Burgers and chicken tastes good. Combo deals are a must. Friendly staff and quick service

Google
Ordered #1 on menu. Pretty quick. Good for its value. Every thing is normal. The same as other traffic centers, 2 or 3 asking for changes during the time when I eating my breakfast. So do have safety concerns, be alert!

Google
Before 7 AM that was already a line and the women today were so professional and quick. Hannah especially was the sweetest cashier I’ve ever met, there was a long line behind me, but she took the time to ask me how my morning was and get my name for the order and didn’t rush through and also helped me when I wanted to change something after my food arrived. She and the other kind m, awesome ladies should be seen as exemplars!

$9 for this? Wait times were also long

WONDERFUL & The Employees were POLITE & the Epitome of Professionalism👍🏿‼️

Google
Very quick and convenient for a traveler is the lower lever Chick-Fil-A. Staff were pleasant and speed was awesome. I placed my order and was in/out in no time. Tables near the restaurant were clear of trash, clean and were wiped down as soon as possible to allow for the next customer. Would highly recommend this location if you find yourself at Union Station, WDC.

Google
Not my best Chick-Fil-A experience. The employees definitely are not friendly and courteous as I've come to expect in most of their locations. The food was delicious though, and it was ready promptly. Unfortunately they don't allow the loyalty program here either :(

Google
Staff was extremely rude on Tuesday 11-5-2024 at 9:20 a.m. specifically the older woman working the register. First time I ever had a bad experience at chick-fil-a. Definitely don't recommend this one.

Sarah K. P.

Yelp
Was super excited to see Chick-fil-A at union station (it's on the lower level) but this place was a complete miss! Service is not quite the same level as a regular Chick-fil-A and the staff told me they're not affiliated with corporate so they don't take/use the app. They gave me the wrong order but did fix it but the chicken tenders tasted oily and like the oil hadn't been changed in a while. Overall there's other places to eat in union station so head there and pass on this one!

Caitlin R.

Yelp
Ordered a chick fil a biscuit sandwich and it came out on a rotten English muffin. What the heck?!

Max C.

Yelp
Good sandwiches and fries came quick, cashier did the bare minimum but overall was a good experience

Yelp
I came here for a weekday lunch. I was pleasantly surprised by the efficient service. There was no wait during the prime lunch hour. When placing my order at the register, the cashier asked all of the pertinent questions - what I wanted to order, what I wanted to drink, desired sauces and condiments. Asking all of these questions ensured my order requirements were met which eliminated the need to go back to the counter for "forgotten" extras. By the time my drink order was fulfilled with sauces in-hand, as I moved on down the counter to the pick-up area, they called my name, handed me my order, and I was on my way! The order was accurate and they even included napkins in the bag. My only qualm is that they don't accept their app at this location to rack up the loyalty points/rewards or to do advanced ordering. But all in all, it's a solid lunch stop at Union Station. Find them in the basement food court.

Hannah H.

Yelp
Located in the food court at Union Station, this Chick-fil-A, as other Chick-fil-As, offers their classic sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast items (chicken with a biscuit), and even desserts. Before our trip, we decided to stop by to grab a quick lunch to-go - I ordered the Chick-fil-A Nuggets combo, which came with a side of waffle fries and a drink, which I opted for the Sunjoy (1/2 sweet tea and 1/2 lemonade). Note that because this is located in Union Station, the prices are a bit higher and you can't use your Chick-fil-A loyalty app/rewards - boo! Staff is pretty efficient and keeps the line moving. I just wished that they weren't stingy with providing napkins, sauces, as well as any plasticware for your meals. +located at the food court in Union Station +does not accept Chick-fil-A loyalty app/rewards

Yelp
Too salty Too salty Too salty It is too salty, fast food, not as good as KFC, burger

Carmine N.

Yelp
This is the worst child fil a, the one at union Station. It's an expexpress so can't get pts. The egg sandwiches are bad. However, after coming to the union Station one I am deleting my app because this the only one I come to. Started using the union Station about yr ago, time to say goodbye.

