Lisa Vanderpump’s Wolf by Vanderpump Restaurant at Harvey’s Lake Tahoe Is Open | Eater SF

"In American Canyon, I read that Guy Fieri will lend his name to a string of Chicken Guy restaurants across Northern California, with the first location opening at 200 American Canyon Road. The concept centers on chicken tenders and, at some locations, chicken sandwiches, served with a range of dipping sauces." - Lauren Saria

The food was really good. We got the loaded Mac n cheese and the Calabrain hot honey chicken sandwich. The employees were really nice also. It was our first time here. We will be coming back

We waited to try this place after the crowds slowed down. Our food had great flavor and was definitely different than other chicken spots. My only mild complaints were when the coke went out. Instead of changing the syrup they told us to pick something else. I also wanted to change my cheese to American and not add an extra slice but they charged me 50 cent more. That did not make sense but the lady stated that was policy. We will be back though.

First time to check out the World Famous Chicken Guy by Guy Fieri. Went through the drive-thru and asked for a minute to check out their menu. After 1 minute, I said hello again and got no response. I continued for another 2-3 minutes without any response. Just as I was about to drive away, a young lady laughingly answered, "Can I help you?" I quickly placed our order and followed the drive to the pay window. A young lady greeted me and took our order, but then started talking and laughing with another person rather than focusing on filling our order correctly. My son got no sauce for his chicken nuggets and the sauce on my sandwich was very sparing. Additionally, the fries were over salted abd my triple mint shake was almost room temperature. The taste of their chicken items was excellent, but their service needs to be addressed since it is obviously interfering with getting out food hot or cold as expected. I'll be back because the chicken was damn-good, but I hope to see improved service. ************* Update: Went back to try the dine-in of the restaurant. Service was much better this time around and the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. Much better experience. We'll be back!

Google
The chicken is good hands-down however the macaroni and cheese I don’t know where it came from, but definitely not from this world. I did not like it. The customer service could’ve been better a little bit more lively and accommodating. Nevertheless, the chicken is good definitely will be back for more

Google
The fried chicken dumplings were great!! The Mac n cheese was a bit under cooked and barely warm. The fries were like cafeteria fries from high school and they were not that hot. I liked that they were playing rock music. The dining room was clean, which is a big PLUS compared to any other restaurant within 5 miles!!

Google
Just shocked at how otherworldly delicious & Grubbable the Chicken Dumplings are - the texture, flavor, balance of Sweet, Spice & a touch of heat.... absolutely dreamy - and evil !! Lol. Thank God this isn't closer to my house or I'd be doomed

Google
I recently visited Chicken Guy! and unfortunately, it was a pretty disappointing experience from start to finish. The drive-thru is incredibly narrow, which was a real challenge to navigate in my truck. Once I got my order, the issues continued. The fruit punch I ordered tasted like red-colored bathwater—completely flavorless and without any of the crispness you'd expect. I also asked for specific sauces and was given the wrong ones, which was frustrating. My first combo, a #4, was surprisingly bland even though it was smothered in two different sauces that clashed rather than complemented each other. The strawberry shake was a redeeming feature, but it was so runny it was more like milk than a thick shake. The second combo was decent but lacked sauce and seemed to have more coleslaw than anything else. All in all, this wasn't my favorite meal, and I can confidently say it will be my last from here.

Google
Ive never heard of this place. But I passed it on my way to my delivery. So after I finished with work I came back. I had no idea what or who owned this. I was thinking it would just be like every other Chicken Sandwich, but to my surprise it was juicy and delicious. No kidding in every bite there was an abundance of flavors. Definitely coming back next time I’m in town. Please bring one to Redding CA. Thanks Michael M.

Yelp
I live in AC and held off on going to Chicken Guy at first because the lines were insane! Also, it was getting low scores. For me, I always give a new place the benefit of the doubt as I'm sure there were many kinks to iron out. Since then, I've been twice, and they flat out make delicious chicken sandwiches! On to the food! I've gotten the OG combo twice. The sandwich is super tasty! The chicken is crispy, juicy, and flavorful. And the sauce is yummy as well! The pickle is a nice contrast to all the sandwich flavors! As far as the fries go, they taste like they might be Cajun seasoned? Either way, they taste great as well. As far as services goes, it was quick and friendly. I'll definitely be back again to try other things on the menu!

