The Best Underrated Foods at the Minnesota State Fair | Eater Twin Cities

"I love the simplicity of the pickle dog: a take on Minnesota sushi (ham-and-pickle roll-ups) but elevated by substituting thick-cut, quality pastrami for the typical lunch-meat ham, which makes the dish truly great." - Justine Jones

Food is almost always outstanding! Atmosphere is fun. We love coming for the UFC fights. Suggestion: Ya'll have to take that new roasted carrots side off your menu or change it. First time I've had food here I really didn't like. I gave it 3 bites and couldn't eat the rest. The carrots were bitter, unevenly cooked, and seemed old and that lemon yogurt shouldn't go with it. Maybe try a honey butter roasted carrots instead with some black pepper and salt and evenly cook the carrots. Also it'd be nice if more often than not my food would come out hot and not warm, almost cool...

Overall: Okay! Some of the food was super good, some was super mid, and some was alright. The deviled eggs, super mid! Really bland unfortunately, I tasted jalapeño over everything else. The Smoked Wings with buffalo, super good! The sauce was super yummy and the chicken was good as well. The ranch that came with these was also super yummy. The Chicken and Waffles, chicken was yummy, juicy, well seasoned. Waffles... super super super sweet... like way too sweet, like... felt like I was eating icing sweet. The Pickled Chicken, Mid. No notes. The Street Style Table Fries, good but I wish they had more toppings. I ate the first layer and all the fries after that were bare. The staff was kind and attentive, and noticed when I said everything was "alright". They made me laugh, and I like that.

I am from out of state and came here for a happy hour before a conference. I had never experienced anything like this before. Food and drinks were good but the fun games, pickleball and atmosphere were unique and energetic. The staff paired attention to our group. We could sit at tables and talk, or play yard games or pickleball. It was great team building. It wasn’t too loud or young (I am in my 50s and had a blast.). If we had something like this where I live, I know my adult children would hang out here.

I suppose it would be a great environment to host a large gathering or if you have a large group. This is not a “sit down” type of restaurant to bring a family if you’re just looking to eat. The food is moderately priced (weirdly put almonds on my sister’s Caesar salad) everything was à la carte. The wait was really long just to order and we felt very rushed. Definitely had more people in line than they did tables. It’s very loud and a little overwhelming / overstimulating. There were pretty much people standing waiting for you to be done so they can take your table.

Andrew the GM stopped and talked to us to see how our meal was. He showed us different games that entertained the girls! They loved the new soccer game! He went out of his way (on hottest day of summer) and surprise us with 3 dole whips on our last week together of summer. They also got temperature changing spoons that we took home and they are obsessed with! What a treat 100% recommend this restaurant! If you go make sure you run into Andrew!

We hosted our gender reveal at Chicken N Pickle and it was perfect from start to finish! I called a month ahead and spoke with Wyatt, the event sales rep. He was amazing—professional, kind, and really listened to our ideas, goals, and budget. He helped us bring everything together quickly and stress-free. The Fireside Room was beautiful with the perfect ambiance for our group of 15. Cozy, stylish, and just right. Our server Olivia (aka “Liv”) was incredible! She had the most beautiful personality and energy, and she went above and beyond to anticipate our needs. Truly a gem. The entire staff was so friendly, even taking the time to teach us pickleball! We had such a great time that we shared our cake pops with them. This was one of the best hosting experiences we’ve ever had—and we already can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Chicken N Pickle, for making such a special day absolutely unforgettable!

My company held an Employee appreciation outing here. The good was delicious and the inside space was comfortable. Servers were friendly and helpful; always on hand to fill drink orders and take away plates. Had a good time on the pickleball courts as well.

Google
We had a party of 10+ people. We sat down, ordered our food, then right when we got our food they told us we had 45 minutes to eat because someone reserved the area we were sitting in. The food was good in my opinion. But that wasn’t the best experience I’ve had here. Next time, if there is a next time, I think parties should be notified about reserved spaces before ordering food. Thank you to the manager for bringing us ice cream to cool off.