Catherine M.

Yelp
Very mid, this spot looks empty but takes forever and is a hot mess. The lady taking my order was sweet but when I ordered a combo it was rung up as a drink and nuggets with no fries. It took a bit so if you are close to boarding your train, beware. The nuggets were ok but mostly small pieces and sad I didn't get the fries I thought I ordered.

xiya l.

Yelp
Wow this line is wrapped around and to the escalator. 20 min and still not at the front of the line. The back is making food fast enough so basically when you order people are getting food but the two cashiers can't move quickly enough causing the long line. This is horrible for fast food

Erin F.

Yelp
Grabbed a grilled wrap meal from this Chik fil a and took it back to my office. Everything was fine till I took the lid off the Coke to add ice. Found a receipt and gift card balled up floating in my Coke. Gross and I'm sure the person filling the cup saw it. I'll never eat at chick fil a again

John F.

Yelp
8/18/21 I can't say my experience here was all that bad, but I really dislike it when you ask for something extra, pay for it only to have those items not be included in your meal is quite...aggravating. The young stster who took my order got everything right, but the sandwich maker dropped the ball. I know I should have going back to the store, but waiting in a massive line to get the missing slice of cheese and bacon wasn't appealing. I also did not wish to lose my seating table. Still the chicken sandwich was very hot and the fries were too. For those people who like hot fries and food, this is the place for you. I don't know if free refills are an option at this restuarant due to The Coronavirus Outbreak and The Delta Variant, but it was something I thought about while eating. Tried calling to find out, but they are obviously to busy to answer the phone. Still, the chicken sandwich was the hottest (and I don't mean spicy) sandwich I have ever eaten. I want another...

Jeffrey L.

Yelp
This place gave me terrible food poisoning. The chicken sandwich was undercooked and the staff clearly don't follow safety protocols. I saw them using their bare hands.

Allison N.

Yelp
OK, so I have never had a bad experience here. It certainly isn't the same style of Chick-fil-A as a standalone location but they also gave me so much chicken in my salad that I feel that alone is worth increasing the rating by a full star. I think the prices are slightly higher at this location vs. other locations but could be wrong. The quality I've had at this particular location hasn't been terrible. Would definitely stop by before my next train ride!

Evan G.

Yelp
Chick-fil-A at Union Station in DC is a great Chick-fil-A location and has everything that you need when you are hungry and need something quick. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have everything that you need.

Yelp
FOOD: We had come here on a Tuesday afternoon at around 1:00 pm for lunch as we were transitioning at the Metro Station. I had settled on the Chick-Fil-A Chicken Sandwich ($3.55), along with the Chick-Fil-A-Waffle Potato Fries ($1.85), and an Iced Tea ($1.65). My husband had settled on the Chick-Fil-A Chicken Sandwich ($3.55), the Chick-Fil-A-Waffle Potato Fries ($1.85), the Grilled Nuggets ($4.25), and an Iced Tea ($1.65). In regards to the Chick-Fil-A Chicken Sandwich, I was a tad disappointed that it had hardly anything on it; only pickles, in which I don't like. Since this was my first time visiting a Chick-Fil-A, I was unsure of the items on the menu therefore, I most likely ordered something that I shouldn't have. I had to place all of the condiments on the sandwich myself as there were no condiments on it. I did enjoy the large piece of chicken that I had received in the sandwich though, and felt that it was very filling. The Chick-Fil-A-Waffle Potato Fries were delicious, definitely something different from normal fries, which are served at most fast-food restaurants. They tasted light, and easy to dip into the ketchup which was provided. In terms of the Grilled Nuggets, I didn't enjoy the spice that was on them, and only tried one as a result. The Iced Tea had too much sugar, and wasn't very cold (temperature-wise); I only took a few sips, then set it aside. ATMOSPHERE: This restaurant was situated on the bottom level of Union Station in Washington, D.C. There were many restaurants in the food court, and it was quite busy for a Tuesday, with many guests choosing to dine at the tables provided. The tables were small, and it was a tight-squeeze to get into the tables from the ordering area. Since it was a food court, it was also very loud, with uncomfortable chairs, and tight arrangements. SERVICE: My husband had decided to place the order, while I grabbed a table nearby. Upon returning to our table, he told me that the staff were very nice, and that they had an individual in line with an iPad taking the orders. Therefore, when my husband reached the front of the line, his food was practically ready for pick-up. He also mentioned that the staff were orderly, and he would be comfortable to place another order with them in the future. COST: 2 Chick-Fil-A Chicken Sandwiches ($3.55 x 2 = $7.10) + 2 Chick-Fil-A Waffle Potato Fries ($1.85 x 2 = $3.70) + 1 Order Of Grilled Nuggets ($4.25) + 2 Iced Teas ($1.65 x 2 = $3.30) = $18.35 WOULD YOU RETURN? I would be interested in trying the other items on their menu, as I found most of the items to be tasty, and definitely worth the price.

