Chicken Dijon - Mediterranean Catering & Delivery

Very disappointed. Paid $27 for 2 gyros and they may as well call it a salad wrap. Both had the skimpiest amount of gyro meat I’ve ever seen. Nothing was fresh, meat was cold, pita was old, literally fell apart before I could eat it. Pre wrapped and stuffed with romaine. For that price it should be fresh made to order. To have old pita falling to pieces and cold two pieces of gyro meat is highway robbery. Given a few chances to this place as I love Mediterranean food but I’m never going back. Save your money. Update* Thank you for explaining to me how to eat a gyro...I was really struggling before that advice. Time to calibrate your scale. Serving size is skimpy at best. Stuffed with romaine lettuce as filler, pre wrapped for hours, and soggy. Funny that your reply to the pita being not fresh and soggy and falling to pieces is...I'm eating it wrong.

I believe this to be some of the finest food I’ve ever had. We live in San Diego but whenever we are within 50-100 miles we make the trip. The fries are garlicky and cheesy. The vegetable plate with chicken and rice is our favorite. We cannot get enough of the garlicky sauce. Our pores smell like garlic. The ownership is kind and always up for a good conversation. We cannot recommend this place enough. But I’m also mad they haven’t moved to San Diego yet.

Food was really good and came out very fast. Got the lunch special. Comes with rotisserie chicken, salad with tasty crispy tortilla strips on top and rice and 2 pieces of pita. The side of garlic dressing was perfect with the chicken and salad. And for the price it's a great healthy alternative to any other fast food chain. Will definitely come back again and get more chicken and try other things on the menu.

I enjoyed the meat gyro and their avocado wontons, both were very delicious 😋...not to mention the guava lemonade is Everything 🙌🏽!!! Not sure if the person who provided excellent quality customer service to me, is the owner or manager, but he made me feel comfortable and overall was super awesome to me and to all the customers that arrived thereafter. I'm definitely coming back!

I have eaten here for over 10 years, so I know the menu well. I usually alternate between the quarter chicken breast and the chicken skewers, though sometimes I’ll get the chicken and rice or a salad. I have never had a bad meal; it’s always consistent. I think I may be addicted to the garlic sauce, which goes with anything. I usually get the food to go because I prefer popping the pita bread in the toaster oven for a couple minutes before eating it. It makes all the difference in taste. When my parents and sister come to visit, they always request this place! It’s definitely a neighborhood favorite in Redondo.

Picked up a little before closing and while everything was ready quickly, the rotisserie chicken was a little too cooked so the skin was dry and a little tough. The garlic sauce was good but not as good as other ones I've had. The salad was delicious though and so were the lemon potatoes- really tangy although too tangy for some of the others that ate with us. The dolmades were excellent.

Went there last night after not going for over a year. Food tasted fine, but there are better places nearby. What really got me was how little I got for the $16.50 Chicken Skewer plate. Four lonely pieces of chicken, each about the size of McD chicken nugget. The picture below (hopefully it is attached) is exactly what I saw when I opened the box at home. Had I bothered to move the lettuce away, you'd see that I paid for mostly rice. Very disappointing! Not going back.

I LOVE this restaurant! The food is always delicious and prepared to order. I am always greeted with such kindness and the staff is so helpful. There is ample seating if you want to dine in, but take out and delivery are also great options!

I've been coming here for years!! Their chicken is juicy, the falafel crispy, and the hummus creamy. The service is efficient, and friendly. Perfect for a lunch break or a casual dinner. Everything on the menu is delish!!

Consistency is key , from the food to the service & that's what is given every time I come here never leave disappointed. Definitely recommend this place come if you haven't yourself. I don't work to far from here & I come here for lunch quite often Chicken & rice plate Chicken & Beef skewers are my usual go to plates but there are many option's that won't disappoint ya !

Mouthwatering, masterfully made Mediterranean meals! Chicken Dijon is a small local chain with restaurants in El Segundo and Torrance. This location is situated along Artesia Boulevard in Redondo. Same plaza as Bluesalt, Menchie's, and Al Hamra. Parking is adequate, seating is ample. You can also have falafel, salad, soups, pita-wrapped sandwiches, and a variety of sides. Order one of the rotisserie meals if you're with family or a large group. Call in advance if you're planning to do catering. For dessert they have baklava. The dish I order the most is their Chicken & Rice Plate! Moist, slow roasted poultry on a bed of well-prepared pilaf with just the right amount of tasty garlic sauce drizzled on top, paired with a fresh salad to balance it all out. Mediterranean fries are another favorite of mine, which is served with a generous amount of parmesan and feta. Their gyro is decent, each piece is tender with slightly crisp edges. I do slightly prefer the ones at Al Hambra next door; they slice the meat a little thicker and the seasoning is more robust. Not much to write about the pita; it's fine most days, occasionally dry and brittle on other visits. Great portion sizes for the price!

