Meat Supply Chain Shortages Cause Problems for Seattle Food Trucks | Eater Seattle

"As meat processing plants across the country have struggled with COVID-19-related closures, I report that Filipino-American food truck Chick'n Fix experienced problems getting meat and other ingredients from suppliers, with prices for available product rising 25 percent or more; this has compounded the pandemic slowdown for food trucks and, according to industry observers, forced some operators to shut when they couldn’t source beef." - Gabe Guarente

I just moved to Washington, I've never had chicken adobo in my life 😳🫢 I'm blown away 🤯😍 this food is so well done, so flavourful, so tender and juicy. Definitely the best around! ( ALWAYS TRY SOMETHING NEW! )

Iris Monica Ann S.

Google
we got the combo and adobo! it was absolutely delicious. there’s layers of flavors in everything - mac salad, chicken strips, bola bola, adobo, lumpia - all seasoned so good. mac salad has cheese + fruits (i think pineapple & pear) and it was creamy goodness. the chicken strips and adobo chicken are so moist. the filipino food (bola bola, adobo & lumpia) reminds me of back home, so flavorful and hearty! chick’n sauce is a favorite! huge portions! amazing people! definitely our new go-to spot <3 the pic was taken halfway through eating the food, we couldn’t wait lol. still so much adobo left. also got a side of rice that we finished lol.

Hidden away. Small well run take out establishment. Everyone very welcoming. Great service. You put in order and get a beeper. You can wait in your car. Pretty good parking in their small lot. Food was outstanding - Philippine-American fusion, if you need to put a label on it. Goes to show everywhere, there is a great style of fried chicken. One of the regulars recommended the combination. Abundant portions. Good fíes. Chicken very good, super moist. Dipping sauce very good. The BolaBola’s are very good, as were the small veggie spring rolls that come with the combination.

Google
Chicken is very dry the sauce taste like wasabi mayonnaise. Don’t waste your time guys $18 for four strips and fries no drink.

Google
Chicken adobo is outstanding! So much food I could eat two meals. Juicy fall off the bone chicken and the tastiest broth! Just the right amount of spice. Will be a new regular.

Google
I was stoked to find Chick'n Fix for dinner on my way home while driving through SoDo. It's quite hidden and just a little "grab n go" spot. The owners were there and super friendly and welcoming. Keep in mind that they accept only credit cards. You pay, receive a beeper and hang out in your car--or chat it up like I did. Here they serve up a fusion of Filipino food and American. I enjoyed one of the combo meals that came with their super moist chicken strips, french fries, a dipping sauce and Bola Bola. I had never had Bola Bola before but it was like arancini, a fried rice ball stuffed with beef. They also serve up macaroni salad that was tasty, and lumpia--pay the additional fee for the homemade kind. Their sauces have a twist given that the ketchup has banana and their Chick'n Fix is a mix of ketchup and mayo with horseradish. I'll be back for sure.

Google
I had the chicks adobo and Mac salad. The chicken adobo was amazing! Haven’t had any that good in years. However, I was a little disappointed in the Mac salad due to it having chunks of apples in it. Would have given 5 stars if the apples weren’t preset. Will definitely come back just won’t get the Mac salad.

Google
Yeah yeah it was amazing not this is code talk if you know you know. I’m from the Manila Cafe era and it’s legendary Seattle adobe and beef inihaw. Now unfortunately Manila cafe is closed but this right here hit the spot and did not disappoint. All the flavors and spices I needed for my adobo fix. 5 star service, parking, curb side delivery for my preorder now here is the warning it sells out so don’t miss out. Can’t wait to go back.

