Ordered thru Door Dash as a pick up order on NYE. I placed order around 3 pm for 6:30 pick up. Received notification and went to the store and it was mayhem. It was minutes before close and you had ppl running everywhere bc they’d fallen behind. I overheard someone say that Chicken Shack employees were tasked with learning a new system on prob their busiest day. You had ppl complaining one after another but the store manager, G Cooper, was cool under pressure, addressed employees and customers politely and systemically knocked one order out after another. It was a situation bad enough where a lot of ppl would just stomp off the job but they pulled together and got er’done. Ppl need to stop being selfish and understand that stuff happens in life and sometimes we have to be inconvenienced and may have to wait a little longer. Yelling at the same ppl you expect to serve you is not the way to get what you want in the moment. I had to wait an extra 20 min but the food was hot, delicious and appreciated by everyone at my party. I might add that this is the first time in 35 years of going there that this sort of thing happened. They run a tight ship and foods consistently good.

Yep, good, as always. Greasy, hot, crunchy, and worth it. I always have to stop here when I'm in Detroit for some crispy chicken and butter potatoes. Service was friendly and kind.

Picked up the autumn deal to take to family. The tenders were super chewy and not good. We couldn’t eat them. The coleslaw was just ok. The potatoes and ribs were good. The customer service was good. I won’t be back - I paid a lot for inedible chicken.

Thinking I chose the wrong day to visit. Maybe they were short staffed and stressed. The other issues during the visit I can get over but making it seem like I'm the issue when my order was wrong is annoying. I wasn't rude, disrespectful, or impatient. And there was a nice little wait both times i had to go through the drive thru. Telling me my online order was made like I requested when it clearly wasn't and was missing several components wasnt necessary. After eventually listening to me and letting me explain what was missing I got my order fixed. No apology for gaslighting but whatever. Hopefully the food will taste good at least.

The smell of the place greets you as you drive in or by. It's enticing. And it, obviously, continues inside. Makes a body hungrier. The interior is a step up from a fast-food place but the rest is the same: order at the counter, await your number to be called, served on plastic trays with plasticware. The choices are as indicated on the awning: chicken, ribs & seafood. I had a 2 piece fish dinner which comes with a side h a roll. I got my food a couple minutes later. There was no butter for the roll. The coleslaw was kind of bland. The fish was fine but nothing to drag me back. I'd be willing to try the chicken and potatoes on a second visit at sometime in the future as I heard a number of other customers make good comments about them.

I was visiting my Dad for the holidays. I moved to Florida over 25 years ago. I remembered eating here on my lunch breaks in the 90s. The food is still DEE LISH! I hate that there isn't a location in FL. The ribs? Broasted potatoes? Lemonade? Shrimp? DEE LISH!

Love everything about this restaurant! The food IS ALWAYS fresh and cooked perfectly. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and knowledgeable. Gotta shout out Jase!

The staff is awesome and those two guys that fry the chicken and do the ribs is on point. The lovely two cousins are so respectful and I hated to hear that one had left, but the one that stayed, I still call her twin just to make her smile. That's why I made it my favorite place to become a regular customer