Yelp
On the way to Napa we saw the bright red "Chicken Guy" sign. We had to stop and try this much-talked-about fast-food establishment. Upon entering, we noticed the life-size image of Guy! A little overwhelming--Ronald McDonald has nothing on this level of in-your-face branding--but it definitely sets the tone for what you're about to experience. We ordered The O.G. sandwich, which per the menu comes with two chicken patties, but ours arrived with only one. The single patty we did get was on the dry side, and the Donkey Sauce--usually the star of the show--was less than overwhelming. The staff, while not rude, wasn't exactly responsive either. However, they were extremely well-trained on one thing: reminding us (with gusto!) that every additional sauce is an extra charge. Noted! Overall, the experience didn't quite live up to the hype. Fun branding and a quirky stop on the way to Napa, but the food and service landed a bit flat for us. Maybe we just caught them on an off day.

Yelp
Best chicken in Vallejo! I came with my family for the first time, lovely place & great food, also let not talk about the costumer service with Liliana S. Super friendly help with recommendations..... +10 for her... well deserved increase in her pay check lol

Yelp
I've been to Chicken Guy! in Florida before, but the American Canyon location really surprised me! The chicken here was juicier and more flavorful! I appreciate that the breading was light and didn't feel heavy. The fried pickles were perfectly crisp and addictive, and the mint shake hit the spot. I also tried the limited-edition sandwich, Money Honey BBQ, with chicken, bacon, cheese, and fried pickles. This was super hearty and satisfying. The fried chicken dumplings were a fun, tasty surprise too. Service was great. Staff ere friendly and the food came out in a timely matter. They were doing construction during our visit so it was a bit loud inside but that didn't take away from the tasty food we had. Overall, a great visit and definitely worth stopping by!

Yelp
My opinion.. food was horrible. Bread was stale. Fries were cold. Chicken sandwich was not very tasty. I would rather get a mcdonalds or popeyes chicken sandwich.

Yelp
While I was visiting my Mother in-law, I noticed Guy Fieri opened up a new establishment I. The neighborhood. I ordered my food through the drive through and the staff member taking the order was super friendly and helpful, making several recommendations. I ended up getting the 5 Tender Combo with fries and a drink along with a side of Mac and Cheese. The tenders were flavorful and juicy. I like the seasoning on the fries but they could have been served a little fresher. I chose the house 'secret' sauce and the donkey sauce. Both were very good! All in all this place was very good and I would definitely come back!

Yelp
So good each time we come. Ordered online this time. Only complaint with ordering online you can't order two of the same sauces. Something they need to fix. So I asked them for two bbq when I picked up my order. Got the dumplings and the spicy tenders. You have to try them!

Yelp
Emity inside but a lot of people at the drive thru so obviously a tight bite joint. Music was classic rock/country and made it warm and homey. I chose the Mac and cheese chicken sandwich it was AMAZING it was the BEST sandwich I've ever had. fast and friendly highly recommend sitting in if you can.

Yelp
We decided to try this "new spot" for our office monthly birthday meal. We had multiple sandwiches, sides and sauces. We had high hopes since it's Guy Fieri's baby. But it comes down to the local people, I guess. Maybe eating IN is a different experience, because the food surely must be better hot. I ended up with the BLTA chicken sandwich. Chicken tenders on the sandwich were good, crispy, salty. The lettuce was shredded so thin, it got masked by the guacamole sauce, and there were some tomatoes sliced as thin as pepperoni that I almost didn't see either. Bun was soft. Probably just order the tenders, not the sandwich!!! Macaroni and cheese - as described by my coworker- Tasted like nothing. No flavor at all. The coleslaw was so awful I spit it out as soon as I tasted it, blah! Fries were salty, seasoned. Cold. Sauces were tasty, we liked the donkey sauce the best. Oreo milkshake was sweet and tasty. The Apple Jack milkshake tasted like cereal milk. Don't order take out- The milkshakes are soft serve so they were bad, melted. Cold food not so great.

Yelp
I've been thinking about the Chicken Guy for the last few weeks! So today I decided to try them out. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich,Fries, and Hot Tenders and a Coke!!! Paid by Credit Card!!! Got Offered a Fried Pickle Sample and it was delicious. Service was Friendly and Efficient!!!! Chicken Guy Is A Baller On A Budget Approved Establishment!!!!

