I tried Chick-fil-A for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The chicken sandwich was tasty and the service friendly. The place was a bit busy, but overall a good experience. Looking forward to trying more from the menu!

As a former employee of an extremely high performing Florida Chick-fil-A, the experience I had at this location on Saturday June 28 was extremely concerning. I arrived at the location at 8pm, two hours before the location was set to close, and the dining room was marked as closed. No tables were useable and when we received some of our food and were waiting on our drinks, we were screamed at for eating our food standing up while we waited. One person in our group ordered a 12 count nugget and was charged $25. Not only did he not receive 12 nuggets, the manager demanded he wait outside the building for his food and was given chicken strips instead. Even though there were 5-7 employees including managers in the front of house at the time of our visit, not a single one was making drinks or desserts and we waited almost 20 minutes after our food came out to get our drinks. This location should be stripped of its franchising license and made into a McDonald’s in order to better align with the experience we had.

Great chick fil a! Curbside took a little longer than expected, but they were very informative of why and even made up for it with a complimentary meal card. The inside is also a unique layout that I really enjoy. The food was fresh and amazing. Thank you guys!

Went to this Chick fil A right at noon. As one would expect it was super busy. The staff were friendly and our food was ready in a very reasonable amount of time. The restaurant wasn’t clean, per se, but I wouldn’t call it filthy by any means. The restroom was very clean. I had an original chicken sandwich, the crunchy kale side and of course waffle fries. All were tasty and fresh. I like the new cups with the sleeve. I had a positive experience at this location and would definitely eat here again.

I love Chick- FIL-A, be it I am from Nashville Tennessee. This one was clean and roomie. The restrooms were also clean. I don't know if it is DC or just the mood that day, but staff did not seem as friendly. When I asked for a refill for my drink...I felt as though I was inconveniencing the staff when I did. No hi... thank you ...or, what I always get at all of them "my pleasure" lol. The waffle fries were more like waffle bits. The whole bottom half of my fire box was bits like the pic I uploaded. I have never had that happen before. But, I still recommend to eat here... wonderful company.

First time in Chick-Fil-A - staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, food was delicious and the restaurant was very well kept. Only issue - there is not much seating available if you are in a group of 3 or more. That being said, I was very impressed and hope to visit again soon :)

I'm surprised by the low reviews here - the food is the same consistent quality from any chick-fil-a and the staff are bright, cheerful, attentive, and efficient. The restaurant seems clean too. No complaints. Solid and typical chik-fil-a experience.

Worst chick-fil-A ever! They gave me chicken strips that tasted like they had been sitting at the bottom of the bin for hours. They were cold and rubbery and I didn't know until I got home because I ordered them to go. From this experience, I just learned to always check my food before I walk out the door. So ridiculous that something so overpriced could be so terrible, because the staff were too lazy to make fresh ones because they wanted leave at 10:00 and go home. (I got there at 9:05). Someone needs to take a pay hit for these types of obvious mistakes. I will listen NEVER go back to this location. Enter at your own risk... I don't think I'll be eating chicken for awhile. Looking at any chicken will keep me reimagining this sickening experience again.

What more is there to say....about a Chick-fil-A!? You would have to be living underneath a rock!...No, forget that....the Grand Canyons if you don't know about it.... at least on the east coast. The food is always made fresh, prepared with quality-real ingredients and the customer service is always far above par. This location is new and falls right in-line with all the others. The food is fresh and per usual....good!! The menu is full of all the items you tend to be familiar with, when it comes to Chick-fil-A. Everything I ordered today was on point and delicious! I ordered my "go-to".....the #1 Meal: Chick-fil-A Deluxe w/ Waffle Fries and the Fresh Squeezed Lemonade. As if this was not enough food already, I order 8 nuggets and a Strawberry milkshake to satisfy the inner greedy voice inside of me begging for more. Overall...My order was great....prepared semi-fast and the food...served hot. As a general first impression, the wait time was a bit long for only two customer is the store but my order was a thumbs up. My only displeasement with this locations and order was my fries!! They were uncooked and a huge "no beuno" in my book. For now, I just chalked it up to them being new and still getting things in order. So the next time, they need to be nothing less than crispy and on point. Other than this, I am so glad to see this location finally opened. I am sure I will be a frequent visitor. When it comes to finding great fast food....somewhat on the healthy tip....if you don't always include a lemonade, brownie & milkshake like I do...this is it! Honorable Mention: This location is opened for contactless pickup and delivery only for now.