I love Chicken Dijon in torrance and elsegundo, but this chicken from the redondo location is terrible. I drove from Gardena near the freeway to order this. Portion seemed a little less which is ok, but the chicken was really salty and dry. Its borderline not edible even with the green salad. I've ordered so many times over the years at the other locations, I think this place needs a checkup. 1 star because i liked the cracker/frito pieces in the green salad. The other locations don't do that.

I am here almost every month! My go to order is their Mediterranean Fries and their Chicken Lunch Platter. The fries were seasoned with feta cheese, garlic, fresh parsley and parmesan cheese. It tasted amazingly savory. For the chicken, I use Spicy Lemon for the flavor. I LOVE it here so much and I always think about the food even after I finish them. The workers make you feel like home and the manager knew where we always sat which I found funny. It is a self-seating area and there are plenty of seats to choose from. I recommend coming here if you want to try Mediterranean food for the first time. Every time I order here, it always feels like it's my first time trying it. OH AND.. their garlic sauce will be forever in my heart.

My husband introduced me to CD almost 20 years ago. They have maintained their quality both in their food as well as their service. We now have two kids, and we all frequent CD and have a wonderful experience each time.

I cannot say anything negative about this place. The chicken kabob is always juicy and flavorful. I am kind of drooling right now, thinking about it. Their spicy garlic sauce is a must and well as extra garlic sauce. The service is fast and friendly , you can dine in, take out or get it delivered. Oh, I would like a beer/wine option while dining inside but totally not a dealbreaker!

One of my all time favorite restaurants! The staff here is so friendly and the menu is perfect. I get the house salad with Mediterranean fries and it is so filling and one my favorite meals in the world.

Chicken Dijon in Redondo is a great local Mediterranean restaurant. The service is great and all the staff are very friendly. The restaurant is clean and also in a convenient location. Food us very tasty and comes out fast, I've never had an issue with my order. Options are plentiful, and the portions are great. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try if you haven't already!

Made a mistake on my postmates order. Oops! Called and Kira answered and went beyond means so take care of my issue and make sure that everything was resolved. Great customer service!! Need more people like this in the hospitality industry. My meal is already great even before eating it. Thank you

I love this place. Chicken skewers, Mediterranean potato salad, hummus and the spicy lemon garlic sauce are some of my favorite lunch items.

Absolutely delicious!!!! I had a feeling i would enjoy this chicken when I drove by. Unfortunately I ate too quickly and forgot to take a picture of my meal. The chicken was deliciously seasoned with crispy skin but moist chicken. The rice and salad were great sides also. Service was super fast and it's comfortable to eat inside. Thank you so much!

Wanted to update my experience there. 5 stars for service and food! I was able to speak to the owner Joey and discuss my prior review and we discussed solutions to the issues. You can tell he really takes pride in his food and is open to criticism and fixing the problems. On top of that, the server we had was so nice and helpful. She found out it was my birthday when she came to the table and I was opening a card and brought me a baklava. Now about the food....I have always loved their gyro sandwich but I am trying to avoid the bread. I also have always loved their greek salad. I ordered the greek salad with the gyro in it (didn't realize that was an option) and it is my new favorite thing there. As a matter of fact, it's my new favorite salad anywhere. The best part is they now have lunch portions which are perfect (I still didn't finish because it was so large). They still give you pita and tzatziki and you could actually make your own gyro sandwich. I tried to be good and not eat any, but I couldn't resist so I did have a few bites and used one to sop up the leftover sauce from the Avocado wontons which were also excellent. Overall, this place rocks customer service and the food is excellent and healthy choices can be made there. A great go to restaurant!

Been coming here for at least 20 years, house salad every time and its always the same, delicious! The manager knows my order by heart after all these years and have always had a pleasurable experience. Love the garlic sauce as well...always a highlight of the meal. If you haven't been make it a point to check them out, great place to eat!

This place is amazing. The food is delicious and it can never get old. The service is outstanding and the severs are super nice. The place is clean and not disgusting like other places.

