The best fried chicken I’ve ever had. The price is high, but not bad for Manhattan, and it’s more than worth it for the quality! The smoothies are also amazing. The lady serving us was so sweet and even gave us free Korean honey cookies! Amazing place and service.

Google
I came with my friends and we ended up sharing a huge box of chicken. The price was fairly reasonable for the food considering how amazing everything way. Everything was hot and made fresh. The chicken was coated in sauces that sweet soy with spice. The cheese on the hot mayo ones. Along with a side of rice everything just worked perfectly with one another. We came got our food pretty quickly. There’s wifi and the vibes of the places is pretty amazing.

Stopped in on a whim - and happy I did! This place has a cute little charm about it. Their offering is simple and delicious. I would recommend the rice and sausage stick and the “milkis” drink. The service was great and down with detail. You can this pace has extra charm because the menus are all hand drawn. Would come back!

Google
What a find. Incredible chicken and sauces. Crispy, juicy and full of flavor. Unbelievable service, and AMAZING 100% JUICE (Pear, Green Grape, Golden Apple, etc…). Passion Fruit Smoothies were ridiculous. Chicken is delicious and juices, too.

This place is a great fried chicken joint! 🍗 Chick of Us serves a nice selection of delicious 🤤 fried chicken 🐔 with different coatings and sauces alongside variety of specialty drinks 🧃 - definitely try the Small Cup of Crunchicken, Blanc Blanc Sauce, and Milkis Yogurt Soda! The staff 👨‍🍳 is friendly and welcoming and the ambience 🎶 is nice! They have limited indoor seating 🪑 so consider taking your order to-go. 🥡 I wish their service was faster! ⏲️

Google
Overall rating: 4.8 Really convenient, korean spot in LES. I found this place on TikTok and wanted to give this dish a try because I wasn’t familiar with it. I thought it would fill for a lunch, but it was actually more of a snack. The service was fine, but this is definitely a to-go spot. I went another time and had the chicken which I really liked more. Definitely recommend sharing the chicken in a cup with a friend. It’s very filling! I’m not sure if I will be back solely because I don’t think this is the spot for me. If you love Korean chicken or rice cakes, definitely worth giving it a try.

Google
Love this place! It just opened a couple days ago in the neighborhood. It’s owned by the cutest and sweetest couple. The chicken came with tteokbokki (fried rice cakes) and salad! I got the Garlicholic and Original, both of which were delicious and would get both again. I think one main order is enough for 2-3 people to split or 1 if you’re really hungry :) Will definitely be back! Perfect fast casual vibe! Edit: came back and got a cup of chicken (10 pieces) they added a few things to the menu!

Fanny Zheng

Google
The spicy chicken tasted pretty good but I was really impressed with the snowy cheese chicken. The cheese powder was fluffy and sweet and doesn’t have a heavy cheesy scent. The only complaint was that the order took longer than I thought. It seems that the cashier and chef are both one person! I hope the owner can hire more staff!

Yelp
This is the perfect place to get a shareable snack! We got the medium spicy chicken for $15 and it came in a tall cup with little rice cakes in it. I didn't realize this was the hottest flavor they have - beware the actual pepper flakes. There's 4 tables, and there's a lot of signage for rules to follow. They have only two things - popcorn chicken and skewers with rice cake and sausage, easy peasy! And a bunch of drinks to choose from. :)

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Small hole in the wall shop for Korean fried chicken in a cup and the rice cake sausage skewer! I only stopped by and tried the rice cake skewer but I like it a lot! The rice cake had a crispy chewy addicting texture and the sausage was a good salty balance! Next time I'll get the cup chicken! The skewers were about $7-8 for one though! I saw they also had the potato tornado and seaweed on a stick. They do have limited seating inside.