Yelp
Sooo if you think you're just going to eat and play games of Pickle Ball well think again! Winter wonderland in full effect with a Holiday Hideaway Pop-up Bar up on the rooftop, an ice rink and two igloos for socializing.. and there's fire pits along with indoor pickle ball! I still haven't played pickle ball but next time! This is a very spacious facility.. you couldn't feel too crowded or find a spot if your own! Inside the coop is plenty of seating and corners or benches to handle large groups or company gatherings! My drinks : Espresso Martini & Rum Forrest Rum were scrumptious.. potent and flavored as described! I ordered the NKC Hot Chicken with fries. The sandwich had flavor but not at all spicy. All the waitstaff and GM are friendly, joyful and helpful. We chatted about things to come at CNP. Andrew has good business sense and very customer oriented! The fact that he noticed me admiring the place and promptly greeted me is very personable! He was in fact hanging out at the order pickup helping with orders. My friend and I grabbed a couple of seats at the bar and in more than one instance we were acknowledged to see if we were helped. Ultimately it was Nick who grabbed my friend's drink order and thoughtfully brought us both water! I surely was about to ask. Like it mentions.. Good food. Good friends. Great fun! There's plenty of Good vibes!

Yelp
I'm going to keep making bad reviews until yall do something about this because it's absolutely RIDICULOUS. again, we love chicken n pickle and come here often but this is now the 4TH TIME (I've only made a review about 1 time) where Ive needed to use the family restroom because I have multiple kids and I end up waiting 5+ minutes only for an employee to come out. THOSE BATHROOMS ARE MEANT FOR PEOPLE WITH CHILDREN WHO NEED THE EXTRA SPACE AND PRIVACY. This time it was a young man and when I entered after him it reeked of vape smoke and was slightly foggy. Love that I had to take my infant in there after that. I would've gone to a manager about it but I've waited for this bathroom before and had the same manager come out after 10 minutes so... I don't know what I need to do to get this resolved but I guess I'll just keep making bad reviews.

Yelp
The Holiday Hideaway at Chicken N Pickle was fun primarily because I was with a good group of people. I think the atmosphere and decor are overhyped. A lot of the seating for groups is on tired mismatched old couches and miscellaneous chairs, some of which aren't comfortable at all. It's not really conducive to conversation because the tables between the row of seats put you fairly far from your companions, and make it difficult to get into comfortable groupings. The specialty holiday drinks are $14-$15 each, with enticing descriptions if you can read the tiny type! The food menu has interesting items...I enjoyed the Wagyu burger. The too-small wait staff really hustled to keep up with everyone, and did well despite the crowded conditions they had to navigate. But considering the $10 per person 'cover charge" to reserve seating, and how far I had to park away from the building,,I would definitely pass on this pop-up next time.

Yelp
Came bye fir brunch, got the junk yard Burrito 5/5 great portion sizes and full of flavor, French toast had good flavor but a little soggy 3.5/5 And the egg white wrap which was good but needed some salsa, server never brought it together but we stopped another one to get us together. If you have never been you should stop by.

Yelp
I have been coming to this location since it has opened. I really love how much outdoor space there is and all of the yard game options. This can be a great place to bring groups just to have fun playing games and sharing a few appetizers. Playing Pickleball here is expensive though but, knowing how full the free courts can get, it's a good option to guarantee play time at a certain times. We have done a few of the beginner classes and those were fun as well. I have enjoyed almost all of the food items here. (The Seasonal Harvest was not my favorite). I really like the chorizo cheese dip (you will most likely need to ask for more chips though as they now only give a small plate of chips with the dip). This is a fun location to watch Chiefs games - plenty of TVs and we have never had a problem finding a spot to sit. Ordering can be a little confusing the first time you go. You order food at the counter and you can order alcoholic drinks at the bar or through a server that will occasionally stop at your table. The servers do not order food though. We will continue to return!