Lily D.

Yelp
On my way home I placed a lunch order for the nuggets meal, a milkshake and 2 chocolate chip cookies. It wasn't busy but my order was incorrect. My hands were full so I wasn't able to double check the bag but I received a cookie and a brownie rather than the 2 cookies. I called to see if I could get a credit for a future order and an assistance manager ( I believe) took my information and will send me a giftcard once reviewed by management. No big deal and I appreciate the offer for a giftcard. My only additional comment is that some of the staff could be friendlier.

Brian W.

Yelp
After 20 years of avoidance because of their homophobic stance decided to give them a chance. Gave me the wrong order which I found out later on the train getting one sad ass patty on a bun instead of the tenders and fries I paid for. Maybe there's more than one Bryan/Ryan/Ayan in the world. Idiots. At least McDonald's verifies the receipt number.

Ben E.

Yelp
Exceptional customer service. I noticed that there were many demanding customers asking for different things when presented with their order, likely due Union station food court being loud and customers wearing masks which muffles the voice. The blue shirt staff was respectful and patient while doing her best to provide efficient food delivery. Food was hot and exactly what I expected, yummy!

Jay P.

Yelp
Unfortunately, this is close to where I work so if I'm in the mood for Chick-fil-A I have no other options. Not only has my stomach gotten upset from what I presume to be an undercooked biscuit, some of the staff there is just rude. I mistakenly picked up a bag that I thought was mine as the name sounded similar. When I realized my mistake and went back, the manager rolled his eyes at me and said "your name isn't so and so" and slid my bag of food across to me with an attitude. Is it really that serious? I'm sure I'm not the first or last person to make this mistake but that reaction was completely unwarranted. Definitely not the level of customer service I've come to expect from Chick-fil-A.

Torya M.

Yelp
This rating is simply because of the customer service alone. I have never met a group of ladies who lacked enthusiasm, professionalism or politeness. My boyfriend and I had an appointment in the area so to kill time we came to eat breakfast here. We ordered the chick mini 10 count meal but received attitude from our cashier when we didn't know that we need to add the drink and side for an additional fee. No biggie, but the attitude wasn't necessary. I ordered a Sprite and after taking a few sips I wanted something else because it was totally flat!! I walked over to the register and asked for another beverage and with attitude again, asked what machine did the staff person get it from and what was wrong with it. I don't know and just replace it please! Only one napkin in the bag with greasy items lol . . . give me more napkins! Perhaps they didn't have their cup of joe before the shift began and the floors were very very dirty. I do hope to experience better from this location. The customer service lacked and their attentiveness to their customers were very lackadaisical. Will think twice if I'm in the mood for chicken and will visit another location for better everything! :)

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Got diarrhea 20 minutes after done eating. gonna stay away from here from now on. I got the spicy sandwich meal during lunch rush hour.

Adam M.

Yelp
I came to this location this morning at 8:30am to get a chicken biscuit and coffee. After waiting in line and ordering I was told by the cashier that they only had decaf "at the moment." I would have waited for it to brew but she didn't offer me that opportunity and was not very friendly overall. I just left and went upstairs to Pret. Would not return based on this experience

Aiden V.