If you are the type of person who eats at Chick-fil-A I would nonetheless not eat at this particular Chick-fil-A. I don't eat much at Chick-fil-A but I had a gift card. Went twice in one week. Both times they got something about my order wrong. The first time they gave me the wrong item - breaded instead of grilled - and the second time they forgot all the sauces. This was made worse by the slow, crowded conditions each side. In addition, some of the staff wore their masks incorrectly (below nose) and at least one customer came in without a mask, which is against DC code, and he was allowed to go about his business. The food is fine, but I can't find anything to recommend about this specific location.

Are you looking for the absolute slowest Chick-fil-A you've ever experienced? One where there is zero sense of urgency, plenty of confusion/misunderstanding and a sprinkle of apathy? LOOK NO FURTHER!!! Picked up an order placed online that said 3-7 minutes. They were reaching for the stars. Try 17-19 minutes. Why order online if it is the same tortoise speed it would be in person? Also, received my drinks eight minutes before my meal. Umm...thanks? By the time I started eating, the ice had melted and it was half water. Before leaving, I checked my bag. The order was incorrect. Who woulda thunk it? (And who trains cashiers during meal rush!?!?)

I'm a big Chick-fil-A fan and their food & service has always been consistently spot-on quality no matter which location I go to. However, this Chick-fil-A location has gone rogue. What was consistent here is their long line and efficiency to capture your orders. Yes, there's a wait- it's not as fast as other fast food places (i.e McDonalds, Taco Bell), but it took my combo order and kid's meal about 5 minutes to receive. What isn't consistent here is their chicken. The meat is very dry and tough- this isn't for those with a weak jaw. The chicken fry batter came out as dark brown, instead of the perfect golden color. It is likely that that the chefs left it in the fryer for too long or did not change the oil for days. My kid didn't finishing eating his nuggets after chewing one for at least 10-15 minutes. The only thing that was left to enjoy was the chocolate milk and toy. While this location failed to uphold delivering a decent meal, the location itself felt unwelcoming. I'm not sure if I can blame the manager or franchise owner on this one, but we went on a Saturday early evening (~5pm) and bars/rooftop clubs were opened. The partygoers were rowdy down this block. Many of them had the munchies so they ordered along with us and they ate in front of the restaurant (the dining room was closed at the time). They created a huge mess on the ground- I mean sandwich wrappers, spilled sodas, and sauce packets were everywhere. If you mastered the game of Floor Is Lava, then please come here and tell me if you made it across. But, this place is less than idea on a weekend evening considering the inebriated crowds.

Truly an awful location. The overall feel of the place is that of a prison block. I wish I could tell you about the taste of the food. I can't though, because an employee with a gun asked me to pack up and leave before I finished my second french fry. Apparently, despite the fact that it was empty, dine-in is not allowed on Saturday afternoons. Not kidding.

Chick-fil-A is among our most favorite restaurants. We have always enjoyed the food and service. While visiting Washington DC, we had to walk a distance to get to this location only to discover their dining room is closed. We were quite frustrated we could not sit down and enjoy our food, but went along with it. We placed this order only to get back to our hotel and discover they shorted us a spicy chicken sandwich. Very disappointed and recommend anyone visit a different location for better service and accurate order received.

It was a bit confusing how to line up as there were several lines, which I later realized was one line for ordering and one line for picking up already ordered food. There is no inside dining. The cashier was friendly, efficient, and attentive. They weren't stingy on the sauces; I ordered the nugget meal with waffle fries and lemonade and asked for Chick-fil-A sauce and Polynesian sauce and received two of each. The chicken nuggets were nuked, so they weren't as enjoyable as I'd like. The lemonade was super sweet and delicious. The fries had that just-cooked fresh taste and were crispy and simply a delight to devour except that half the pieces were the size of fingernails. They identify your food bag with your name AND what you're wearing! My bag said "brown jacket"---lol! It IS a good way for them to quickly find me. They should always do that---could make things so much easier especially with music playing, difficulty with hearing names called, and inability to read lips because of masks on. Convenient downtown location but no dedicated parking lot as expected so just garages and street parking if you're lucky. No drive-thru here either. They currently have three options for ordering: order ahead and pick up inside, order ahead and pick up curbside, or order inside and pick up inside.

