This is the place to go if you are a chicken salad connoisseur (or just an overall fan). If you’re looking for a simple generally healthier option, chicken salad chick is the place for you. They have various flavors, all the meals come with a pickle and little sugar cookie. Everything was fresh and tasted perfect. Service was patient and accommodating, they even offer samples. The ambiance is clean, cute, and charming. Good place to get some work done while having lunch.

I drove one hour to get me some chicken salad! This is the only spot in Illinois. I tried the Maui Mama seasonal special. It was savory even though it had pineapple. I also had the Olivia Old South and it was fantastic. I had the grapes as my side and they are so good. I brought home a side salad, some Fruity Fran and a slice of the white chocolate cake. I will definitely be back next month!

Ordered the chicken salad BLT (Olivia's Old South) with a side scoop of Sassy Scotty and their grape salad, which was crazy good. Everything tasted amazing and the sugar cookies that come with the meal are some of the best I've ever had. 10/10, so good that I only got a picture of the grape salad because I ate everything else so fast 😂 I will definitely be trying the other flavors sometime!

Love, love, love this place! Food is so good and so fresh. Cookies are the best! Staff is friendly, place is clean. I drive 45 minutes to get to this location because it's the closest one to me. Love that they have little bowls of chicken salad that you can take with you.. and sides too. Highly recommend!

This was a great match for the type of lunch meeting I was looking for. I wanted a quiet atmosphere with quality food at a reasonable price. I wasn't as concerned with the speed of service, but my order was placed quickly and the food was available within minutes. The restroom was clean, there was plenty of parking, it was easily accessed from the street. I would definitely recommend Chicken Salad Chick whether you are dining in or taking home for a quick meal.

My wife and I drove about 45 minutes the other day to try this place. It was recommended to us by a friend. We both loved it! The place is very cute and the staff was very friendly! Celine helped us pick our meals and she was super helpful and patient since it was our first time there! Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. We took lots of goodies home & we can’t wait to make another trip!

I drove from Downers Grove just to try the different styles of chicken salad and I wasn't disappointed. The sandwiches are put on delicious bread & the chicken salads that we tried were fabulous. The best broccoli salad that's so different. Their sides are like no other and they are coming to Glenn Ellen so I'm very happy 😊 it will be closer. The service was a ten.

Love it!!! The restaurant is so cute and I so love chicken salad. The staff are so helpful and polite. They brought our food out to us and took our tray when we were done. The food was good. Toasted wheat bread on the Cranberry Kelli sandwich was a nice touch. My husband and I shared the trio meal since I just got my tonsils out, I couldn't eat a full meal. Pasta salad is good. They give you a little cookie with the trio meal. It was worth it. The atmosphere is cute and welcoming. I will definitely come back.

Staff were very friendly upon entering the place. You are able to try any of the chicken salads before buying. If you don't like chicken salad, I wouldn't recommend this place as that's primarily what they have. You can get a scoop on its own with a side, made as a sandwich with a side or a scoop on a salad with dressing. I tried the Lauryn's and Classic Carol and preferred Lauryn's. It has basil and lemon in it. I had it on the salad. They had a handful of dressing options but I tried the house poppyseed. It was good. Everyone re wives a small two bite cookie with their meal and a pickle. There is plenty of seating with a bright atmosphere. I liked it but not sure I would go out of my way to go again.

First trip here and it was fabulous! So cute inside, tablecloths even! I was allowed to sample the flavors of chicken salad and they were delicious! I ordered the fruit chicken salad, a side of the grapes and bowl of the potato soup. Everything was fabulous. The lady who took my order was extremely helpful as I needed help navigating the menu. Totally will return to try more flavors!!

First came across this place in Florida, and loved it, so was excited to see there was one location in Illinois. (45 minute drive, but well worth the drive!) This restaurant basically sells chicken salad...and not much else....so if you're not a chicken salad fan, stop here! LOL They have a bunch of different flavors like regular, buffalo, cheddar/ranch/bacon, onion, fruity flavors (grapes, cranberries, etc). Trust me--there's a flavor for everyone! Basically, you get the chicken salad of your choice on a salad, a sandwich, or in a scoop. Then add a side (fruit/broccoli salad/ mac and cheese/chips/soup) We both had the Dixie Chick (traditional chicken salad with onions) --one on white toast, the other as a BLT. Yummmmm Fresh fruit was a generous portion of strawberries and grapes. Mac and cheese was delicious! Hot and creamy! Might be the best Mac and cheese I've ever had! Meals include a yummy frosted sugar cookie. Great counter service. Friendly! Clean as clean can be place! Definitely a winner!

