Best Restaurants for Tourists in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"The Dwarf House in Hapeville is where it all began for the Atlanta-based fast food chain back in 1946. This isn’t just any old Chick-fil-A. The Dwarf House includes a full-service restaurant serving an expanded menu filled with burgers, sandwiches, an all-day breakfast, and their most notable dish, the open-faced Hot Brown sandwich. The Chick-fil-A hot brown is served with chicken rather than turkey, bacon, and a whole lot of cheese. Sorry, it’s still closed on Sundays." - Beth McKibben

Google
First time here, and it was super cool to see the diner and lunch sections and to read the history of Chick fil a. The wait time was about 55 minutes. We ate in the diner section where we got breakfast (chicken and waffles, eggs, yams, mac n cheese, and some other stuff). Everything was great and fresh, food came out fast and the service was great! All staff was nice and friendly. We spent $100 for a family of 4. Overall, it was a cool experience 😎 👌

Google
Such a unique experience. The staff was so accommodating - seating us within three minutes of closing. I will be honest, don’t get the burger. I know it’s such a novelty item for CFA, but it’s nothing special.

This was my first time. When me and my daughter walked in the guy did not greet us, so I greeted him. We waited to be seated. My server was Anahi (probably not correctly spelled) but she was super sweet. I also ordered a cookie and cream milkshake and 3 cookies. The cookies were not warmed how I like them, my milkshake was not the norm cc taste it was more vanilla but she did apologize and offered me something free, I refused. It wasn’t that big of a deal. Will probably return one day in the future— the food was amazing!!! Don’t forget to get your points. Thank you.

Awesome complete remodel of the original restaurant that started the Chick-fil-A empire. Beautiful building with great landscaping all around. Location is a huge expansion on the previous restaurant. Restaurant is very clean, very spacious, bright, and beautifully designed (both the regular fast food and diner style dine-in areas). Diner side was great to try the different menu and experience at this location; but we did have to wait over 25 minutes to be seated due to filled capacity in that section at dinner time. Service is generally very good. Food was very good. There's a lot of outdoor dining seating/tables at this location, some unique modern designs too. Do like the "hidden" small bronze dwarf statues located all around and in the restaurant property. Drive-thru is available at this location. Also, there's a separate section just for pickup orders to go.

Always wanted to go but never had the opportunity. This is a fun spin on classic Chick-fil-A. The cilantro lime sauce on the eggs was not great and the sprouts lacked seasoning but everything else was phenomenal. Top 3 Chick-fil-A sandwiches I have ever had. I was sad to find out no biscuits after 10:30 AM. The 10:30 AM cutoff includes all breakfast items with the red dot shown on the menu. Service was great but food was a bit slow to come out (25 min). This place is a must try for real Chick-fil-A fans, just make sure you go before 10:30 for the full menu. They close off the diner section at 9 PM so plan accordingly. Bon Appetite!

Traveling from the west coast, I've been to Chick-fil-A before but never knew its history until passing a Dwarf House. What a treat. The food was just average but the atmosphere was special. There was an extended menu that featured multiple mark options for breakfast and dinner as well as dessert options not available otherwise.

Google
Home of the OG Chic Fil A. Extensive menu with all the classics plus some unique dishes. There’s a dine-in diner style side and a normal chick-fil-a side. Lots of history on the walls from the early days of the restaurant. Must stop spot If you’re driving through Atlanta.

Google
Original chick Fil a. I didn't even know there were these dwarf houses with expanded menus and table service. If you like chick Fil A, you'll love this place, guranteed.

Yelp
I decided to try Chic Fil A's giant burger with the crispy sprouts and fried okra. The burger was good and I loved their fried okra! I wish the gift shop had more items but it only had a few t shirts that weren't very cute.

Yelp
We came and sat on the Dwarf house side. We were greeted and treated so kindly by the manager and our server for our large party. I ordered the vegetable plate and substituted a soup as one of my sides. Everything was so fresh and warm. It's definitely going to be must for a good brunch or lunch in the fall place to go. The kids enjoyed finding the dwarfs around the store as well. Also good to know the outside has turf for kids to play outside with hula hoops and some crawling and climbing structures.

