Chicken Hut

We’ve been in here a few times. Mainly for the side of fries because the value is great and the fries are pretty darn good. Went twice in one day today first time got a grilled cheese and fries which comes with a drink for about $7. We really wanted chicken so we walked back down and gave this place a chance given it’s named the chicken hut. Terrible. See picture. You get four “strips” of this size with the fries and NO drink for like $14. The chicken isn’t crispy or seasoned at all. The workers here aren’t all that friendly. Atmosphere only getting a two instead of one because they play old school cartoons. DISAPPOINTED Not a great CHICKEN place.

Honestly, I'm lost for words... Nothing was appeasing or worth the money or wait. We visit Gatlinburg numerous times each year, and this place has been our only disappointment. It's crazy when even a grilled cheese sandwich is rocket science... Definitely would have added more pictures if the kids wouldn't have thrown their food away.

We had a great fresh and hot meal when we visited Chicken Hut while visiting Gatlinburg! We didn't have to wait very long while they cooked our meal and then we got to sit outside to enjoy it. The space is a little small on the inside but the outside seating helps. The chicken was really good but the fries were my favorite! We also tried the mozzarella cheese sticks and the fried pickles. I like the mozzarella cheese sticks better. Thanks for lunch guys!

I recently visited Chicken Hut and had a rather disappointing experience. The cleanliness of the restaurant was lacking, and I even noticed the owner eating in the kitchen, which didn't inspire confidence. The French fries were soggy and not crispy at all, and the fried chicken seemed stale, likely from sitting in the hot case for too long. The taste of the chicken was quite lardy, and overall, I felt like I wasted $52. It was the worst fries of my life.

Place looks catchy Un like there food not at all great have had better food at a food truck. Fries were soggy burger lacked taste. Wound not recommend over priced.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. There's not much seating inside, but there's a few benches outside. The staff is friendly. The all beef hot dog is a little smaller than expected, but was good. The corn dog, seasoned fries, and mozzarella sticks were all great. They also have a decent sized menu with a good verity for a quick meal. The price is not too bad either.

At first glance, it looked a bit sketchy, but the food was freshly fried and service was good. It was pretty upkept when I went in as well. I had to take a star bc they messed up our order the first time, so we had to wait double the time and pay the difference.

This restaurant offers halal chicken and their Philly steak is halal meat as well. The food was great and the staff is extremely friendly and go out of their way to help with your order. The restaurant is fast food so it’s small and you can sit outside. There is no parking. It’s on main road.

We were walking around Gatlinburg at night and we were all hungry so Chicken Hut was one of the only places open. Even though it was late they were super nice and took our order. We got a kids burger, hot dog and fries, honey bbq wings and fresh cut fries. While we waited for the food we sat in the dining room watching some tv and looking at the brightly painted red and yellow walls. The food was cooked relatively fast and was hot. Everything tasted great! The wing sauce was delicious and the wings super crispy. The burger and hot dog had good flavoring. The hand cut fries were perfect, they were just the right amount of crisp and not overly salty. I'm glad we tried Chicken Hut on a whim because now we are hooked and will definitely be back when in the Gatlinburg area.

There were gnats in the malt vinegar which was kept without a lid. Things were sticky. We ordered and paid and then threw our food away as we looked around more closely and left.

Went for a quick lunch while in Gatlinburg. Bad decision! Expensive , greasy and bland! The place is small and seemed dirty. Service was not the best and the food was just horrible. Fries were mushy, the chicken tenders had no seasoning and hot dogs were dry and had a weird taste. Not recommended!

This place is a good little hole in the wall. It is fast and delicious, the staff was nice. Stopped in late night after walking up and down the strip, it sits back into the shopping center. Since the area is a tourist area. Limited seating but the wings I had were delicious, my kids had hot dogs and fries. Nothing wrong with some fast food when you're out and about on the town. But don't take my word for it try out this chicken hut out. I think it's worth it.

Chicken was terrible. Not only was it tough but the grease seemed old and there was ZERO flavor. Pretty sure it was dipped in egg and flower and thrown into the old grease. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Never had this place and saw some mixed reviews but it was pretty decent for a whole in the wall. Me and my boyfriend got 12 wings (lemon pepper, and spicy BBQ) and a side of the tenders W fries. Fry's have no salt so definitely add some but the sauces for the wings were really good! Tenders were decent as well! Service was chill nice people, pretty dead when we went in.

Chips were good, it has pulled pork and bbq sauce but the sauce doesn't taste right with the cheese sauce but besides the sweet bbq taste with cheese it was alright. Was pricey for 14 dollars

Just don't eat it if you've ever had good chicken. Counter workers are terrible, lighting and building are drab and filthy, and the chicken is overpriced for basically jack shit.​

fries are flavorless, chicken not good. food in general made me feel extremely nauseous and I feel like I'm gonna vomit after eating it. not good.