Yelp
I went here while I was waiting for my train. The customer service was poor, an entire sandwich was. Initially forgotten from my order, and this place was significantly more expensive than the ones back home with a much lower quality to cost ratio. Sandwich was pretty good though.

Austin G.

Yelp
Chick-fil-A is known for being efficient and friendly. This is not that. Out of all of the DC shops, this one is slow and NOT friendly. I took me five minutes in front of the register to have my order taken and another five to get the food. If you can overlook that, they still make a mean spicy chicken sandwich and waffle fries.

Courtney L.

Yelp
It is about time Union Station got a Chick-fil-A. I went around noon and the line was long but what else is new? The line moved fast and the staff is friendly. I ordered the Market Grill Salad and was on my way. No issues.

David H.

Yelp
Probably the worst chick-fil-a I've ever been to. I've been for breakfast a few times now before catching a train, and it's the same every time - dry, hard to swallow biscuits that can't be eaten without sauce. Also they don't accept the app here. They're still nice and the line moves quickly, but the food isn't up to par with real CFA locations

Eddie R.

Yelp
Upon discovering Chick-fil-a grand opening Monday April 23, 2018, I had to make my way there for breakfast. I was immediately greeted for coming, and provided my meal order. There were an excessive amount of Chick-fil-a employees behind the cash registers. I had to wait for over fifteen minutes for a chicken sandwich combo. I highly suggest not visiting this Chick-fil-a location for breakfast. I could have made it to the office before my food appeared. Future Chick-fil-a customers, you have been warned.

Courtney C.

Yelp
My friends and I were extremely hungry so we decided to pop into the food court to grab some food. The storefront is neatly organized with poles to guide the line to order and pick up. They have a huge menu on display for customers to decide what they want ahead of time. There were multiple cashiers available to take orders, but the employees weren't too polite. To put it bluntly, the cashier looked unenthusiastic when taking my order. It was my first time ordering from this fast food chain, so I went with the chicken sandwich and fries. After taking the first bite, I immediately fell in love with the sandwich. It was extremely flavorful with the perfect combination of chicken and spices. The fries were really good too, but not as delicious as the sandwich. I wish I went to Chick-fil-A more often but due to it's location, it was inaccessible to me. Overall, my first and only time going to Chick-fil-A was satisfactory.

Hope E.

Yelp
Why are you rude early in the morning...definitely not the positive attitude and customer service I'm use to from employees. April 9th 2022 @815am, young Caucasian male.

Willie R.

Yelp
When my friends and I are headed out to our annual retreat, we nearly always stop here. I'm here for Chick-fil-A's chicken bites and their half-vanilla-half-strawberry milkshakes (that is the best flavor combo...it's not on the menu, but just ask for it!). As usual, the service is speedy and ridiculously friendly. Nothing to complain about here.

Aaron R.

Yelp
"Eat mor chikin" say the cows of Chick-fil-A, and that's what you should do too. This is a new Chick-fil-A, fulfilling the yearning for more establishments within the district. This location almost makes up for the now-defunct Verizon Center location and is way more convenient for many than Columbia Heights. Be patient since they just opened, and everyone and their mother is flocking to Union Station to eat the masterpiece that is the chicken sandwich. Lines are long, although the staff are efficient. Expect to wait 10 to 20 minutes if you're going at peak times. Also, it's Chick-fil-A, so they have chicken... and chicken. If you want my recommendation, get the spicy chicken deluxe sandwich with a large fries and regular lemonade. Also ask for the Chick-fil-A sauce that is to die for. This is a welcome addition to Union Station and just another way to eat more delicious chicken. And yes, they're closed Sundays.

Fluffy M.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. Gives company a bad rep. Probably the worst chick-fil-a i ever been to.

Jim P.

Yelp
What? They don't accept the app for payment? After writing a recent review about a visit that saved me time at other locations in NYC, coupled with the fact that I have money sitting on the app that I want to use...ya need to get on board and implement that as a convenience to customers on the go. Otherwise it was my first time ordering breakfast from Chick-fil-a and it was pretty good. Standard food and service.

