Chicho Gelato Northbridge

Among the best gelatos and sorbets that I’ve ever tasted. Smooth texture, perfect flavours, friendly service. My recommendation is the matcha raspberry almond but you can try the flavours and the staff will assist promptly.

Delighted to find this place for Gelato and Coffee as most dessert and coffee places are closed by 5pm. Had a Cappuccino flavored Gelato. Must say it tastes great

Yeah to awesome tasting gelato smack bang in the middle of northbridge (Party central). The quality, flavour combinations, taste and their awesome traditional icecream metal containers makes this different to the see through icecream fridges you see in all other gelato/ icecream stores.

Came in for the Fig Mascarpone but they didn’t have it today, so I went with the Mint Choc Brownie - just as good! The staff are always super friendly and welcoming. One of my fave spots in Perth for sure!

A gelato shop with light, not-too-sweet ice cream that tastes great. The cone is delicious and pairs well with the gelato. There’s also a good variety of flavors to choose from. #TravellingAsACouple

This is a must stop when we go to the City. Their flavors are interesting and i always end up with their special flavor for the month. Good quality ice cream and I love their cones too!🍦😋

I’d consider myself an gelato connoisseur and Chicho is definitely the best gelato I’ve ever had. Such an amazing variety of flavours, and I love how they change the specials per month. I come here too often for my health.

I missed the opening summer months of Chicho as I wasn't in Perth. I finally got around to visiting the new-ish store and was not disappointed! I had some girlfriends coming round for a curry so I thought I'd pick up a takeaway pack for dessert. I opted for the pandan (stoked to see more use of pandan in Perth), plus the kaffir lime and coconut (a great post curry pairing) and obviously the salted caramel and peanut brittle, because you just always have to get the salted caramel, right? All the flavours were mighty fine. A great addition to William Street, especially as they do take home packs too!

I like their gelato however the flavours can be quite weak on some, and the service is very up and down. I also find that the pricing is very iffy. For $5 you get one scoop which is 100g and a typical sort of price, however for $8 you only get a scoop and a half of 150g even though it says two scoops. So I think this is misleading and not good value compared to other good gelato places. They store the gelato in proper steel tubs which is great but then you can't see what you are ordering. After spending a lot of time in Italy was quite excited to find this store however it doesn't quite hit the mark for me on most of the flavours I have tried. The staff were very grumpy and were not impressed with me asking to taste one (and only one) flavour, and this happened twice so I did not want to return. But another time I was roped into it by a group of friends and the staff were really lovely that time - someone even tasted two without any looks! My friends complain about them not telling you it's $1 extra for a tiny swirl of chocolate when they offer it to you. I've had several flavours where I found them to be weak tasting, however I think the quality of ingredients is good. The one exception was the roasted macadamia which was delicious. So overall, it's nice and convenient but a tad over priced and you have to know what to get and be prepared to have grumpy faces. The gelato is good but not my favourite.

Fantastic homemade gelato. These guys went to the Gelato University in Bologna (yes it's a real place) and they learnt the delicious art of making gelato. Their new store on William St is gorgeous and the decor is lovely. They have an excellent selection of flavours and on the day in question it was pretty warm so I indulged in 3 scoops! I tried the Salted Caramel Crack, Lamington and Vanilla. All were very tasty and not too sweet! Definitely give them a try

I have witnessed Chi Cho go from a push cart at Hawker Markets to their flagship shop in Northbridge. It really is a success story. Their gelato shop has all the right elements of a trendy hipster joint while still looking sleek and well designed. While I am a rather frequent visitor, I am always surprised by the flavors and specials they have on offer. My all time favorite is the pavlova flavor (please bring it back!). What I love the most about their flavors is how open they are to incorporating Asian ingredients such as panda, green tea or even Kaffir leaf into their gelatos. While they are not the cheapest ice treat in town, they rank the best value for me in terms of satisfaction vs money spent.

This is the best gelato in town. I've just come back from Italy and no other place comes close to real, Italian gelato. They do really interesting flavour combinations with my favourite being the popular Miso caramel. Chicho serve the best fruit sorbets, they're creamy and flavourful but totally dairy free, the way good gelato soebet should be! If you're planning a corporate event or big party you can also hire Chicho to turn up with their retro gelato cart - very cool!

