First off, the staff are friendly, professional, and very helpful! They’re patient and always ready with great suggestions. If you can’t decide, you can even sample the chicken salads. They also checked in to make sure the food was to your enjoyment. The environment is upbeat and spotless — even the bathrooms are clean! Now, on to the food! Everything is delicious 😋. The daily soups are savory and warm you right to the core. I had the Classic Carol on toasted wheat, and it did not disappoint! The prices are fair for the amount and quality of food you get. The food walls served very quickly, less than 5 minutes from ordering to get to your table! Highly recommend! Looking forward to my next visit!!

What a fantastic find! I am so impressed with the incredible variety of chicken salads at Chicken Salad Chick. As someone originally from Georgia, I appreciate a good chicken salad, and this place truly gets it right. I stopped by to pick up lunch a few weeks ago after finishing some volunteer work nearby. On my first visit, I had the Chicken Salad BLT with the Classic Carol on a croissant. It was absolutely delicious! The croissant was buttery and fresh. And, even though I do enjoy a chunky chicken salad from time to time, this chicken salad had that perfect, finely-minced consistency I grew up with and love. I also tried the Grape Salad, which was a wonderful and refreshing side with its sweet cream cheese dressing. The highlight of my visit was the outstanding service. A young man named Cam was helping me, and his enthusiasm was infectious. It was his first day, and his manager was patiently training him. We shared a laugh about both of us being "first-timers," and it made for a genuinely pleasant and welcoming experience. He did a fantastic job of explaining the different options and made great suggestions based on what I told him I like. Impressive any time, but especially on his first day on the job! I was surprised and delighted that they let me sample as many as I wanted before I ordered! My second visit, when I went to grab a couple of "Quick Chick" tubs to go, wasn't quite as positive as the first, unfortunately. The young man who helped me that day was much less engaging and not welcoming at all. Blank stare. No smile. No hello. What DEEPLY annoyed me the most is that he actually stepped away to help someone else AS I was asking a question about the different tub sizes! I'm so happy this wasn't my first experience at the store. Huge turn-off. Maybe have that young man shadow Cam!! Despite this disappointing interaction, the Cranberry Kelli I took home is a new favorite for my husband, who isn't a big chicken salad fan at all. I enjoyed the flavors in the Dixie Chick, however the onion is a little strong for my personal taste. During both visits I also got two of their desserts - their red velvet and white chocolate cakes are also absolutely delicious! Overall, I absolutely love this place. The food is wonderful, and my first visit was top-notch. I'm planning to visit again sometime soon to try Olivia's Old South and the Fancy Nancy! I look forward to working my way through more of the menu. If I had to pick an overall favorite chicken salad so far, it would definitely be the Classic Carol. Simple, uncomplicated, perfect!

Lots of different chicken salad options at this local lunch place. If you like chicken salad you will love all the different choices they offer. And you can get a scoop or a salad. Comes with nice variety of sides (including a second scoop of chicken salad if you don't want one of the other options), a pickle and an individually wrapped sugar cookie. Display case has many garb and go options in small or large sizes. Very friendly service!

The cashier walked me thru the menu, which was greatly appreciated as there were so many choices. I decided on the chicken salad with cranberries. DELICIOUS!! The bread tasted like 'out of the oven' fresh! In addition, I had a cup of pomblano soup. Equally delicious. Truly, it was fabulous.

There was a Chicken Salad Chick (CSC) near us when we lived in Augusta, GA about 8 years ago. We loved it, but apparently took it for granted because we didn't go there enough. We've lived in Maryland for almost 6 years now and discovered that there was a restaurant just outside of DC on the Virginia side. After going to DC this week, we had to make the trip to check out this CSC. It did not disappoint! The food was great, there was plenty of seating, and the staff was VERY nice. My wife and I each had a plate, AND each took a container of chicken salad to go. We decided to go back again this weekend and get some more. We will definitely come back whenever we're in the area!