I bought some chicken salad to go in the drive up lane. Both were pretty good. I'd like to come back and dine inside next time.

Chicken Salad Chick is a staple for us! Great Chicken Salad sandwiches with a large variety of flavors. The free lemon cookie that comes with it is our favorite! The fresh sides are also really yummy. I love the grape salad and my partner prefers the mac and cheese. Perfect place for an early quick lunch with friendly and attentive staff. The ambiance is clean and simple, nothing over the top - however we prefer to take ours to go and enjoy them on the way to our next adventure. I'd recommend CSC to anyone, I just wish I lived closer!

This place is very different but I like the concept. The place is very nice inside and the service was great. I tried the Classic Carol and it was absolutely delicious. The servings were pretty big. Soup Excellent but I wasn't a fan of the Pimento, but that's just my personal opinion. This is the place to go if you want something different and a healthier alternative.

I'm a fan! I've been curious for a long time!!! I finally pulled the trigger today, and I am already writing a review. I ordered the Dixie Chick on toasted wheat with tomato and lettuce and a side of broccoli salad. The bread was awesome! There was a lot of it, so I ate the second half of the sandwich open faced with only one piece. I liked it that way too. I'm definitely glad I got the lettuce and tomato, it really gave the sandwich texture. The Dixie Chick is the onion flavor, it's very subtle. I could us more, but I may be unique. I really liked the broccoli salad as well. The bacon and cheese topping was the perfect amount. I would like a little bit more of the sauce, but the overall message from the restaurant is that of health, so I understand. Great experience! I will be back, and I will try a different flavor each time I go.

Their chicken salads are made fresh from scratch every day. Friendly staff and they have a drive-thru. If you like spicy, try the Kickin' Kaye Lynn Bacon Cheddar Melt. Their regular Melt sandwiches are also delicious! Love this place.

This place is amazing! I've had the food 3 times within the last two weeks. So far I've tried classic carol, jalapeño holly, kickin kay lynne and fancy nancy. The chick combo is a really great meal deal and you can add any sides. The cookie is a plus and the perfect size. There is so much flavor! I haven't gone inside yet but the drive thru service is quick and easy. Staff are friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant! Hoping to try all the flavors soon! Love this concept for chicken salad!

Heard about this from a coworker. Me and my coworkers were intrigued by a restaurant that serves chicken salad. We decided to order for take out. Order was easy to place online, lots of menu options. We were all impressed by our yummy lunch choices. Fresh ingredients, very tasty, decent prices and generous portions. We all ordered a different meal and we were all satisfied. I also ordered the spicy pimento cheese spread and it was very good. It came with crackers. Each meal came with a choice for a side and a cookie for dessert. Will definitely be ordering from them again. They have a drive thru and a cute dining area. Pick up was easy. My order was on the shelf by the counter with my name on it.

I am happy to report that The Chicken Salad Chick lived up to my expectations. This is a huge compliment because almost a year ago I saw it featured on social media. After seeing it on social media, I developed the highest of expectations. Unfortunately, a location was not available in my area at the time. A location was available about two hours away and I was still chomping at the bit to go but then, fortunately, I heard this location close to me was opening. I love how you can chose from many different flavors of chicken salad. So far my favorites are Classic Carol, South West Señorita, Cranberry Kelli, Dixi Chick, and Sassy Scotty. Please be aware that the South West Señorita will only be available for a couple of months and then it will be rotated for another unknown flavor. I like the pimento cheese and recommend trying it, but I don't like it as much as the chicken salad. The egg salad was not to my liking. I loved the fluffy texture; however, it was bland and did not taste eggy. If chicken salad is not your thing, soup, salad, and sandwiches are available.