Yelp
Yes, it's just a Chick-fil-A, but Dwarf House has its own menu! Before going in, I thought the building already looked unique from outside. Upon entering, you have your regular CFA on the right and Dwarf House on the left. Went during peak hours of Friday lunch, so there was about a 40-minute wait for a party of 4. Our waitress was very nice! The interior of Dwarf House was like a classic diner setting. Our group over-ordered, but the food was delicious! I always order a frosted coffee; my fave! Got the 8pc CFA classic nuggets, which come with 2 sides. Ordered crispy sprouts and sweet potato soufflé, both were delicious & unique to Dwarf House. Apps: battered pickles (fun to eat), Loaded Southern CFA potato fries (crispy & savory) Our group split the breakfast entree, CFA skillet. It included cheese, eggs, nuggets, & potato. Desserts: fried peach pie was not that great; really enjoyed the banana pudding though Left feeling super full haha. If you're visiting Atlanta, stop by for the food and experience!

Yelp
This was my first experience at Dwarf house and it was great! It reminded me of an old school diner. We went on a Friday afternoon and were seated immediately. Our server was attentive and met all needs quickly. The grilled chicken melt was so delicious. I wish the toast was Texas toast (a little thicker), but other than that it was perfectly buttery and crispy as you bite into it. The okra was definitely a surprise. They really know how to fry okra and it was so delicious. I definitely want more of those and of course the waffle fries were great as usual.

Yelp
I'm here...other than the aesthctics, pretty much the same as the others. There are historical markers that show the history of Chick-fil-A also. The service is about the same also..It's a Chick-fil-A experience through and through.

Yelp
i don't get it, why is this only 4 reviews? This place should be 5 stars! lol Found this gem by accident, we were in Atlanta for the Delta Hops and hangar and we stayed in the Kimpton Hotel and saw this super cute Chick-fil-A and we did not know that this is the Dwarf House! of course I was excited.... we have been here twice, but the first time we only went here for milkshake and it was the best! Second time we made sure we stop by to eat at the actual diner look a like inside. We went for breakfast with our friends and got the Chick fil a skillet and the loaded fries for our appetizers, trust me! we want to order everything but need to control ourselves. Everything was amazing! cook perfectly and very tasty! I agree with the reviews, this is a must stop when you are close to the ATL airport. This particular Chick fil a is called the Dwarf House and they actually lived up to that expectation. On the front of the restaurant there is a small door that actually opens and you can go inside using that door! it's so cute! They also serves different kind of foods that you cannot order at your normal Chick fil a and the staff here are always super nice! Just a tip! they can be busy since this is a tourist spot- be here early in the morning to avoid the wait, we were here around 8:30 am and we did not need to wait and got seated right away. Also, look around the whole restaurant they have different memorabilia and on the restroom on the normal Chick fil a you can actually see the handwritten wall letters/reviews for Chick Fil a.
google avatar

Yelp
Best place to stop by after arriving at the airport! This chick fil a is broken up into two sections. When you walk in, the right side is your typical chick fil a with the standard menu. To the left is the diner style restaurant with an entirely different menu. The items range from pies to cheese burgers to Brussel sprouts. I ordered the chicken and waffle and a side of Brussels sprouts. The sprouts were amazing. So tender but also crispy on the outside. The chicken and waffle was also very good as expected. My mom got the fried okra which was a little small but still very good! My dad ordered the chicken nuggets, lemon meringue pie and a strawberry shake. All of those were perfect. Overall a good little diner place, it's a super cool landmark if you're a chick fil a lover!

Yelp
I had the pleasure of making my way to the Dwarf House. Service was great from start to end. The food was really good. I love how they have items on the menu that are no longer available in a regular chicfila. The cheese fries with pimento cheese bacon and nuggets were so good. I would definitely recommend this if you have time to visit it. One thing that should be noted. It's a regular chicfila on one side and the actual dwarf house on the other side. You have to be seated to eat the other menu items at the dwarf house. It doesn't come up online when you search for the menu. Only the chicfila menu.

