Chicken Shack Bloomfield Hills

Ordered the 4 piece chicken with green beans. My hotel was almost a 10 minute drive and the chicken was still at a very acceptable level when I arrived. The green beans however were very cold. There was also no roll which the menu stated came with the meal. When my order was called, I noticed silverware and butter was provided so I assumed it was in the box. Salt would have been nice, and while I did not l specifically look for it, there was none included. Chicken was cooked well and juicy. Service was acceptable as well. Would try again.

This is a nice location but their cooks suck. 3 times in a row I ordered ribs and asked for light sauce, they keep giving me extra sauce. Today, I even said, “light sauce but like, actually light sauce, please. Last time you guys gave me extra.” What did they do? Gave me extra freaking sauce. I worked at a Chicken Shack for years, I know what light sauce should be. I almost asked for a refund but I needed to eat something before getting back to work and didn’t have time to go anywhere else. Another day, I ordered tenders and they tasted spoiled. They were also just plain white, not golden or anything like they should be… I threw it out because I was worried I would get food poisoning. Waste of money.

First time ordering at this location was excellent experience. We ordered (2) 4 piece chicken meals, both with potatoes. Chicken was moist and excellent tasting.Although must say each piece was on very small side when compared to other competitors fried chicken. Potatoes tasted amazing, but didn't care for all the oil sitting in the bottom of the container. But they were both warm and moist. Even the rolls were soft!

It was all very good, the food, the service, and the atmosphere. What you want to know is this: the food was all fried and there wasn't anything special about it and it's not cheap. It was good, I'd probably eat it again, but if I don't, I won't feel like I missed anything.

I have to say I am still pretty sore about how Chicken Shack took their chicken bites and shrunk the portions, and changed the batter. I have to say it is awful, and it is a lot harder batter. I did reach out on social media, and they responded that they didn’t shrink the portions, only the batter. I sent them. Before and after that, I have uploaded it to this review. I guess I am pretty bitter because this was my favorite item to get next to the English cod. Other than that, the guy who took my order was nice

For the second time ordering my food online my food was cold and tasted like it was old chicken and potatoes. I thought it was a fluke the first time it happened so I ordered again today and got the same result so I won’t be back.

We haven’t been here in over a year as the chicken was tough. We thought we would give it another try- potatoes great - Cole slaw- Great Chicken- like rubber. We are done It was order number 147576 on Aug 3 2024 at 4.55 pm In case the owners are interested

Was disappointed that I could not choose my chicken pieces. I ordered a 4 piece dark meal and wanted 4 legs. Was told I could only get 2 thighs and 2 legs. Now I go elsewhere. However, my last meal of chicken and broasted potatoes tasted great there.

Chicken Shack is still one of my go-to spots. I always order the combo with ribs and drumsticks, opting for the barbecue style. I pair it with the Shack Potatoes and an extra side of butter. This isn't exactly low-calorie fare, but it's the perfect indulgence every now and then. The meal usually comes with a roll on the side--super tasty and incredibly filling. I'll definitely keep coming back!

We always go to the chicken shack on Woodward in Bloomfield Hills. We order the eight piece all dark with barbecue sauce on it, roasted potatoes, and coleslaw. It's really good their barbecue chicken if you choose to get it that way, you'll be very satisfied. The price is a little high, but chicken is not cheap these days.

A simple 8 piece meal with two sides and they completely forget the coleslaw side. Idk about you but eating fried chicken without coleslaw was a bummer

This was our first Chicken Shack experience today and I was impressed. I get coupons in the mail periodically and always keep them but have never used them. They are currently doing take out only and this one is the closest to our home. I studied the menus, coupons, and photos and read a few of the reviews and decided on the BOGO50%Off dinners. When we arrived late morning it was not too busy so I ordered one 4-pc Chicken Dinner and one 5-pc Cod Fish Dinner both with Onion Rings and a Roll. It took a total of about ten minutes for the order to come up which tells me it wasn't picked out of a warming tray but cooked hot and fresh when ordered. I stopped to grab a few paper napkins and headed out the door! We were on our way to an appointment so we had to eat in the car; I'm not very good at eating in the car unless it is something I can hold in my hand, like a sandwich and not chicken with bones. The Chicken was very hot and the taste was delicious; not as greasy or salty as what we expect at KFC. The breading had great crunch as well. The Cod was similarly really good with taste and crunch and I had thought we were splitting everything, when I asked about another piece of fish, my wife showed me the empty container. A word on the Onion Rings that were crunchy, tasty, and the onion did not pull out of the breading like so many places. Overall a great experience with friendly staff and tasty food. And so close; I'm sure we'll be back.

BEWARE!!! My daughter ordered food for her wedding on June 22, 2024 here. About two hours into the reception we ran out of chicken. I knew something was wrong with the quantity and called them. I spoke to Nik, who admitted he only prepared 50% of the order, 100 pieces not 200. FOR A WEDDING RECEPTION. Unbelievable!!! Don't take the chance, this could happen to you.