Yelp
Chicken was super light and crispy without being greasy and the shakes were AMAZING! The apple shake was my favorite item on the whole menu. I loved that they had 10+ sauces to try with the tenders. Shoutout to the amazing stuff for being kind, giving great suggestions, and sending food out quickly! Pretty cool ambiance as well, slightly elevated fast food. Full food review reel posted on IG @megansellsdreamhomes

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday after running errands! Wasn't busy so that was a plus! We got the OG chicken sandwich and the Buffalo Mac n cheese chicken sandwich, hot chicken tenders, and fried chicken dumplings! The chicken here is sooo juicy and not dry which is a plus! Only weird thing is that the chicken sandwiches are chicken tenders not a breast or a thigh. I'm not mad at it but just didn't expect that. Main highlight: the chicken tenders! Please get them! Although I did wish they were a little thicker.. but they were the definition of FLAVORTOWN! If you come. Please do yourself a favor and get the tenders!

Yelp
Every restaurant is entitled to an off day, and this one was Chicken Guys. The scenario is that the dining room was closed for repair, so we had to walk up to the drive-thru to order, and then the food would be delivered to their patio. We placed an order that totaled over $35 and proceeded to the patio. It was kinda clean, but only a few tables. The food took 19 minutes to be delivered so I can only imagine what the drive-thru wait and experience were like. I can tell you that our food sat for a while before being delivered. The signature app, Fried chicken dumpling, was lukewarm at best but had it been served immediately, it would have been the star of the menu. The second appetizer, Chopped chicken eggroll, were lukewarm at best and kinda mushy. Good powdered seasoning on the outside of the eggroll skin. The BLAT Sandwich would have been great had it been warm. It has a great roll and condiments. The chicken tenders had great texture and seasoning, but would have been better served in a cold salad since they were cold to the touch, and cold bacon is not very tasty at all. The fries that accompanied the combo order were cold. The drinks ordered were cold but watered down. (ice melting and condensation on the cups) To add insult to injury, we ordered sauces that we paid extra for and did not get all of them with our meal. We got sauces, but only the Nashville hot. We did not get donkey or chipotle ranch. I imagine we got the signature sauce, which was good but close to Thousand Island. To be fair, this restaurant has only been open for a short time. The staff was good, but also struggled a bit when paying attention to customers. I am sure that the food will improve as it ages. I will certainly give it another try when I come through the area again.

Yelp
Decent food, cool service, and funky ambiance (Guy Fieri style) is how I can describe Chicken Guy. Hidden behind Walgreens, I happen to be driving by and wondered what kind of chicken place this was. After doing my research, I realized it was a Guy Fieri licensed restaurant. Since Guy is one of my favorite personalities on Food Network, I decided to give it a try. Ordered the B.L.A.T Chicken Sandwich meal, which is a sandwich with fried chicken, lettuce, avocado crema, and tomato with seasoned fries and a drink. Chicken fried good, but lacked any flavor. The buttermilk ranch on the sandwich also didn't have any taste to it. The fries were hot, crispy and flavorful. Overall it was just ok. For Guy to be the "Mayor of Flavortown", he may have to get his licensees on board before the next "Flavortown election".

Yelp
BLAT sandwich and fries here are incredibly delicious!! From now on I always get the signature sauce and it never disappoints. But you know what always disappoints? The service. I don't know how, but both times I've been here the experience has just been sad. I try to be understanding of our part-timers but they forgot my sauce, forgot to give me and two of my friends ketchup, and the other time I went here it took like 20 minutes for our food and the place was practically empty.

Yelp
Tasty chicken strips....cant wait to go back and try a milk shake. Drive thru seemed kinda slow but the server at the window was cool. Over all if you likesimple crispy chicken strips ....this is a quick, tasty, budget friendly way to go! Ciao for now......

Yelp
Service is terrible. I ordered 2 of the 3 tenders combo, the bourbon brown sugar bbq combo #2, and buffalo Mac n cheese #4. The total was $44. Wow cheap. Then when the food came only the tender combos came. The lady at the counter forgot to ring up the other orders yet she gave us all the drink cups. My combo 4 wasn't anything special. The Mac n Cheese was decent, chicken lacked crunch. I got fried pickles instead of fries and they were not cooked evenly. Some were over fried and burnt. Special sauce wasn't good. Garlic Parmesan and Chipotle Ranch sauce were the best. Ambiance was bright and fun.
google avatar

Leilana T.

