They're not closed but they're clearly not trying to keep people coming back. My food cold. Probably because it was held hostage long past being "READY" on the text alert and order number display. This delay was intentional so that a manager could bring it out the side door, continue to hold it and not hand over the food I paid for, and waste my time complaining about the way I asked for no ice. I've had that request ignored at this location multiple times before, I don't think making the message longer was unwarranted. However, I do find the manager's actions unprofessional and believe she is setting a bad example for other employees. Overall, I've had good experiences with other Chick-fil-A locations. I hope she's dealt with appropriately. There was no straw, no sticker / label with receipt, the drink was sweet when I had ordered unsweet. It seems asking for no ice means it's the only part of your order that will be honored. As mentioned at top, whole meal was cold. Which come to think of it, isn't even food safe. How long was it on a counter rather than under a heat lamp?

The food is excellent if you call it fast food, we have never once had any complaints, it is clean, sometimes it is crowded, but I really like the atmosphere because these students give warmth and soul to this place. I like their youthful charm because you can see their faces full of dreams , ideas, and clarity. Everything is easy to order, there is a lot of space where you can sit, it is clean, the staff is very kind and really wonderful, it is literally next to our apartment 5 minutes, so it's ideal for quick meals. Thank you

Really a hit or miss. Best to go at times closer to opening since the lines are shorter. Wait times here can take about 10-15 minutes which isn’t too bad for a chickfila in my opinion. Around closing time 6-8 it’s clear they don’t change the frying oil. I’ve gotten food from here numerous times to try to get dinner and the chicken after 6pm always smells/tastes burnt and foul because they don’t change the oil. Customer service isn’t bad for the pay and hours employees work. The employees have stressful days, too so take that into consideration before you snap at them. They’re also most likely teenagers or students at the counter, too. Patience is key with any chickfila you go to since they’re all so busy. Some things that could be better are quality of food, wait times (probably from lack of quality training. this location needs more help due to the high population level on a college campus), and getting receipts back would help when you have a messed up order. :)

First time I went there, the cashier tried to charge me extra for fries that were included on my swipe. I told him cancel the fries, and he canceled my entire order all while charging me for one. Waited for an hour, all the while asking where my order went until they finally got a clue that my order was gone. Got my order 1 hour and 15 minutes after I ordered. Second time I went there, they somehow checked off my order before getting to it, and it was lost again. Lost track of how long I waited that time but all I can say is it severely inconvenienced my day. Both of those times they had a very nice staff member that was patient with me and gave me extra menu items to make up for it. It's no wonder why he's gone. This time I went, the staff was rude and they didn't have milkshakes, cookies, or brownies. Asked for three chick fil a sauces and cashier decided he's going to ignore me and gave me one. Small things, but enough for me considering my history with this overly expensive chick fil a restaurant.

Great customer service. Visited about 30 minutes ago, I was helped right away. I decided to get a 3 piece chicken mini entree, but the woman rung me up for the meal after i asked it was the entree price. i waited a good 5 minutes before being assisted with a different person-- Misty. She quickly gave me a refund and said that my food was "on us" and not to worry about paying it. I was shock that she offered to do that and from this, this chick-fil-a values customers highly!

I went to make an order and decided I wanted an extra fry close to payment, a lady with a heart tattoo on her neck asks me "You were in line for 5 minutes and didn't know your order?." This was never a problem at any other chick-fil-a, employees should be trained better than that.

Let me start by saying I am one of "those" Chick-fil-A lovers. I have got to have been to two dozen or so Chick-fil-A's across the U.S. I know and love Chik-fil-A. I feel inclined to review this Chick-fil-A because it's not quite up to the standards of other franchises in the Richmond area. The food was comparable to other Chick-fil-A's, although the fries were very crispy. I had to laugh when I ordered a large meal, and instead of receiving a large container of delicious waffle fries, I got two medium containers of fries. More bang for your buck, if you will. The service was sub-par. I'm used to super-friendly Chick-fil-A team members being a joy to interact with. The folks here were kinda grouchy and some looked half asleep. At least they did honor the customary "my pleasure" response to "thank you." My biggest complaint about the restaurant is that they don't accept mobile pay or orders. You can't scan your phone--meaning you can't earn points or redeem treats. That's one of my favorite things about Chick-fil-A now--the Chick-fil-A One loyalty program. Not accepted here. Overall, if you're desperate for a Chick-fil-A fix, this place will do the job. Just don't expect to be "wowed" like most every other Chick-fil-A.

They have options for the VCU Swipe Exchange that most freshman are required to be on; however, the swipes are only available on Saturdays. You can expect a very long line on Saturday morning and afternoon, since many people will want to take advantage of their once-a-week opportunity to eat some Chick-fil-A for swipes. They are open to take other forms of payment during the week with decent hours. The food is comparable to any other Chick-fil-A, but slightly worse than expected. This is likely because this is another location managed by Aramark, which has a bit of a reputation for being careless with food quality. I'd say it's worth it though. The customer service is better than most dining locations on the meal plan, but still worse than a standard Chick-fil-A. Aramark seems to place many part-time student workers at this location, which unsurprisingly results in some pretty dull interactions. All and all, this is one of the better places on the dining plan by a long shot. It has it's flaws, but in comparison to the rest of the meal plan, it deserves four stars.