Have been here 3 times now just for the chicken strips and fries for my daughter but can't complain. Food cooked to order so it's been hot and fresh. They don't put salt on the fries so if taking it to go make sure to add before leaving. Staff is not that friendly when you walk in they don't say much more or less are talking to each other and you have to interrupt the conversation to get them to take the order. This past week the conversation was not something that should be taking place in a family establishment and should have been behind closed doors. Unfortunately they were talking about "pecker" sizes "tall guys in my experience are lot smaller then you would think"

We were overcharged and they refused to give us our money back. On top of that, the food was bland and had no flavor. I ordered chicken tenders and fries. It was a terrible experience, and the restaurant was dirty.

The food was amazing the wings were the best I've never had in my life !! And my nephew Loves the onion rings he said "this food tastes so good he would give them 10,000 dollars" keep up the good work !!

Was a bit skeptical cause of the reviews but honestly I wasn't disappointed, it's a bit pricey but food was good. Ordered a 6 piece wings combo and some fried pickles. Staff was friendly, i would recommend

This may be the worst food spot in Gatlinburg. The staff clearly doesn't care about their jobs and offer no help. The food here is horrendous. I ordered a chicken sandwich and onion rings. The onion rings were okay but the chicken sandwich was terrible. The chicken was obviously frozen and had no flavor and they even got it wrong. When I took it back in the work staff begrudgingly just gave me a new bun. The worst thing is the food is quite expensive when it should be incredibly cheap considering the quality. There are so many better places to eat in Gatlinburg so don't waste your time here.

This was a decent spot to eat. A bit over overpriced a la carte but overall good food. Hotdogs are ginormous Staff was friendly.

A group of us were walking around the Gatlinburg strip in need of some lunch, and were pretty much settling for the first thing we could find. Chicken Hut it was! If you're looking for something unique or special to Gatlinburg, definitely skip out on this place as it is just generic fast food. But if you could literally eat a table and need something in your stomach ASAP, it'll do. It is in the central area, so it stays pretty busy. They have chicken tenders, wings, fried pickles..bar food, essentially. The employees here were really, really friendly, you'd of thought you accidentally went into Chick Fil A! I got an order of the fried pickles, which were pretty good. Chicken Hut is also located next to mini golf, Old Smoky Moonshine and many other big tourist staples!

Service was great. Food was not the best, chicken tenders were tiny and had little to no flavor. Fries were under cooked. Wasn't the best place i've ate and was way over priced.

Food was horrible couldn't even eat it. Fries were raw and dripping with oil. Hot dog was rubbery. Chicken was so bland I thought I was eating paper. While eat a lady came in and I advised her to turn around!!! If you're in Gatlinburg do not do not eat At this place

Rude staff, great food. Huge portions, delicious sandwiches and homemade onion rings. Definitely will be back, but hopefully won't have to deal with the sarcastic pro-gun hat wearing cashier.

I ordered multiple things here for myself and my family thinking it was going to be good and turns out it was not. I ordered the lemon pepper wings for myself and they did not have any flavor to them. Taste nasty. Just plane oil taste to them. I ordered the Mac n cheese for my baby that was extremely horrible. My 4 yr old got sick off of getting the Mac and threw all of it up. Waste of money. A burger for my husband and it was soggy. I do not recommend this place to no one. Pulse they don't have to go containers. They just give you foil to wrap your order up in. So by the time you make it wherever you are going your burger bun is soggy. Never will I return to this place again.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place SUCKS. Ordered through Grub Hub and received two separate messages that delayed my order. After an hour and 40 minutes, I received a 3rd message canceling my order because the 'restaurant has stopped taking orders'. I will never again. Use Gub Hub or patronize Chicken Hut.

Amazing service, and great food!!!!! The fried pickles were to die for! Highly recommend!

My family and I recently went to eat at this location and we were utterly disappointed, to say the least. 1st issue severely overpriced for the crappy quality of the food. 2nd issue the state of the place was DISGUSTANG. Our third and final issue covid-19 regulations, none of the employees WORE MASKS OR GLOVES as they SHOULD have been. personal complaints ONLY 3 CHICKEN TENDERS!? WOT?! the soda tasted WATERED DOWN! RUDE CASHIER a LONG wait time considering the time we ordered at\ SHITTY BURGERS To conclude, Shitty service overall and that's on what? PERIODT. fuck this location :)

Not a long review. The food was excellent and the staff were amazing... If you get a chance to try this establishment you won't regret it.

Honestly I hate to be negative but go somewhere else for dinner. The fries are nothing but grease. The chicken breast was so dry. My son's hamburger wasn't very good at all. I didn't take pictures because I did not want to remember this meal. The lady that check us out was nice and the apple cider with orange juice is the only reason this is getting two stars and not one.