Yelp
Small chicken shop that my partner and I stumbled into and thoroughly enjoyed! I loved the look of this place, it's simple, but with some cute, personal touches, like the googly eyes on the garbage and the hand drawn menu on the wall. The lady who took our order was so nice and made sure we understood what we were ordering and the portion sizes. I got a small cup of the original style chicken. Honestly, it was the perfect portion for me and left me pleasantly full. It came with a couple of rice cakes and was very much coated in their sweet soy sauce. The chicken itself was crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of flavor. I gotta say, it was a little spicier than I expected, but I powered through. My partner got a large of the Garlic Holic and loved it. It might've been a liiitle too much for one person (large is good for like 2-3 people) but we met up with friends after stopping here and they were more than happy to have some chicken. Because it's small, is definitely more of a to-go place, but they do have some seating if it's just yourself or you're with someone else. If you love chicken, definitely check this place out

Yelp
The owner has a really good memory and seems to remember people who've been to Chick of Us before. She always has the warmest smile for her customers. It's nice that she remembers me whenever I would come back/from previous times and that I live in Queens lol. So happy to see that the place is getting so much business and lots of customers. I see that people would come in and out when I'm sitting down to eat. Who would blame them? So scrumptious!!! When you go in, the owner would greet you with a warm smile and explain what's on the food and/drink menu. You place an order in the front and it would usually take 10 mins for the food to be ready. Payment can be in credit/debit card or cash. Once it's ready, the owner would bring it over to make sure that the food is the right order before closing the box if it's takeout. I think that's very thoughtful of her. The hottest Kpop songs like New Jeans or Aespa are always playing from the speaker while you're waiting. There're 2 wooden chairs at each of the 4 tables, so be prepared to find a place to eat since it's a grab-to-go spot unless you're good at eating while walking at the same time. Besides different flavors of Korean fried chicken, there're also side dishes like fried cheese balls, sliced potatoes on a stick and sausage-and-rice cake skewers plus smoothies and fresh squeezed juices. Love how the food and drink menu is colorful and all hand-drawn by the owner with cute animated pictures. Everything is clearly written & labeled with very neat handwriting. There's a 3-tier fridge with colorful drinks displayed under the LED lighting from American sodas, sparkling water in glass bottles, Korean banana milk to Mexican sodas called Jarrito. So far, the food item that I've ordered the most is probably the original flavored chicken with sweet, mild spicy sauce & mini glutinous rice balls. The chicken is so tender and flavorful that I sometimes wanna inhale it all at once. Still so crispy even up to the last piece of chicken!!!! I tend to always come back for (Korean) Fried Chicken whenever I'm around this neighborhood. Sometimes, I wish that I would live right across the street from this place. [P.S. There're several wall outlets to charge your phone & it's conveniently located right by the F train.] Well...until next time we meet again, foodie pals!

Yelp
A straight forward fried chicken place in east village, you really can't go wrong with whatever you order here! We were hesitating on the garlic chicken at first since it is supposedly 3 chili peppers in spiciness but it was totally manageable in my opinion. I loved the few rice cakes it came with as well. FYI place has 3 tables in total so be prepared to grab it togo and eat at a nearby park if it ever gets busy.

Laura H.

Yelp
Solid place to grab a quick bite: the medium chicken was (~$15) and the so-tteok (~$8). The rice cakes were crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, and the sausages were smoky and juicy. The spicy sauce on the outside tasted like Lays BBQ chips with a bit of a kick. There were a few tables for seating, but no bigger than for a group of four or five. Drinks were also unreasonably expensive.

Sarah P.