Sean M.

Yelp
This chain is not mobile order compatible. There's plenty of seating and tons of other nearby options. However, this area has tons of beggars who'll pester you for money. The food here is just as good as any other chain, but the service aspect is lost. Regardless, a nice mainstay for someone travelling though the station.

Natalie A.

Yelp
Love the very friendly and accommodating staff working on May 14, 2022 at 8am. Thank you for your kindness, recommendations and patience. Food was on point. Prices are higher than other Chick-fil-A locations but it's like airport prices.

Ashley J.

Yelp
I came here for breakfast on my way to work. Their were only 3 people working. The lady who checked me out was nice and made sure I had everything I needed. The only downside is that their menu isn't as expansive as other chick filas. I really wanted a chicken and cheese bagel but that wasn't a menu option. I will go back and have lunch one day and if anything changes then I will update my review. Today I just ordered a chicken biscuit with hash browns and a fruit cup. My sandwich was delicious and so as my fruit cup. The hash browns tasted old or maybe they were reheated and they were soft and not crunchy like I'm used too. The restaurant looked clean to me and so did the surrounding areas. The last downfall is that this is in Union Station and there are various homeless people who linger.

Cara B.

Yelp
Stopped in on Saturday evening with my fiancé for a quick bite to eat after a long rainy day of sightseeing. He had ordered a Spicy chicken sandwich deluxe and I had ordered a chicken sandwich with a side of medium fries. After waiting 20 minutes for our order while people behind us ALL had received their orders already I was informed there was no lettuce, tomato and jalapeño cheese. Which is what a Deluxe entails and why he ordered and paid for a Deluxe.... I then asked if they were going to refund us the difference since he was now receiving a plain chicken sandwich and not a deluxe. The person at the counter informed us that it was too close to closing time and he was denied the refund of the difference in prices. Had we known about this shortage of food before waiting over 20 minutes he would have ordered an entirely different order. Needless to say we were very disappointed in our experience with Chick-fil-a Union Station and will not be going back. I also am going to speak with my fiancé's credit card company because we were charged for food we did not even receive!

Matthew S.

Yelp
This Chick-fil-A is an embarrassment to the franchise. It was very unclean and the menu is very limited. The tables were not cleaned off and there were flies buzzing around. It was gross. Unlike every other Chick-fil-A I've ever been to, this one does not offer refills. The staff was kind but that was about the only thing this Chick-fil-A has in common with other Chick-fil-A restaurants. Very disappointing!

Graham B.

Yelp
As far as fast food goes, it really doesn't get much better than this place. There's a reason the line during lunch is more than twice as crowded here than at any other Union Station food court spot. There are service issues (there are too few cashiers and food takes a bit longer to come out than other locations) owing to the fact that the location is small. But the food is consistent. You get the same chicken sandwich, nuggets, and waffle fries as you get at any other location in the country--that is, damn good. My biggest complaints: They don't carry my favorite menu item: chicken strips. (On days I want the strips, I visit the Bojangles at the other end of the food court.) And the app doesn't work here--tragic, because I hate standing in lines. Even with those drawbacks, it's easily the best place to grab a quick meal in Union Station.

Matt W.