Yelp
Delicious food and drinks. Service was attentive and the atmosphere is so festive. Sydney did an excellent job taking care of our large group that was challenging at times. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Went there on Super Bowl Sunday morning after a 5k. We all had the breakfast/brunch buffet. It was ok. It was difficult to tell if it was ready or not. We didn't really have anyone to help us with drinks or explain the buffet. The food was lukewarm at best. Again I don't know if the fires were on below the food to keep it warm. It seemed as though Super Bowl preparations were a little more important than us eating at 10:30 am. I will be back as I like this place. Just maybe not for the Sunday brunch buffet.
google avatar

Yelp
I will say, for date night this can get extremely expensive. But since I am always looking for ways to have a cheap but exciting date night, I hav found a way to enjoy this place but save some money! Instead of playing pickleball with only two people, we like to play bocce ball because it's $10 for a whole hour for two people! Super cheap! Plus, you can stay around the place and play pong, watch tv, or play huge jenga! I cannot speak on the pickleball because we usually don't play due to the prices. The staff has always been super generous and get the bocce stuff to us quickly! The food is pretty typical food but also on the pricey side so we like to get an appetizer to share.

Yelp
Great place to have some fun playing games outside. Nice food options and variety drink options. Great way to enjoy some summer vibes.

Curtis V.

Yelp
Management and overall experience poor at this location. Despite renting 2 courts for an hour, staff was pushing next group onto our reserved tables 15 minutes early. Did not get to enjoy the space we paid for. Poorly managed.

Stacy F.

Yelp
Service is always so friendly and attentive. Even when you are on the courts, they come around and ask if you need anything! Never push and always so nice. Haven't eaten there too much but the quesadilla was amazing!
google avatar

Rex C.

Yelp
What a great spot! You can come and eat and also play pickleball. The food was great! The coleslaw was so spicy. So was the chicken and pulled Pork. Every single thing on their menu had spice but it was amazing. I didn't get a chance to play pickleball but I will next time. The rooftop views are amazing. The customer service was great. Great for kids and people of all ages.

Yelp
Favorite place of all time. Very unique menu and so TASTY!!! Fun place for family or friends. My favorite is the pickled chicken and street corn!!! I wish they still had the brussel sprouts but they always replace with something just as good.

Yelp
So much fun and juicy amazing chicken! Fries are great too! Here's Julio warming up.

Yelp
I've been here multiple times and glad they opened up this location since it's closer than the northland for me. The facility is very nice and clean. You can tell it is maintained regularly. The inside has a large space as well as a large private dining space. The bar is placed in the center and the ordering counter is by the kitchen so you can see the rotating chicken. We have booked courts here several times and it has been really easy. You do have to book ahead of you want to reserve it because it fills up so quickly. They didn't get our order right the most recent time but overall they are pretty good about it. I remember the food being better but it was still above average. Overall I enjoy this space and will keep coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
I've come for several happy hour events and the atmosphere is fun with plenty of room to spread out. The noise and music is consistently too loud though...to the point where I always feel a little relieved when I exit. The cocktail menu is intriguing and the bar staff is attentive and quick to serve and also to help you checkout. Today I had a lunch special for $12.99 that included a pulled pork sandwich with my choice of side -hello sweet potato fries -and a drink. The portion was good and it was served hot. there was a decent quantity of pork and it was juicy without having too much fat. Not too saucy and the coleslaw was cold and crisp and also not overdressed.

Yelp
Stopped on our way back and wanted to check this place out! Heard great things and it definitely was a fun place. The staff was friendly and helpful, food was yummy and the overall atmosphere was fun. We didn't get a chance to play pickleball but I'd love to go back with friends for a fun night out

Yelp
My wife ordered the Wild Berrita mocktail during our visit to Chicken N Pickle, and it stole the show. Visually stunning with a fresh rosemary sprig perched on top with a lime slice, the drink delivered a sharp herbal bite that balanced perfectly with the subtle sweetness of agave nectar. I took a sip out of curiosity and was genuinely impressed -- refreshing, layered, and thoughtfully crafted. We were so taken by it, we snapped a photo of the ingredients to recreate it at home. A must-try for anyone skipping alcohol but still craving something elevated and flavorful.
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
We were passing through and wanted to stop and see what it was all about. We had lunch at the chicken coop but it was too hot for anything else. Looks like a super fun place to be when the weather is nice though. The place is huge. We were greeted by a host and explained how everything worked; pretty confusing. We ordered our food but had to order drinks elsewhere while opening a tab we weren't sure how to close out. Quesadilla and burger were good but I wouldn't go out of my way again to eat there. Would love to co back another time to watch/play.