Yelp
I sent my daughter to buy me one 3 piece meal, Mac and cheese, fried pickles and 3 different sauces. They gave her 3 pieces of chicken (WITHOUT THE MEAL: missing fries and drink, the side of Mac n Cheese, and only 1 type of sauce ) By this point I was already HANGRY, so you could imagine how much more pissed I was after paying $40. For about $40, this is all I received! She waited in line FOREVER and rushed out without looking in the bag. I know.... Bad on her for not checking. But c'mon people, a little care goes a long way. Not a good start. Who is in charge of quality control?!?!?!

Yelp
Visited 12/13/24 , only its 2nd day being open. My Original 3 star post got pulled. What a madhouse. Drive-thru was packed, not moving. Parked and walked in , even that was a challenge by design. No clear pathways, crosswalks covered by cars waiting in line. Not a real thought for pedestrian safety. Had to move through the drive-thru, climb over a curb with a grade. Looked like we were in the wrong lot? Just poorly thought-out. Idk how someone with a wheelchair could get in. DINE IN: 45-60 min wait for food. Plenty of Staff but sheer volume of customers was overwhelming. You could feel their frustration, being overworked, moving in slow motion, undirected. It was so busy did not see one staff member come out to sanitize any tables or clean anything. Had to wait for a table. THE FOOD: 3 PC TENDERS (#5 combo) Decent sized tenders, moist was a plus the downside it was heavily overseasoned to my liking. Felt like a whole bottle of paprika / season salt/ allspice in each tender. Was reaching for sauces to cut the mayhem. Unfortunately they ran out of BBQ sauce but the garlic parm and honey mustard was decent. O.G. Chicken sandwich #1 Same price as tenders but Way smaller portion. Underwhelming generic bun. Weak like thousand island style sauce chicken was not seasoned much compared to tenders and a couple flimsy pickles. Cold. Small portion very dry. Wished i got anything else FRIES: The fries were actually good! Skin on style. Seasoned salt but not overdone. It saved the meal to be honest. Had a soda to wash it down. Attached some menus and photos. Around $10 for the combos. Recommend waiting a week or two for the hype to calm down. Wish them all the best. Food and the scene just really isn't for me.

Yelp
The food tasted good, liked the sandwiches and the fries being fresh. It's a little pricey, but not the worst. What was atrocious was the wait time in the drive-through-- only one car ahead of us and it was 15 minutes! My friend literally got out of the car from the drive-through, went and did their shopping at Walgreens, and came back and we still hadn't gotten our food! It appeared they had a big order they were working on instead of mine, but one of the workers standing around inside finally looked over at me and saw my annoyance and put my food in a bag and gave it to me. Seemed there was no situational awareness from the others No napkins or silverware given, of course. Based on this experience, I do not think I would come back.

Yelp
In passing on the way home I was curious what Chicken Guy was. To my surprise it is Guy Fiero. I I was instantly beamed up by " Scotty " to Flavor town. There was self service and someone to place an order with as well. I did self service n kiosks. Easy navigation. Food was read pretty fast. I ordered the Og similar but no cigar From the buttery bun, and well seasoned chicken and fries. Not to forget the sauce. Me and the fam were completed satisfied. The inside out buns on the grilled cheese(granddaughter ate every bit of it. The chicken strips and BBQ SAUCE THE YOUNGEST OF US ATE IT ALL AS WELL. The last of us had the LTO was also good. W ate it all UP! Left nothing on the table. Don't sleep on Chicken Guy!!
google avatar

Sandra F.

Yelp
Ordered the #2 chicken sandwich and the 5 piece chicken tender meal, substituted the fries for the fried pickles. Ordered through the drive thru, service was fast and total came out to $27. Chicken tenders were lightly breaded and juicey, didn't taste overly greasy. The #2 chicken burger was excellent! This is the best fast food chicken sandwich I've ever had! Everything on the chicken sandwich enhanced all the flavors of the sandwich. The fried pickles were also tasty, you can't go wrong there. We got ranch, bbq brown sugar bourbon, buffalo, honey mustard, and sweet and sour sauces. All were very good. I'll def come back!