Yelp
Really yummy fried chicken! I tried and loved the garlic and original. Both had a little bit of spice to them, which was great! The original felt more of a thicker sauce where as the garlic felt more like a glaze. I accidentally ordered a ton of food, so definitely keep in mind how much you're ordering! I also tried a potato mozz ball. Absolutely loved the texture on this and was super enjoyable to eat. The staff were very friendly and fast. It's definitely a casual, no frills atmosphere but it's exactly what it needs to be and nothing more. No complaints! 5/5

Yelp
Newish Korean chicken place down in LES. Interior is charming with the hand drawn menu items decorating the wall. There's a few small tables so you can either eat inside or take your food to go. I appreciate that the menu is pretty small so you don't get overwhelmed with choice. It was still hard to pick which flavors I wanted but I eventually settled on the garlic chicken cup (11 pieces of chicken + 4 fried rice cakes). It was freshly made to order (~10min) and just a little spicy. I could only finish about half. On the online ordering page, I saw you can add on extra fried rice cakes ("bubbles") for a few bucks. I'll probably do that next time. I think the packaging is a lot of fun: literally chicken in a cup + a skewer as your utensil. Very easy to eat, and even easier to transport leftovers home. The cup fit perfectly inside my winter coat pocket lol.

Mandy T.

Yelp
I tried the blanc blanc cup chicken this time and I liked it more than the garlic holic! The blanc blanc is a cheesy ranch powder and it comes with a garlic aioli like dipping sauce on the side. The owner was super sweet and gave me a potato tornado because the table next to me was really loud and rowdy and she felt bad.

Veronica H.

Yelp
If you're feeling nostalgic for the amazing chicken in a cup you get outside a baseball game in Seoul (iykyk), this is your place!! Nomz: The chicken bites are amazingly flavorful, a good balance of crunchy and soft and a noticeably good quality of chicken. FYI: It takes about 10/15 min to get once ordered, it's made fresh which is unheard of nowadays - nice treat. Flavors I've tried: Original Chicken - more sweet than spicy with a nice sauce. Garlic Holic - I love spice so my fav so far - nice spice without it being overpowering, less sauce than original but not in a bad way. The rice bubble that comes with them are very yummy, wish there was a side option so I could get a full portion! Service: It feels like a mom & pop shop, in the best way, phenomenally friendly and kind service. Ambiance: Great lighting, minimalistic decor with cute touches of fun, hand drawn menus, googly eyes on the trash bin, etc. Nope or Dope: DOPE for sure, can't get enough of this chicken spot, I will be coming back for more and more!

Yelp
THE BEST OF THE BEST FOOD, BEVERAGE & HOSPITALITY! I love the ambiance, the vibe and the people there. They are so friendly and outgoing. They make the food so tasty. Chicken is not so crunchy but not so soggy but just enough so you can take a bite of juicy deep fried chicken. Amazing!

YingLinn C.

Yelp
Wow! This restaurant is a huge breath of fresh air. Very easy to miss if you're just passing, but definitely a must try. The chicken bites were delicious, crunchy and saucy. The potato bites were on the chewier side, but definitely a good thing to try. Lastly, the sausages were small, juicy and bouncy. A weird way to describe them, but the texture was perfect. If you are a spice lover, their garlic chicken wings were delicious and spicy!! Had a nice kick to it, and if you mix it with the blanc blanc sauce, it helped mellow out the spice. Next time I come, I definitely will order one of each sauce just to do it buffet style. Something I ordered was the passion fruit smoothie and the fresh green grape juice. At first the grape juice it tasted a little off (because it had grape skin, but zero sugar and a very healthy drink), but definitely let it melt and it is now one of my favorite drinks!! Lastly to top everything off, the customer service was impeccable. She (the owner) was patient, kind and truly caring about customer satisfaction and her attitude alone is enough for me to come back. These are the small businesses you should visit!! I will definitely come back if I want some chicken bites! **another plus, the chicken was packaged in cups and I think that it is such a genius idea!! You can eat some of it, and get a lid to bring the rest home!!

Yelp
Great Korean style fried chicken place that opens late on the weekend and until 9 pm on the weekdays. There's a few indoor seating spots but the inside is a little small. We got two of the normal sized chicken plates ($50) to share between 4 people and it was around the right amount. The chicken pieces are perfectly crispy and saucy, but still tender on the inside. We got the original chicken and the garlic one. We were warned one of them was spicy, but they both were not. The chicken also has these mochi-like rice balls, which were a nice touch. Each plate also comes with rice (or salad).

