait for your boba, during which there's also a tea brewing area where you can sample their freshly brewed tea! I ordered the creamy lemon tart and the classic fruit tea and they were both so good, I can see why this place is deemed Michelin starred boba!!

I first tried CHICHA San Chen in San Gabriel, CA. Waited over 30 minutes for my drink and it was soooo worth THUS I’ve been SOOOO hyped for this MA location to open and now it’s here and so so tasty. Being back is so SO sweet. - The boba milk tea is so flavorful and the milk has real depth to it. Tapioca quality is PERFECTION. 🫶🏻✨ - The Creamy Lemon Tart is a great balance of fruity freshness and crème, very refreshing in the heat and humidity - Store vibes are there; love it here

What a lovely place for some really good tea! The place is so cute, the staff is friendly, and most importantly, the oolong tea was absolutely delicious! Really enjoyed the complimentary oolong tea tasting experience too. Takes awhile to get a spot and then wait for the tea to brew, but truly worth it for a delicious tea sample and lesson! The oolong tea latte with bubble was delicious, and no need to do less sweetness because they don’t make it overly sweet like a lot of other places. You can tell it’s a quality tea place, with no crazy flavored, just the true tea coming through. If you’re willing to pay for some amazing quality tea, definitely stop by!