Yelp
After several months passed by from when they opened, I finally was able to have lunch here for the first time! It wasn't busy when I arrived at 1:30 pm on a Wednesday afternoon. I was greeted with a warm welcome and smile. I ordered the three piece tenders meal and it was served fast! The tenders were hot, juicy, and cooked to perfection. They are thick portions too! I ordered the spicy tenders and they were perfect! The fries were hot, crispy, with excellent flavor and seasoning! The restaurant is nicely decorated with Guy's modern designs. Thanks for a great first dining experience! I'll see you again soon and will try a hand spun milkshake next time!

Yelp
Hi , I ordered the kids meal chicken tender meal and my friend ordered those dumplings . Sorry ,,, I know good tasting ... Is it fresh ,,, ummmm mine wasn't ! Was it tasty ,,,, ummmm SALTY !!! Marketing ,,, GREAT People say great deco and it is ... However I don't care about deco ,,,much more concerned about the food quality . I'm sure if the actual " Robert Earl " prepared his "New " franchise ( CHICKEN GUY) food ,I'm sure the flavors would reign supreme. The fast food CHICKEN GUY FRANCHISE approach to me should be or could be better ... The prices ,,,,, ummmmm ,,, NO Sorry I'm telling my truth , my experience on 3/31/2025 in American Canyon , California.

Yelp
After all the hype finally ate here this week . The fries were crispy and had both salt and pepper seasoning. My chicken tenders were crispy also and I enjoyed the dipping sauces. After all this I am left with the conclusion of a big MEH. I wish them well but there is nothing that wants to make me come back there

Yelp
I've heard quite a few negative feedback regarding this newly opened establishment but I did not let that deter me from trying out this place. I went here during a random Tuesday afternoon around 5:00pm and decided to go through the drive thru. There were only 3 cars in front of me and the wait to get my food was short and it took about the same time I would've expected from any other fast food joint. The cashier that took my order was polite and helpful. When I got home my food was piping hot and packed neatly, nothing was missing from my order. I ordered the #1 combo which was the O.G sandwich with the fries and a vanilla shake along with a side order of the fried chicken dumplings. The sandwich was good but I wasn't a big fan of the flavor. The chicken was reminiscent of a chicken parmigiana filet. The breading was thick and crunchy. There was nothing wrong with the chicken sandwich itself but I feel I had tasted better chicken sandwiches. The dumplings were good and tasted/smelled like actual dumplings. I also ordered 2 additional sauces: the donkey sauce and the special sauce but they tasted very similar. All in all, I think it's worth it for people to come and try at least once. For me, I don't think I would add this to my food rotation but the food was fresh and something I'll try again if my friends or kids wanted to stop by.

Yelp
The restaurant seating inside was closed due to a floor issue but the manager was very nice and said we could walk over to the drive thru and order there and they would bring it out. Service by both the manager and the order taker was great. We had the dumplings which were very good and crispy and warm but not hot. The eggrolls were tasty and they were fresh off the fryer and hot but the rest of the meal was COLD. The fries had obviously sat for hours and the chicken tenders for the BLAT sandwich were cold and you could tell they had been fried earlier in the day. Disappointing meal.

Yelp
We are huge fans of Guy. It started out ironically, but now I think he actually is sort of cool? I dunno. But I know when he opened a restaurant in our old stomping grounds, we had to check it out! And everything that people say about this place... well, it's largely true haha. We had seen the stories of people not getting their food. And sure enough, we were one sandwich short. Which was frustrating to have to go inside to get it. But overall not a huge deal, mistakes happen. Then there's the price. I actually don't think that it's too bad compared to some other spots, but for 3 combos and a couple orders of Mac and cheese, we spent a bit under $50. Which is a lot for what is essentially fast food. I thought the sandwiches were fine. They're not as good as other places, like Houston's, Dave's, even Popeye's IMO. Which makes recommending this spot difficult. Because it isn't bad, per se, it just isn't... super good? It's fine. I dunno. It's like Guy, I guess. I think I like him? But I'm never quite sure. Oh well.