Amanda V.

Yelp
Got the garlic holic, which was perfection Didn't expect the rice bubbles, since I didn't read the whole sign. It's a nice small surprise that comes with the chicken order.

Laureen Y.

Yelp
The cute inflatable chicken hand movement to go inside. We ordered the pornado with smoky bacon cheese flavor and rice bubble & sausage skewer. There was a couple seating inside. The lady was super sweet. I thought the potatoes would be crispy on the outside and soft inside like french fries but it was basically like chips on a stick. The sausage skewers were great though.

Craig P.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely delicious that we had to go 2 days in a row, they definitely have the best korean fried chicken ever. The lady who works there is so sweet and she gives great customer service, she even let us try one of their other chicken flavors for no extra charge. Such a cute little shop for great food. Please come check it out when you get the chance.

Yelp
This was the taste of my childhood. Y'all. Don't go waste your bucks in K-town. Come here instead. The original chicken was basically like what I used to have as a child when I was still living in Korea. The sauce is so good!!!!! It's just the right amount of spice and sweetness. And the chicken pieces (bigger than your usual popcorn chicken) were so crispy, and even when it cooled, the texture was intact. The sausage + rice cake skewer (소떡소떡) was also pretty great too. The sausage is obviously not the same ones used in Korea, so it wasn't exactly like what I personally like, but it was as close as it can probably get. The lady who worked there was super polite as well and brought out the food for me. The interior looks slightly disorganised, but I didn't mind it that much. It was basically empty Thursday lunch hours. The price I would say isn't considered cheap for this type of quick grab-and-go food. But the taste is up there, and the portions are pretty generous, so I absolutely wouldn't mind dropping my $$$ here. Anyway. This is definitely gonna be my go-to spot for some KFC.

Yelp
Rice cake and sausage 100/10 Seaweed glass noodle and rice cake 100/10 Pizza Mozzarella bombs 7/10

Jocelyn K.

Yelp
A cute hole in the wall, mom and pop shop for authentic Korean food! The rice cake and sausage skewer was a little over $7 after tax and the texture of both ingredients were great. The sauce also added great flavor that melded everything together. I can also tell the dish was made fresh to order. My group didn't order the fried chicken because we were on our way to dinner, but those would definitely be my next try when I'm in the area again!

Yelp
In the mood for some tasty Korean food, but not looking for a full-course meal? Chick of Us is the place to go! Chick of Us is a new Korean restaurant located in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, serving Korean cup chicken, pornado (potato + tornado), rice bubble & sausage, mozzarella bombs, and fresh juices and smoothies! After a long day of classes, my sister surprised me with some of their mozzarella bombs and they were really cheesy and savory, a tad sweet, but so so delicious! She got the rice bubble & sausage for herself and loved the sweet and spicy flavors. Can't wait to come back and try their cup chicken and fresh juices!

Crystal H.

Yelp
Already gone to this spot twice this week because of how good it is. My favorites are the skewers. I love the seaweed roll and rice bubble it has a little bit of a spicy flavor and the seaweed roll is so crunchy, has so much filling. The ride bubble is exactly as it sounds, it was chewy but crunchy at the same time, it was so good. The cup chicken was not my favorite because I was not a fan of the sauce but the chicken itself was cooked really well and it has ride bubbles in it as well! The plain pornado was super crispy and easy to eat, it was addicting. After I ordered, it only took a few minutes for the food to come out.

Jacquelyn C.

Yelp
Don't be fooled, the mix is a pretty big portion. The box is deceivingly small. But the chicken is really good (spicier than you think) and the rice bubble that's in it adds a nice texture. The seaweed roll with rice cake is sooo yummy and goes well with the sauce. There is indoor seating, but space is limited

Joanna L.

Yelp
what we ordered: mozzarella bomb original & garlicholic really great spot to grab a snack or two ! i've definitely got to go back to try their sotteok !! their chicken was seasoned really well and flavors were great. loved the cheese balls as well. it was super crispy and fresh out the oven. staff were super friendly too

Heather E.