This was a great experience Allison is an amazing person and customer service rep I've never felt so welcomed at an eating establishment in the city. She made it feel like a more. And pop shop . The service was great the food delicious. Being able to sample before making my choice was a super positive. 10/10 recommended. And if any leadership sees this hire more employees like Allison she was the highlight of this experience

Ok, so where do I start? I ordered from Doordash the first time on Saturday 10/26 and was blown away by the freshness, delicious flavor, reasonable prices, and service. I ate that meal, and knowing there were so many other optio n s I wanted to sample, I visited the store today for lunch with a colleague. The Service: Well done! From the staff taking my order, I felt like more than a customer; I felt like I came home to spend some time with family. They even come to clear the table of any trash! The Food: I had a slice of cake while waiting for my friend to arrive. The cake was moist, delicious, and reminded me of visiting family as a kid in North Carolina! My friend arrived, and I had the cheddar bacon melt and a scoop of Buffalo chicken salad. My friend had the melt with jalapeño chicken salad and a soup. The food is everything you want for lunch and / or dinner because it is absolutely delicious! We enjoyed every bite. Atmosphere: The restaurant was impeccably clean and well stocked, and the staff are ever present to tidy up and check on the customers. I rated with every available star because they earned it. I will definitely stop by as it is not far from my job and also my home. There are many great options, I was advised there is catering, and it is child friendly. Great job guys!

Just stopped by this amazing establishment for Veterans Day and was greeted right away. The service was phenomenal -- quick, polite, and incredibly friendly. Customer service is everything, and they truly delivered! I definitely recommend this place and give it a full five stars. My husband and I tried 3 different chicken salads and they were all great!!!!

It was my first time here and I must say, I'm impressed with the customer service here! I love chicken salads so we stopped by to check it out. My partner loves spicy food so she had the Maui and I ordered the Classic Carol. We were able to sample a few before committing and the chick comes with a side. I heard good things about the broccoli salad so I enjoyed it. I'm not sure if each meal comes with a cookie but that was a nice touch! I would definitely come back here for a quick pick-me-up!

Relatively new spot and you can get chicken salads to go! Super clean and spacious spot and really quick and efficient staff. Granted, it is chicken salad so if you don't like chicken salad.. well.. you probably won't like this place. I like the fruity Fran chicken salad the most as it has some fruit inside and is like a fruit mayo salad with chicken. Got takeout to go and they have all the main salads on the side of the store near the front. Great way after driving from work and not wanting to cook anything. Saw lots of small families, and honestly I would say it's a solid spot for a quick (somewhat healthier) dinner with your kids.

We have been to Chicken Salad Chick a few time since they opened in August 2024. The are many varieties of chicken salad that include savory, spicy and classic styles. I had Dixie which is the only one that contains onions. The chicken salad is very good and the croissant was fresh. I had Mac n Cheese as a side and I didn't care for it. The pimento cheese is good and comes with crackers. This is a great spot that has relatively quick service with plenty of tables. If by chance you don't like chicken salad they do also offer a turkey sandwich. Each order comes with a small iced cookie to finish your meal off. We enjoy this place and it's a great spot to get quality chicken salad.

Asked the elderly lady (manager) for a whole white chocolate cake, when the box was opened for my family Thanksgiving dessert discovered she gave me a white velvet cake, truly disappointed, she should have known it wasn't white chocolate, wasted $60.00

Not a bad lunch spot! New to our area, I decided to try it when I wanted something different. Lots of options depending on if you want a more savory chicken salad or sweeter. Nice options! You can make it healthy without bread or make it a sandwich. I think they're a little lazy with the bread though, maybe toast it? It was good - not sure if I'll add to my rotation.

I really enjoyed trying this restaurant! The staff was super nice and they allowed you to sample the different chicken salad choices. There are so many flavors! I went with the lemon basil and my daughter went with the option with onions. Both were so delicious! They also have the option for pre packaged chicken salad you can take home. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming. Also the sweet tea was amazing! If you enjoy southern sweet tea (hard to find here), you would love this. I will def return!

I had such a great experience here! The team was so friendly and helped me understand the menu as a first-timer. It's definitely a casual vibe - you order at the counter and then find your seat. There were so many options and combos, I'll definitely be back.

I'm a sucker for Chicken Salad but also a southern food snob so I came in both optimistic and skeptical lol! The customer service was stellar, warm greeting and an offer to try samples. Ultimately i decided on the "Dixie" on a croissant. The Dixie is the one with onions but unfortunately I didn't think it had enough "crunch". She said the onions are very fine...and perhaps that's why i couldn't tell. Who knows but I ate it up all the same. I will say the croissant was a little too thick for me and next time I would ask for another bread or just get the chicken salad to take home. I'm excited to try the Fairfax location coming soon!

What a yummy yummy place! They offer a huge fun variety of chicken salad flavors! Very fast and friendly service and love the vibe!!