Yelp
Food was good. Place was clean. Music was a bit loud. I had the sandwich with whiskey bbq sauce. Hubby had a blt chicken sandwich combo. We both liked what we got. He had Mac n cheese as his side. I had a taste. It was good.
google avatar

Yelp
It was an okay place for fast food chicken. I wasn't sure if it was more of a drive thru place because the entrance to dine in area definitely seemed odd; the shortest way from the parking lot involved walking through the drive thru line of cars. Plenty of tables inside and there was a good number of people dining in. Ordering was easy and the staff was pretty friendly and helpful. But the chicken was just ok. It could use a little more flavor and that's probably where the different sauces shine. I went with the special sauce and chipotle ranch with my chicken tenders. Both were ok. Little bit of heat with the chipotle ranch but not spicy by any means. The OG sandwich could use a little more sauce. It comes with the special sauce but additional sauce isn't free. Worth checking out if you're in the area but not something we'd go out of our way for. A solid 3.5 stars so rounding up since it's a pretty new establishment and we might give it another try.

Yelp
online ordering broken called to order guy barely spoke english and refused to take my order over the phone rude and crappy
google avatar

Mike A.

Yelp
The food is bland and doesn't come with much sauce on the sandwich. Plush you have to pay 50 cents for any extra sauce you may want. Additionally, they recently switched out their fries for some thicker ones which sucks because the last ones were really good.

Yelp
Checked out new Guy Fieri's Chicken Guy restaurant last week. I got the chicken dumplings and they are worth trying again. The dumplings are super crunchy and the green onions, sesame seeds and sauce drizzle takes it to another level. These were probably the 2nd best dumplings that I ever had. The bourbon bbq burger was good. It definitely needed more bbq sauce. I asked for another sauce after getting my order and trying my burger. The guy at register said it would be $.50! Seriously? I had to borrow a dollar from a friend to get more sauce. I thought this was ridiculous and off putting to me. The sandwich itself was good. The chicken was crunchy outside and very flavorful (once I paid for more sauce) fries were cooked well too. I would definitely go there again.
google avatar

Ray T.

Yelp
Chicken was ok. I tried the Bourbon Brown Sugar BBQ and BLAT sandwiches and chicken tenders. The tenders are the same as the chicken sandwich patty. All the seasonings have a sweet flavor to them, I prefer savory flavors instead. The chicken used are all skinny, so more dry after cooking. We went during opening day, the place I had an upbeat atmosphere but the service was incredibly slow (expected during grand opening, but we were near the front of the line and it still took 2 hours).

Yelp
Terrible Drive-Thru Experience I decided to try this place since the drive-thru was empty. As soon as I pulled up, the employee said, "Please give me a minute," and I said, "Okay." I waited about 5 minutes with no response, so I checked in by saying, "Anyone there?" still nothing. After another 10 minutes (with now 3 cars behind me), the guy behind me got out of his car and went inside to complain. Only then did someone take my order, but with no apology for the wait. At the pick-up window, I had to wait another 10+ minutes before getting my food. When I got home, I saw I was missing a chicken strip and they didn't include any of the sauces I asked for. I don't know if they thought I was the one who complained, but this whole experience felt careless and unprofessional. I'll never come back here.

Yelp
All right, I gotta give dues and propers to chicken guy AC I just mentioned randomly hey I got it email about birthday free three tenders and I know the website and that restaurant are not really connected but they gave me three free tenders for my birthday and I appreciate that very much. Thank you again for responding. You really are the sauce bossessss., garlic parm Is Slap your mama good.,.

Yelp
Plenty of parking. Drive-thru is interesting and service was fast. Ordered the B.L.A.T but didn't eat it until the next day. Still, the B.L.A.T was good a day later. Can't go wrong with a chicken sandwich and glad this one had plenty of chicken instead of breading. Overall decent food.

Chricelle V.

Yelp
It was pretty good. I liked how the chicken was juicy. My kids didn't really like the Mac & Cheese. The hot tenders were actually spicy! Overall, wouldn't mind coming back to try other things when we're in the area.

Yelp
For their first week being opened, they are absolutely killing it!!! I took a few steps in and was immediately met with the books being opened with a friendly greeting amd the back of the line. There was probably twenty people ahead of me but the moved extremely fast. Even more incredibly, food was flying out just as fast as people were ordering. The crew was doing an awesome job, the management was was helping a.d encouraging the crew, and the ambience fresh, relaxing, and fun. The food was awesome. The menu was comprised of great looking chicken sandwiches, salads, chicken tenders, loaded fry, and sauces. EVERYTHING looked great! I ate the BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato) and a loaded french fries that were a bit salty) but was very good nonetheless. The chicken here comes as two thin cutlets instead of one thicker piece of chicken. I'm assuming it's to maximize crunch factor and timely service. The boss is sauce! It isn't posted that each additional sauce is an extra charge on the menu display. Order any extra sauces at the register.