I'm a Georgia native and have lived in DC for 2+ years now. I have visited other Chick-fil-a in the area with no complaints. I ordered my fav meal (Chicken strips and fries) twice from this location through UberEats. The outcome was the same for both orders. Overcooked tenders and half full fry box. The first time I gave them a pass. The second time tells me, this is normal for this location. The quality, care and attention that Chick-fil-a is known for does not apply to this location. The general manager and/or owner here is putting a stain on the reputation built on great food and service. I will not visit/order from this location again.

I really appreciate everything about the Business Model of the Chic-Fila organization. However, I think it's time for them to place a bit more emphasis on the quality of the food preparation at some of their locations. I visited Store # 04346 on May 23, 2023, at 1:57 p.m. Really ready to enjoy the Chicken Nugget Meal. I ordered the 30 count Meal Box which came with a drink and the Waffle Fries and sat down with my friend to enjoy. A few bites into the fries, they were so salty you could feel the salt on your finger tips. I took them back to the cashier mentioned that they were very salty and asked if I could have a new order of fries not so salty. She took the fries, few minutes she replaced them however, the replacement was just as salty as the first order. The nuggets were also very salty which was so frustrating wasted $28.88 on a salty lunch meal. Unfortunately, I had the same problem when I placed an order via DoorDash from the Store on 14th Street. REMEMBER THOSE WHO WANT SALTY FOOD CAN SPRINKLE THEIR OWN SALT. If all you are tasting is Salt on your food you're not really tasting the product "Chicken" or the awesome flavor of the Waffle Potato Fries.

I don't know what's going on but the last two days was bad. The food has been undercooked and the employees are like they don't know what's going on. I understand the location is fairly new but there's a standard to uphold with this business. My soda is flat (the one day I decide to get a large), the fries are soft, soggy and raw (can actually taste the raw potatoes). Yesterday the chicken tenders were raw in the middle and the fries the same (raw). This is not the time to be giving people raw food or food poisoning. Do better please as I say there's a standard to uphold.

Never experienced a rude Chick fil A before, so this was wild. Messed up my order, then yelled at me. They ended up fixing it, but I used to work at chick fil and would have been fired if I had such an attitude problem. Very rude, would not go back! Surprised they are still open. I asked for a large nugget meal and when I got to the register they tried to charge me $40 for a 30 piece, that is not a large meal!! I feel like they were trying to take advantage of me because it's Halloween and a bunch of kids in there were drunk. I hope no one else in there was scammed. Very shady.

As someone who is a very health-conscious diner, chick-fil-a is one of my go-to restaurants if I am looking for fast food! The grilled chicken sandwich is an excellent option for those who are looking for a delicious, low-calorie meal. If you are feeling extra hungry you can get the grilled chicken sandwich along with the grilled chicken nuggets and a medium fruit cup. While I have visited this chick-fil-a on multiple occasions, I have been disappointed quite a few times in the quality of the service I have received. I typically order carryout or curbside pick up from this location and nearly every time I am either missing the sauces I requested when ordering through the mobile app or I am missing an entire sandwich I ordered or an extra chicken fillet I ordered. The staff is incredibly friendly and usually resolves this issue quickly, however, it is quite frustrating to have to return to the restaurant every time something is missing from my order. I now have to check the bag before leaving to ensure that everything I ordered is present. I am hoping these issues are just things that need to be ironed out because this is a new location.

Location: Its two doors down from Nandos on 18th Street - practically on Connecticut Avenue if you're coming up from the White House. COVID-19 Tips: - They've installed plastic shielding between the customers and cashiers at the front. - You're still required to wear masks. - When you place your order, you'll be directed to stand or sit towards the middle range to back of the store and they'll bring your order to you. - Place an online order and picking up is quickest. - They've taken out the mini tables on the right side of the restaurant and its turned into a series of Social Distancing booths for customers as they wait for food. Note: I do wished they'd installed some sort of pick-up window for mobile orders at the front. Maybe that second door could be turned into one? CFA it wouldn't be that hard. I've been waiting for this Chick-Fil-A to open for AGES! Finally one south of Columbia Heights and West of Union Station. Much more convenient. Glad they still moved ahead even with the coronavirus issues. This is a normal 'city-sized' Chick-Fil-A with the entrance kind of hidden by the bank of trees in the park that divides 18th Street and Connecticut Avenue. If you're coming up from the White House on Connecticut Ave, make a left at Rhode Island and the restaurant is on your immediate right on 18th Street next to Nandos. You walk in through the dual entrance, up the ramp and place your order as normal. They have the full menu including breakfast. The customer service associates were pleasant and there were plenty of workers making sure orders came out as a reasonable pace.