Yelp
My fiancée and I had a weekend of spontaneity in the city. My fiancée had this place saved to go to for awhile. The fresh juices were amazing. I got the green grape and my fiancée got the pear. The food was interesting. We got the sausage and rice cake and the original chicken cup. We weren't huge fans of the sauce on these, so it kind of swayed our opinion. We are happy we tried it and will definitely come back for the juices!

Serena Z.

Yelp
this is a great Korean little shop for a quick bite! they sell fried chicken, pornado (potato + tornado), rice cake skewers and other goodies :) the pornado with onion cheese seasoning and seaweed roll and rice cake skewer are soo good. prices aren't tooo pricey.

Tunaidi A.

Yelp
Korean fried chicken is everywhere now, but there are still slight differences in flavors. Chick of Us's chicken is good, albeit pricier than other competitors. The garlic holic is pretty good. However, their ancillary offerings are more enticing. The pornado and skewers are actually better than the chicken, and I definitely appreciate their fresh fruit juices as well.

Daniel S.

Yelp
America in 2022 is wild. You can literally trademark any word and sue anyone you want who uses it. You guys hear about the couple in the Bay Area who trademarked 'mochi muffin'? They were actually allowed to and started coming after small businesses. Wild! Well, Chick Of Us - formally Chick-In, had the same issue with a similar named restaurant in Harlem. The new small mom and pop shop had to change all of their branding, and they just opened! So sad. Chick Of Us is the newest - and only - Korean fried chicken in the lower east side. Bless the lord! Their menu is small and contains 4 flavors: 1) blanc blanc - white cheddar cheese 2) original - sweet soy sauce 3) garlic holic - sweat soy sauce with garlic 4) crunchicken - classic and crispy (no sauce) They have a 20 piece , 20 piece mix, or a 10 piece (cup chicken) They also have some Korean snacccs like the pornado (they may need to rebrand this lollll) - a potato twister, mozzarella bomb, and rice bubble and sausage. They also have fresh juices and smoothies I wish they had a 10 piece mix but I opted for the 20 piece mix (which cost a little extra) to try more flavors. I opted for the original chicken and garlic with a side of the Blanc Blanc sauce. The food came out quickly and the nice lady also gave me a Korean grape drink. The KFC here are like chicken nuggets. They were really tender and crispy. My favorite was the garlic which had a nice small kick to it. The chicken also comes with the chicken rice bubble which are fried rice cakes (I think) and salad. The white cheddar sauce was just meh IMO. If you like creamy white sauce tho, give it a try. Chick of Us is a great spot to come get your KFC fix. There are a a few seats inside with AC to escape the hot summer heat. The owners were so friendly and I can't wait to come back to try their other snack items! Welcome to the hood!

Tsvika K.

Yelp
Great addition to the fine chicken lunch wave! Generous , tasty not too oily though I will make the spicy more spicier than it is now (even though it's spicy enough for the average American) Great FRESH grape juice ! Very friendly service.

Hana G.

Yelp
A great spot for a quick bite to eat. The food here was so good! I got two types of skewers and it was delicious. The service was great too, very fast, attentive, and just overall nice. I actually forgot a phone charger and the woman working let me borrow one. The environment is cute overall with a few tables.

Sarah L.

Yelp
Loved this Korean food stop! Delicious chicken cups and sasuage skewers. Great flavor options!

Monelle V.

Yelp
the CUTEST lil spot for korean chicken in a cup!! very clean and bright inside. i had the garlic holic in a medium cup and it comes mixed with some rice cakes and it was YUMMMMMYYY. it had the right about of spiciness. i have to also rave about their passion fruit smoothie. service was quick and friendly. COMING BACK!!

Chris B.

