The Back Bay Lunch Guide - Boston - The Infatuation

"It’s understandable if you’ve never actually noticed the taco cart in Back Bay Station, since shutting down all sensory receptors is the best strategy for walking through that place. But this taco and burrito cart in the lobby off Dartmouth Street is one of your best bets for quick and cheap Mexican food on your lunch break. The meat is tender and flavorful, you can have a meal for under $15, and the burritos are noticeably grease-free, which is nice if you plan on walking and burrito-ing at the same time." - dan secatore

Stop by for oolong tea with brown sugar before the Redsox game. The place was very busy and time wait for tea tasting was kinda long. It was pretty easy to order our tea on one of their machine and they also offered sample. The tea were pretty expensive but the it tasted pretty good. The worker seemed pretty friendly and the tea shop bright and clean.

Waiting: 0 min as a walk-in at noon First drink arrived: 3 min First visit to San Chen Tea House. The interior immediately stood out with a warm, beautiful Taiwanese design that made the space feel like a tea shop in Taiwan. The ambience was calm with a clean, modern touch, and you could actually watch each tea being brewed one by one. Nothing powdered or pre-mixed. Everything is freshly extracted. Ordered: Bubble Volcano (milk tea with brown sugar and bubbles) and Passion Fruit Bubble Tea. The Bubble Volcano was the standout. Because the tea is freshly brewed, the aroma came through even over ice. The flavor was deep, slightly toasted, and had a gentle bitterness that lifted through the nose after each sip. The brown sugar balanced everything with a smooth sweetness. The bubbles themselves were exceptionally good: warm, chewy, and soft on the outside with a tender, gummy center. Since they serve the pearls warm, regular ice is the better option. I ordered less ice and it melted quickly. I was debating the Passion Fruit Bubble Tea until a staff member offered a sample despite how busy they were. Great hospitality. The drink tasted bright and tropical, like something from a southern island, refreshing and ideal for summer. For value, both drinks felt premium but justified because of the brewing method and ingredient quality. Portions were generous. Practical note: kid-friendly, quick service, and the brewing setup is fun to watch. Perfect for takeout or a short sit-down break. Looking forward to returning to try their hot tea selections next time. They had so many varieties that caught my attention.

Delicious tea! I have had every single major bubble tea chain in Boston, from Quincy to Malden. So far, this has been the best. The tea was very herbal in a unique way, and the milk was very... milky (kinda like powder milk). Overall, strong flavors all around. I see why this place is popular. I'll definitely come back!

ChiCha is a boba shop focused on the highest quality tea and toppings possible. They do not have all of the trendy variety and flavors, and that’s perfectly fine, because you will not find any better boba around.

This is probably my favorite boba chain ever. The tea is always great, and the boba was perfectly QQ. It gets very busy, but the line does move pretty fast. Service was friendly, and prices were reasonable. I'd definitely come back!

Lots of choices using real tea leaves to make their tea. Very flavorful. I'd recommend the volcano and the dong ding oolong tea latte. I believe they are known for their oolong tea so anything on their menu with that mix is highly recommended

Went for the soft opening and waited about 30 minutes in line, but it was worth it! Their tea has a great flavor and their boba has a good texture and taste! I got the Dong Ding Oolong Latte and my friend got the Bubble Milk Tea - both tasted really good! I love the inside of the cafe because it has such a clean and wholesome vibe and smells great! They have a tea tasting station and also options to buy loose leaf tea and merch. It is a little bit pricey, but definitely worth trying at least once!

Such a wonderful encounter with the Tea Tasting, the astonishing atmosphere is so clean and crisp that gives very serene even for the soft opening day. Being able to try and learn about tea was an eye opening experience. Very welcoming by the staff and quick service for me personally. Definitely check it out when you're in the back bay area! Finally got into the bobs me and my friend ordered, i ordered the Bubble volcano, not what you expect at first thought it would be a chovolatey mess buy COMPLETELY balanced! Not too heavy on cream, boba boiled to perfection and i just wouldn't expect it any other way!