Yelp
My coworkers and I actually found this spot thanks to Yelp it looked like a chicken joint with a Filipino twist, so of course we had to check it out! The place seems pretty new, and you can tell they're still getting things running smoothly. Prices online were noticeably cheaper than in person, and since their system was down, we ended up ordering through the website instead. Not a big deal, but something to note if you plan to visit soon! Now onto the food the portions were solid, and the chicken definitely looked (and smelled) promising. The mac salad, though, could use a little more oomph it was missing that something-something, maybe a touch more salt or seasoning to really bring it to life. What I do appreciate is that the menu isn't huge. They focus on a few key dishes, which usually means better quality and consistency (and I'm all for that). Seating is limited, so it's more of a grab-and-go kind of spot. Overall, it's a little on the pricey side, but I get it, it's a small business, and I genuinely hope they stick around. We need more local gems like this in the area!

Yelp
It's just ok food. Chicken strips are juicy but the batter had no flavor. Lumpia portions were large but tasted a little too fishy and didn't have that much flavor either. The special chicken sauce tasted way too vinegary. People seemed nice enough working there but not overly friendly. It all looks way better than it tastes. I liked the portion sizes but it's a pass for me going forward.

Yelp
I've only had the chicken strips, and they are surprisingly good. They're pretty hefty, juicy, and always fresh and hot. It costs more than chicken strips at fast food chains, and you definitely get what you pay for here. Very good quality chicken, cooked well. Good flavor. Friendly staff as well.

Yelp
Staff and owner are really nice and generous, the food tastes great with authentic lumpia and fried chicken. Great quick food truck spot at SODO

Yelp
I havent eaten at a food truck or non permanent food biz in years. I recently tried Chick'n Fix. Imagine me as I scratched the ground to forage for food. I looked up, and there was a food truck. The food was the best feed for this chick as I made a trilling sound. I was content. Jon and Mari are hardworking and delightful business owners. I give Jon and Mari and their food truck 5-CLUCKS
google avatar

Yelp
Chicken is excellent, the sauces are all great, I don't even know what a bola bola is but it rules, the lumpia rocks, the guy is super nice - you gotta check it out.

Yelp
I am a repeat reviewer because if there is one thing they do right is CONSISTENCY! Their new place on 4th is serving up the same yummy and oversized portions as before. I had the chicken tenders with potato salad and had enough for two people. The coleslaw was delicious and the customer service is top notch! Mari always has a smile on her face and just wants to feed everyone! If you haven't been to their new place then get on over there! Bring a warm coat and grab a seat so you can eat it while it's hot and don't forget to leave a tip!

Yelp
Found this food truck right next to Chuck's Hop Shop in Greenwood, Seattle. They had quick service and dropped the food off right at our table while we were sitting outside! I got the combo because I wanted to try everything, but next time I think I'll just get the Bola Bola because it was so delicious.

Yelp
Average is the name of the game at Chick'n Fix. You will be happy eating at this food truck but you won't be wowed by it either. The best thing about this truck. They are very nice and that got them an extra star. The chicken stripes are the best menu item but I want it crispy and mine wasn't. The chicken rice balls are missing something but they are so forgettable I can't figure it out what is missing. The lumpia are reheated so they aren't crispy but seem tired. I can't taste the garlic in the garlic fries. Get the rice and think you are eating something healthy. The plates lack color The spicy sauces aren't spicy but they are good. Kick something, anything up a notch we more flavor and crispier fried foods.

Yelp
Ordered a side of fries during the seawolves game. Was made to wait over 15 minutes for a simple side order. Two people behind my order recieved theirs before me. My fries.were.the bottom of the batch - small, very unimpressive. Definitely will not patronize this business again.

Shami M.

Yelp
I had the hot chicken wings and garlic fries. Both were flavorful and filling. I definitely highly recommend.