Yelp
A must stop if you are Chick-flick-A Lover! Had a dinner here at the Dwarf House before picking up my fiancé at the airport. This is a prefect spot to grab a bite if you are going the airport btw! I was too overwhelmed with the menu options First you get to choose where you want to sit. And we'll eat of course. This Dwarf Hour my first Dwarf house experience. I read the reviews so I was prepared! Go through the main door to the right is the regular chick fil a restaurant with all the usual offerings. They also have a double drive thru. Ok on the left side of the building is the Dwarf diner! You'll be greeted my a hostess to ask if you want to sit at a table or the counter super cool! I sat at a table since I had time to kill! Service was great and friendly! I had the chicken sandwich and the sweet potato soufflé (which can be your dessert it was super yummy and I think they put pecan on it too) and my other side was the fried okra (I chose my side from the reviews thank you) the chicken sandwich was okay... I want to try the burger next time. And I totally pigged out and got the ice box cake lemon flavor thank you! Again I had to listen to the reviews. Even though it was cold .... It would be prefect on a hot day. But I was there on a cold January night. So the hot coffee was a pleasure! So after I stuffed myself there. I moved to the regular chick fil a side. Had some more coffee to stay awake. Did I mention I had hour drive to the airport and another hour drive back. And I got to use my birthday reward and got a cookie which I saved for later. Can't wait to bring my fiancé here!

Yelp
This is the OG Chick fil A. This place is a must for Chick Fil A fans. There is a full service sit down restaurant that offers items not found at any of the other locations. There was a short wait, about 15 mins, but during that time we were able to check out the property and learn more about the history of Chick fil a. The staff was very friendly and frequently checked on us. We ordered fried pickles to start with which were crispy and tangy. My friend got an original chicken sandwhich with fried okra as a side. I went for the hot brown, which is only found in this location with the sweet potato soufflé as the side. The sauce on the hot brown was creamy and full of flavor. The souffle was a great side and a nice change!

Yelp
In all honestly, I wish I had come here for lunch only for the lunch options. But that doesn't mean breakfast was bad, it was pretty good! We were sat and greeted almost immediately, and our server was really nice and attentive. She was open for any of our questions and got us everything we needed. I ordered the southwest omelette with shredded hashbrowns and the CFA skillet with a biscuits and jam. Food didn't take long and came out in good time. The food tasted pretty good and is very enjoyable, especially because you can't get some of these menu items at a regular CFA. Price wasn't bad either and very affordable, especially with the amount of food you're getting. I would highly recommend coming here any time of day, even if it's to drop someone off at the airport.

Yelp
The dwarf house chick fil a is definitely a one of a kind experience that everyone should take the chance to do if they can!! Such A fun twist on classics and getting to try things that just simply aren't available at "normal" chick fil A's. Everything was so good!!!

Yelp
It was my first time here at the original dwarf house and the environment was cool and laid back....like usual I was greeted an seated right away at the bar since I was by myself.....I was super hungry and I ordered the chicken sandwich w/ fries....mac n cheese...corn muffins...banana pudding & the fried peach pies....it was delicious....i will definitely be back to explore the breakfast side of the menu....chick fil a never lets me down.......

Yelp
The recent renovation is great, it's a huge location with a to-go side, a sit down old school diner with a unique menu, and a desert counter near the entrance where you can get shakes and pies. The restaurant itself is embedded with so many designs of their past like stained glass in the lobby. The service was phenomenal with so many wonderful people working there that had stories about different parts of the restaurant and Chick-Fil-A's history. This is great for a date, for a family outing, for a solo milkshake craving, any occasion really. Will be back and would recommend to everyone in ATL area to stop by.