Yelp
Great fun at Tuesday night trivia. Food is always good (though rotisserie chicken was dry) . Service is always very good if you go in with the right expectations. Absolutely everyone is friendly and accommodating. The trivia host was exceptional!

La Tortuga P.

Yelp
We went tonight and had a bad overall experience. In our group we had someone receive a plastic lid in the middle of their food hidden within the sauce and toppings. He wasn't offered a comped meal or any sort of discount but it was replaced. Another person in our party was being served their food and the server grabbed the top of the bun and took it off the sandwich to check! Just insane! Me, my dad and cousin waited 40 minutes for beers which never came. We even asked the waitress after 20 minutes and she said "the bar is busy". We had to get her to take the drinks off the bill after and she never apologized for that at all, never took responsibility. All this for just slightly above average bar food.
google avatar

Jeff David G.

Yelp
So much more than just a good restaurant! It's not a cheap outing, but you can treat Chicken N Pickle as an entire experience whose food is better than you'd expect for a place like this. They have tons of games and other activities including, but certainly not limited just to pickleball. The staff have always been helpful and fast to bring whatever the guests need - whether that is pickleball equipment, fun drinks, or any of their delicious food items. This place is gigantic so different areas have different vibes depending on how you're feeling. Indoor, outdoor, bar, restaurant, and a huge pickleball area are the staples but there are rotating outdoor activities such as an ice skating rink in the winter time and things of that sort. For lunch, I always get the rotisserie chicken. You can get the meat with one of a few different rubs and they've all been excellent. The chicken is always succulent and the perfect star of this dish. Paired with a simply homemade tortilla, a grilled Serrano for some heat, and fresh avocado for some luxury, this plate is a great thing to order. Others enjoyed their meals as well. It's in a nice area and Chicken N Pickle really has a lot to offer, just a touch expensive to go too often.

Yelp
Wings were good. Service was great. We went during a football season. I have to say it's a great place to watch a football game for sure. Highly recommend if you're in the KC area.

Yelp
We recently went to a birthday party here for a friend. They had reserved a spot and had some catering. Most of them have children so this was a great option for families. I visited the little summer tiki bar. You can also order non tiki drinks. They have plenty of seltzers, domestics, and well drinks. I don't have kids and there were plenty of young one's running around and noise and what not. So I asked the bartender for the strongest drink they have. He suggested the tropical margarita. It was good, fruity, very sweet and boozy. The addition of a shot of Patron definitely helped lol. They do put boba on the top which I like but it was unexpected so if you're not a boba fan, beware. The catering consisted of chips, a couple queso type dips, tater tots, chicken, burger, and pulled pork sliders. I don't really want to base my impression on the food based on this visit because it was pretty average at best. The chicken slider was dry. The burger sliders were meh. Tots are tots. I think I'd rather go back, order an actual meal and then form my opinion on that piece from there. I will say there was a couple issues around the food. The little catering burners they used went out and were never relit. It was a hot as hell day so the food kept but that could have been a food poisoning issue had things sat for too long. The second is that there were leftovers that the staff refused to give boxes for to the individual hosting the party and who paid for the food. The explanation is that catering is different. Why that is...no idea because I'm pretty sure any leftovers would have gone to the trash because you can't reserve any of that. So that policy is pretty sucky and just doesn't make sense to me. We were able to find some makeshift containers and we packed it up anyway. There's plenty of games and room to run so it's great for kids. The pickle ball courts are nice and inside a little building with additional seating. They also have lawn games like bocce ball, bags, and shuffleboard. If they had a 21+ night, I'd be game to go back. It's perfect for families so definitely check it out if you want a fun family activity.

Yelp
Very good place always love talking to the staff there great community and all around good buisness.

Natalie J.

