A Chick-Fil-A 1 star rating. That is what.
Every Chick-fil-A I have ever been to in my entire life has been nothing short of amazing. Food quality has always been top notch, and the service cannot be matched by any other restaurant. Period. It has been my philosophy if everything in my life was run like Chick-fil-A is ran, life would be a dream.
Yesterday evening after a hard day at work, and our refrigerator with a need to be restocked, I opted to have Chick-fil-A ordered and delivered. Figured why not reward myself, and give the wife a break from cooking.
I pulled up the Chick-Fil-A app on my phone and perused the menu. The app is always very user friendly, and very convenient. The app will give you an accurate wait time, and will show you the driver's progress in real time. So, the wife and I ordered the same Spicy Southwestern Salad, topped with chicken nuggets. I asked for the tomatoes to held off the salad, and the kiddos both ordered chicken nuggets. I paid for the food with my app, to include the delivery fee and tip, and waited for my food. Delivery was estimated at 45-68 minutes. No problem.
I was hesitant to order delivery this time because the last couple of times, they messed our order up. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, same on me? Well this time makes the fifth time of ordering delivery, so I was hoping the shame would end.
The food showed up in good time and was nice and warm and packaged neatly. All of the drinks were there, and things were looking good. Until I pulled the salads out of the bag. My salad was correct, but the wife's salad was not. Instead of the chicken nuggets she ordered, was this shredded grilled chicken. We also did not receive the sauces ordered with the kids chicken nuggets. So, fool me sixth time. The last time. I will now go out of my way not to visit this Chick-Fil-A. Not only am I getting the wrong food every time, I'm paying them extra to screw my order up. ON TOP of tipping them to mess it up. They also are banking on you not noticing the inflated food prices on their delivery menu to capitalize on the convenience.
Maybe on social media I will change my relationship status to "it's complicated" since I keep getting screwed and cannot get them to buy me dinner.
I'm sure the next question you are asking is "why didn't he just call the restaurant and tell them?" I'm glad you asked. I have done just so.
Each time, they give an empty feeling apology and tell them to just let them know the next time we go in there. Uh, yeah sure. One time I was given a promise for the food items to return on my app for next time, and that never happened either.
Reading other reviews of this particular Chick-Fil-A, wrong orders are a common thing here. Shame on me again for not reading the warning from fellow Yelpers. I will do my part and warn others as well. If this location decides to make this right in an acceptable way, I will revise this review.
I do not recommend this place, and I recommend driving across town to the other side of New Braunfels for the other location.