Yelp
First off, my son picked up the food so I can't speak on the terrible customer service customers have received. With all the previous reviews I was not expecting much but the food wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed the tenders more than Cane's. They were a decent size but some were thinner than others which could be the reason for the dry reviews. The star of the of the meal were the sauces though. Had the Special, Nashville Hot Honey and Donkey Sauce. They definitely make up for the basic seasoning of the tender. The fries were not crispy and as you can see in the pic were barely filled halfway. Worth a try but not if you have to wait more than 30 minutes in that drive thru.

Yelp
Both experiences I've had at Chicken Guy have been amazing! Customer service is a 10/10! The first time a friend went to pick up some food for me, so this is what her experience was. On opening day, they forgot the sauces from our meals, so a worker met her in the parking lot to sort everything out for her. Today, they let me know they ran out of an item that I ordered. They were quick to ask me if I wanted anything else or a refund on the item. I opted for a refund, but the manager offered me a free shake anyway! The employees are really going above and beyond during such a busy time, so I appreciate them. Food I would say is more 8/10. The food is good! The Pepperoni Chicken Parm Sandwich was a little expensive for the size but it had good flavor! The tenders are seasoned nicely, but I found them a little dry. So far from the sauces tried, I prefer their special sauce (I've tried their special sauce & Nashville hot honey). But they went well with the tenders!

Yelp
Business that was not properly thought off ‍ a lot of people were disappointed on their opening day, they gotta closed early bec they ran out of inventory.... the next day, hubby drove through but have to wait for 2 hrs, 12:30-2:30pm. The day after they closed early because staff are overwhelmed. They just cause traffic on the road.... food is overseasoned, my fambam prefers to dip their chicken on chick-a-fila sauce. Even if this is walking distance from my place- never again!

Yelp
Disappointing First Visit - Rude Drive through I was excited to try Guy Fieri's Chicken Guy in American Canyon for the first time, but unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. My boyfriend and I went through the drive-thru a little before 5 PM yesterday, and the interaction started off normally. The employee greeted us and took our order--one Bourbon Brown Sugar combo meal (upgraded to a large Coke drink) and a BLAT sandwich (just the sandwich, no meal). As she repeated the order back, everything seemed correct, but when she gave us the total, it felt unusually low. $13 and some change.. To be sure, my boyfriend asked, "Just to confirm, you did get the BLAT sandwich, right?" Instead of simply checking or correcting the order, the employee let out a long, dramatic sigh and responded with "Ughhhh okay, so NOW I have to make another order because I could have sworn I repeated it back and you said it was fine??..So now I have to start over.." Excuse me? Was she seriously being sarcastic over a simple clarification? It's literally HER JOB to ensure orders are correct. If we hadn't double-checked, we wouldn't have gotten the food we asked for. To make matters worse, the restaurant wasn't even busy--no other cars in the drive-thru except one that was already at the end waiting for their food, no rush, no reason for that attitude. Why treat paying customers like an inconvenience? At that point, I was so over it that I didn't even want to deal with a manager or anyone else. I just told my boyfriend to drive off. We left without saying anything because, honestly, if that's how they treat customers, I'd rather not even waste my time. It's incredibly frustrating that good service is so rare these days. If I'm going out and spending my hard-earned money, I'd rather support a place that values its customers instead of dealing with employees who act like they don't even want to be there. Major disappointment. It kind of worked out anyways because if it wasn't for me leaving this review I wouldn't have known that I'm not the only one that is complaining about service m and lack of good quality chicken lol so thanks

Yelp
So excited to have this unique fast food choice added to our neighborhood. We have watched it progress and are excited to be new customers. The building is very colorful and lit up brightly. It's a little tucked away even though it's off the 29. The food is fantastic, I'll admit I was skeptical. My son said it's better than Canes and that's saying something. The tenders are HUGH! My son got a 5pc but only ate 2. Crispy, Juicy, Crunchy and seasoned just right. Donkey Sauce was our favorite. The pepperoni chicken parm sandwich was off the hook cooked as well as the tenders. Fries are seasoned and natural cut. The chopped salad was loaded, had it with the grilled chicken. It was $40 for 3 adults to eat. We all had leftovers. Overall a great meal, hope it stays consistent. Hunter Fieri was there and was just as nice as I expected. We will be back. Downloaded the app and got free fries.

