Atmosphere: The Dwarf House consists of a Chick-fil-A restaurant, a sit down diner, and a makeshift museum of the history of Chick-fil-A. Even though there is a lot of history to the Dwarf House, the renovated building and outdoor area were very well kept and clean.
Service: When we went on a late Thursday morning, the hostess told us that there would be a 30 minute wait for a table to dine in. Our wait flew by because we were exploring the different parts of the Dwarf House, but also because we were seated in around 15-20 minutes instead of 30 minutes. Once seated, our server was friendly and let us change our order last minute due to our indecisiveness and desire to try everything on their menu. However, we'll note that we ordered a Peach Milkshake, but it didn't come out until after we reminded our server when our entrees were served.
Food: We ordered the Loaded Southern Chick-fil-A Waffle Potato Fries and Peach Milkshake to share, and the Truett's Famous Chick-fil-A Sandwich and Chick-fil-A Skillet as our entrees. The Loaded Potato Fries were very flavorful, and the bits of chicken nuggets were fresh and delicious. We enjoyed the Cilantro-Lime sauce, as it added a bit of freshness to the dish, but we found it to be a bit overpowering at times. The Peach Milkshake was light, not too sweet, and had the perfect amount of fruity flavor.
The Chick-fil-A Sandwich was a classic Chick-fil-A sandwich with pickles on the side. We ordered it with a side of Fried Okra and the Sweet Potato Souffle. The sandwich was what we expected but had a very delicious and buttery bun that we haven't had at other Chick-fil-A's. The Fried Okra was fresh, but our favorite side was the Sweet Potato Souffle. It was sweet, smooth, and had a rich sweet potato taste reminiscent of Thanksgiving.
The Chick-fil-A Skillet had essentially the same flavor profile as the Loaded Potato Fries. As a result, the meal felt pretty heavy, but it was still delicious! There was a perfect mix of cheese, eggs, chicken nuggets, and crispy biscuits on the hot skillet.
Overall: We loved having the opportunity to try some of The Dwarf House's specialty items as well as the classic chicken sandwich at the original Chick-fil-A. We would love to come back and try even more items on their extensive dine-in menu. Dining in at the Original Chick-fil-A is an experience that we'd highly recommend to all Chick-fil-A fans!