When you immediately walk in it smells like moth balls for some reason. Other than that, everything was excellent! The employees were very nice and let you sample some of the chicken salads since there are a ton of flavors. For $12 you get either a scoop of chicken salad or a sandwich, plus a side (which can be another scoop). They had a good selection of sides like pasta salad, broccoli salad, and grape salad (which is pretty reminiscent of a Midwestern fruit salad). You also get a pickle and a cookie, so for the money this is a great value for a lunch! Will definitely come back and try some more of their flavors!

As Lizzo sings "Well it's about damn time!" What took you so long. I prayed for this day for them to come to the DMV. After taking two buses and two trains from Maryland and waiting in one long line - it was worth it.Why? They have out samples of chicken salad and cake. Staff and owners were friendly. Met Paul the very nice owner of the upcoming restaurant in Winchester, Md. Very well organized for opening day. Can't wait for opening day in Alexandria, va. The only thing that I was thinking that was missing was an incentive to return ie: BOGO or free cookie or drink with next meal. Everyone has a points program. That's the marketing major in me, I guess.

Yum! I was admittedly tired and hungry when I stopped by today but I'm so glad I did. Was looking to get chicken salad to go and they fortunately had lots of varieties freshly packaged and ready to take out. Woman behind the counter was genuinely friendly, answered my questions and offered me samples. I consulted the menu and picked up Fancy Nancy, Holly Jalapeño and Kelly? (Cranberry and pecan). All three were delightful. Once I got home I mixed the cranberry and jalapeño chicken salads and decided I'm a genius- great blend of flavors! Everyone at home enjoyed the chicken salad, good quality, no fillers. Appreciated that there are no onions except for the variety that clearly says it's the only one with onions. Cake slices looked inviting so will sample tonight. Will be back!

I discovered this chain a while back while traveling in the south. I was super excited they were opening one up in VA. The staff was absolutely lovely! The great thing about this place is the variety of chicken salad options and the pimento cheese!! I would absolutely recommend giving this place a try they have a lot of options to choose from, I went with the scoops because that is what i had gotten before when I first tried Chicken Salad Chick, and you can get stuff to go also.

I showed up at the complex planning on eating somewhere else.. but saw the sign and was intrigued. Can this really be a restaurant that sells chicken salad? Yup! And it's great. You can choose to have the scoops of chicken salad straight, as a sandwich or over a salad. And they have interesting soup options instead of just the usual broccoli cheddar. So I went with a chicken salad sandwich the poblano soup. A great lunch for $12. Second visit, I had a scoop of spicy chicken salad, scoop of pimento cheese and a tortilla soup. Went for the trio and got a heartier meal. The portions are generous and allows you to try several options. Everyone working there was friendly and patient with me as I got stuck on the menu of options. The restaurant is spotless and has plenty of seating. Dined twice in two days and will be back soon. Welcome to the neighborhood!

An added bonus if you do not want chicken salad, there are options of blended pimento cheese and egg salad! Each salad had its own unique twist of various fresh ingredients and seasoning. For $11.49, it comes with the option for a scoop or sandwich of chicken salad or pimento cheese, plus one choice of soup, side item, or another scoop. I opted for the Kickin' Kay Lynne sandwich with a side of mac 'n cheese. It was prepared fresh and delicious with a flavorful kick of spiciness. The restaurant was clean with an inviting atmosphere. Will definitely be back! Enjoy!

Pimento cheese who knew!!! Wow what a great place. So much to offer. The staff is very patient explaining options and they bring your meal to you (don't forget to tip when you order). Did I mention how NICE Donna one of the staff is??? Lunch crowd, friends gathering, couples and plenty of us singles ate inside. They do offer to go items already prepared (grab and go). Or you can order online and pick-up. I ordered a scoop of pimento cheese and Fancy Nancy (chicken salad with apples/grapes). The order came with a large pickle slice, plenty of crackers and a cookie. The pimento cheese scoop was just like grandma's comfort food. So good. Fancy Nancy is also very yummy. The vibe is friendly and fresh. Sit down restaurant (except you order up front) None of those sticky tables and chairs found at other restaurants. Fresh food. My new favorite spot. Also, Plenty of room for accessibility (ramp and double doors, tables near the window)!