I was enjoying my chicken wings till I pulled a long hair out of my food. We were eating inside and I took it and the remaining wings to the counter. The guy said "it's not mine" to which I replied well it's not mine clearly you can see its way longer. He asked did I want more? Of course I was hesitant and asked if it would come without hair, he said Im not sure. So I was like well you don't give refunds so I guess yes but I ate 5 out of the 12. He told the other guy what was going on and they both looked at me like I was lying. I never left there with the food, I showed the guy the hair which was clear it did not come from me. I ended up telling them just forget it and left. Will not go again and would not recommend

If I could give them 0 stars I would. My family was here 39 minutes before closing and as soon as we walked in the cook said "you should have said we were closed." As I approached the counter the cashier said we only have fried food. As in they didn't want to grill anything anymore. Never again !!!!!! Food was not fresh and place looked dirty.

Be aware! Looking for something on the go? this is not it. With 4 people in the kitchen we had to wait for about 20 minutes for two hot dogs. Sign at the door asked to wear masks, however, no one behind the counter (2 cashier and 4 cooks) were wearing one. From all cooks, only one was wearing gloves so you can imagine how the breads were handled. While not being a very sanitary place, and between the Covid guidelines and bad service, this place is not recommended.

I was happy to find this place. I ordered a foot long hotdog with many toppings, my husband ordered a double cheeseburger, and my sister-in-law ordered a turkey club. We found everything to be delicious, filling, and much cheaper than a lot of the other food in town. Not as crowded as the other places either. Will probably go back for lunch when I'm back in town.

food is mid the shrimp basket could be better the shrimp could be more crispier, the fries are good could add seasoning, overall 4.5/10

My family and I went and ordered the Philly cheesesteak, cheeseburger&, the wings and everything was incredible. The wait staff were so nice we even got to take break with one of the cooks and he was very nice and informative about the area so was the cashier. Would definitely recommend eating here.

So I'm about a month behind on posting this. I visited when I was in the area on July 23rd. Stopped in, was looking at the menu, went to order and was told kitchen was closed but were still serving drinks. Good thing there are plenty of other options in the area.

Very good place to grab some lunch. I'm a local that works in Gatlinburg so it's very easy to stop by on break. Plus they give a pretty decent local discount. Would definently recommend!

Such a great stop while in Gatlinburg! Probably some of the best food I've had in awhile at this little joint with great service!

Don't pass this place up. It is a small location but we walked in with a family of 12 and they quickly whipped up our food and it was delicious. Chicken wings, chicken sandwiches, nachos, loaded tatter tots, fried Oreo, etc. The staff was very friendly and it was clean.

Doesn't look like much but the food is good, staff was courteous, not dressed the most professional but I truly didn't care, I was hungry and was only interested in the food

This place may not look like much, but man is the food good. The Philly cheesesteak is one of the best I'd ever had, even wanted to get a second one. My kids said they ate the best hotdog they had ever had as well. The food is great and the prices are fair. Definitely worth checking out if your looking for a quick meal on the cheap while spending time on the Gatlinburg Strip. Enjoy!

Great friendly service. Good value as we got 12 wings and could split sauces. Not a ton of seating available but we got one of the tables during a rain shower.

We stumbled on this place late evening, around 8 pm. We were trying to decide on what we wanted, without having a long wait, walk, or to deal with a lot of people. The menu is a bit limited, but everything was amazing. Husband had some chicken tenders, potato wedges and a corn dog. Everything was enormous and tasty. I had a burger and hand cut fries. Also fantastic. Nothing fancy about the place, prices were a tad high ($7.99 for a burger with no side), but overall it was hot, fast, and DELICIOUS.

$55 for 3 hot dog combos, a cheesesteak and fried pickles....food was good. Fried pickles were delicious. Like the batter they use. But prices were a bit steep for simple street food. A disgruntled customer came in while we were eating and she complained they didn't give her part of her order from the night before but charged her. They wouldn't give her a refund but offered to make her the missing food. Just an fyi.

The food was delicious!!! Definitely do yourself a favor and get the chicken! The service was fast and the price was fair for the portion size. We fed 5 people for $60 so I can't complain at all! Some of the best chicken I've ever ate!!!

Forgot about our order so we had to wait 25 minutes... really expensive for such a small amount of food too. Inside had lots of bugs.

The food was great and fast service. And serving Nathan's hot dogs. Quaint little place. 100 feet off parkway.

Maybe it was because we went to the Chicken Hut to get cheeseburgers that was the problem. But $30 for mediocre burgers for 2 people....ugh.

Awesome service... fresh food! Locally owned.... Was pleased with the food and service... Place was clean and simple cooked to order!

My husband and I tried this place for something different, chick sandwich was ok, but the fries were to salty to eat and the pepsi was the worst drink.The employees rushed you and did not listen to what you wanted.