Ordered carry out for the family. I have never had dryer chicken. Even the chicken thighs. Everything was overcooked including the potatoes. The coleslaw was the only good thing about the meal. I have been going to chicken shack for years and with no issues with the food. The last couple of times I haven't eaten here has been a disappointment.

Good food. They need to fix their location on the website map. Their chicken is usually moist and delicious, I love their English Style Cod dinner. Their coleslaw creamy how I like it and their roasted potato chunks coated in butter are to die for. This is a new location so their staff is new and not as experienced as other locations.

My fiancé was so excited to see a brand new chicken shack in the area. He placed an order there and waited 30 minutes.. he will be ordering online next time. The chicken was hot, crispy, and delicious. It came with a side and he ordered the potatoes which were also SO good! The portions were huge and reasonably priced. He is looking forward to going back.

So this location just just opened! I drove by awhile ago and seen signage and thought to good to be true this close to home. Nope did my research this place just opened like within the week! Was super happy and surprised to find they had online ordering already Up and running! So reserved my time ordered my food and it was ready right at pick up time! The food was all hot and fresh! Happy to see they didn't use styrofoam boxes it makes fried food nasty so fast. This was carboardish and didn't nearly retain as much moisture! The chicken bites dinner and the fish bites dinner we're perfectly crispy, and the fish was so flaky and light. It's fried food there isnt a whole list of things to say. Can't wait to come back here! Hope this type of service and quality continues!

Good service just need to get better employees and train them properly, the cooks are great don't loose them. Pay them what they ask for it'll really spark your clients.

After waiting a half hour and filling 4 orders for people that came in AFTER me I asked for a refund on my order so I could leave. They treated me very rudely and made me feel like I was in the wrong. Not to mention the manager was also rude and employees didn't work with any sense of urgency. Restaurant was very clean.

Great chicken and potatoes. Love the crispy crunchyness of the chicken and the buttery goodness of the potatoes.

Mmm, there's nothing like serious comfort food on a long drive home. My hubby, TPT, and I stopped in for a quick take out and were not disappointed. This was my first chicken shack experience and I am hooked! The chicken was tender, crispy, and the sandwich as a whole was perfect. The potato bites?! Oh baby, drowning in a delicious butter sauce just waiting to be devoured. I seriously couldn't get enough of the potatoes. The wait was a little long, but overall, it was well worth the wait. I don't live near this location, but I certainly will explore more Chicken Shacks close to home!

Food was excellent! We got potatoes, cole slaw, and chicken bites. Woman at counter for pick up was very rude.

The owner needs to get someone to actually manage this place and their employees. Staff is always goofing off with each other, gave me the wrong order twice in five trips (luckily I caught it before leaving each time). Food is pretty good, but service needs major help/managing

Rude Manager, Cashier didn't know that meals we're an additional price. So I ask for the manager and he told me I didn't read the sign right

First time here. Also last. Only person in store. "Hi" I say. No answer from cashier. "First time here". No answer. Order 2- 2 piece meals. "One order white, one dark". I'm sorry you can't do that. White or dark. What do you want. "One order of each". Person behind counter in back says he's ordering two orders. Oh. Says cashier. Food finally comes. Cashier pushes bag at me. Says nothing. I say "you are very welcome". No reply. I know times are tough. But so is my budget. I will spend it elsewhere.

Broasted potatoes with delicious garlic butter are my favorite. I could eat a whole order by myself. The tenders are tasty and generously sized. Only draw back is charges for extras but I pay it because the sauce is great. The bbq sauce with a little of the butter is delicious!

From initial order to pickup the service was friendly and patient and the food was awesome Will definitely be back.

Tried calling 5 times to order and was hung up on. Finally ordered on line. I realize Covid has an impact but when I arrived to pick up they said they had no on line order for me. After calling my wife and asking her where she placed the order they said they found it. Waited another 15 minutes. Very frustrating. Clearly they can't handle the orders. Maybe they can't find anyone to work there. Who knows. Got home and the food was cold and they short changed me on my chicken nuggets. Wings were gross.

In a word, Disgusting. I write fair reviews but this was really bad. I ordered the wing dinner $13. I got 8 very small over cooked wings with no sauce. On top the coleslaw was like mush. No flavor and the texture like someone chewed it and spit out. Bottom line will NEVER go back to Chicken shack. The Sobeck's should be embarrassed to have taken my money for that meal.

First time at this location. Although food seems as normal. Customer service was horrible. Upon entering, the cashier SCREAMS that she needs help. Now. There were only 2 ppl waiting. When I was helped by a diff associate I had asked for an extra sauce. Since no sauce was on the ribs. This was for 8 ribs, not a 4 snack. She only responded with ".78!" First, I had pre paid. No wallet. Secondly, I tipped well. The main point being if a snack gets one sauce, you can't give me a second for the slab?!?! No sauce on it. Just side. I just said forget it. Terrible experience. Too bad bc location was very clean.

Worst chicken shack ever!!! My order is ALWAYS wrong, never fails. it's a inconvenience Because I'll get home and open my food ready to eat and I always have to go back to the store to get the right order.