Yelp
We ate at the Dwarf House side of the newly rebuilt Chick-fil-A. A good lunch although not what I had hoped for so a little disappointing. Tonda was our very kind waitress and she took great care of us. Unfortunately the excellent steak I had last time is no longer on the menu. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich which was decent (the Giant Burger is better). Mom had the Chick-fil-A Skillet which was definitely good although the filet at the bottom was so small it was hard to find it. I was very glad to see that the Sweet Potato Soufflé is still on the menu and it's still AMAZING (wish every Chick-fil-A had it)! We also got dessert, chocolate pie and the limited time strawberry rhubarb fried pie... the chocolate pie was good although less than 1" thick and the fried pie might've been a Mrs Baird's cherry fried pie from a convenience store... neither worth their $4.39 price tag. It was fun watching the kids play outside and trying to hula hoop but I doubt we'll be making the drive over to the Dwarf House any time soon. Again not a bad meal but definitely an underwhelming experience for a final price of over $40.

Yelp
We had to stop by and see the original CFA! So much history here and it was so fun learning about The Dwarf Grill turned Dwarf House and eventually CFA! We loved seeing the historical marker outside, all of the dwarves around the restaurant, the fun children's play area with giant waffle fries, and the menu had some different items to try. They had Zelma's pies, a sit down restaurant where a server will take your order and they also have another side that's like a normal CFA restaurant to grab and go or order at the counter and sit yourself. They had a huge parking lot and I can imagine it gets busy on weekends! We stopped by on a Monday evening so it wasn't too busy at all. The food was delicious as always and they were generous on the waffle fries! Our server was so sweet and attentive.

Yelp
Now usually I don't make reviews on a place such as Chick fil A however this being the original Chick fil A The Dwarf House location I couldn't resist and create a review. First let's rate the atmosphere, upon arriving you can go thru the small door to head inside and choose your side from the casual fast food Chick Fil A dining room we all know today or to the other side where you can have a dine in sit down service just like when Chick fil A started long ago. The newer remodel is impressive gives out the year the menu items were introduced to Chick fil A and also the history of the former Dwarf House restaurant that was once here. Now let's rate the service, the waitress was very friendly, thoughtful enough to bring our baby some apple sauce to snack on while we ate our entrees and ensure our needs were met! Now the food, I must say it was about noon and coming from the airport I figured I try something I don't find at a typical Chick fil A and ordered the Chick fil A skillet, topped with eggs, cheese, potatoes, chopped chick fil a nuggets and bacon it was a very filling entree and my wife ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich entree reintroduce the nostalgia when Chick fil A used to sell Chicken Salad Sandwiches! These entrees came after our delicious Loaded Chick fil A potato fries, filled with pimento cheese sauce was amazing, nugget pieces and topped with bacon bits wished all Chick fil A served this! Now for the desert, who could forget the Lemon Pies Chick fil A once served it was lemony and tart just how I remember it. Overall great Chick fil A experience some of the entrees and food items still served today is what we once remember ordering at Chick fil A in the past! It was truly an experience to get a glimpse of CFA past and the food, service and atmosphere is amazing also don't forget to buy a souvenir or two! Until next time I'm in Georgia The Dwarf House you were amazing!

Yelp
As a Chick-Fil-A fan I had to visit the "Mecca" of the restaurant chain. I'd been to the original Dwarf House once before and was surprised to see there were a few more here in Atlanta. Although this is not the original one the experience is great non the less. The restaurant was clean and we were seated quickly. We were able to dine restaurant style as opposed to take out which opens up other menu options. We had the chicken and waffles which were amazing along with the chick fil a skillet. I appreciated how there were breakfast options available even though it was in the afternoon. Our server Queen was very pleasant and attentive and did an amazing job. I enjoyed my visit and would recommend you give it a try as well if you are in the area. I will be the first one in line if and when they bring a Dwarf house to New England.

Yelp
My husband and I took our son and his aunt and uncle to experience the fun and food of the Dwarf House. They have had significant renovations and improvements to the Dwarf house. It is about twice the size as it originally was, has a large kids play area in front, and is clean and modern with the original touches like the dwarf door and the seven dwarfs moving art. We had an amazing experience and part of that was because of our waitress, Linda, she went above and beyond. She brought out toddler an apple cinnamon fruit pack, gave us great recommendations, and was very attentive. My husband raves about the chicken salad, so he got the sandwich and was very happy with it. I got a frosted coffee and a chicken scrambler bowl with the sauce on the side. It was really delicious and a generous portion. Our son loved the fruit packet and my scramble bowl too. We would definitely eat here again. The restaurant, service, food, and experience were great. Rating from F to A+++, I give it an A+++!
google avatar

Caroline J.