The staff were very friendly and the place looked clean and had a homey feel. There's a handwritten sign on the wall that says original family recipes. I really like that. Well I got the Chicken Kebabs plate and it was really impressive. Chicken is moist, hummus is wonderful, rice perfect. salad fresh. I got to give it five stars.

Ordered thru Postmates. I ordered Iced Tea, bottled water and a Greek salad with chicken. The Iced tea and water were not delivered. The salad was smothered in too much dressing. There was no option to have it on the side. The chicken was dry and tasteless. Overall very disappointing. Another restaurant that used to be fairly good has now developed into a poor excuse with an even poorer attitude towards the customer.

Get delivery every week. The reason I am writing this review is that last week we got the wrong order. When I called they said they would send another order but I said no. They said they would credit my account so the next time we would call they would give us the order as a replacement. When I called a few minutes ago, I was told there was nothing referenced for us. I explained the issue, she put me on hold. When she came back she told us she could give us a $5 credit. No point in arguing, not worth the effort. My mistake was taking their word for it and not getting the persons name I spoke to. Just a heads up if this happens to you. I know it's not everyone there that would do this but unfortunately it shines a light on all of them. Pretty disappointing to be a steady customer being treated this way. Food is always good.

First and foremost customer was on point! Soo good! Offered great suggestions and answered my question about portion sizes and the different sauces. My co-worker told how good their garlic sauce was so I decided to try it.(Basically came for the sauce! love garlic). I ordered the gyro sandwich and Mediterranean fries. My sandwich was delicious, tender and juicy! The fries was very good too. Came loaded with feta and parsley it was seasoned very well. I washed it all down with their house strawberry mint lemonade. I definitely will be back. I dined in..they noticed how much I loved the garlic sauce and sent me home with an extra!

I come here maybe once a year when I am on my way to my eye doctor and never disappoints! I used to frequent this establishment weekly when I lived a few blocks away, but that was way back in 2002. It is truly nice to see this restaurant has been able to weather through a pandemic, recession, etc. and remain a constant and stable place to go to. Garlic sauce is still the bomb!!! This particular visit we ate at the restaurant and the owner or manager was very attentive to all customers and staff. He was training a new staff member, and helped load a car with food catered for what looked like it was going to be a big party. Afterwards the manager/owner went around to customers in the restaurant to see if they needed anything. I, of course, asked for extra garlic sauce, which he went and grabbed. Very gracious and lovely human being. Thank you! I plan to come more often and bring family and friends to enjoy the food and people.

Great food... we have eaten here for years. Service is awesome and they save your orders by cell phone. Small little place with 10-12 tables inside . Great for small parties

I have ordered from or been to CD several times, and I've been okay with it, and even enjoy some of their dishes. Although I think Chicken Mason is better, they are super convenient to my location. The bad news is that the last time I ordered from there, it made me ill. I am fairly certain of this because of the onset time and symptoms. Being a former health inspector, I know a thing or two about food illness. Since all of my other food during the onset period was home-made, I'm super careful at home, and no one else at home got ill, it has to be from Chicken Dijon. :-( So....I would be very reluctant to go back, which is really a shame, and no matter how good it tastes...one star only.

Wanting to try Chicken Dijon since I moved to the area, I finally got there. I ordered take out via my Yelp app. Somebody needs to fix the software as it gave me an ETA of an hour (I showed up at 30 minutes and my grub was already sitting on the "take out" table, eye roll). I ordered: CD House Salad, a Caesar salad with rotisserie chicken and rice mixed in, delicious! Mezze Sampler Platter: dolmas, tabbouleh, falafel, tahini, hummus and DRY pita. Tasty, but the pita was DRY, did I mention the DRY pita? Avocado wantons were delicious, but would probably skip them next time. I liked Chicken Dijon, will try again soon. 4 stars, fix the takeout clock to real time, that would provide the best customer experience = .5 stars. Moist pita = .5 stars Overall, quite good! 4 stars

The food was reliably yummy - once we received it. We ordered at 6:41PM tonight, for dine-in. There was one other occupied table. My mom went up to inquire at 6:51 - they "were working" on it. I went up at 7:01PM - a full TWENTY minutes after we ordered - and they hadn't even started on it. The cashier actually started making our order. It seems they were inundated with takeout/delivery orders, and apparently prioritized those over dine-in orders. Um, CD, WTH? We completely do not understand this kind of service. Perhaps some owner oversight on busy nights may be a good idea?