Yelp
it's so meh. got the combo. so we tried the chicken tenders and the ball things and some egg rolls and the fries. nothing was that great, everything tasted like it was store bought frozen food. the dipping sauce was ok. for a place that is supposed to be focused on chicken , they really didn't bring anything special. i wasn't expecting much but this was definitely below average food. would not order again. i was gonna give it two stars but then i thought about it more and im like even if i was hungry and their truck was right there i would just rather wait and have anything else and it would be more exciting than this food. sorry but like, make your food cool in some way or just stop. maybe the people in the truck are too busy talking to each other to care about your food i dunno. literally their little dipping sauce thing was better than all the foods combined. the ball things are so overrated on the reviews , i don't think they actually prep their own food i think they just buy premade stuff and fry it
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful service!! Both the cook and the server were so genuinely kind. The chikn rocked too!

Yelp
We were at Frontier park for the food truck festival and wanted a side of fries with my banh mi and my boyfriends food. The line wasn't extremely long and their rosemary garlic fries were intriguing. I ended up ordering the chicken wings and fries. Price was decent for the amount and the wait time was short. I started to pick on the fries and thought they were good but could use more garlic. I thought it was going to be fresh minced garlic on them but there wasn't. They're still good just not great. The wings were decent sized and the flavor was nice. The barbecue dipping sauce was good but the sweet/spicy Thai sauce is definitely lumpish sauce you can buy in the bottle but watered down. I think it was a good side to our personal meals and I may go back to try their Bola Bolas but you won't see me rushing back anytime soon. The ladies working the truck were very nice and efficient.

Yelp
You know when you're driving around Capital Hill in the evening and you have that sudden craving for amazing fried chicken? Well you're in luck - at least if Chick'n Fix is around! Folks, this place is "da bomb" for chicken. I ordered the strips and fries, and it was delicious. Thick, flavorful, juicy chicken breasts coated in some sort of magical breading, deep fried to perfection, and served with their amazingly seasoned fries. I wasn't even in the MOOD for fries but I couldn't get enough of these. And don't get me started on their sauces. Okay, get me started. First is their signature sauce, a magical mixture of ketchup/mustard/horseradish - sweet, spicy, superb. Next is their barbecue sauce, rich and smoky, oh yeah. And they had a third sauce, too, but in my chicken stupor I can't remember what that was. Service was super friendly, too. If you catch these guys in the parking lot at Chuck's Hop Shop you can bring your food inside and enjoy it with a tasty beer.

Yelp
Lunching in Seattle Ok, finally got a chance to visit this good truck while at Occidental Park. It was a good value and the good was tasty. I got the combo plate with rice salad, 2 lumpia and a chicken strip and was full. If you have a chance go taste & see.
google avatar

Erin M.

Yelp
Wow. Talk about dry, rubbery chicken. Way overcooked. My jaw hurts from having to chew so hard for so long. The breading was not very flavorful, and the two dipping sauces that come with it are only 1/3 of the way full. I was really looking forward to the rosemary garlic fries. I LOVE rosemary. But, yuck. SO greasy. All I could taste was the grease. I didn't even finish half. I've been watching for this truck for a while. Super dissapointed.

Yelp
Today our daily food truck was Chick'n Fix. They claim to be Filipino American cuisine. The staff of the truck where very pleasant and it appears very clean, not scary to order from. They have a few Filipino dishes on the menu but the majority feels more American. I ordered the chicken wings w/ a sweet/spicy sauce and the rosemary garlic fries. You get 5 wings and 1/2 the amount of fries you would get from an order of fries. Total was $8.50. So moderate pricing for a food truck. The wings where fried very well. No crispy skin but not soggy. The sauce was kind of bland. More sweet than spicy which was disappointing. The fries where crisp and fresh with occasional notes of rosemary, but almost no garlic. Honestly they where more just fries. I got there chick sauce which is ketchup + mayo + horseradish. Once again the horseradish was no where to be found. They also offer the stock banana ketchup, sweet sauce and an ok BBQ sauch. For a quick lunch they are ok. A bit overpriced for me to go back.