Yelp
If ever close to the Dwarf House and you are a chick-fil-a lover highly recommend coming here to experience the "first" chick-fil-a. Service was fabulous and Becky answered all of our questions and let us know right away any items that were not available. It was cool to be served at a chick-fil-a and order from a band-held menu. Food-wise we had to try a burger at a chick-fil-a bc where else can you do that. The burger was good, not the best burger but still delicious. Sides we got were coleslaw, Mac & cheese, and fries. All yummy! We also had to try out the cheese fries-very good, a breakfast skillet, and pie! All were delicious! This was overall a great experience, and a cool diner feel.
google avatar

Rebecca K.

Yelp
We sat on the diner side and our server Shavon was amazing. I got the traditional sandwich with Brussel sprouts and sweet potato soufflé. I wish these sides were available at all locations. The soufflé is probably close to a dessert than traditional side but it tasted delicious!
google avatar

Heidi K.

Yelp
Must do for any chick-fil-a lover! It is the original Chick-fil-a and it is just the best! Plus, the food is really good. If you like Chick-fil-a, you will love it since it it like a "better" version! Must do!
google avatar

Celeste M.

Yelp
I love chick fil a so I had to go to where it all started. This location is a dwarf house so it offers an extended menu and table service. We of course wanted to get items we could not order at our local place so we ordered the skillet, a hot brown, chicken salad, fried okra and ice box pies. Man oh man everything was delicious! The service was a bit slower than anticipated but we're in the south so it's expected. I'll be back definitely!
google avatar

Trish B.

Yelp
The Dwarf House is definitely a place you have to visit especially if you're an avid Chick-Fil-A Lover! It's so cute, fun and Iconic -- things on their menu aren't available at regular Chick-Fil-A's... Our SERVER: Monike --she was kind and friendly WE ORDERED: + Loaded Southern Chick-fil-A Waffle Potato Fries* + Fried Okra + Giant Burger* (regular ground beef burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles) + Macaroni & Cheese + Coconut Crème Pie Slice + Sm Apple Juice + Single Waffle Platter with Spicy Fillet + Lemon Pie Slice Great food & Unforgettable experience! I recommend and want to return to try other menu items!

Yelp
My first time here at the Dwarf House! And I have been in Atlanta since 1992. Traffic bad going home from airport so we decided to stop for dinner first. I ordered the breakfast skillet (only 600 calories and it has bacon), so got the chicken melt with fried okra and waffle fries, and my husband chose the chicken salad sandwich. We all ordered lemonades, mine a diet which taste just like regular. Adam was our server at the bar stools as there was no wait for as opposed to the tables where there was a wait on a Saturday night at 8:15 pm. We went to the diner side as opposed to the side with regular Chik-fil-a lmenu which I am used to. It decently had a retro feel which I am loving! The food was so good, I feel like I have been initiated into the Chik-fil-A Hall of Fame. All these years eating fast food, when I could have had a dine in experience with original menu items. These has been an eye opening experience, and I will be back next time I am retuning home by the airport. I told my son that my life is complete now; and I thanked my husband for introducing me to this gem of a diner.

Yelp
The Original Chic Fil A! Highly recommend going because there are so many different unique things about this store. There is a sit down component with options such as a Hot Brown (fun to try but not something I'd come back for, needed quite a bit more pepper flavor). The restaurant has the original outline of the small start of the restaurant (why it was called the dwarf house). There are a number of small dwarf statues placed around for you to find and there are plenty of places for kids to play outside! Very glad we visited, a very fun stop!
google avatar

Mel N.