Yelp
Great service and experience for our family! Thanks to Zamar and the entire staff for making our experience great. We will be back! From my 9 year old: He was amazing! He was so nice and very talkative. It was an amazing experience.

Larry S.

Yelp
Great place to play and food is excellent Fantastic rewards as well Cool air conditioning great lighting on courts

Yelp
Came here from out of town with a couple hours to kill and this was the perfect spot for it! Great weather so we played cornhole--lots of games were taken but we had our choice of 2-3 despite coming on a busy Saturday afternoon. Service was easy, ordered drinks and food from a different spot and exchanged an ID for the corn hole bean bags. Great spot and the fried pickles were the best I've ever tried! Amazing flavor and texture. Sweet potato fries were surprisingly good as well as I usually don't like either of these items! Will definitely be back if I'm in the area again!
google avatar

Fiona Z.

Yelp
It's hard to get an indoor court for a weeknight in the winter, but I managed. They're good at making sure people stay within the time limit they've booked, which I appreciate. I found the rules a little confusing so I just had fun hitting it back and forth. Tried their elote mac and cheese ($7.49) which was somehow really salty yet devoid of flavor-- fantastically creamy, though! I'd recommend eating at the restaurant beforehand or coming with a larger group, because although you can order food and drink while renting a court, if you don't have enough people your playtime just goes to waste while you sit and eat.
google avatar

Amanda T.

Yelp
This is my brunch review: My husband and daughter ordered the chicken waffles. The chicken was good but the waffles were really flavorless/bland. I ordered the avocado toast with jalapeños. I really enjoyed mine but one small slice was not enough. They should add another slice of toast. Also enjoyed the mimosas. Will be back!
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
Chicken n Pickle is definitely the new hot spot for company dinners and hangouts of all sorts with pickle ball courts and other fun activities scattered about their restaurant grounds. Food, on the other hand, was not quite on par with all the hype. The chicken sandwich was much too dry and way too salty to have any good lasting impression. We love ourselves a good chicken sando, and unfortunately, this one just did not hit the mark.
google avatar

Molly B.

Yelp
CNP is the ultimate family fun spot! You can enjoy delicious food and drinks (10/10 recommend the Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade), photo spots, pickleball courts, yard games, and more TVs than you could ever need to watch sports with all your friends and family. Our family loves to play a game of pickleball while enjoying snacks and drinks, and this is one of our favorite places to take out of town guests.
google avatar

Abby P.

Yelp
What's not to love about CNP? I've been visiting the Northland location for years but very recently I was introduced to the newer OP location and I've gone no less than 5 times since! This place is nothing short of a compound! CNP really takes yard games to a whole new level and is obviously the go-to place for pickleball fanatics! On the food, their chicken sandwiches are next level. Drinks are great and staff is so kind. They're also well known for their philanthropy which is an added bonus when supporting them. One of my favorite experiences at CNP was taking a visit to their holiday pop-up bar, Snowbound. I think the best compliment I could give is in saying that of all of the KC pop up bars (and there are MANY) it was absolutely my favorite. Stepping foot in Snowbound felt exactly like stepping into a ski lodge in Colorado. The decorations were nothing short of perfect and I could have stayed there all night. The drinks were adorable and even interactive at times! The drink that I got had me pour it from an ornament into the glass! My mom's was a beautiful little peppermint martini that was perfect for the season. I even took a little ski shoe shot of fireball mixed with Rumchata. Adorable all around. If you have to pick only one pop-up bar next holiday season, this is the one to do. Trust me!
google avatar

Vi G.

Yelp
First time pickleball with MIL and her coworker. It was absolutely fun and def something I'd want to do again! Food was good not great. I had a Bloody Mary and that thing was spicy as hell. Either I'm getting old or these people are free handing the spice in these things. I was coughing while I was trying to drink the Bloody Mary! It was good but def a struggle to even finish. MIL also said it was extremely spicy. Def would come back with friends for pickleball & drinks! Love the set up, very family friendly. Great options for outdoor games. Tons of areas to lounge it.
google avatar

Christina P.