Yelp
I'm not sure why this food truck doesn't have more good reviews here. Went there yesterday and tried almost everything (they were out of their dessert) and loved it all, I wanted to give them 5 stars! Their prices were reasonable, good food served quickly and warm. Their brown rice is nice and savory with some cilantro, tomato and green onions to brighten each bite. Their lumpia was super tasty and crisp, could have had more of those. My favorite were the bolas, chicken and rice deep fried balls. Their are cheesy chicken and rice goodness coated with breadcrumbs and fried. I could eat those all day. Their sauces were also really good, loved their BBQ and house sauce, tangy with a small kick. Only reason I gave them 4 stars was because of the chicken strips. For a place called Chick'n Fix, I was hoping for more crunch and bigger pieces, they were pretty pitiful. Otherwise, will definitely be back.

Yelp
There are days when I try to do better - to eat a salad or a healthy sandwich with lots of fresh vegetables and lean meat piled high on it. And then there are the days when I want to indulge, to forget eating "healthy," to have ALL the fried things! For those days, I'm glad that the Chick'n Fix food truck makes frequent visits to my neck of Seattle. I generally go for the Combo meal - fried chicken strips, lumpia, and little round balls of fried goodness known as "bola bola" - all are delicious and usually just what's needed, served up with a healthy portion of hot french fries. The service is amazingly fast and unfailingly friendly, and I'm left feeling satisfied...and maybe just a little ashamed at how quickly I've devoured the whole thing. To my friends who stay true to their healthy diets: I admire you, and I'm sorry that sometimes I'm not as strong as you are. But when there's such goodness to be had at places like Chick'n Fix, can you blame me for not being able to resist?
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered the combo and everything tasted great. Quick friendly service. Fries were yummy too. They take amex.

Joyce J.

Yelp
Really well fried bola bola! I didn't know what I wanted for lunch but as I walked out in the cold November wind, I ended up really wanting fried chicken. So when I saw the truck parked next to the Skyline building, I decided to stop. The server was really friendly so I ended up ordering the bola bola without knowing what it is. But wow they were good ! I Googled bola bola while I was waiting for my food and learned that it's Filipino chicken fried rice ball. The breading was excellent and fried just to the right amount of crispness. The entree comes with one side and two sauces. I ended up ordering the rosemary fries with the chick'n fixing sauce and the sweet banana ketchup. Both sauces were really good and added twists to the bola bola and your fries. Although I have to say the rosemary fries got boring after a while. I ate all three bola bola right away and the fries paled in comparison. Maybe I will order the brown rice salad next time. It seems like the bola bola can use better sides.
google avatar

Neko K.

Yelp
The menu is kinda confusing. I first thought the truck was the happy byproduct of a bi-racial relationship. I talked to one of the workers and learned I was wrong. Well, I guess everybody loves fried stuff. :) I have tried most of it on the menu, and my favorite is their fried chicken and macaroni salad. Apparently, they buy their chicken daily and only from WA farms. Never frozen. Maybe it has to do with the freshness of their chicken, but it does not make you hate yourself afterwards. Some fried chicken makes you question your life and poor decisions you have made. Theirs does not. It is very crispy outside and moist/seasoned inside. Oprah should send her BFF, Gayle, on another food adventure. I honestly think it is better than Ezell's. My only complaint is the lack of GREEN options. But, once in a while, they offer fried chicken salad that comes with ranch and Italian dressing. Salad is obviously from a bag and dressing is from a generic bottle, but it manages to get you off guilt trip and boosts your self-esteem. And, lastly, their macaroni salad is GOOD. It has APPLES!!!!! It is very refreshing.

John C.

Yelp
We had the amazing chicken strip, which were large, juicy, and had the perfect amount of breading. We also ordered the Bola Bola, which was a wonderful chicken and rice balls with curry spices. And the employees were courteous and professional. We'll definitely be back!
google avatar

James N.