Yelp
Cute and great place to eat normal Chick-fil-A and some of their original offerings, such as hamburger and grilled cheese. They also sell whole pies. Chocolate lemon was on the menu today. Nice little playground for kids and outside table. Outside Seating is also very inviting. Someday I would like to try their other menu items that I cannot get a regChick-fil-A. Would love to return again with more kids

Yelp
I was in the area, and everyone back home insisted I go to the Dwarf House, so I caved to power pressures and went. The whole stop is definitely not your typical Chick-fil-A. The Dwarf site is neat, then you walk in, and you can either eat in a mostly typical Chick-fil-A or you can go into the dwarf house diner. Well, why would i choose the typical so i grabbed a spot at the counter and started cruising through the menu. Daniel came up, and he started taking and making suggestions to consider while he went and got my drink. Well, I'm not ordering a chicken sandwich, but do i do a burger or omlete? Dang. Daniel suggested the giant, but i wasn't that hungry. I'm thinking double burgers were more than i was hungry for. So i opted for the Dwarf burger. Should have listened to Daniel. The burgers were small. He also suggested okra and cornbread. The cornbread was great. Soft with just a slight crunch on the bottom and a hint of sweetness. Which has to be a southern thing bc midwest most cornbread isn't sweet, but everywhere in the south I've been, it's sweet. Not sweet like their tea! I think Chick-fil-A should stick to chicken sandwiches. The burger was mediocre at best, but the hospitality from Daniel is what really impressed me and earned the 5 stars. Next time, I'm getting an omlete!
google avatar

Faith F.

Yelp
The giant burger was grilled to perfection the macaroni cheese. You could taste a different flavors of cheese the banana pudding you could taste the real bananas, the sweet potato soufflé different but good.

Yelp
What a treat to visit the original Chick-fil-A! It is super close to the airport, so it's an easy pitstop before or after your flight. My first tip if you want the diner experience is to give your name to the staff right away since the wait may be long!! When I arrived they said it would be about 30-45 min. They were able to accommodate me faster since I was a single seat. The staff was extremely welcoming as always at Chick-fil-A's I've visited. One of the staff members offered to keep my suitcase behind the counter while I ate my meal - very thoughtful! It is a massive, newly renovated building. They have an outdoor playground for kids and lots of seating. Half of it is diner style (no takeout) and the other half is a regular Chick-fil-A. Giant parking lot and bathrooms on-site. Merchandise for sale. Separate pie shop. The diner offers a unique menu with items you can't get at any other Chick-fil-A - pie, chicken & waffles, Southern sides, and more! I already had a big brunch elsewhere, so I opted for an appetizer - the Loaded Fries. Much to my surprise there were enough fries to be two full meals!! It was delicious and I paired it with a Sweet Tea before I had to head out of town. Diner service was surprisingly fast - especially since I sat at the counter. I was able to get my food and eat it in 15-20 minutes. Can't ensure the same speed if you order more than an appetizer! The server was also extremely kind and attentive and offered free refills before I left! Definitely will be back the next time I'm in ATL!

Yelp
This is the Original Chick-fil-A, previously known as Dwarf House, and Dwarf Grill prior to that. It's a very unique experience if you're in the Atlanta area. The restaurants are located close to the airport. The building has two sides and two restaurants. One side of the building is a normal Chick-fil-A, located in the vintage building, the other side is the Dwarf House like the Original Dwarf House/Grill. When you initially walk into the building, there is a pie shop located in the entrance. I ordered pie since I already ate dinner, the pie was very good. The staff was very friendly and this is a great place to take pictures and visit.
google avatar

Yvonne A.

Yelp
In the Dwarf House menu, you can pick classic Chick-fil-A items from when back-in-the-day. We ordered: Hamburger (beef) w/ cole slaw & sweet potato souffle 3/5 Chicken & Waffle 4/5
google avatar

JJ R.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best dine in experiences in awhile. Really really good food, at a good price, with some of the best hospitality. There are two sides to choose from, a typical Chick-fil-A on the right and a Dwarf House on the left. Dwarf House feels like a traditional diner with servers and that's where we chose to eat. Would recommend to anyone who likes Chick-fil-A, good food, good service, and a nice place to sit down

Yelp
FIRST VISIT. Highly recommend. So clean inside and outside. Plenty of space and several dining choices. Service was excellent as the associates were friendly and quick to serve. Our order was prepared to a delicious temp and quickly brought to the table. I enjoyed this experience and will return.