We stopped here not knowing how good this place is. We will be back. Had chicken dumpling soup and this spinach salad. Both great and salad so fresh. I took home a chicken salad sandwich for my husband. We could have almost shared that. Plus it came with a aide and I chose broccoli salad. We will be back!

I'm torn between 4 or 5 stars but leaning towards 5 so there. :) Really, what can one do with chicken salad but they have found a way. Our first time here and it was busy at 11:00am. Inside is nice, clean and comfortable. I had the Spicy Pimento BLT and chips. I like "spice/heat" so this was fine for me but some might find this too spicy. Nice blend of flavors and the bacon and tomato added a nice touch. Large sandwich! My wife ordered the Fancy Nancy Chick with chips on a croissant, she REALLY enjoyed it, lots of good flavor she said. Our food was brought to our table very quickly. 2 sandwiches with chips, sodas and 2 cookies, $25 plus tax...not bad. We'll be back!

First time here and it was as good as I hoped! Tries the Fancy Nancy on a croissant with a side of Cranberry Kelly. Both were fresh and not too full of mayo. They were perfect! Croissant was a little dry but forgivable. Kind people and hard workers. Very clean!

I couldn't understand how a restaurant could have so many locations around the country when they primarily base their menu on chicken salad. Now that I checked this place out, I completely understand! With so many varieties of chicken salad, you're bound to find at least one you'll love! They also have tasty soups and salads to round out the menu. Don't skip the sides! The broccoli salad is sweet and tangy and topped with bacon. I also have to mention the drinks! Great southern lemonade and the watermelon iced tea is delicious. It is a bit sweet for me. So, I mix it with unsweetened iced tea. Go support a local business (it's a franchise) and get a good meal!

So do you want chicken or chicken? Actually this place also has soups and sides to add top their varieties of chicken salad. My wife and I had some time for lunch and had wanted to try this place. First, it's very clean and quite nice inside for "counter service". Second, the staff is super nice and very helpful. They patiently explained their menu to us. They let us try a few variations of their chicken salads, and all were good. My wife got the Dill-icious on toasted wheat and a loaded baked potato soup. I got the Kickin' Kay Lynne on toasted white and a tomato bisque soup plus a side of pasta salad. The pasta salad is not your creamy type but rather a seasoned pasta salad that was very tasty. The Kickin' Kay Lynne was full of flavor and the tomato bisque was hearty. My wife also really liked her meal. Coming here is a nice break when you want to sit down somewhere nice but have limited time. It's certainly not fast food but comes out pretty quickly and everything is extremely fresh and tasty.

Food was great... I make a pretty mean chicken salad, and this was up there. I tried both styles. I add cut-up red grapes in my sweet style with eggs, so this one was almost as tasty as they used sweet pickles. The grape salad was top knotch. I see making this at home in the near future. The only downside is the lunch hour wait to order. Other than that, it's a great place. I will be back and recommend for sure.

Everything was delicious! The restaurant is very cute and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I tried their original chicken salad, broccoli salad and potato soup. All were very good. The meal came with a little wrapped and frosted sugar cookie that was a nice surprise as well. I'll definitely be back soon!

I drive 40 minutes to grab a Fancy Nancy chicken salad sandwich. I first discovered them in Texas and was excited to see one somewhat close to home. Every restaurant I've eaten at, the food has always been excellent. It's a little pricey but worth the extra expense. The grape salad is wonderful and so is the broccoli salad. A nice change of menu options.

BEST chicken salad I've ever had. It's simple and tasty. I guess a scale could be simple or complex and if tasty or not. This is simple and tasty, just good overall. Stop in and you won't regret it! Yummy food! The chicken salad with grapes and pecans was delicious

We have been waiting for the grand opening which finally happened. My daughter and I love chicken salad and went for a quick lunch. Delicious! Loved that there are multiple choices (my favorite was the one with fruit) and the broccoli salad was sweet and tasty. The staff were welcoming. Definitely will go back!