Yelp
Food was fine and prices were fair. Not the most healthy, but who cares. Service was good, woman in the window was very friendly and nice. I ordered the chicken strips with rosemary garlic fries. Everything was hot and fresh, chicken was white meat and juicy. Probably not something I would eat everyday but once a month is good.
google avatar

Alina H.

Yelp
My friend and I were intrigued by their bola bola so we decided to get this for lunch one day. I got 3 bola bola with fries while my friend got the combo which includes 1 bola bola, 1 chicken strip, 2 lumpia, and fries. Everything was so lackluster. I only ate 1 of my bola bola, it was just so average and didn't taste that great. Good idea but just no flavor in them. I couldn't taste the chicken in them either. The lumpia was just alright. The chicken was probably the best thing here. The rosemary garlic fries barely had any garlic or rosemary. They gave you quite a lot of fries so their portions are good. The fries had so much potential but if only it was seasoned better. I liked the banana ketchup more than their chick n fix special sauce but it was strange how only 1/3 of it was filled in their container. The whole thing was pretty greasy and everything was heavy so be prepared to go back to work with a food coma since the only thing going for them is their big portions.
google avatar

Matt N.

Yelp
I ordered the combo-plate with fries. The chicken was OK, not bad, but not life-changing. The batter was unremarkable in every way and while crispy, the Col. has more flavor (and that's not a good thing). The eggrolls and rice-balls (i.e. chicken rather than more typical pork and the deep-fried rice-ball with a rice & chicken mix inside) were more novel than delicious. The fries were also OK, with decent flavoring and well cooked, but, yet again, nothing new. Staff was friendly and once you made it through the line the food appeared quickly. This food truck is solid but unremarkable. It's neither the best fried chicken that I've had, nor does the nominal Filipino tilt provide any interesting taste sensations. Nothing bad here at all, but nothing memorable either.
google avatar

Harsh M.

Yelp
This food truck is situated very close to my workplace on one of the days of the week. While I am not a very big fried chicken fan, I decided to give this a try for the Bola bolas and the Lumpias. Being a experimental foodie, I had to order the combo to get a taste of pretty much everything with the brown rice salad. Everything in the combo was decent. I paid $10 for the combo. The wait time was 5-7 minutes for my order.
google avatar

Yelp
[EDIT: Those of you who may have seen my previous review; after speaking with Jon, the owner, we have cleared up what appears to have either been a misunderstanding or technical issue] Chick'n Fix is tasty and consistently good. There's always a line up the block of people waiting to get their lunch. The herbed fries are fantastic, as is their juicy chicken.

D C.

Yelp
Excellent, juicy chicken! Nice crunchy batter! Fries were addictive, especially with the special dipping sauce. Well worth it - will be looking for them in the future...just happened upon them today! :-)

Yelp
I tried the chicken sampler, and was surprised at how many items one could sample: one chicken lumpia, one bola bola (chicken and rice ball), two chicken fingers, and a mountain of rosemary garlic fries. The rosemary garlic fries were thinly cut and seasoned with rosemary and chopped garlic. The bola bola was a ball of rice and meat breaded and deep fried. The chicken fingers were at least a quarter of a chicken's worth of meat, but as others have noted, the breading had limited flavor (this is where the multitude of homemade sauces come to the rescue). Sauces include banana ketchup (ketchup plus hint of banana for sweetness) and sweet chili ketchup. They will let you have two sauces if you ask. The lumpia was my absolute favorite of all of the items I sampled. Maybe because lumpia is a signature Filipino dish, the sister to Indian samosas, Asian fried spring rolls, and Mexican taquitos. My co-workers and I wished we could have ordered only the lumpia. Cheatsheet: Come for the lumpias and the fries! Service is prompt and friendly.
google avatar

Pierson B.

Yelp
I just decided to get my chicken fix on for lunch and was very pleasantly surprised. The front woman is very friendly, the food was well prepared and fresh, and reasonably priced. All pluses in my books. I'm sure that once my cravings for deep fried deliciousness resurfaces I'll probably go back for a visit.