Weird smell when you walk in but other than that, a great dining experience here. Familiar with this place from traveling a lot in the South, but never actually tried it. Lots of chicken salad options pre-packed or made to order. Plenty of dining room space as well. The food itself is pretty well priced and the portions will satisfy you but not make you extremely full. I ordered the BLT and the potato soup and felt like I could've gone for a slice of cake after. The cookie that they put with your meal is a great little touch as well. Glad to have this option in the area, check it out!

So many options of chicken salads and salads, sides and 3 soup options. Charming atmosphere for birthday lunch with a friend. They were very welcoming and fast service. Even comes with a delicious cookie to top the lunch off. Definitely going back!!!

For someone to be extremely picky when it comes to food, my daughter loved it! She tasted the kids grill cheese with fruit and the potato soup she love it! She even ate some of my chicken salad melt and loved it. This will be our new go to place on girls days! I'm so happy I have one close to my job and soon by my home in Herndon!

I've read about the rave reviews about Chicken Salad Chick online & seen YouTube videos. All touting the chicken salad! Wait! Chicken salad??? How can you make a restaurant on just chicken salad? Simple. Do it well. Do it better than everyone else. Have different versions of chicken salad. Have several different delicious sides. Hire energic and smiling employees that make the customer feel welcome "Southern Hospitality" (ala Chick-Fil-A). Have a dining area with booths & tables/chairs that look like a large dining room from Southern mansion. There you have it! A successful business model with execution and you have a winner! And I could have sworn the Founder Ms. Stacy M. Brown was there this afternoon giving us free additional samples of sides. Chicken salad hit all the right spots in savory & sweet! My son (who isn't a fan of chicken salad) raved about it! He said it was perfect texture and not too mushy/wet! That's saying something from a food snob/picky eater like my son. As the Terminator says, "I'll be back!" We will. Did I mention the friendly staff??? And if it was Ms. Brown who we got to meet but didn't realize it, your empire will keep growing if you keep going!!!

I went on opening day and scored free chicken salad every month for a year. I'm really looking forward to working my way through the menu but for now I tried the classic, the fancy Nancy, and the lemon basil. They were all really really good. The lemon basil was kind of sneaky delicious. I got one of them on a croissant and the croissant is pretty meh. I would skip it next time. Also got a side of pimento cheese. It was not as good as Taste's but still decent. The white chocolate cake is pretty awesome. The little cookie that comes with your order was also good.

I wish I had had time to take a picture of this cake and cookie before I scarfed it down, but it looks exactly the same as it does on the website, the cake is just bigger in person! There was not a bad bite in this slice and it restored my faith in the grocery store cake industry(?) Would definitely order this as my birthday cake, to be honest. Good flavor all the way through, frosting was sweet enough but not unbearable, and the cake itself was dense and baked in an even shape. Cookie was delicious as well. Ordered online so I didn't see the service or ambience.

They have a number of types of chicken salad and served in different ways ie sandwiches or platters with accompanying sides and soups. Very personable and informative staff. I enjoyed the food very much and recommend their food.

Stopped in Saturday afternoon the first week of their opening. They had a line out the door and the dining room was full. One the way in, I grabbed a menu. Lots of chicken salad options with some tempting sides and desserts. I got the chicken salad melt with the classic chicken salad on a croissant and a side of chicken poblano soup to go. The soup was really tasty. Chunks of chicken, black beans, and corn with some good heat. It was very much to my taste. The sandwich was lightly melted and the chicken salad was excellent. Just the right amount of mayo and spices, and a nice portion. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. They do a really good job of handling the crowd and getting the order right. I'll be back to try some of the other items on the menu. Great addition to the area.

Underwhelmed for sure. The classic carol chicken salad was just boring. I get it, it's a classic chicken salad... but it better be darn good if that's what their specialty is. Zero texture or crunch. The croissant was dry and stale. The loaded potato soup was way too heavy and thick. Wouldn't even consider it a soup.

Ordered several chicken salads, pimiento cheese, and pasta salads the day before a party we were hosting for 30 women and it was DELICIOUS and very well received!! Everyone asked if they were freshly homemade Would order it again every time! 10/10 recommend **also above and beyond service**

It was delicious and filling. They have a variety of different kinds. It's a little pricey but still good.

