I couldn't wait to share this experience. I'm currently traveling with family to Spain from Miami and had a layover in Philly. This is specifically to the location on terminal A at PHL next to our gate A21
We had a few minutes to grab a bite, so we saw this place next to the gate and wanted to try out a Philly Cheeseteak, after all were in Philly!
When we walked in we sat on high top seats away from the bar and were immediately greeted by a gentleman that told us he would be right with us, within 30 seconds, I saw an empty booth and sat there with my family; however, a lady came over from the bar and told me I couldn't sit there because it had signs that it was closed (she pointed at signes that we're facing the window, not the public) so when I started to tell my family we had to move the gentleman that had approached me at first asked me what happened and after I shared he told me we were good to stay (1st great service act from this gentleman)
After this, I shared with him we just noticed it flight was boarding in 20 minutes, he said: "you're good, what do you want?" I told him "a Philly and wings,", he said "I got you"
And oh boy I didn't know how much the saying "I got you" means until today. This gentleman, who I learned was named Jacqual Donna and he was the manager demonstrated outstanding customer service and incredible attention to detail. When I asked for a beer he asked me what I liked and he picked one for me that was delicious. He brought in the Philly super quick and went across the gate aisle to get my son lemonade and the wings running.
He charged my card súper quick and we were on time perfectly for our flight.
Food was great, Philly was ok, wings were really good. And the sauce on the fries was on point.
After having 3 minutes of an unpleasant situation when I first visited the place, this gentlemen, Jacqual, went above and beyond my expectations to show what good client care is.
I'm thankful for having met him today.
For those reading this... take the time to visit this location, ask for him, and tell him Santiago was grateful.
