Coqfighter and Chik’n Will Open New Fried Chicken Restaurants in Soho | Eater London

"Opening on Wardour Street on 22 May in the former Brgr site, this new fried-chicken sandwich shop from Carl Clarke (creator of Chick n Sours) and partner David Wolanski aims to reshape perceptions of fast-food fried chicken by serving a socially conscious, 'incredibly crispy' product made from high-welfare meat and non–mass-produced ingredients. The team places strong emphasis on staff wellbeing—putting preventative measures in place around depression and anxiety, creating a more inclusive workplace by hiring more young people and women, and instituting training programmes—to foster a happier working environment. Recipe development is obsessive about the frying process, with the kitchen using the latest technology and state-of-the-art pressure fryers to achieve a touted '#nextlevel' crunch." - Adam Coghlan

The Stafford Hotel’s Ben Tish Opens Sicilian Restaurant in Fitzrovia | Eater London

"The fried-chicken shop's second Soho outpost is being positioned with bold ambitions, explicitly aiming to deliver what it bills as the 'best sandwich in the fucking world,' signaling an attention-grabbing, high-expectation approach to its menu and marketing." - James Hansen

It's rare to find the food you receive actually resembles what's advertised. Tasted even better than it looked. Had the Little Straight Up with Little Fries. Wish I'd gone bigger. Great temperature, flavour and high-quality chicken. Loved the mayo and pickles. Good amount of salt on the fries. Plus the wait staff were kind and welcoming. Good for a quick solo lunch.

I can honestly say this is the best chicken I’ve had in London – absolutely unbeatable. Crispy, juicy, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. You can immediately tell why this place has such a strong reputation. It was my very first visit, and I was genuinely impressed not only by the food but also by the service. Rahul made the whole experience outstanding – he was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful every step of the way. From the moment I walked in until I left, I felt really looked after, which is rare these days and makes such a difference. The atmosphere was lively, the food exceeded every expectation, and the service was second to none. I left not only full but genuinely delighted – it’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. Huge thank you to Rahul and the team – you turned my first visit into an experience I won’t forget. I’ll definitely be returning soon, and I’ll be bringing friends along with me. Highly recommend Chicken Shop – this is where London’s best chicken lives!

The food was absolutely delicious, and the location in Soho made it perfect with plenty to do before or after the meal. Service was outstanding, and even the checkout process was quick and straightforward. The shop itself was clean and comfortable. While it’s a little pricier than your average chicken shop, it’s still affordable and the quality justifies it. The burgers had a unique and memorable flavor that really stood out. And the mango and coconut shake? Pure heaven!! I’d come back just for that alone.

Had a chicken shop delivery to our hotel in London and it was exceptionally good! Great choice of burgers, tenders, wings, wraps and milkshakes etc. The deluxe double burgers are bit expensive but to be honest worth it! Massive and tasty and the chicken and coating is on point with juicy tender chicken breast. We had a couple of milkshakes one vanilla and chocolate and they were also really good.

Wow! Went here twice in one night...says it all really. Really tasty. Had two little ones, the classic and the one with cheese, with hot sauce. Delicious!!

Best way to describe the chicken shop is it’s an upgraded version of KFC! Tried few items was pretty impressed. The deluxe burger was quite tasty and the Korean wings were the highlight. Everything was cooked fresh to order.

Food was good as usual! I usually go for the spicy burger, but the slaw always comes out really cold compared to the burger — not exactly the best combo. Service was okay, though it seems like they’ve stopped doing the free fries for students. I was happy about the 20% student discount, but the server wasn’t very helpful when I asked how to redeem it — I ended up only getting 10% off because they didn’t really guide me through it, which was annoying. On the bright side, my sister got the Korean cheesy chips, and they were amazing. I demolished them — easily the highlight of the meal! Overall, still a decent visit. I’d definitely go back and try something new next time. Would