What a TREAT to discover this restaurant!! It was my first visit, and I'll be back again with a bunch of friends! First, the decor is lovely - light, roomy, beautifully decorated in green and white: so fresh! Then, the menu is delicious, and for $11.49, you can get "the Chick" - a sandwich or scoop of your choice of chicken salad on your choice of bread, PLUS lettuce and tomato, PLUS a side of either soup, salad, or another chicken salad scoop, PLUS a big pickle spear, PLUS a frosted buttercream cookie! The food was whisked to our table in jig time and everything was mouth-wateringly GREAT! I'm old and jaded, and I've seen restaurant prices go sky high while portions keep shrinking, and I've gotta say this was one outstanding deal!! Other menu items look equally delish and reasonably priced, and the overall effect of having lunch there is that I'm still in a good mood four hours later! Many thanks, Chicken Salad Chick, for making this a very special day!! I'm telling everyone I know about you.

4.5 Stars. I love this cute little place. Makes me feel like I've gone to the Deep South with all the Southern Hospitality and decor. The owner is sweet and kind, they really do care about their customers. I love their chicken salad, their broccoli salad and their pimento cheese!!! I have yet venture to try other new things, because already there are quite a few options I rotate between. Their stuff is made daily and it's super fresh. I'm a chicken salad lover, but I know some who just can't stand the mayo. It'd be interesting if corporate ever tried some options sans mayo. But it's such a cute, fast and casual lunch spot with a girlfriend, seating is comfy some with booths and tablecloth, drinks are self-service and refillable. Quick and friendly service. I'd choose here over Chick-fil-A any day! Same price point, but atmosphere is cozier than a fast food joint!

The chicken salad is amazing! So filling and so flavorful. It's definitely worth a try. I was missing Jason's Deli and I am glad this is a great option if you want something that hits the spot. The customer service is amazing and has a very cozy atmosphere if you want to sit inside to eat. The price point is very reasonable for the food you get. You can even sample the different flavors before you order. Highly Highly recommend to try this place! You won't be disappointed! I forgot to take a picture as I inhaled my food and forgot! It's really this good!

I'm not sure why this place gets so much praise. I ordered their Lauryn style, lemon basil chicken salad. It was supposed to have pecans in it. Absolutely no crunch or texture, no detectable lemon flavor either. Just too much basil. I am a super taster, so I can detect ingredients with high sensitivity. I told a staff member after 2 bites that they must have missed the nuts in mine, as there was no pecan flavor or crunchy texture. The nice man said they only add pecan dust. I say, Why? Missed opportunity to give a squishy dish some crunch.. Portion size is also an issue. One tiny scoop for $12? You can get better chicken elsewhere for less.

My friend and I were looking forward to our first visit.. the restaurant was sparsely attended at 11:30am. After we received our meal and sat down, we were incessantly interrupted to ask if everything was ok; if we needed anything; and the waitstaff was overly eager to clear our table. in fact, although I was finished (doesn't take long to finish a grape salad and small cup of soup), my friend was not finished and the waitress tried to take her plate!. Then, she stopped at our table again and said the restaurant was filled to capacity and suggested that we leave. I refused saying we would leave in about 10 minutes. She also asked another table to leave, which they did, and we shortly followed suit. in my opinion, the waitress was rude; it's obvious the main concern of this establishment is run 'em in, get their money, and run 'em out. Needless to say we will not be back. if this restaurant doesn't want their clientele to enjoy a sit-down meal, they should remove the tables and chairs and focus on drive-through.

I've been looking forward to this new restaurant and it did not disappoint. The ambiance is comfortable & I loved all the "homey" decorations. I tried two scoops - Classic Carol and Fancy Nancy & both were excellent! I can't wait to try more as there are SO MANY options. A special note: the staff were welcoming & friendly & were attentive to details.

The customer service was excellent and I gave a tip to the employee. The food was not that good. The Mac and cheese was boring, 3/10. The fancy Nancy was boring as well. I didn't get the refreshing flavor of the grapes/tomatoes, croissant was dry. I would be interested in getting a different type, but never this again.

So many cool options in chicken salad but we keep coming back for "Fancy Nancy" ! The staff is extraordinarily friendly and efficient - seems very well run and its support for local charities makes it all taste that much better.

food, vibes, and customer service are all 10/10, and for what you get I would say the price for a meal is pretty decent

I was going to order from here on DoorDash, but then I saw the $3-4 price increase for EACH item on DD vs their menu. While I understand a small increase of around .50 per item to offset the cost of the app, ordering three items and paying $12 more ($4 surge per item) plus delivery and tip... that's a no from me!