Hands down the best best best rotisserie chiken the South Bay has to offer! Food is always fresh. Place is super clean!! Staff is awesome!! Kierra took my order. I got the "inLaws are coming" while visiting my grandma. If my 95 year old grandma is asking for Chicken Dijon then grandma gets Chicken D!!! You get 6 sides, plenty of pita bread and 2 whole chickens!!! SUPER DELICIOUS!!! the lemon garlic sauce is super yummy!!! Hummus was super fresh. Baba Gus posh is my fav! Rice was yummy and fluffy I've been to their other locations and even had catering done in the past but this location is special. Maybe because it's close to my grandma and she loves it. Thank you Chicken Dijon!!! You never disappoint!! Will be back for sure YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!!! My grandma also says thank you!! It's hard for my grandma to like outside food. But we love chicken D!!!

Delicious. Everything my wife and I tried was amazing. Pita bread and salad were fresh. Chicken was tender. Rice fluffy. Workers smiling and friendly. Food was ready quickly. Definitely recommend.

My gyro flavor is fine and it came out quick but this is unacceptable. For $11+ you'd expect this place to at least give a damn about service. If I wanted a "deconstructed gyro", well, then, I would've asked for a salad. *sigh* guys this is the second time this has happened and I've only been here twice. I can't even pick it up. Looks like the chef threw it on the ground and stepped on it before he served it.

I love this place! The house salad is da bomb!!!! And always consistent - for years!!! I prefer the Mediterranean fries over the nachos because it's more of a fried pita with hummus. Oh, and try their new habanero sauce. Not really spicy although he said it was lol. #ImSpicy

Food is great! This place never disappoints. Today I got the chicken soup along with the Mediterranean Nachos which is pita chips with hummus and really good sauce and cheese on it. The soup is filling and delicious. Great for lunch or dinner.

This place has gone downhill. The chicken was all grey in my salad. So gross the quality has gone downhill

The salads here are massive. I got the CD House salad with dressing on the side. Some Mediterranean salads with rice do not need a lot of dressing. However, the CD House salad definitely needs a little bit of dressing on the side. The ingredients taste fresh and healthy and the salad was delicious. Unless you are super hungry, I suggest sharing any of the salads and/or asking for a takeaway container!

I've ordered many a meal from Chicken Dijon and I have enjoyed ever one. The portions are plentiful and taste great as well. I especially love their salads (house and Greek) and their hummus. Their staff is friendly and have your order ready on time. I love this place!

So tonight I ordered two Greek Salads one with chicken and one without and a side of avocado wontons 5/20/20. I started eating my salad I felt something hard when I bit down to chew, so I grab a napkin to take whatever it is out of my mouth. I was grossed out by it being a napkin in my salad. I ordered from post mates but I called the establishment to let them know what happened. I received an apology and was told to contact Postmate to receive a refund and that's it. It didn't feel like they wanted to offer any rectification at all. Will not be returning. But the two bites I had were good...oh well.

UPDATE: So I ordered today to give them a second chance. The owner and the employee I had spoken to with the aforementioned order from some days ago reached out to me and were both apologetic and were open to my feedback. I did appreciate that. So today at 8:51am I placed a future order on Grubhub for 11:45am. The order was confirmed by the place around 10am. So things checked out. My food was still 20 mins late outside of the latest ETA window--with still no communication that they're running late. I think businesses have a responsibility that if they don't have location trackers on their drivers to let someone know they are running late to then communicate with the paying customer of such situations. They don't take any initiative on their part unless the customer advocates for themselves. Granted, the food quality was great, I'll give them that. But if you can't meet the needs of online orders via Grubhub or other online outlets, then maybe do not offer it until you're ready. It's good to be open to feedback, it's better to act on that feedback. Attached is a screenshot of my order info to show the timeframes and generous amounts of time I gave them.

Man oh man, this place is good. Food is very tasty and the price is just right. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. This is definitely my go to spot for chicken and healthy sides. I always leave this place with a smile.

We have been making the trip out from Orange County since the place opened. The hummus, avocado wontons, sauces and chicken are worth the hour drive. I have a love/hate relationship with Yelp. Reading the reviews I see how amazing the food is, then a 1 star review because of an error. As a business owner nothing frustrates me more then seeing this. Understand humans are humans and mistakes happen. Don't believe the Karens... this place has AMAZING food and the staff is very attentive and helpful.