If you complain about your order not being correct and ask them to fix it, they'll just punk you and not actually fix it. I had an issue with my previous order, which I inquired about prior to my current order. I guess they didn't like this, so when I ordered 6 CFA biscuits they gave them to me without chicken - legit just the biscuits. I feel bad for the front line workers - the logistics of this new store aren't where they try need to be - customer experience is quite rocky. Chicken is still great.

I've lived around this location for over two years now. Not once in my entire life have I been to a worse Chic-fil-A. Staff is rude and apathetic. Food comes out extremely slow and that is assuming they even get your order right, which is rare for this place. Truthfully, this location is an embarrassment to the brand. Shocking this lack of standards has been allowed to continue.

As a Georgia native, I was excited when I found out that my beloved CFA was opening within walking distance of my apartment. I've been here several times now, and unfortunately this location just falls short of what it should be. First, I've never been in here and waited less than 15-20 mins for my food. Sometimes the food is hot, sometimes it's not, which also baffles me after waiting that long for it. The service is always fine, but again, it's just so very slow. This location is no longer fast food. I'll still come here because I love the chicken, but know if you come you'll be waiting a while for your food.

I love Chick-fil-A so I was pumped when one opened up in Dupont. I've been twice (both during COVID) and both their in store ordering and app were easy to use. The restaurant has def done its due diligence in cleanliness measures with plastic shielding, clear signage about where to wait, and social distancing areas to wait for pick up. The customer service was also on point with polite and courteous employees, something I always find to be true at a Chick-Fil-A. One great thing about the app ordering is you check-in when you enter the front door and they start preparing your food then so it's fresh!

Thank god for this establishment because otherwise I may have had a mental breakdown or five. After a long week, I decided to treat myself to a good meal and stumbled upon this newly opened store! Make sure to wear a mask. I got my usual chicken sandwich, waffle fries, and a side of chicken nuggets. After walking around for an extra hour to burn some extra calories, I then went back home to imbibe on some wine and some blessed food. Thank god for Chick-fil-A!

I come to this Chick-fil-A often. The downside is that the parking lot is always crowded and there always seems to be a line coming out of the lot. But the staff is always friendly and helpful. Even though the lines are long, it goes by pretty fast and u get your food quickly. A good hack is to get a Frosted Lemonade and switch the lemonade for any other soda making it a float! Also, I really like the deluxe sandwich with the many sauces they have to choose from. This place is perfect for a quick meal for a good price!

If I could give this location less than a one star I would. The delivery guy was very nice but when me and my coworkers got our food, the whole order was VERY disappointing. We ordered three fries and only received 2 that were half full. They forgot straws and other condiments that were requested. We called the restaurant back and explained to them that we had ordered 3 fries and only two were given half full. They ended up delivering another 3 fries, TO COME TO FIND OUT THEY WERE STILL HALF FULL. The fact that they came back and WERE still being stingy with the fries was DISAPPOINTING. On top of that the kale salad side was also not worth the money with the little amount that they put In that, close to nothing. I will never go to this location ever again. Not worth the money spent.

This location's food is decent. I've had better Chick-fil-As before, but this one isn't bad. The one thing I was impressed about was the safety precautions. Everyone is required to wear masks, there are plastic shielding, and there are social distancing measures. Their menu has a lot of variety and their chicken sandwich is good.

Went on 2nd day, and was pretty dissapointed. Large fries were only filled half way. Chicken nuggets stuck together and were full of fat. Social distancing was clumsy, at best, (for mobile pick up you scan and wait at seperated tables, but you have to walk up to the front to pick up food, meaning you are walking very close to everyone in front of you standing at each table and the person ordering). Would make much more sense to leave food at entrance.

The worst location ever with terrible management and employees behaving as if they are in the streets. On 2/27/21.. I did a mobile order,went to pick it up and over heard a employee telling a guess I'm not a robot so I responding by saying your on the clock so I assumed your working, for my comment I was ask to leave the restaurant before the manager call the police, so I did not receive my food, poor management, just overall a terrible fast food restaurant and you need to retrain your staff from top to bottom!!!!!WORST EVER

Great, friendly staff and the way they've managed to open during the pandemic while still maintaining distancing and cleanliness is wonderful.