Yelp
First of all, I wanted to say that people should expect any grand opening to be rough. Long waits and substandard service is expected when 1,000 people come rushing through the door all at once. That's why I wanted to wait after grand opening week to do my review. The good: - Prices were fair with combo meals averaging anywhere between $12-18 - A variety of chicken sandwiches like that Bourbon Brown BBQ sandwich, buttermilk ranch, and even a Mac n Cheese chicken sandwich - Milkshakes on deck - Dipping sauces on deck - Drive Thru window The bad: - Limited indoor seating during peak times (can get better once the hype calms down) - No trash pickup (piles of trays and trash overflowing) - Dining floor needed sweeping - Front door became fingerprint city - Sweet tea was too damn sweet like syrup - Can use a speaker system to announce orders. Heard same order get called for 10 min straight not sure if person ordering heard his name get called Food experience: - Brown sugar bourbon bbq chicken sandwich was on point. Chicken was fairly thick and breading was crispy and tasted like breading I get from Walmart. Chicken was nice and tender, white meat of course. Cole slaw topping was tasty and sandwich was covered in that bourbon brown bbq sauce. Sandwich was girthy and bun was nice and buttery on both sides. - Season fries were a tad bit on the soggy side. Kind of felt like they may have been sitting for a bit. You can tell when seasoned fries are fresh out the fryer, they should have that snap every time. Seasoning was good but a bit salty for my mother. - Chicken tenders were good. Got the 3 piece and each piece was decently sized. Again they are fried in that seasoned breading and were tender. Tender combo comes with any 2 sauces. I got the honey mustard and buttermilk ranch. Ranch sauce was nice and chunky and the honey mustard definitely tasted nice and sweet. Service: - Cashier's kept the line moving which was nice. Although they were overall friendly, towards the end of my transaction my cashier began loosing enthusiasm and I got confused if they were going to call my name, or bring out my food because the lady gave me a table number that said place at edge of table, kind of like how Carl's JR does it. At the end, they did not bring out my food, they call your name and you just have to pick it up. Overall it's nice that there's finally a chicken place besides Popeyes near the North Vallejo/American Canyon side. I hope that once the hype begins to calm down the management can train the staff to be attentive to keeping the dining area nice and clean. Also, parking is a bit small here because you got Walgreens and 7-eleven next door and since restaurant is still hyped, parking is full.

Yelp
Oh man, I am OBSESSED!!! I consider myself a chicken strip connoisseur and these are now at the top of my list! I ordered a 5 piece chicken strip meal with fries and whatever seasoning they use on the strips and fries are finger licking good. The strips are crunchy but still super moist and perfect white meat! My niece ordered the fried pickles and actually had to place a second order because they were that good! We also got the hot tenders and although they're incredible on their own, they're even better paired with all the sauces! We tried the garlic parmesan, buffalo and Nashville hot honey and couldn't get enough. The service was great and the staff was super friendly and happy to help which makes the experience that much better. On top of that, the whole vibe of the restaurant is just so fun. All the artwork and decor really tops off the experience. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could, this place is about to be super addicting!

Yelp
Newly opened chicken guy: excited to try this place after trying it in Florida Orlando in WDW. Drive through was closed when we went. We had to park by Walgreens and walk through the drive through to get to the front doors. Visited 12/23/24 and there reward system was not working which was disappointing because if you have a business that has an app and open a new place your rewards should be able to be used or gained. I asked for sauces when I got my food and was told they charge for extra sauce. I understand most places do, it would have been nice to been asked while I was ordering if I would like specific sauces so they can charge me all together. Area overall clean. Service was nice. Line was long when we got there so we understand these employee were hard at work.

Yelp
My first time going to Chicken Guy. We got an assortment of different things since we wanted to try things. There wasn't that many people inside at the moment. The place was clean and tidy. Overall I liked what I got, I would say the fries were more flavorful than the chicken I got.