Yelp
There are a lot of pop-up holiday bars in the Kansas City area these days but I have to say that I enjoyed Chicken N Pickle's "Snowbound" more than most! You will need a reservation to enter the upstairs space which transports you to a "Merry Ski Lodge" complete with plaid sofas, cozy seating areas, holiday decorations, and clever seasonal drinks. You may even catch a glimpse of Bigfoot walking around! The drink selection is fun and unique, including both cool and warm choices. We tried the Fogged Googles (a twist on a chocolate martini) and the Tis the Skison (a fruity, interactive little gift). Both were delicious and cleverly presented. They have a few small bites available such as spinach dip and meatballs but you can also order off the regular menu. We tried the Pickled Chicken Sandwich which was very tasty. Once we entered the space, we really didn't want to leave. It's very festive and creative. A holiday pop-up must!

Yelp
Twenty ppl for workout event. FUEL event buffet mediocre, but I purchased the goat cheese mash. My tastebuds danced! ATMOSPHERE outdoor pickleball court, structure covered our game from Midwestern summer sun. SERVICE Sophie was exceptional running around the courts & crowds. She had a great sincere smile too. First time pickleball life. Unsure if I'd do it again but I highly recommend you experience it at least once.
google avatar

Jaci S.

Yelp
So incredibly fun! The husband and I spent the majority of the day here - renting a court for 2 hours & were waited on hand & foot. Family friendly with kiddos running around with plenty of things to do. We were able to secure an outdoor pickle ball court & they volunteered to walk us through what to do if necessary. We ended up indoors to grab food, the interior was beautiful & large. The bartenders were incredibly kind & allowed us to test beer before purchasing. Drinks were amazing & the food was delicious. Maybe a kid at heart, but I loved playing battle ship on a large board. You'll need an ID to exchange for the pieces, but, it easily had us the coolest big kids on the court & we had many young onlookers very invested! Loved the entire day! **TIP: They do NOT take ApplePay.

Dan A.

Yelp
Disaster of an experience. Service was absolutely terrible. We saw our actual server ONCE and he never came again. He was clearly untrained and should not be in customer service. We had to beg servers to stop at our table for help. Took 30 mins for drinks to arrive. Low quality food that they pretend is elevated and charge way too much for. $15 burger was burnt to a crisp and smaller than a cheap fast food burger. When food finally came it was all cold and nearly inedible. Bathrooms were filthy, urinal cakes on the floor. Will never go back.
google avatar

Megan M.

Yelp
I ordered the pickled chicken sandwich which was 10/10! And I don't like avocado. My companions had burgers and were under whelmed but they said it was good enough. The child got the chicken fingers and ranch and they were exactly as he wanted. I don't know how I feel about having to go up and order my food since a waitress comes to the table and takes the drink order. She can't take the food order too? The server also seemed very confused about what drinks they carried. The location was busy as it's in the middle of a pickleball court and an outdoor ice rink. They also have a full service bar. I'd return.
google avatar

Natalie V.

Yelp
First time here.Super disappointed! Bartender was super rude. Don't think it had anything to with us- she walked around the bar slamming glasses down, slamming doors on service station. Was super short with taking our order. When ordering our food, service person had no clue on what the main ingredients were in the dishes we asked about. Upon further requests, he reluctantly asked someone in the kitchen. Our order was doubled, which we did not request, delivering person seemed very confused and was insistent we take the food, we did not. Overall, staff were unfriendly, unhelpful and rude.

Yelp
This new location is HUGE! Who doesn't love pickle-ball? Just make sure to book especially for a weekend 2 weeks ahead. Food: I truly love that the food here is legit good! Like not just something they through at you while they focus on the other moving parts of their business. I got the wings & tots and they did not disappoint. The people with me went a different route and got salad, salmon bowl, etc and they looked so good! Fresh and bright! Facility: There is just so much to do here beyond pickle ball. Cornhole, connect 4, Jenga, and more! They have a lot seating throughout the whole place. Indoor, outdoor, and rooftop ! This is a place for EVERYBODY! Adults, kids, teens, the whole group !
google avatar

Yelp
Food exceeds my expectations. Good service. Friendly too. 2 hour court time is a little too much for me. Good and fun experience and environment. Definitely good for family.