Yelp
We were visiting and found this place on yelp. We knew we had to try it. This is a very busy restaurant. It's an actual restaurant on one side and a regular fast food restaurant on the other side. We decided to give the restaurant a try. We ordered chicken and waffles thus is the only restaurant that serves this. The wall his is a must try. The waffle was crisp on the outside and soft the chicken was perfect. I just wish we had this where I live. This place was amazing and they had excellent service. This is a must try!!

Yelp
If you're a CFA lover, the original Dwarf House location is a must-visit! Their extensive menu, friendly and attentive service, and retro vibes make it an all around great experience. There's one side that functions like a typical CFA (but why would you come here for the regular experience), and the other side is a full sit down restaurant with waiter service. I had the chicken sandwich platter and the lemon icebox pie. There's a little play area out front for the kids, and being so close to the airport, you can watch the planes take off. When you visit, make sure you have time to sit down and really enjoy the experience.

Yelp
The food is shrinking and the prices are increasing... pass. It's obvious the sandwich is thinned out by at least half.

Yelp
This was my first time dining at the original Chick-fil-A and had such a wonderful experience. We were told this was recently renovated so we had to check it out. When you walk in, to the right side is the regular fast food side but to the left side is their counter service. We wanted to try the counter service so we had our name added to the waitlist. We were told the wait was about 30-40 minutes but we only ended up waiting for 15 minutes. We were seated at the counter and ordered the breakfast skillet, lunch trio and shared a chocolate box pie. The breakfast skillet had potatoes, eggs, bacon, cheese with a lot of creamy sauce. My lunch trio had a good amount of side salad, cup of chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese. The best part of this meal was the pie! It wasn't too sweet and the filling itself was very light.

Yelp
I was driving to my hotel from the airport and asked our driver to make a detour to the closest Chick-fil-A. Turns out...this is hollowed grounds! Total happenstance but was thrilled to find that this was the original Chick-Fil-A. The building is super cool and they have a bunch of other items that you don't find at other Chick-fil-As. Awesome!

Yelp
We just had to come check out the 1st chicken feel ya! They have a lot more stuff in the menu so that was really cool. The food and the drinks were good. It's a safe place for gnomes and trolls if this applies to you, they even have a special door for them. It's magical!

Yelp
If you're a Chick-fil-A fan, this location is a must-visit. If you're not a Chick-fil-A fan, it's probably worth a visit anyway because it's not your Grandma's Chick-fil-A (actually, it totally is, but that's not the point). This location is divided in two: on the left is the table-service restaurant and on the right is a pretty standard Chick-fil-A. If you want a seat in the restaurant, which again ... you do, then be prepared to wait. Maybe fifteen minutes, maybe an hour and fifteen minutes. Who knows. You'll find pretty typical diner fare including A HAMBURGER WHAT - even though it's a Chick-fil-A. Waffles. Omlettes. Soup. Salad. Chicken Melts. Lots of options. Did I mention the loaded waffle fries and fried okra? That's what I had. Because how could I possibly not? Will I come here regularly? Absolutely not, I live several states away. But if you're in in the Atlanta area, this is definitely a place to check out.