Yelp
New spot in LES serving up Korean fried chicken. Seems like there are still some growing pains here and the restaurant isn't quite firing on all cylinders yet. It took 15 minutes for our food to be ready but it is setup like a quick pickup type spot. The chicken was pretty good, but imo lacked the crunch that I look for. Sauces on the chicken were all very tasty. The woman who served us was very friendly and welcoming.

Blossom C.

Yelp
Love the fried chicken here! Perfect spot for a lil snack. The lady at the front is super sweet, support small businesses!!

Kristin F.

Yelp
Went here with my sister. Saw it on IG and TikTok and had to try it. We have the rice cake/sausage and rice cake/ seaweed wrap skewers. They were the right amount of chew and spice. Both were pretty tasty as well. I would def recommend this place. Staff was also super nice. It's a very chill spot and will definitely come back!

Sandy Y.

Yelp
DELICIOUS. The flavor is great and very close to actual korean fried chicken. Fast and great service. Shoutout to owner, you're so sweet!

Janet L.

Yelp
Enjoyed the ambience, staff was nice. Pornado was a bit salty for my liking but love the skewers they were chewy and the seaweed had noodles in the middle. The only downside is that it was quite pricey.

Geoffrey m.

Yelp
A lucky, random find after an early live show. Great friendly service. Got the original chicken with a side of rice. It was a bit more spicy than I'm use to but it was so good. The rie help take some of the edge off. Definitely recommend if you're n the neighborhood or craving some real KFC.

Barcamatic M.

Yelp
Amazing chicken! And even better sausage and rice cakes skewers!! OMG A must try in LES. Fast and kind service. Is a small place but cozy with great music

Mark B.

Yelp
Banger shop I went to right around the corner of my Hotel in LES NYC. One of my favorite cuisines. Presentation was awesome too! Staff was so friendly and took extra time chatting with me being new to the are!

Alex S.

Yelp
Had the Rice Bubble & Sausage. Sweet and spicy sauce was flavorful. Great $5 snack!!!

Eunice L.

Yelp
Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Definitely would come back here! Loved everything about this place! Everyone should come and try the food!

Selina D.

Yelp
Right off the subway stopped for a snack, left with a new fav. Quick service with freshly cooked chicken ina spicy tangy sauce. Was so good! The young lady taking our order was so sweet and nice, read back your order to make sure current and explained menu items.

Capucine D.

Yelp
The best chicken of New York by far. Once you try it, you adopt it. The lady is really nice, helpful and generous. I liked the place, near the bus stop on my way home. It has some cachet with the hand-made menu or the wooden table. The menu is very complete, you will definitely find something you like. My favorite all time was the Hot Mayo. It is a hidden gem in crowded NY !

Star F.

Yelp
One of the best new places in the neighborhood! The chicken is so crunchy and the flavors are perfect! I also recommend the mozzarella bombs, they have the perfect texture and are wonderfully cheesy. The interior and exterior are adorable and the owner here is so sweet :)

Kaylyn W.

Yelp
We unfortunately experienced our last visit to Chick of Us tonight. Chick of Us used to be a spot we'd frequent weekly but tonight the owner accused of a placing an order, picking it up, then cancelling it for a refund. We were very shocked by the owner's tone and accusations because she knows us well, and previously always greeted us with warmth and sincerity. And who would try to scam a restaurant they visit often?? Needless to say, we showed the owner our online purchase of the cancelled order and what do you know, it said the RESTAURANT cancelled the order. We even offered to still pay but her reaction left a bad taste in our mouths. Very poor customer service, we won't be back. The owner lost loyal customers tonight.

Earl Q.

Yelp
A little bit on the pricey but very good .. friendly staff.. I would come back again

Steven S.

Yelp
A solid fast-casual spot with chicken that is made-to-order. They aren't kidding when they say the garlic holic sauce is spicy!

Emily K.

Yelp
Went in for a quick eat, got the sausage and rice bubble stick, it was great, really unique flavor, sweet but spicy. The service was great, the waitress behind the register was so kind it was a good experience, I recommend!