Yelp
Cool spot in Overland Park! We're staying on the strip of hotels and it wasn't a far drive to get there. It was a poppin' Sunday night and it was very busy. We got in line to order our food, and it wasn't overly pricey, and we got a good portion of food. We opted to sit outside and then we had a server taking care of our orders. It's an interesting concept to have multiple people wait on you, but pretty efficient. I got the pulled pork sandwich and I didn't really care for it, as it tasted overly smokey, which isn't my thing. I tried the jalapeno marg and that was great. We only played with the jenga blocks because we couldn't find any bags for the cornhole. Overall, from food, to drink, to some acitivies it would be a great spot for a date, a big group, and even for a work outing. The rooftop must have been hosting some sort of dance party because we saw quite a few people dressed for the club enter throughout the night. I would definitely come back for something like that.

Yelp
Great adult play and party recreation facilities! The rotisserie chicken is delicious and they have all sorts of bowls, salads, wraps and libations! There's pickleball and cornhole and other games for old and young alike, Take the whole family!

Yelp
Chicken N Pickle is unlike anything I've seen before. This place is massive with outdoor/indoor pickle ball and shuffleboards. Not only is the space cool, but the food is impressive too. I ordered the chipotle chicken bowl and it was incredibly tasty. The street corn was delicious as well. Next time, I'm sure we'll make more use of the fun game spaces Chicken N Pickle has. I highly recommend going here with friends and making a night of it!

Yelp
This place is cool, but it might be too cool if you know what I mean. They've got it all figured out, don't they...big man on the town! I feel like when I'm here that I'm being taken advantage of by very wealthy money monsters. "Oh, sir, does baby like spritz fans? Here baby, a fan with water." "Does baby like games! Here baby, free games everywhere!" "Ice skating? Pickleball? No Baby! That's monies!" Ooh, and that's how they get ya' - and boy do they get ya.' This place is what the entire world will look like when A.I. takes over: Just one big playground for man babies with pockets filled with cash; excellent wood-fired chickens on every table. I don't know how they're doing it, but if you walk in, and sit down, you will leave without $80 you had in your pocket. I was sitting for free, watching my kid ice skate, and then all of a sudden girl scouts showed up...$80 in cookies, and that's all she wrote. Cold, baby? Here, let me turn on the complementary fire ring. Maybe I'm a hater, they're definitely killing it. But it does seem like it's too good, doesn't it? Too nice? Too clean and supportive. For some reason I feel like I'm at Caesar's palace and this damned lady keeps bringing me free drinks... My kid thinks pickleball is a game where you play with a pickle, and in the end you get to eat it...Pickle it up I guess.

Yelp
We went here to eat and play games. The food here was very good. I got the chicken salad and my boyfriend got the burger with the tator tots and chicken that was a special for the day. It was higher than my expectations. We also play pickle ball and ping pong. We had so much fun! I can't wait to be back. This is the perfect place for a fun night out with friends and family.

Yelp
I'm really sad to "downgrade" this place but the corporate feel of this place and the operations have changed. I live in the area and have supported pickleball since the opening but now find the courts are being reserved for big events and no longer for us community pb players. Now without being able to play much or take lessons from my favorite pros I have to endure the be loud "music" that gets blasted outside and carries over to where people actually live. Very disappointing and this is the opposite of building community. It just brings in people who don't live here for a one time event with little to no repeat customers. The workers are having to do less classes and customer interaction and more cleaning and setting up. Too bad. The one thing that has not changed is the food; still plenty of healthy options.

Yelp
So my review is in regards to hosting a charity event in one of the private rooms. I reached out to the event team inquiring about hosting a charity bingo event, and Maxx with their team got back to me immediately. He scheduled a zoom call with us, and went over everything in amazing detail, never hesitating to get back to us quickly with answers to any questions we had. Maxx and the team made the planning so incredibly easy. They were beyond friendly and accommodating. The ease of it all helped us crush our fundraising goal! The location is clean, large, and has really cool decor. Highly recommend reaching out to this location if you are planning any kind of event!