Yelp
Look, I know they say "don't look a gift biscuit in the mouth" and it's true, I'm GLAD there's a Chick-Fil-A in Union Station. That said, this location needs to work out the kinks. I walk by or through Union Station every single day, and it's great to have a new option to put fear into my 30-inch-waisted pants that their jobs will be outsourced to size 32s. As a Capitol Hill resident, I already had relatively easy automobile access to the full-service Maryland Ave drive thru location, so I wasn't as CFA-starved as some Washingtonians. Now that the hubbub has died down a little bit at Union Station, I figured I'd review this location. I've been several times. Big things to note: 1. Limited menu - no soups, no Southwest Chicken Salad (this one stung) and probably other things absent. From what I've heard, some of these limitations may be due to anti-competition rules among the food purveyors at the station, but that is just what I heard from other workers. Makes sense though - Bojangles and Chopt both compete with different aspects of CFA's menu pretty directly. 2. Friendly but slow service - it's weird. Like most CFAs, there's an army of workers up front, and they keep the order line moving. They've all been very polite and full of CFA's trademark "my pleasure" replies. BUT, for example, last time I ordered a single Chicken Biscuit I found myself standing there with my tea for 5-7 minutes. That's an eternity in fast-food, especially for a product that's normally ready-made for the morning rush. Maybe the cooks were shorthanded, but it was hard to understand how there could be 8-9 cashiers up front, two cooks visible in the kitchen, and such a long wait for a simple order. 3. Taste has been uneven - I expect this will improve with time, but, for breakfast, the biscuits have been hit or miss. I don't know if it's freshness or what, but a couple times the biscuit has tasted like the pre-made, dry chick-fil-a biscuits in my old college's express Chick-Fil-A back in the day (students back then didn't have particularly discerning tastes, and the student workers were fine with that). Bottom-line: It's Chick-Fil-A. You probably know what the deal is, and if you're looking for cheap food in Union Station, it's a good option. If the line is too long, go to Bojangles. Their biscuits are the best in fast food outside of Hardee's and Tudor's Biscuit World (the best ever, but God what a fattening restaurant). My big complaint? PLEASE CARRY THE SOUTHWEST CHICKEN SALAD if at all possible. I'd like to eat healthy, and I don't want to pay $18 for some hand-petted, lullabied-to-sleep, organic southwest chicken salad at Chopt served with gold flake-infused balsamic aioli vinaigrette spread chutney mayo surprise! I was really, really disappointed to find I can't swing through here for my favorite salad on the way home for a quick dinner.

Yelp
Weeeeelllll this place continue the legacy no DC chain restaurant location is capable accurately completing a drink order. On THREE (yes, THREE) separate occasions, different times of day, well spaced apart I came by to order a diet lemonade. The first visit I was told "The diet lemonade doesn't have Splenda (the usual sweetener) in it right now. You'll have to add it." So, moral of this story, Just shy of $3 for a large glass of lemon water!!!!!! What the?????? Oh yes, and I'm trying to navigate this mess with a broken arm. Okay, it's later in the day so I'm willing to cut them some slack thinking they are possibly trying to just finish out the day. Although at a location near BWI, late evening (not DC so take notice) the same order received the appropriate beverage without my sweetening assistance. AND because they were winding down for the day, we were asked if we would like to take a jug of the stuff home. Which we did. Very gracious of them. I do love me some Chik Fil A, however, and was willing to shake off bad beverage day 1. Unfortunately arm is still broken and requires regular jaunts to my medical providers. And this location is super handy when arriving by Metro. Two subsequent visits, same story, same nonsense. Go to a Virginia or Maryland location in this same time frame, perfect diet lemonade handed straight to me. Seriously, Chik-Fil-A patrons speak up for your right to not get screwed by this company's DC workers. They should learn lemon water equals lazy equals bad review.

Sean C.

Yelp
Good food and friendly staff. Unfortunately, unlike many other stores in the Union Station food court, there is no contactless payment such as Apple Pay. They don't even accept Chick-fil-A's own Chick-fil-A One app for payment. You must hand cash or credit cards back and forth. In this day of COVID-19, yuck.

Charles B.

Yelp
What a great and convenient location Employees very friendly and helpful Food tastes great, hot and fresh and the place is clean, what else can you ask for

Kurt S.

Yelp
Another wonderful location. Great food with very courteous staff and clean facilities Will visit again for sure and would recommend to everyone to go there

Lauren S.

Yelp
really amazing food and the service was amazing , everyone is so kind and always gets the order correct the first time.