If you would've told me a year ago that we would have yet another chicken restaurant, near McKee and Randall, much less one that only serves chicken salad, I would not have believed you. But indeed, there it is and it is a refreshing change from fried chicken options up and down Randall. The premise of the restaurant is based on the chicken salad, but then some interesting versions of it including different nuts, dried fruits, cheeses, and so on. I enjoyed my 9.99 special with a sandwich containing the chicken salad of my choice, a bowl of chicken tortilla soup that was very good, a cookie and pickle. I thought it was a very good value and quite tasty. My husband had the pimento salad, which was cheese and pimento and did find it spicy to the point of being a little too spicy. I have a fairly low tolerance for spice, I tried a little nibble, and I would not be able to eat it. This they call their mildly spicy, and I would have to disagree. But all in all it was delicious and the interior has been lovingly renovated with bright colors flowers and cute booths. I will definitely stop there again, maybe not on opening weekend. It was very very busy. Good for them.

I've heard about this place for a while but never lived near a location to try them out. This location is about an hour from where I live. They earned 5 stars because of the great customer service. The cashier explained all of their salads and made some great suggestions. I had a sampling of 3 of their salads, their original, one with cranberry and almonds and a lemon basil. I thought they were good but they've definitely been hyped up, I've heard a lot of people say this was "life changing chicken salad", it's good but not that good, if you're in the area definitely stop in but I don't think it's so amazing to make a special trip.

First time trying this place and it did not disappoint. I tried three different scoops: Classic Carrol, Buffalo Barclay and Sassy Scotty and all were tasty. It came with crackers, a pickle and a little cookie . So far so yummy!

Never was a big connoisseur of chicken salad until I made my own for the first time! Love the concept of this place! There are a variety of chicken salads to choose from. Since this was my first time here, I ordered the "classic carol" which is their signature recipe. They have a couple of Traditional chicken salads, 4 savory salads, 3 fruit and nutty, and 3 spicy. The chicken salad sandwich was good. I ordered it on a croissant with lettuce. I was able to chose a side. I had the Mac and cheese. It also came with a fresh frosted sugar cookie and pickle. It was good. I would come back if I were in the area. Forgot to take a pic of my plate! Cute and clean establishment. There were samples to try at the counter. Service was very nice and helpful.

Nice dine-in experience. I had a bacon chicken salad sandwich (croissant). Lemon basil. It had a nice flavor to it. My daughter had a turkey sandwich, mac n cheese, and fruit salad. She liked her meal as well. The white chocolate cake was amazing. And the cookies were good too. For the price, I thought it was pretty good. When we're in the area again, we'll have to drop in and try some new items.

Great staff, great food, cute place. My favs are Barbie-Q and Olivia's Old South on Wheatberry bread toasted with lettuce and tomato. My boyfriend loves the Sassy Scotty. And The Mac and cheese is so creamy. Always gotta have it! Our daughter loves the Mac and cheese, the classic carol, and fresh fruit. It's also great that they have soup, they always have loaded potato and chicken poblano and then 3 others they rotate. You can tell the employees put a lot of love into the food they send out.

My wife and I were very impressed. The food was reasonably priced, staff was helpful, which came in handy since the menu is slightly confusing your first time. Would come here more often if it were closer, but will be here regularly. Highly recommended,

First time visit. Delicious! Bought the cranberry almond, lemon basil chicken salad plus a small pimento cheese.

So I've been a handful of times now, always drive thru so I can't say what the inside is like. The food is good and it's a nice change from the typical fast food, but it's just not great like drive 10 miles to get it. I'm within 2 miles so it's a good alternative. My favorites are the Cranberry Kelli and the broccoli salad and the potato soup. Least of what I've tried is the buffalo Barclay and the croissants. Plenty of options and for sides too. The cookies are good, the grape salad is good also but more dessert side. Service is a bit hit or miss. They're training all new staff so I've had the nicest, most helpful people to pretty rude and definitely unhelpful people taking my order. I've gotten orders filled perfectly and orders not quite what I asked for. I'm hoping they do well and work out the kinks because it would be a good place to go to like twice a month. I do like chicken salad, but I am starting to get tired of it already, so I can't see myself going there more than once or twice a month.