Yelp
Waited hour and half for food. And it's a minimum of 30 min wait every time I go. Terrible

Yelp
Chick Fil A that is located in MCV/VCU hospital is trifflin. Slow. Stale bread old tomatoes and chicken from yesterday is what it tasted like. Food was horrible.

Yelp
Pretty terrible Chick-fil-a. I'm a VCU student and it's the only chik fil a on campus that I can use my swipes at but the time it takes for the food to be prepared can take from 2 minutes to 35 minutes. I mean 35 minutes for chick fil a is kind of ridiculous, especially when their customer service is atrocious and the food is subpar at best. Maybe I'm just used to the chick fil a's in northern virginia but yeah... this one sucks.

Yelp
Chickfila is my favorite restaurant of all time. Since I go to Chickfila a lot I have the rewards app. You get points every time you order something & can get food for free when you have a certain amount of points. Unfortunately, this Chickfila does not have a scanner for the rewards. They also do not have certain sauces or dressings like avocado lime ranch which is also my favorite. They are very friendly & have fast service. I have never had any other issues with this Chickfila.

Yelp
I have been to many chik- fil-a's. I used to go to my own campus Chik-Fil-A when I was in college. This campus Chik-fil-a does literally everything wrong. From the time I placed my order, Myself and at least 20 other people waited 30-40 minutes for our food. They got my order wrong as well as many others, and I had to have it corrected. When I went to East Carolina University, the Chik-Fil-A had all the food laid out, so students could come and grab what they wanted at their own leisure, and then they had to walk past the checkout counters to get to the dining area, effectively preventing any theft. There were no chik fil a cashiers, only cashiers of the dining hall that hosted the chik-fil-a. This Chik-Fil-A needs to do the same, they are clearly not capable of taking orders and delivering them in a timely manner. They are literally doing everything incorrectly here and it is a BAD representation of the Chik-Fil-A brand that we have all come to know. This place needs a REVAMP ASAP.

Yelp
They need to start doing salads made to order. Lettuce is always soggy and slimy since they make them way in advance. Always end up throwing away half of my lettuce.

Yelp
Litearlly the worst chick fil a I've ever been too. Every time I go, I think "this has to be a one time mistake" but it happens every time. The chicken is soggy. The chicken isn't comparable to any chick fil a I've had around the country. I've had the spicy chicken sandwich as well as the original (pictured). I also got nuggets which were soggy as well. After receiving a soggy sandwich I returned it and asked for a new one. The second one is the one in the picture. SOGGY!

Yelp
Worst Chick-fil-A I have ever been to. The girl Beatrice that waited on me had attitude for days. She didn't want to take my order to begin with, no pleasant greeting. When my drink was fixed incorrectly and I asked nicely to have it corrected, she rolled her eyes. I asked for honey roasted barbecue sauce to go with me meal and again with much attitude and was told they don't have any of that. However when I picked up my bag at the other end there was plenty of it in a container on the counter. No greeting, no thank you, no "my pleasure". These people definitely were not trained in the Chick-fil-A way of doing things.

Yelp
Y'all need to start giving us our receipts so that when we tell you we're missing something, you believe us and actually give us what we pay for. I paid for a milkshake and never got it, after asking the lady if I can have my milkshake. The cashier i had read back my order as i was paying for it, so i know i was charged for it...

Emma P.

Yelp
The service sucks, the workers don't listen and will your order wrong 9 times out of 10

Yelp
We were on the campus at VCU for an event and went to this Chick-fil-A location. What could go wrong? Everything. Literally the worst restaurant I have ever encountered. The staff was ignorant, filthy, disgusting and rude. They seem to take great pride in making customers suffer. They lack any ambition and apparently enjoy causing confrontations. Never again. Why the corporate office hasn't shut this place down is beyond me.

Yelp
The worst chick fil a ever! I went a few days ago, I asked for ketchup and chick fil a sauce because my cashier forgot to ask me and I didn't think anything of it so I asked the lady who handed me my food, and I've forgotten numerous times about my sauces and the lady who handed me my food has always been nice enough to give me my sauces, however, the girl working that day had the worst attitude! She goes "*my name* ask your cashier"with attitude, I normally wouldn't have wrote a review about bad service but that was very rude and disrespectful and it happens quite a bit! I will not be going there anymore

Ruthanne P.

Yelp
I've been to other Chick-Fil-As and been very satisfied. This one has very mixed quality. I've gotten excellent chicken and very dry chicken. The wait is normally very long to get the food. They never seem prepared for the in between class rush. Given that they are on a campus I would think that would be part of the planning. Placing the order is quick. However, I have to ask for my receipt.