Yelp
Chick'n Fix frequents our work's parking lot every once in awhile, and a couple months ago (I know, a late review - boo!) I decided to try them out. Why? Because my colleagues were eating there, and the delicious smell of chicken goodness and those rosemary fries permeated the office. Not knowing exactly what I wanted, I got the combo so I could try each of their 3 "mains" (bola bola, chicken fingers, & lumpia). The chicken strips are made of real white chicken breast, and are incredibly juicy and tender (no pun intended). However, my only criticism is that the breading on the chicken (which is hand dipped, btw) was relatively flavorless. The bola bola were good, and I loved the lumpia. I tried them again, only to sample the rice salad and I believe I had the lumpia again. The rice salad is a nice contrast to the crunchy fried goodness that comes with the 3 "mains", and was a refreshing side. I like that there is a choice! The service is always relatively quick, and super duper friendly. Prices are definitely on point, which makes this "treat" feel really affordable and of excellent value. Thanks, Chick'n Fix!

Yelp
Okay, I don't know how helpful my review will be because I am only basing this on the Garlic Rosemary Fries I had. I already ate lunch, but had seen this food truck was coming, so checked on Yelp for reviews and pictures. I saw the pictures of the fries, and just had to try them. For $3.50, I would say it was a good amount of fries. They have different sides of sauce that they offer, and I asked for the Banana Ketchup. Couldn't tell why it was called Banana Ketchup, but it said it had a hint of chipotle in it, which must have been a very tiny hint, because I didn't see it. But I really enjoyed the fries. They were exactly the kind of crispiness I like, and the skinny kind of fries that I like. It wasn't salty or too garlicky, but I would prefer it to be a little more seasoned. Maybe when I didn't already have lunch, or feel like going back to work a few pounds heavier, I will try a whole meal next time.
google avatar

Collene M.

Yelp
This place is amazing! I got the sampler. When I read that bola bola were chicken and rice balls, I was prepared to be disappointed. Best. Surprise. Ever. It's like a little deep fried taco bell burrito--there's sauces and seasoning in it. To call it just, "chicken and rice," is an insult to the poor bolas. The lumpia was tasty also, however the chicken tenders were bland. Kind of disappointing from a place called "Chick'n Fix," but their BBQ sauce is good enough to mask the disappointment, and the bola makes up for it.

Jeremy H.

Yelp
There guys parked right next to fifty people watching a soccer game and smoked us out with their generator. I can't say what their chicken taste like, but the food truck smells terrible. Mostly like exhaust mixed with chicken grease.
google avatar

Jose M.

Yelp
I consider myself a chicken tender connoisseur. The chicken tenders here are good I still think something is lacking. I am fan of the famous Ezells tender so that could be the reason. These tenders lack flavor in my opinion. Maybe pepper or spicy... Price is right. The worst, they offer rice to replace your fries?! Seriously that does not make sense I almost flipped the truck when she asked me that.
google avatar

Trevor M.

Yelp
Made to order, but didn't take very long and they walked it to our table at Chuck's. Very reasonable price for the combo and the food was delicious. One of the better food trucks I've tried lately. Not oily for fried food, you can tell the oil was very clean and they didn't rush it.
google avatar

Shila B.

Yelp
One of my favorite food trucks. Locations have changed but managed on the passed few trips to get a little something. I got the platter for 2 with a few sides. Not the healthiest of choice but a fun foodie choice. Bring lots of napkins, like a strong industrial kind as you will need them. Very flavorful and tender. OMG this is such a welcome guilty pleasure.
google avatar

Chuu C.

Yelp
I really liked the service there and the food was good for its value ! Ordered the lumpia with fries. Found them near the convention center. Thanks for the great food, keep it up.
google avatar

Matt S.

Yelp
The chicken tasted frozen but it was deep fried to a crispy texture. The real winner was the rosemary fries- perfectly cooked and full of flavor.
google avatar

Jeffrey V.