Yelp
So I've been to a lot of Chick-fil-A's. [ And I just read the review from Matt W. and I have to agree with him mostly.] I've been there 3 times this week, always in the morning when I'm heading to work. Here is my summary: Day 1: Ordered the egg white sandwich on muffin meal. It was okay, but the hash browns were overcooked to the point that they were hollow. I also heard one of the employees apologizing to a customer that they were out of the "biscuit minis". Day 2: Ordered an egg white sandwich and was told they were out of muffins and would I take a biscuit. I agreed, but it wasn't what I wanted. Day 3: Today; Friday morning. I ordered the egg white sandwich and was told again that they were out of muffins. I just shook my head and walked away. In summary, the place is understaffed (but polite), the food is inconsistent (but edible), and even though breakfast has a limited number of ingredients, they can't seem to keep stocked. I've given this place a chance, but I'm done with this location.

Yelp
I don't just go to Chick-fil-A for the food. I'd say 60%-70% is because I support their goal of cultivating an environment that teaches young people to become successful in our society. It's even written into their culture they are customer-focused. Part of their corporate purpose is to "...have a positive influence on all who come into contact with Chick-fil-A." I've seen amazing things as someone who has visited Chick-fil-A all over Prince George's County (notorious for not having great customer service) and the incredible job they are doing a short jaunt away from this location on Maryland Ave NE. Those employees are well-positioned to succeed in any culture they are involved in. So when I decided I wanted the rare treat of a milkshake the other day, I decided to do my part in supporting Chick-fil-A's mission and grabbing one at the Union Station location. I was "greeted" by a young woman who didn't look me in the eyes and boredly asked me what my name was. She then asked me what I wanted and I said a Spicy Chicken Sandwich meal. "What sauce and what drink?" Chick-fil-A sauce and Diet Coke. Practically cutting me off she gave me the price. I then said, "...and a Cookies and Cream milkshake." The response was a continuation of her bored attitude, looking like it was a bother, and deciding how to answer me. She came up with, "Uhhh, we ain't doing shakes right now." Was this true? Did she just want to get onto the next order? It was a total turnoff to be cutoff, followed by what appeared to be laziness. I cancelled my order and spoke to the manager, expressing they are not fostering the culture to make their employees successful members of this society. There is no way corporate Chick-fil-A would see this interaction and deem it acceptable. Despite living and working around the corner, I will not eat at this location again, and I don't believe it will make much of a difference to their bottom line considering the unreal amount of tourists frequenting this location. So my message is not meant to draw attention to the measly amount of money they are losing out on, but to inform the management they need to step up their game and prepare these kids for the real world. Telling me why they weren't making shakes after laying the foundation of not wanting to do any more than the bare minimum the job requires would have been a much better way to interact with a customer. "I'm sorry, we aren't doing shakes right now because xxxx," would have been a perfectly acceptable way to conduct the interaction. Instead, I came away with an extremely bad taste in my mouth, and doubt that management here is paying attention. Please, Union Station Chick-fil-A, don't just try to sell chicken products to the masses. I'm a 4th-generation DC-born resident, and what I experienced says in bold type "DC is a sub-par place, not capable of producing quality individuals or decent customer service." I'd encourage you to use this opportunity you've been given at a great location under the direction of a company that actually cares, to shape the lives of your employees, and set them up for success later in life. I've seen plenty of locations in worse areas which have been able to turn your standard hourly-rate employee into model citizens. You can do it too.

Yelp
I have to agree with what others have posted about this location. This chick-fil-a must not have to adhere to the same standards as other locations, as it varies greatly from any other one I've been to. The good: it's in union station, so it's convenient for commuters, their lunch is pretty good, and once you actually place your order the food comes out pretty fast. The bad: breakfast is terrible. Their biscuits seem to be completely different recipe (consistency is different, and hard, sometimes even burnt), chicken on the biscuit is usually not as good as what they serve at lunch (hard, chewy, burnt, etc). Ice isn't the usual chick-fil-a "nugget/pellet" ice, no Mac and cheese (menu itself is limited compared to others), doesn't accept the mobile app for anything, line sometimes takes awhile because the cashiers are slow and uninterested.

Yelp
Will not honor promotional tickets. At a wizards game where everyone gets a free sandwich as long as you show Chick-fil-A your ticket stub. Apparently they don't honor that at this location...