It's so great to speak with a business owner/operator with SO much passion for produce and his craft. Have been twice already and will return! NB: Go there during the day, on a weekday if you want to have a yarn, he is a busy man when the line gets big!

Fantastic gelato. The forever new flavours make you want to go back all the time. And I do. I had the brioche with roasted macadamia and white chocolate, covered in chocolate then toasted

Had the peanut butter and jelly gelato. Fantastic flavour, well balanced and very smooth. Could taste the hint of peanut and jam. Serving size was a bit small though compared to other gelato shops in Perth. Good variety of flavours available

I have always loved their pop ups at food festivals and events around Perth but am so happy to see that they finally have a store I can visit they have such unique flavours and I have to say my favourite would be the kafir lime and coconut gelato. So refreshing! You can also get some drizzled chocolate on top of your gelato for only $1.

The gelateria shop it self was colourful, vibrant and fun. Outdoor and indoor seats available even though indoor seatings are fairly limited. Their prices ranges from $5 (1 scoop), $8 (2 scoop), $10 (3 scoop) and $20 (Take Home).

These guys rock. Right next to the theatre they have a wonderful array of gelatos and sorbet in all kinds of unusual flavours. As I was with a couple of vegans the sorbets being vegan friendly was a plus - after all vegan icecream is a rarity. The flavours are awesome - pineapple and cinnamon, rose petal, pistachio and fig, burnt caramel, num num num. I had a watermelon and strawberry sorbet that was seriously to die for. Get thee hence.

Chicho Gelato is my vice. On my wanders home from work I find myself inadvertently stumbling into the door of Chicho and ordering almost before I realise what I'm doing! For the traditional ice cream lover they offer up their vanilla and chocolate, for the adventurous they have constantly changing flavours. Banana and peanut brittle or marscapone, rhubarb and strawberry. They indicate which ice creams are gluten and/or dairy free but the icing on the cake (almost literally) has to be the flowing chocolate topping sauce they offer. For an extra dollar you can cover your ice cream in a decadent treat to really top off the experience. You can get your ice cream in a tub or cone but they also offer take away cartons too. If they get busy it can often be a bit of a wait with only one or two staff but the wait is worth If you're out around northbridge and fancy an after dinner treat or just a treat in general, this is the place to go.

Seriously so good! I'm picky about my gelato but this is so good. The salted caramel was actually salty, but not too much. The taste didn't get boring either. The lavender and honeycomb is also delicious

Popped here for a birthday dessert delight - I tried a double scoop with Peanut Butter & Jam + Smokey Mexican Chocolate. What a combo! Real chilli in the chocolate gelato & sweet strawberry jam with creamy peanut butter = what dreams are made of. The only reason they lose a star is that you don't get much chocolate topping, it's only a dollar extea though so maybe my expectations are too high

Had "green tea with white chocolate", very good combination of fresh green tea flavour with smooth texture of the white chocolate gelato. Their green tea flavour is very nice, as an Asian, I have a crush on green tea/ matcha already. Yet, this one manage to surprise me a bit with the unbitter refreshing flavour. Not creamy nor heavy.

An absolute treat. We stumbled across this gem whilst walking from north ridge towards the hay street mall. There were many unique flavour combinations such as pineapple and jalapeño sorbet, peanut butter and jam gelato, to the classic vanilla bean gelato. The staff were great and you can't argue with the price, starting at $5 for a generous one scoop of magnificent gelato/sorbet. This review won't do it justice but have a look at the menu to see for yourself!

Excellent innovative flavours. One scoop for $5, two for $8. Tasted their offering a few times and always been impressed. Couldn't believe there was a queue!

Charged me $8 for a long black with an extra shot in it without telling me how much it was going to cost. Most expensive coffee I've ever had. Bon appetit

I'm so disappointed to have to give this place such a low score. Ice cream is a passion of mine and the flavours they offer are very exciting but went there to check it out today and the owner was extremely rude and aggressive. It was quite upsetting. Such a shame :(

Is really super yum! Best ice cream in Perth - not too sweet and light almost every flavours! The decor is fascinating and attractive.

The gelato is alright, have good combinations and flavours, but the price it quite high. the scoop is tiny. could be better