I Love chicken salad and it's just too much trouble to make it myself most of the time. Now I don't have to. When I first saw the sign, I thought "What a great idea!" But how can someone stay in business mostly just doing chicken salad. And now I know - Chicken Salad Chick makes it the way I like it! It definitely rivals the best I've had in New York City deli's. Too many places in this area add too much mayo and make a mess of it. I wish they were a little closer to me, but I get there when I can.

Stopped here today with my mom after passing it on the way to an appointment, we made it a point to stop on the way back. I was so excited to see a Chicken Salad Chick pop up in our area as I've always wanted to try it out. I have to say, I am not a chicken salad person by any means, but this is the BEST chicken salad I've ever had. I ordered the Jalapeño Holly and my mom ordered the Fancy Nancy. I never would've thought to put jalapeño in chicken salad, but now I'll never want one without it. We both got ours on the wheat bread with lettuce & tomato and also added the chicken dumpling soup was amazing. It came with a very big pickle spear and a butter cookie. The staff was extremely nice, the ambiance is super cute and the restaurant was very clean. They're also looking to expand in the surrounding suburbs by the end of the year which is very exciting news. I can't wait to go back and I truly hope this place makes it.

This restaurant was not able to open on December 13th when I anxiously attempted to go in for lunch. They explained that there was a glitch, and they won't be able to open until January 10. They gave me a very generous sample, and let me tell you, this will be a staple in my refrigerator...once they open. Hands down the best chicken salad ever. completely worth the wait!!

One of the newer and more unique ideas in the Fox Valley, thought I'd give it a try. Arrived to a completely full parking lot, always a good sign! They do have a drive up, but I wanted to go in to check the place out. First thing I noticed was 100% of the guests were women, 80% were 65-85 years old...not going to be the only guy eating amongst 60 blue hairs...I ordered on small container of standard cranberry chicken salad, probably enough for two sandwiches. $8 seems a fair price. For $10 you can have a sandwich and a side. The chicken salad was very good, finely minced, maybe even a little too much? Could have used a touch mor Mayo, but I have no problem adding it since you can't remove it and not everyone can s a Mayo fan like me. I'll be back for sure, but will have to bring my wife so I can eat inside.

I ordered the trio option which is a total of three scoops, so I picked the Classic Carol, Sassy Scotty, and tried the Spicy Pimento Cheese. For a bread choice, I opted for the crackers. Overall, everything was very good and I found I actually prefer chicken salad on a cracker, as I didn't feel so full. BTW, way too much to finish in one sitting, so had for lunch the following day.

This place is legit! The egg salad is better than mine which says a lot lol. The chicken salad is one of the best I've had. The jalapeño chicken salad is a little salty. The staff is super friendly and welcoming.

I had to wait about 45 to 50 minutes in line so be prepared for that. VERY SLOW moving lines! I tried the fruity Fran combo. Honestly, there was nothing fruity about it. It was probably the most bland chicken salad I've ever tasted. I actually could not even finish more than three bites of my sandwich, so I was very disappointed from that aspect. I also tried the grape salad, and that was phenomenal. All I have to say. Broccoli salad is decent but a little dry. I don't know what kind of soup that chicken dumpling soup was, but there was one dumpling in the entire cup of soup. It was mostly broth with some shredded chicken and very little vegetables. The broth was tasty. I just prefer more dumplings. Overall, it was nice to try it out but for as far as I had to drive, I don't think I'll be making another special trip out here. It's good for once in a blue moon. I would return, mostly for more grape salad for sure, but I'm just not going to make a special trip for it like I did today.

Went today 5/25/23 new Batavia location. I'd describe as fast food chicken salad nothing special. Ordered the "Fancy Nancy" described as having pecans and grapes? Where were they? Ground to a pulp? Soup was good but expected so much more from chicken salad!! Wont back.

I'm so excited to have a chicken salad chick in the Chicago area! It is a staple for me when I go home to Alabama. Fingers crossed they will open many more in the area hopefully southeast suburbs.. The staff was so friendly and helpful, the food, fresh and delicious as always!

Small sandwiches with outrageous prices. If you want a portion that will actually fill you up you have to pay for an extra "scoop " of chicken salad. Definitely more for women who don't like to cook and have expendable income.