Yelp
I ordered the combo to try all the fried goodness. Overall, it was very tasty, filling, and fast. Service was quick, and they saw that I was disabled and bagged up my order (without me even asking) so I wouldn't risk spilling it on my way back to my office. Little things like that really make a difference for me. The chicken tender was outstanding. The chicken was moist and tender, not dried out like most fast food chicken tenders. Some may find the breading to be a bit bland, but I appreciated that the chicken took took center stage and the meat itself had plenty of flavor. The bola bola (fried chicken and rice ball) was also excellent, with a nice kick. I'm a wimp when it comes to spice, so I approve of the bola bolas going for flavor and not just heat. The lumpia (chicken taquito/eggroll) and fries were good, but really overshadowed by the other items. If all I'd had was a lumpia plate I'd have enjoyed it, but now I'm torn trying to decide what to get next time... Combo again, chicken tenders, or bola bola?
google avatar

Emily I.

Yelp
Fast, friendly service, but expect there to be a line. I tried the Bola Bola today with the BBQ and the Sweet Chili sauce. Also had the rosemary garlic fries (crispy and delicious). Wasn't impressed with the BBQ sauce, but recommend the Sweet Chili.

Melanie B.

Yelp
This truck was really good when I first went a few weeks ago but now it is slipping in quality. Before the rosemary and garlic fries were very flavorful and the seasoning was evenly distributed. On my last two visits, it is in one spot at the bottom of the fries. Several fries were under cooked or bot cooked at all. Chicken was good, Bola Bola was good, Lumpia was poor. Three stars average over my several visits, but if I was to rate on today's visit only I would give 2 stars.

Miriam E.

Yelp
Yes, Yes, Yes... This white meat chicken strips are good even when they are cold the next day. The dipping sauce is to die for and the mac salad with the fruit will have you craving for a fix in the middle of the night. Yummy!

Delicious food, and wonderful people. We tried everything on the menu except the brown rice and everything was super delicious. They went the extra mile to bring our food to where we were sitting to avoid our having to make a trip back while wrangling two little ones. 10/10

Yelp
Portion sizes are huge, so it's a good deal even if the food is so-so. I got the combo meal for $10 so I could try everything. Had to wait about 30 minutes for it behind a crowd of Amazonians, but everything was fresh. You get two sauces - I went for the Chickn Fix Ketchup and Mesquite BBQ. BBQ was average, the ketchup had a nice amount of horseradish and added a lot of flavor to everything. The chicken was the main highlight. Each strip is about 1/3 of a chicken breast, so they're super hearty. Crispy breading, juicy tender meat, but it could have definitely used a bit more seasoning. Bring salt and pepper packets if you can. Otherwise, it's great. Lumpia are basically just great chicken eggrolls. The bola bola are essentially fried spanish rice balls with bits of chicken, although I couldn't really taste the chicken over the rice. Wasn't really a big fan. Chick'n Fix adds rosemary to their fries, which I found interesting. Halfway through my chicken tender I was beginning to wonder if I was eating fried rotisserie chicken, but then I looked at the fries. It was just odd for me to have that strong herb taste when all I wanted was grease and breading. And there's a LOT of grease and breading. I'm sitting here now in the aftermath, slightly regretting my decisions and wishing I had a fruit smoothie or a nice salad to balance it out. But if I can guarantee anything about Chick'n Fix, it's that it won't leave you hungry.

Yelp
Not sure why this truck doesn't have more reviews! If you're looking to fully immerse yourself in a "cheat day" this is a great option. The food is made to order, which is awesome but you will want to give yourself a few extra minutes for the wait. I got the combo: the chicken was super moist and not too greasy, and bola bola were really tasty and the egg rolls were okay. Nice to try everything though. I got the rosemary fries as a side and they were good but a bit soggy from all of the main items sitting on top of them. Overall really tasty food though!