Yelp
Atmosphere: The Dwarf House consists of a Chick-fil-A restaurant, a sit down diner, and a makeshift museum of the history of Chick-fil-A. Even though there is a lot of history to the Dwarf House, the renovated building and outdoor area were very well kept and clean. Service: When we went on a late Thursday morning, the hostess told us that there would be a 30 minute wait for a table to dine in. Our wait flew by because we were exploring the different parts of the Dwarf House, but also because we were seated in around 15-20 minutes instead of 30 minutes. Once seated, our server was friendly and let us change our order last minute due to our indecisiveness and desire to try everything on their menu. However, we'll note that we ordered a Peach Milkshake, but it didn't come out until after we reminded our server when our entrees were served. Food: We ordered the Loaded Southern Chick-fil-A Waffle Potato Fries and Peach Milkshake to share, and the Truett's Famous Chick-fil-A Sandwich and Chick-fil-A Skillet as our entrees. The Loaded Potato Fries were very flavorful, and the bits of chicken nuggets were fresh and delicious. We enjoyed the Cilantro-Lime sauce, as it added a bit of freshness to the dish, but we found it to be a bit overpowering at times. The Peach Milkshake was light, not too sweet, and had the perfect amount of fruity flavor. The Chick-fil-A Sandwich was a classic Chick-fil-A sandwich with pickles on the side. We ordered it with a side of Fried Okra and the Sweet Potato Souffle. The sandwich was what we expected but had a very delicious and buttery bun that we haven't had at other Chick-fil-A's. The Fried Okra was fresh, but our favorite side was the Sweet Potato Souffle. It was sweet, smooth, and had a rich sweet potato taste reminiscent of Thanksgiving. The Chick-fil-A Skillet had essentially the same flavor profile as the Loaded Potato Fries. As a result, the meal felt pretty heavy, but it was still delicious! There was a perfect mix of cheese, eggs, chicken nuggets, and crispy biscuits on the hot skillet. Overall: We loved having the opportunity to try some of The Dwarf House's specialty items as well as the classic chicken sandwich at the original Chick-fil-A. We would love to come back and try even more items on their extensive dine-in menu. Dining in at the Original Chick-fil-A is an experience that we'd highly recommend to all Chick-fil-A fans!

Yelp
I was out running errands with my son's girlfriend, so we decided to eat here. We went through the drive-thru. It was crowded, but the lines moved really quickly. I ordered lemonade, Mac and cheese, and waffle fries. My son's girlfriend had the nuggets, waffle fries, abs lemonade. Everything was hot, and delicious. If we're in the neighborhood, we will be back.

Yelp
It's worth a visit at least just once. It's still chic fila. The services are great. And it's for sure fast food still.

Yelp
Such a fun experience! Stopped by here before heading to the airport. The wait time for a group of 4 on a Saturday at 4pm was approximately 10 minutes. Lots of parking and amazing staff. Nothing too different from the actual chick fil a menu but the loaded nachos, chicken and waffles, and skillet were delicious! Did I mention that it's only 5-10 min from the airport?!

Yelp
This place is like a Swaffle House with Chick-Fil-A quality service!!! I ate at the diner's counter. Grabbed the Chicken & Waffles and some hashbrowns. It was pretty good. The chicken didn't taste like the chicken sandwich chicken though! Maybe it's the grease The waffle was good and the hashbrowns were to be expected! They have dessert options as well as your regular CFA fast food options. You can even go on your own self-guided tour!

Yelp
I was overly excited to visit here. As someone who eats Chickfila several days a week (and in the next hour!), I was really looking forward to this visit. I arrived around 2-3pm on Saturday. It was full but not super busy. Since I was travelling alone, I opted to sit at the counter. Upon arrival I used the restroom which was clean and then only had to wait maybe three minutes for a seat to open up. I was promptly greeted and provided my beverage, a half sweet/half unsweet tea. Although they had a ton of options on the menu (more than a typical Chickfila) I stuck to some of my regular items. I simply thought it was cool being served Chickfila on a plate! I had the 12 count nugget meal with waffle fries and green beans. The nuggets and fries were consistent and the green beans were super tasty! I drowned my nuggets and waffle fries in Chickfila sauce as usual. I closed out my meal with a piece of the chocolate pie. It was good! The service was quick and attentive. The outside was cute since they had a little kids play area that was made out of waffle fries and pickles. The prices here are relatively cheap. I would definitely recommend stopping in to visit the original Chickfila location for a unique experience you will not get anywhere else.

Yelp
Had a great experience and loved visiting this Chick-fil-A. Our server was kind and it was very quick. Loved the vibe of the restaurant and the cool architecture. It was fun to see Chick-fil-A items in new variations on the menu.
